Service was good. Food is good and the waffle is very good. I tried a dish I had nvr heard of but it was well worth the try.

I wish I lived closer or I would totally come back! They had an extensive menu and the food was good. Just waited a bit long for the food.

New age spin on the old school greasy spoon diner. Plenty of people who came in were definitely locals and regulars, which have it that old diner vibe. Nice enough though for us city slickers who might turn a nose at a torn vinyl seat. Their waffle selection was fairly unique and ranged outside the standard regular and blueberry. I got the apple pie waffles which were a real treat. Everyone in my family ate all their food, which is a rarity. And for that alone, 5 stars.

This place was great It seems like a little bit of a whole I. The wall but the restraint was warm and comfortable. The food was amazing. I personally had the honey butter waffle and it was delicious l. I also enjoyed their orange juice that seemed freshly squeezed. The iced tea was definitely old or the brewer needs cleaned but other than that, all of our food was great. Our waitress was kind and attentive but seemed stressed. I would definitely go again because the food was wonderful!

Nice little place to grab a great tasting breakfast. Set right away and had excellent service. The waffles and eggs were cooked perfectly. Very reasonably priced.

The food tasted good. Our server was friendly and personable. The outdoor seating was comfortable. However, the prices were a bit random. Between $8 and $12 for just a waffle seems kind of crazy. Our friend got the Honey Butter waffle. It was as described: a waffle with a portion of butter with honey, and nothing else. On the other hand, I got the chicken wings and waffle and it was as described: waffle, chicken wings. But mine was only a few dollars more. Great price for the wings but terrible price for just the waffle. The waffles were good but they were not amazing. I've had waffles pretty much as good at a hotel "make-your-own" waffle station.

It's a chain. But a fine one. Waffles are hot and fresh and come in an infinite number of varieties. I had the honey butter version and it arrived with just the right amount of honey butter and a dusting of powdered sugar. Grab the meat sides, they are a bargain not usually seen in breakfast joints. My 90 year old mom accompanied me on this visit and her Belgian waffle disappeared slathered in syrup, warm at that. Our service was as pristine with quick seating and explanations for each specialty creation.

Nice place for a diner style breakfast. Service was very friendly and took our orders very quickly. Also love the giant waffle on the ceiling. All the food came out very quick and was very hot. The Chicken N' Waffle was awesome, the waffle was sweet, fluffy on the inside, and a little crisp on the outside, perfect for soaking up maple syrup. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, juicy and tender on the inside, fell right off the bone, had a crispy breading on the outside, and were savory and salty to balance the waffle and maple syrup.

It has been awhile since eating at a Wally Waffle. Long overdue for sure! We were on a bike ride through town and needed some energy. Everything was perfect and as I remembered. Pancakes were moist and delicious. Went with the sausage and ham for proteins and hit the spot. If you haven't been here before, check it out!

This place is open until 2pm and it's very good. The staff were really friendly and the place not bad. Everything sounds so good on the menu and I seen some customers food next to us the bacon was perfectly crispy... the grits were delicious too the texture of the grits were perfect. Well done Everyone!

    Better Day Waffle & bacon

I was in Akron for a business meeting & always looking for local restaurants to try. Wally waffle did not disappoint. The variety of waffles they offer are most excellent. I got the waffle called better day & let me tell you it started my day just right. It was made with oat bran muffin batter & filled with apples, raisins, pecans, coconut, pineapple, & carrot. Then topped with a whole sliced banana. On top of delicious food the service & staff were top notch. My coffee cup was never empty the entire time I was there, food was out in a timely manner. Definitely will be going back the next time I'm in town.

Wally Waffles has always been one of my hometown favorites. I live out of town now so whenever I've in town I make sure it's in my list of stops to make. They have mastered a busy environment from all the hungry people and consistently provide amazing service. I'm truly never disappointed. The pecan waffle is my go to, this buttermilk waffle with yummy pecans always hits the spot.

I'd only just heard of Wally's the night before from a family member in this area. In the morning when we were ready to leave our lodging, I checked the join waitlist button on Yelp. We parked right out front. We were seated within 2 minutes of arrival. Our server Stacey exemplified customer service as its best. I had a fabulous Belgian waffle, along with eggs, hash browns and turkey sausage. The coffee was just okay and they didn't have flavored creamer on the table. I didn't ask, so maybe they do upon request. They call their hash browns Wally Potatoes, so I assumed they would be home fries. Hash browns are my favorite and they were perfectly browned. I would come back!

I've never been here before but I know it's a fairly popular place so I was quick to agree to the location. We originally sat at the bar but the stools were so incredibly uncomfortable, so we moved to a booth. While our server was nice, it did take her quite a while to come take our drink order. I got a "lavendar breeze" for my first drink and it was delicious. The menu is small, with the focus being on grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm not a huge grilled cheese lover, so I ordered a wedge salad (with house white French dressing) and the sauerkraut balls from the appetizer menu. The salad was on par with what you'd expect, the dressing was tasty. The sauerkraut balls, though, kind of threw me. First, it's a HUGE serving. There was around 30-40 sauerkraut balls in the basket; way more than I ever imagined would be in an order. I was expecting four or five golf ball sized balls. Maybe I've been spoiled by having some fantastic sauerkraut balls, but these were subpar, at best. They didn't have a lot of flavor and the cocktail sauce they served with them was an odd choice. While I still enjoyed time catching up with a friend and the drinks were well done, I doubt I'll come back for food. The menu just wasn't appealing to me and what I did have wasnt good enough to lure me back anytime soon.

They have a taco Tuesday thing but it's not a discount it's 3 tacos and you can mix and match from what they make. Which is not really a special in my opinion. The place has a nice patio and inside can fit an about 10 tables of various sizes. And the bar has seating. Cute place. I see it can get crowded on a Friday night or Saturday night. We got the green bean app for the table. They are cooked perfectly with teriyaki glaze and some tempura but not a lot. They have a sauce that has a bit of a kick but not bad. These are good and good to share. Good portion. I ordered the steak and gruyere sandwich and chips. Sandwich was good. Not big but very flavorful and good. Would have liked a bigger banquette for the sandwich. Ok amount of meat. It was good. The chip side was very crunch and good amount. But to me the chips were a bit greasy tasting. Needed more salt and a bit of flavor. It was a ok meal. The friend that suggested the restaurant got the Ohio burger. It was huge. She cut it into 4's and only ate half. It was big! She also got the chips. Again chips were ok just a bit oily tasting and need salt. The dining area is loud. Lots of people in close proximity talking. It's hard to hear and sound is bouncing. Don't get me wrong: the food is fine (in the most mediocre sense). Full disclosure: We don't eat red meat, so I can't comment on their steaks, which is what the place is known for. This is a classic case of tradition masquerading as fine dining. There's no subtly or nuance to the cuisine. The oysters Rockefeller was overly sauced, and the salad was overdressed. My salmon was a bit overcooked, but the baked potato was very good. The dessert, a brownie with ice cream, ate like a Little Debbie squirted with Hershey chocolate sauce. I will say that our server was wonderful and was working very hard. The ambiance, however, was sad. We were seated in the bar area on very uncomfortable wooden benches. Honestly, it felt like a Cracker Barrel. At the bar was an obnoxiously loud man dropping F-bombs and saying homophobic things. He pretty much ruined any enjoyment we had a hope of having. Finally, Diamond Grille doesn't accept credit cards, which we knew, but again, our enjoyment was dampened by having to keep track of how much everything cost so we didn't spend more than the cash we had gotten out of the ATM on our way. The hostess told us they were planting their feet and never taking cards, and I just don't understand why, in the 21st century, a business would alienate customers like this. All in all, this place is resting on its past reputation, and in my opinion, it's unearned.
