    1 waffle, to go, please

New age spin on the old school greasy spoon diner. Plenty of people who came in were definitely locals and regulars, which have it that old diner vibe. Nice enough though for us city slickers who might turn a nose at a torn vinyl seat. Their waffle selection was fairly unique and ranged outside the standard regular and blueberry. I got the apple pie waffles which were a real treat. Everyone in my family ate all their food, which is a rarity. And for that alone, 5 stars.

This place was great It seems like a little bit of a whole I. The wall but the restraint was warm and comfortable. The food was amazing. I personally had the honey butter waffle and it was delicious l. I also enjoyed their orange juice that seemed freshly squeezed. The iced tea was definitely old or the brewer needs cleaned but other than that, all of our food was great. Our waitress was kind and attentive but seemed stressed. I would definitely go again because the food was wonderful!

I wish I lived closer or I would totally come back! They had an extensive menu and the food was good. Just waited a bit long for the food.

Nice little place to grab a great tasting breakfast. Set right away and had excellent service. The waffles and eggs were cooked perfectly. Very reasonably priced.

The food tasted good. Our server was friendly and personable. The outdoor seating was comfortable. However, the prices were a bit random. Between $8 and $12 for just a waffle seems kind of crazy. Our friend got the Honey Butter waffle. It was as described: a waffle with a portion of butter with honey, and nothing else. On the other hand, I got the chicken wings and waffle and it was as described: waffle, chicken wings. But mine was only a few dollars more. Great price for the wings but terrible price for just the waffle. The waffles were good but they were not amazing. I've had waffles pretty much as good at a hotel "make-your-own" waffle station.

It's a chain. But a fine one. Waffles are hot and fresh and come in an infinite number of varieties. I had the honey butter version and it arrived with just the right amount of honey butter and a dusting of powdered sugar. Grab the meat sides, they are a bargain not usually seen in breakfast joints. My 90 year old mom accompanied me on this visit and her Belgian waffle disappeared slathered in syrup, warm at that. Our service was as pristine with quick seating and explanations for each specialty creation.

Nice place for a diner style breakfast. Service was very friendly and took our orders very quickly. Also love the giant waffle on the ceiling. All the food came out very quick and was very hot. The Chicken N' Waffle was awesome, the waffle was sweet, fluffy on the inside, and a little crisp on the outside, perfect for soaking up maple syrup. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, juicy and tender on the inside, fell right off the bone, had a crispy breading on the outside, and were savory and salty to balance the waffle and maple syrup.

Butter waffles and crispy chicken wings powder sugar.

This place is open until 2pm and it's very good. The staff were really friendly and the place not bad. Everything sounds so good on the menu and I seen some customers food next to us the bacon was perfectly crispy... the grits were delicious too the texture of the grits were perfect. Well done Everyone!

It has been awhile since eating at a Wally Waffle. Long overdue for sure! We were on a bike ride through town and needed some energy. Everything was perfect and as I remembered. Pancakes were moist and delicious. Went with the sausage and ham for proteins and hit the spot. If you haven't been here before, check it out!

    Better Day Waffle & bacon

I was in Akron for a business meeting & always looking for local restaurants to try. Wally waffle did not disappoint. The variety of waffles they offer are most excellent. I got the waffle called better day & let me tell you it started my day just right. It was made with oat bran muffin batter & filled with apples, raisins, pecans, coconut, pineapple, & carrot. Then topped with a whole sliced banana. On top of delicious food the service & staff were top notch. My coffee cup was never empty the entire time I was there, food was out in a timely manner. Definitely will be going back the next time I'm in town.

Wally Waffles has always been one of my hometown favorites. I live out of town now so whenever I've in town I make sure it's in my list of stops to make. They have mastered a busy environment from all the hungry people and consistently provide amazing service. I'm truly never disappointed. The pecan waffle is my go to, this buttermilk waffle with yummy pecans always hits the spot.

I'd only just heard of Wally's the night before from a family member in this area. In the morning when we were ready to leave our lodging, I checked the join waitlist button on Yelp. We parked right out front. We were seated within 2 minutes of arrival. Our server Stacey exemplified customer service as its best. I had a fabulous Belgian waffle, along with eggs, hash browns and turkey sausage. The coffee was just okay and they didn't have flavored creamer on the table. I didn't ask, so maybe they do upon request. They call their hash browns Wally Potatoes, so I assumed they would be home fries. Hash browns are my favorite and they were perfectly browned. I would come back!

The food was absolutely fire. I ordered the fish & grits, and every single bite delivered. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, the toast and eggs were spot-on, and the potatoes were cooked just right -- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. It honestly brought a tear to my eye and transported me straight back to breakfast at my grandma's table. But that crispy fish? That was the star of the show, baby!! Golden, perfectly seasoned, fried to perfection -- the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it. When I come back to Akron I look forward to trying more things in the menu. They staff were laid back and the chef was hella pretty. Definitely a gem in Akron if you're craving breakfast food.

I've never been here before but I know it's a fairly popular place so I was quick to agree to the location. We originally sat at the bar but the stools were so incredibly uncomfortable, so we moved to a booth. While our server was nice, it did take her quite a while to come take our drink order. I got a "lavendar breeze" for my first drink and it was delicious. The menu is small, with the focus being on grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm not a huge grilled cheese lover, so I ordered a wedge salad (with house white French dressing) and the sauerkraut balls from the appetizer menu. The salad was on par with what you'd expect, the dressing was tasty. The sauerkraut balls, though, kind of threw me. First, it's a HUGE serving. There was around 30-40 sauerkraut balls in the basket; way more than I ever imagined would be in an order. I was expecting four or five golf ball sized balls. Maybe I've been spoiled by having some fantastic sauerkraut balls, but these were subpar, at best. They didn't have a lot of flavor and the cocktail sauce they served with them was an odd choice. While I still enjoyed time catching up with a friend and the drinks were well done, I doubt I'll come back for food. The menu just wasn't appealing to me and what I did have wasnt good enough to lure me back anytime soon.

Seriously kudos to the wait staff - best service I've had in years. Food is always great at Crave as well. We started with salads and the steak skewers which are jam packed with spice and flavor. My husband loved his smoked Gouda Mac and cheese with crispy chicken on top. He tried so hard to save some for leftovers but ended up not being able to. I had the salmon which was perfect medium and had a really good Asian sauce with it accompanied by rice and veggies which were also cooked to perfection. It has been on my list for ages but it isn't close to my house and the wait is always long! But in March 2026, my bf and I braved the wait so I can finally check this place out! Overall, it is clear why Blue Door is always packed - the food, while overpriced, is delicious and made by a team of talented chef and bakers! I'll say this was a 4.5 star experience. We were quoted a wait for about 45 minutes but we were seated after 30. The case of baked goods were enticing me the entire time but I resisted! Our waiter, Steven, was funny, helpful, and had a great personality. The place, obviously, was packed, with little room in between tables. We saw quite a few patrons order the incredibly indulgent horchata French toast ($24) and I don't think I witnessed anyone finish it! To start, I got a coffee from local coffee roasters, Angel Falls, for $3.50 and my boyfriend treated himself to a fancy hot chai $6.50. It was pretty good local coffee! I wanted to try their famous croissants so I ordered the croque madame croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes ($21). The croque madame was incredible! The breakfast potatoes could have benefited from an interesting seasoning. My boyfriend wanted everything on the menu but decided on getting the "special menu" loaded baked potato breakfast burger with salt+vinegar brined house chips (aka fries) for $24. The potato inside was a large potato latke. This heavenly creation kept him full for hours. In the end, our bill was pretty pricey for a brunch but we enjoyed every bite. I'm not sure if I will be able to come here again since we got lucky with our wait, but they keep changing their menu and something might entice me so much, I'll endure any wait!
