I ordered and paid for a tire at the Walmart Auto Center on Murphy Canyon. I followed all their instructions, rescheduled my appointment as they told me, and showed up--only to be yelled at for standing in the wrong line and then told they didn't even have the tire I already paid for. After being bounced back and forth multiple times, I came in for my scheduled 6PM appointment... and they didn't even have it in the system. Had oil change appointment that I had scheduled in line 2 weeks ago. Arrived on time to be told that they do not have our oil filter in stock for a Hyundai ( due to change of distributer) was actually suggested for me ( the customer ) if I wanted to go to the nearest auto parts store- in the valley in rush hour traffic to BUY MY OWN OIL FILTER and bring it back to Walmart they would change my oil ?!! WTH I expressed they need to stop customers from scheduling oil change appointments on their website - and or at least they GO PURCHASE the oil filters that they are out of to take care of their customers! I had an appointment for new tires,and got there 15 minutes early like they requested. I pull up and park on lane two where it says tires. I get out the car take both my daughters out lock my car and walk to the door. Once I open the door a very short man tells me I can't park there rudely. I get to the desk and they tell me to park exactly where I originally was. I go back and the same short guy told me I asked you if I had an appointment. I told him no you did not he told me I can't park there. He bluntly lied to my face which is the main reason that I got upset and took my business elsewhere. Don't expect to get any kind of actual service if you buy a warranty or "lifetime" balancing package. It only covers you if you don't actually drive your car. I got a nail in my tire. Less than a year old tire. They subtract "wear" from the price of the new tire they have you buy. Then you have to still pay installation & for a new warranty. Also they don't do alignments and if you have uneven wear then your "lifetime" balancing rotation isn't valid anymore. They also won't tell you upfront how much the tire will cost "under warranty " until after they fix it. After a lot of hassle, the guy tried to give me a ballpark. He said I'd still have to pay about half the cost of the tire and he was being "generous " since my tires were unevenly worn. Maybe this is standard practice now, I don't know, but I've always gotten an alignment & balance with installation of new tires & if something happened to them, the company fixed it. I don't know about the other reviewers, but I got exactly what I wanted out of my transaction with this business: 1. I called asking for a price quote on a car battery change. They told me a specific price 2. I asked to make an appointment. They do not take appointments for battery changes, but the representative told me the specific times of the weekdays I should come in order to avoid a long wait. I'm not available on weekdays, so I came first thing when they opened on a Saturday 3. I show up and the price quoted on the phone is still the correct price. 4. They quoted a wait time of 90 min- 2hour (they need to take the oil changes with appointments first). Instead they were ready at around the 60min mark. I wanted a cheap battery that someone would install for free. I got a cheap battery that someone installed for me. I price-shopped. Literally nowhere else had cheaper battery AND someone to install for me (it was either/or at Autozone and Costco)/ Tips: - For battery changes, show up first thing in the AM to be on top of the wait list. They will squeeze you in between the scheduled oil changes - Drive to the back where the auto center is and park your car. - Walk up to the kiosk and just stand there until the representative comes to you. - If your plan is to wander around Walmart, bring comfortable shoes because there is no furniture section where you can sit and wait. There are hard benches in the shoe section though - They will text you once your car is ready, and then you can just head on back to where you dropped off the car. read more

Had 2 tires installed, the next day 1 was completely flat, no nails in the tire or anything, just bad installation. So I called and they said to come in to get it looked at/fixed right away. When I arrived an employee named Robert told me I would have to wait 4+ hours for an inspection. Like most people, I didn't have 4 hours to wait around but he refused to let me schedule an appointment for another day. So now I have to fill up my tire daily just to drive my car to work because they improperly installed my tires that are leaking air... Just go to Costco, it's not worth the hassle. read more

I went to the Walmart Auto Center to get an oil changed and I came back to my car with 4 large scratches on the leather of my steering wheel. Both with the same distance apart from each scratch indicating human error. But when I went to ask them about what happened, they told me it was sun damage. But as I drove away I felt on the bottom of my steering wheel also had the same exact scratch. So I went back and told them and they said it would not be one of us because none of us wear rings. You also talked to the manager and he said it was sun damage. All of those scratchers were not there previously and now my steering wheel feels like sandpaper. read more

I went to get an oil change and came back 2 hrs later to get an update on how much longer it would take only to find out that they couldn't perform the service because they didn't have the filter the car needed. That is a perfectly fine reason, but why did they not inform me earlier. I could've been gone way earlier and 2 hours of my day would've not been wasted. This happened in 2021. Took Lexus in for oil change. The next day, it made it to my job but on the way back home, the engine caught fire. I had to get the car totaled and buy another used car. Two weeks ago, I visited the service center for an oil change. Unfortunately, after the procedure, the technicians failed to replace the oil cap. Consequently, I drove for the past two weeks unaware that the cap was missing, resulting in oil leakage. As a result, I incurred a cost of $700 for engine cleaning and now must undergo another oil change. I sincerely hope that the mechanics will perform their duties with greater diligence in the future. read more

I have been to this location twice, and all I can say is that I have had nothing been a phenomenal experience. One of the guys that helped me was Gilbert. I'm not sure of the name of the other guy. They were awesome. I came in most recently on the afternoon of 11/12/24. My car battery had apparently died when they tried to bring my car into the garage for an oil change. They were so helpful and efficient in helping me with the unexpected addition of needing a new battery. Excellent service. read more

Save your self money and time. Auto center has nefarious practice to generate more money. I brought my car in for an oil change. I scheduled an appointment for a basic oil change. When I arrive the employee working asked are you here for x oil change. I said yes not realizing he up sold me. Whatever, not a big deal since it's my fault for not fully listening. Well the issue arose after i got an oil change. I noticedthat my car was leaking oil. I didn't realize it until a while later and my cousin decides to check it out. Well guess what, they did not put the oil filter in correctly and did not screw the oil pan in correctly as well. So the tray was filled with oil. So I paid for the premium oil change to get a crappy work job done. I called customer service which they were no help and lied to me twice until a manager spoke to me basically telling me that I only had 2 options to resolve the issue and the third option I was referencing did not exist. So that's how I knew I got lied to. After jumping throw many hoops I had to return to the store to try to resolve the issue in person. When I was fed up I just asked for a refund and when the lead scanned my invoice, the amount that the system indicated for a refund was the cost of a basic oil change even though I paid almost 70 dollars. So yeah very nefarious practices happening here and things don't add up. Avoid at all cost. Suggest waiting for a coupon to a better auto center and use that. Even if you're going to pay more at another place, at least you won't be cheated. read more

Bad attitude of the staff, I arrived at 6:20 because they open at 7:00 and I was one of the first and they left me waiting for 2 hours.

Just a few cars in front of mine, but simple oil change took 3 hours from arrival. A dozen other customers watched with me while staff stood around vaping and laughing at us. They never lifted my hood, and did not check or fill any other fluids, so I wonder if they actually changed the oil. Go somewhere else. read more

Came in here for new tires that I had ordered online. I was helped by a few employees that were great in providing customer service. Chad who was there early in the AM, Olivia, who I believe is a Manager or Supervisor and Big Miguel from the actual Tire Center. Let me first explain the tire process, if you purchase a set online. Don't waste your time waiting in line at the tire center as they will send you to the pick up department! You have to pick up your tires from the back of the store and find a way to get them to the Tire Lube Express Center. This alone could be an all day ordeal. Fortunately, I was able to get helped by Chad, who was very courteous and friendly. I was able to get his help because Olivia noticed that I had been waiting for a while at the pick up center. Thanks Olivia for providing some help. Once I had my tires, I was helped by Big Miguel. A helpful guy but needs a little help on working a bit faster. I explained to him I already paid and picked up my tires, just needed them installed. He said no problem. It would be about an hour to an hour and a half. No problem with me, I figured I'll grab breakfast and window shop. I went about my business and picked up some coffee at Starbucks and relaxed there for about 45 minutes, when I get the call from Big Miguel that it is against WalMart's Policy to install tires that are not OEM size based on the door's panel. I explained I have aftermarket wheels and have had them since day one, purchased at the Infiniti Dealer... It didn't matter to him. So i had to make the trek back to get my tires and put them into my Sports Coupe. I eventually had to find another tire shop to install my tires. Good for them bad for Walmart as they already had my business. All in all, I would buy tires from this place and probably wouldn't have a problem getting them installed. Went the to purchase new wiper blades. How simple could that be? Well not so simple when all the reference book for the right ones have missing pages and are useless, about as useless as the girl behind the counter whose purpose in life is to sit on her arse all day and not be bothered helping customers, then say I'm so busy and run and hide when asked for assistance. This is a case of the wrong person for the job, a square peg jammed into a round hole. it happens all the time, people get hired for jobs they're not cut out for. But most business recognise this right away and move or transfer the person, instead this company lets the customer suffer and turns what should be a simple purchase into a big headache. My overall experience here was good (even on a rainy Monday morning ) I came in early (6:30am) for an oil change and added a fuel system cleaning before I set off on a road trip. It was a win beating the lines as you'll find out its best to get here early...since the prices are so affordable. my applause goes to (Leo) working the checkout desk. He's friendly, attentive and works well with customers, he may be a manger since his professionalism was top-shelf. He even wished me well in my travels. I did unnecessarily wait extra time as somehow no one communicated with each other that my car was finished but, I'm patient And the highlight was walking into my freshly vacuumed car that came with the service. I have been to this location a few times. Flat Tire fixed for $10! Wait times are variable here. I have had GREAT LUCK AND BAD LUCK They can be super quick and not so quick. Depends on when you bring your car in. The pricing is decent for an oil change. I like that I can shop at Wal*Mart or go grab food at Vons of McDonalds while I wait. If you choose the right oil change package, they will vaccum your car and clean the inside windows. I also had to have my head light replaced, it only cost me $7.50. Like i said, the pricing here is decent - - if you don't mind waiting for the service. If you wait, they do have a small seating area to relax. Bring your book or iPad. They open as early as 6AM some days. This can be quite convenient to arrive early before they get super busy. (I usually don't plan that far ahead and come well after the line has gotten long!) read more

The mechanics have done a pretty good job every time. They are friendly and get the job done. This review is about the horrible receptionist. She is rude, literally every time I've been there, and she is a total moron at her job! She can't answer simple questions, so she always yells at me that a technician is coming to tell me how the tire program works. All I wanted her to do is look me up in the system and she won't let me get a word in. I don't know what the point of having a receptionist is, if they won't even look up clients. I had inquiries about prices, and she can't even do that-I have to come in and talk to someone. Either teach her to do her job or get someone who can. I can't say enough about how awful her people skills are, just rude, interruptions the entire time, has actually yelled at me in the past for going into the shop. I will not come back here ever again. It's sad you are losing clients over an incompetent receptionist when the mechanic services are so good. read more

This is my go-to for oil changes. I go here for the price because my car takes synthetic oil which is usually really expensive. I think it's about $40-$50 if I remember correctly. Here's the catch....it takes a LONG time to get your car back. Like be prepared to drop it off and come back for it in at LEAST three hours. I'm totally ok with that for the price. They open at 6 or 7am so you can try to beat the rush. I've been there at 7am on a weekend and the line is already like 6 cars deep. I have used them for over 12 years and we have over 80 tires on all our vehicles, trailers and equipment. I have spent thousands of dollars with them and have 100's invested in their road hazard warranty but we are going with H and R tire from here on out. They lost their service manager that had been there for years and their service has become horrible. I had friends say they would never use Walmart and I wondered why, we always had good service at ours... I didn't realize it all was because of Don Easter.
