Return the core was a major hassle as the employee appeared to have no clue what he was doing. Nobody had a uniform on or name tag so forget knowing who you're talking to. The store is a disaster with merchandise laying everywhere. I even noticed they had to post a disclaimer stating that the prices on the products may not be the actual price. I will never go back, 27yr resident of the area.

An American flag stood at the doorway moving with the slight wind, displaying everyone that this place is an American favored business. I came in for a simple tail light replacement bulb. In the low level lighting and overcrowded shelves, I found the light bulb that I needed fault quickly. Upon confronting an employee to purchase, an anorexic female with clothing that seemed two sizes two big immediately informed me that she was not at the counter, I looked left and another employee was looking online at the computer screen, I looked right and saw another fumbling thru a thick booklet admiring the colourful pictures, a third employee was actually assisting a customer. The only other customer that was inside at the time. "I'll bet Auto Zone has better customer service" I announced to the crowd, they all stopped and stared except for the anorexic woman who blindly carried on doing nothing and trying in vain to avoid eye contact. Finally the online looker rudely aghast a breath and checked out the part I picked out. "Debt or credit" she said, i replied with "debt please" she ran it as credit. As I walked outside, the same flag stood at the doorway announcing that this is what America now has to offer. Ugh..

As I was driving my 2008 Chevy Silverado into Kayenta, Arizona, I had 3 service lights come on at once, Service 4-wheel drive, Service Traction Control, Service Stabilizer. I called the service department at my local Chevy Dealer, and they advised me not to drive my pickup any farther and have the truck towed for service. I started arranging for towing through AAA, who provided me with exactly 0.0 options. Then I called the closest Chevy dealer's service department, Morehart Murphy Chevrolet in Durango, Colorado, for advice. That's where Keaton came in. He asked if my pickup was "hopping" when I made a sharp turn. I told him it was, just like when it was in 4 wheel drive. (The dashboard control did not indicate that it was in 4 wheel drive.) He checked with a mechanic, came back with the advice to take the Silverado out of 4 wheel drive. The "hopping" stopped. He then advised me that I could continue to drive my pickup home and to my local dealer for service. Thank you, Keaton! Your advice saved me hundreds of dollars and got me home for the weekend. When I arrived in Durango on the way home, I offered Keaton a generous tip which he could not accept, but I'm happy to thank him by writing this review. Customer focus is sadly lacking across many service industries, e.g., AAA. Happily that is not the case from my experience at Morehart Murphy Chevrolet.

My truck started making a strange noise in the engine on a longer road trip back to Durango. I called every dealership and two mechanics in town, all of which were weeks to months out from being able to look at it. One last shot and I called this crew. "Sure, drop it off in two days and we'll keep it for the day". Arrived two days later, the head mechanic jumped in with me and listened to the noise. It was faint but he heard it. Good thing for me because it saved me from making weird noises in front of experienced people! Got the truck back two days later after having been told exactly what's wrong, what will later on fail, and how much it will cost to fix it. Agreed on price and picked up the truck. Everything runs well and I paid exactly what we agreed on. These guys are legit and I will always have them work on our vehicles from here on out.
