The part cost $150.00 at the dealership not $257.66. 'Shop Rates' (labor) are $170.00 not $260.00. They charged me $15.00 for 'shop supplies. What shop supplies did they use ? They charged me $15.00 for 'EPA/waste removal.. I took the old part home with me ! Sub total was $647.66!! if i paid cash it would have been $659.17. $12.00 more if I paid cash ? if I paid with a CC it was $698.72. $51.00 more if i used a credit card?! That doesn't even make sense!! They never offered a senior discount when I was at the counter to pay. The never offered a Veterans discount when I was at the counter to pay. We completely expected them to keep our car overnight but they got to work as soon as we got there. I can't believe how surprised we were and how relieved we were, I'm sure they thought they were just doing their job but it meant much more to us than that. After having dinner and discussing what happened, we decided to stay in Show Low for the evening so we could bring them pizza first thing in the morning. I don't remember if it was quite two decades of experience he had working for international mechanic before he opened his shop, but it was quite a few years to be sure. Shawn is a friendly owner operator of the shop who specializes in big truck diesel engine repair. This isn't the shop to bring your Prius for new batteries, but if you have a big truck with a diesel engine this could be the guy for you. I have found Sean to be far more friendly and honest than dealing with most of the dealers in the area. When it comes to getting things done the only bummer can be that since he's only a two man shop he can get a little bit behind it it might take a little while to get your vehicle done, but it's probably worth the wait since I don't think he's actually trying to rip anybody off. Stop by and give Shawn a try, it will definitely be better than most of the other shops in the area.
