Atmosphere is A+. There is nice "sidewalk" and out back seating. The indoor seating still has a nice feel of outdoor too as their front doors/windows open and really air out the space. The food was all very good, the muffins come out warm and soft. The crepes are delicious and the gourmet grilled cheese was the best I've ever had. If you're a garlic lover I highly recommend. The soup was hearty. Even the orange juice was very good. The menu was marked with vegan and gluten free options. I also really appreciate their attempt to source locally. Clean, friendly local place with a menu with some interesting choices. Has tables, booths and a few seats at a small counter. If there is a wait, seats and games are outside to occupy the family. If walking by with your dog, there are complementary biscuits with a bowl of water. Who can't love a business that remembers our furry loved ones?? Only have eaten breakfast here, but food is consistently good. Coffee is bold and served in generous mugs. Had crepes w/fresh mixed berries that had a light glaze drizzle. Ah, Wally's - just the spot for an alfresco lunch with friends these days - great menu, burgers, wraps, crab cakes, salads - all good.

A definite favorite for me and my family for both breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly and the meals are all very good. One exception is the avocado toast. For 9.95 it comes on two small pieces of raisin(?) or cranberry bread. The avocado spread did not appear to fresh but rather something from the deli section. It wasn't awful tasting but just not worth the money. Although some people rave about the specialty coffee they serve, I'm not a fan. It's extremely strong and bitter. A plus is that they are open year round which is very welcome on LBI. read more

what is there to say about our night at wally's? where should we begin. after a long, hot day soaking up the rays we discovered we were fiending for a fast causal dinner before heading home for the night. after our admittedly long wait (our hostess was great) listening to other patrons complaining nonstop, once we were sat at our table all we wanted was a crisp sip of water. and that water, was BY FAR the best sip of h20 i have ever had. it was a unanimous decision, it was the perfect bottled water poured into a cup taste. the lemon was a fresh touch, and the cup was large enough that we never needed a refill. now we're at the straws. the excitement pumping through our veins when we realized that it was a long bendy straw was palpable. it kept our attention while we waited for our meal for the entire time. now, let's talk about the meal. it was fine. the decor and ambiance was very odd. it was half a cute beach restaurant, half diner, and half outside. the tables were shoved close together and it was very loud. we did not know that it was BYOB until arriving, and while that's not a dealbreaker it would've been nice to know to plan accordingly. the fact that there's an automatic credit card charge on your check in 2023 is also insane, what's up with that. overall, i wouldn't choose to dine here again, but it was an experience. read more

In the last month I have been to Wallys for both dinner and breakfast and I can tell you that breakfast is their meal! I had the avocado toast with fried eggs and it was so delicious. My husband and son also love their meals of pancakes, waffles and a few other items. We will definitely go back for breakfast. Dinner is another story... Didn't love my dinner and I felt very rushed. Their back patio and yard is lovely and we enjoyed eating there versus eating on the sidewalk . While we didn't sit in their new indoor/open area it looks very pretty. So, overall breakfast is five stars, dinner was three stars, atmosphere is quite lovely in the back which would be five stars but not so much in the front which would be three stars. read more

Today My friends and I decided to lunch again at Wally's after a 4 year hiatus. It was a marvelous experience from "soup to nuts". Christine and Neal could not have been more accommodating. The table was private and shaded, and we were seated immediately. The food was absolutely outstanding. Salads, sandwiches, and platters done to perfection. The wedge salad was one of the best ever. This restaurant makes outdoor dining a pleasure. Comfortable chairs, real silverware (pre-wrapped) and an open beautiful space is what you will find upon entering. The backyard space and open "indoor" area help you forget that you are following post-Covid protocols. Jess was our server- she was bright and cheerful and we could tell that the staff worked together as a team. They seemed happy. That makes for a very pleasant environment. The food was excellent. The homemade wild rice and mushroom soup was so tasty, and the Caesar dressing was perfect. The grilled cheese was so gourmet with the toasted crispy bread, pork roll and tomato. Overpriced and overrated. Went with two other people for breakfast and the total came to over $60 for three entrees, a juice, and two coffees. I didn't try the coffee but the two people that did couldn't take more than one sip because it was so bad. Food was mediocre and service was average. Wally's was the perfect stop for brunch during our stay in LBI. There can be a wait but it wasn't too long for us, and we were taken care of immediately after being seated. Our waitress, Katy, was super helpful with recommendations and in answering our dietary questions and also very patient, which we appreciated. The food hit the spot. We had both the Reese's and cinnamon roll pancakes, and the vegan chickpea burger, which were all very good. It was refreshing to see so many vegan options as well. They also have a fun play area in the back that's good to spend time in while waiting for a table or to work off your food coma-inducing meal. Highly recommended for families and groups looking for a meal in between beach visits. read more

Annette my go to server she is a doll and provides great service and conversation almost daily when me and my father have our breakfast. Corn beef hash is truly so darn good and the eggs are always cooked Fresh to order, also like they have live sports on their tv at all Times , even on the weekends a 2 hour wait is worth the wait! The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. I had the Trenton sandwich today. It was tasty and came with delicious home fries. I had an egg white omelette with ham and cheese. We have dined there before but during the pandemic we really did not go out much. But it was always our go to for their crumb cake which is awesome. So we finally had the opportunity to go back their last week and really appreciated their updates. We loved our table as we got the feel of being outdoors while still being inside. Our Waitress was so polite and friendly (my apologies for not remembering her name). Everyone enjoyed their meals. A no rush feeling which is great. It's a BYOB which is a bonus. After waiting over an hour for a table -- when we were told the wait would be 40 min -- it took another hour to get our food after ordering. When we asked the Manager why tables all around us were receiving their food including families seated after us, the Manager just said they were really busy. No apology. Used to be a good restaurant.
