I WAS SO UPSET WHEN I GOT HOME. I ordered one of the most simplest orders - raisin bagel with cream cheese and jelly. Simple right??? When I got home, I had gotten a raisin bagel with cream cheese and LETTUCE....???????! What the hell was this? WHO even orders this?? Instantly I called the store and they claimed I never went there. The location is really nice to look at and they have anything you could imagine, from candy to black and white cookies. The problem is that the bagels, which is the purpose for the place existing, aren't great. They are below average bagels but the biggest problem here is that some people working there can't get an order correct. Simple orders like an egg and cheese with two eggs on a sesame bagel somehow come out wrong more than they are right. Charged for two eggs, get one. Salt and pepper only and it's covered in ketchup. Sometimes it comes with bacon. I will say that it's usually the one guy that butchers the order, but it shouldn't happen. Additionally, when they do get it right it's just meh and the portions just feel smaller with small eggs and squished bagels. Save you time and money and go elsewhere. Great spot to get a bagel or a freshly made breakfast sandwich. I come here randomly for breakfast when I am starving or already running late for work so might as well not be late and hungry! lol My co-workers also frequent this place since they have a great variety of bagels, cream cheeses and sandwich options. Their healthy breakfast options are also pretty good. I went with a ham, egg and cheese on a croissant and the croissant had just been freshly baked and was huge! I devoured my sandwich and my co-worker who got the Wally's Protein Wake Up ate half and saved the rest since it was a big portion. Hers consisted of 5 Egg Whites, Turkey, Broccoli and Low Fat Swiss. This is a go to spot for a Saturday morning brunch when I'm in the area. One of a few really great bagel joints in Bergen/Rockland County so this is in rotation with some pretty tough competition. Everything I've had here been delicious. I can vouch for their bagels (any flavor) and their omelettes. Every time I've ordered, they've been generously filled with fresh toppings and quick, no matter the wait. The omelettes also come with toast or a bagel, so why the heck not grab that bagel. Wallys Bagels, what used to be the place to go for a good bagel that was closest to my house is not the case anymore. Time and time again I go in ask for the same thing every time and somehow they never get it right 80% of the time. I ask for no pepper, I get pepper. I ask for two eggs, I get one. The crazy thing is they even write it down on a piece of paper. I wish they could just go to a computerized system so they'll be able to read what they wrote and not mess it up so many times. I've never had a problem with anything I have ordered from Wally's and they will continue to receive my business for many years to come. I usually get the breakfast burrito minus the salsa (just a personal preference) and it always comes out great. If you're in the area and in the mood for a breakfast sandwich of some sort definitely stop in here. One of the owners used to work at Ronnie's in Norwood (now closed) and my girlfriend used to go in there all the time. When we first went in there and he was working he immediately recognized her and remembered her from when she was growing up. They are great for bagels and will honor the bagel price, but try and order sandwiches and they will up-charge you $1.00 more for hero (which is understandable), $1.00 more for lettuce, tomato and onions even though their sign says it's included. We ordered 4 pastrami sandwiches on heroes, 2 of them with lettuce and tomatoes, 1 with lettuce, tomatoes and onion. The lady making the sandwiches originally told me it's $1.50 more for hero and $1.50 more for lettuce and tomato. I told her on the website it says it was included. Then she said pastrami is different, pastrami is not included on sandwiches because it's more expensive and it's normally served on rye. I second guessed what I saw on the menu online and then looked at the menu displayed in the store. Pastrami is included on sandwiches and lettuce, tomato and onions are included. They tried to argue with me that the prices displayed are old and went to check their computer if the prices matched, which they did, but they added $2 extra per sandwich. While writing this review I realized they charged me for lettuce tomato and onions for 4 sandwiches when only 3 sandwiches had that. Never going back for sandwiches ever again. Most likely never go back for bagels either. Sadly enough, I came in with parents and they were very disappointed with the experience. I'm embarrassed that I recommended Wally's. And the guy behind the counter had the nerve to say to me that he never sees me there and offered us a 10% discount which was never applied to the order. Used to be an awesome bagel spot. This morning I ordered my bagel on door dash because I had to get to work and didn't have time to wait in the line. Door dash said 10 mins and I gave them 20 when I arrived my food was not ready. I asked the guy behind the counter. He rudely asked me my name and when I told him he said it would be an additional 20 mins. I had to be at work so I didn't have time to wait. Was there a line? I went in and ordered 2 sandwiches. One was the egg burrito listed for $5.49 and the other was the cousin Catherine listed for $7.99. Menu with prices is on their wall. The bill was $16.39! WTF? When I asked the woman how that added up, she said to me "You know things have gone up. We have to change the prices on the menus." I never heard of such BS. Ok, Great bagels and love the fact that you get a free bagel when you buy 6, and 2 free when you buy a dozen. However at least once in the past I wasn't given my free bagel, not the end of the world I guess. But, twice I've been short changed by the staff. Today was the worst. I asked for a half dozen everything bagels as usual. The guy rings me up and I see the total is $9.20 instead of 5.70. I ask "did you get me half a dozen?" He replies " I got you a dozen" then tells me he has no change and proceeds to give me $10 change for my 20 and walks away.
