My wife and her sister recently visited the Durango area and on the morning before they were leaving to come home the service light for tire pressure came on. My wife drove her car over to Discount Tire and were asked almost immediately how they could be helped. They took down her information and were told that they would get her in as soin as possible. After a shirt wait, Tyler called her up to let her know that she had 2 nails in her tire, but put her at ease,and told her that he can get the tire repaired. She told me that it was such a good experience and that they had her done in less than a half hour, without an appointment. I have recently needed tire replacement on all four of my cars. DCD is now affiliated with TireRack, from which I ordered my tires, but DTD did the installation, quickly and at reasonable cost. I cannot comment on the tire performance on the DCD site, as they were my selection from TireRack, but it has been great. We had a really wonderful experience with Kyle! We were given a rental vehicle with tires that were in horrible shape and had a terrible experience with the rental company following a flat tire that occurred because of the horrible shape the tire was in when we got the car. Ultimately, the rental company forced us to pay out of pocket for a new tire and submit to them later for reimbursement. Kyle was helpful, efficient, empathetic, and frankly just a highly skilled customer service associate. I used to live in the lower FL Keys and had my tires delivered and installed locally. Always told folks to check out Discount Tire for the savings. Cheaper than Les Schwab etc., but beware. Now I have a store in CO an hour or so away. Put 6 Michelins on our RV a year ago and had to get money back from the insurance they put on my bill that I did not ask for, strike one. Had 4 Bridgestones put on my pick up and saved near $400 over the Les Schwab price, but TPMS needed tune up so did 4 new OEM at $62 each. Same price as Les Schwab. After market $42 at LS and $25 at a part store, OK. These guys tried to sell me a new spare tire cause mine was 10 years old, and then new lug nuts cause Fords are junk. They always want to sell you insurance too. You can save money at DT but I'am pretty sure these guys get a commission for ALL the extras they can sell. So pay attention and check prices. PS They RV had large tires they could not speed balance so beads were put in tires. Front end hopped worse than the trip over. Had them balanced at a local shop. Be careful of the salesman. read more

I will not go back to this dealer. After selling me a complete set of tires there was a massive wobble to the front of my truck. I went back and they said that all the tires were balanced and were not the problem. I trusted that info and spent money on other cures. After a month of trying to fix I went to another tire shop and they found that all four tires were way off on balancing as much as 8 ounces on one tire, 5 on another and 3 on the remaining two. Had them balance the tires and wobble is gone. Trust is important. If they can't be honest they should not be successful. You only have one vote- where you spend your money. During my recent appointment to swap out m winter tires for summer tires , the technician inspected my tires that I brought with me and pro to explain that how much wear and approximately how much time I'd have before needing to purchase new tires. we discussed me returning in July when Discount Tire would have their 4th of July wheel sale. After pay $100 and heading home, I noticed my car wasn't handling the same. Yes, I took into consideration that I now have different tires than before. Nevertheless I made an appointment for tire inspection the following week. Now I was told that I had a tire which is separated and I should not drive away without brand new tires. My goodness this seems like an issue that should have been discovered and discussed when I first went in for the swap out. I could've avoided the $100 installation charge and avoided driving around on a dangerous tire! This isn't the first time that this store sent me away on dangerous tires. Last year I said I'd never go back but those friendly smiles of the service technicians won me over again. Plus the little perks like free balance etc with the purchase of their tires. Never again. I was stuck in Dorango, Colorado on a 4,000 mile road trip with 3 dogs, 2 people, and needed a flat tire fixed on my 2017 model X Tesla. Pros: Check in was fast Once the techs saw my vehicle I got 4 new tires in 25 min Cons: I had to reinflate my tires after I left the shop to drive 800 miles in a day and reset my suspension because the tech didn't know how. The car sat for an hour and a half while my people and dogs wandered through center waiting for the text update I was promised at check in, but the text notification system is slower than the human response. Can't begin to explain how lovely these guys were. They flipped a frantic and desperate scenario into a happy one. We were on a road trip and had run over a nail. Our tire was leaking fast and we didn't have a spare because these were run flat tires. It was 5:45pm and they closed at 6pm. This place is amazing! I'm a local so I'm sharing this for anyone in need of emergency assistance or looking for a trusted tire maintenance place. I had a very slow leak in one tire and worried about having to buy two new tires, which always seems to be the conclusion when I've taken my car to gas stations, tire places, dealerships, etc. I set up an appointment here at the recommendation of a friend and got checked in quickly even though I was 20 minuets early. The service desk guy went outside with me to visually inspect the problem tire and 3 others. He got me set up for the appointment and promised to be done in 30 minutes. He thought the tire could be fixed with no problem. I went back out to the car to get my two pups but one refused to budge because of the noises and chaos. So the tech came up and I asked if pup could just stay in the car while he worked and he said yes, promising to close the back windows to cut down on noise. So thoughtful from a guy who had a million things to do before finishing up for the weekend! So I took pup #2 with me into the waiting area and he decided he needed to "talk" to everyone and everything and say hello and get treats! Well the guys were incredibly friendly to him and patient and sure enough, within 30 minutes I got a text and the service guy came to find me. He handed me the key and paperwork and explained what he had done. I asked if I needed to pay him or wait in line to pay and he said there's no fee for your repair! I mean I couldn't believe my ears! Visiting Durango from Arizona, woke up to a very low tire and TPMS reporting 10psi in front right. Swung into Discount Tire because they were the first place we saw, and they were just opening. Very friendly greeting, COVID rules in place and well managed. These guys pulled a 4 inch nail from my tire, plugged it, replaced the valve stem just because they had the tire off, rebalanced the wheel, and checked the torque on all my lugs, even the tires that they didn't need to touch. First class service all around! And when they were done, they thanked me for stopping in and said "have a safe trip." I said, "Where do I pay?", and the answer was "you don't, these are free services." I will absolutely be taking all my tire needs to Discount in the future. While traveling cross country we inevitably got a screw in one tire. We stopped in to this location in Durango,CO to have the tire patched. Daniel was the first person I spoke to and was very helpful and friendly. The truck went back within a few minutes and before we knew it we were done. As I went to pay, another staff member TJ told me there was no charge. We were completely blown away and confused. This is the second time my tires went bald way before the warranty was up. Within one year they were unusable and needed replacement. I went back to Discount Tire. The store discounted the next set of tires since they went bad before warranty. THIS is their scam. THIS is how they will get you to return for your next set of tires! This is not a value at all. Just because the price is a little bit cheaper than some it is NOT worth the total cost you will pay in the end. Don't be fooled by this ongoing scam!! They shrugged and blamed "Colorado roads" for the early wear. I explained I bought the tires in Colorado with the intention of driving in CO and was given the guarantee and warranty in CO , so that's not really a viable excuse. They told me the warranty is standard and not to expect the tires to actually go the distance. I've been waiting five hours now. Customer service is pretty good with the exception of Steven who called me "hostile" . He just needs to understand the difference between a customer who is upset and angry over something reasonable and one who is aggressive and "hostile". I was just trying to explain this is the second time and the tread wear is different on the back than up front. He kept being defensive with me as if I was blaming him personally and finally interrupted asking me if I wanted his help or not! I definitely didn't appreciate being called "hostile " for trying to explain. He suggested he was about to refuse service to us. I let him know I wouldn't say another word and left it up to my wife to finish explaining. Definitely won't ever come back to this location. read more
