I would rate 0 or negative star if I really could Bro terrible f*cking customer service, zero drive, no respect or clear communication. I wait here for well over a quarter of an hour just to buy a measly car battery and have it installed. I waited over 20+ minutes in a line of 3-4 people that moved literally no where... they had one staff member present and when the others showed up the pace did not change if anything it slowed down and grinder to a hault.... I put my battery on the floor and sat on it while scrolling on my phone waiting my turn patiently, eventually a couple shows up behind me and is seen before everyone in the line!?!!? Like hello? Wtf is this special treatment shit??? Eventually the line clears up and the staff are just babbling , I stand up and pick up the battery and the cashier asks if I was ready to buy?? Like duhhh I've been sitting here waiting for my turn. She rings up the cheap shitty battery $160 and some change after tax, no biggie right? WRONG I told em I wanted it installed since installation is free either way the purchase of a battery.. well the cashier talked to her manager, canceled my transaction and walked into the sunset with a different customer altogether all without a single damn word... after standing there twirling my thumbs like a jackass, I finally decided to ask the manager "so like what's going here? Bc she just walked away without a word" the stud of a manager replied "I'm taking care of it right now" in a passive aggressive tone and demeanor and I said "oh okay, no worries". after her fumbling with her tablet for a another 5-10 minutes she tells me that she can MAYBE fit me in after these next FOUR cars that have appointments in the next 5 minutes.. so I asked what's the estimate of wait time? How long until she thinks I can get in there, and the stud of a manager went and told me "oh in aboutttt 4 hours" I told her "Mann fuck that, thank you anyways, ima go to o'reileys" Straight up wasted my time, energy and gas I used to drive over there smfh Hella attitude when she wasnt gonna be the one changing my battery anyways. A mechanic/tech could've walked out to my car, wouldn't even have to pull it into a bay... and it would be a 5 minute swap. And it was lmao I went and drove to Naugatuck o'reileys as I should've to begin with. I knew the reviews were bad here before coming to this Walmart, but I gave these people and this location the benefit of the doubt and all they did was prove the reviews to be completely right. Fire that woman or transfer her to a different department she clearly doesn't like her job and doesn't have the best interest in serving paying customers. Joe at o'reileys got me right and I happily paid a more for a better battery because they know their shit and they're quick UNLIKE THIS WALMART AUTO CENTER. Mechanics might be cool idk didn't get to talk to em, but the boriuca's at the front counter suck ass. And that's coming from a fellow Puerto Rican get yall shit together or gtfo please. I was nothing but calm, patient and respectful and all I got was vibes of quiet quitting, shitty customer service and someone that doesn't like their job and has shitty work ethic. The work ethic speaks for itself in most circumstances and the work ethic here is absolute trash, bottom of the barrel. Also stop code switching from English to strictly Spanish, I know what yall are saying when in reality yall think I don't understand Spanish. Do better and be better. Extremely disappointed and terrible customer service. I had an appointment at 6pm to get a tire replacement, received a call at 5:50pm after driving almost 45 minutes there, they were cancelling my appointment on me as i was pulling into the parking lot, saying they were 6 or 7 cars behind schedule. I explained this to them, and I was told there was nothing they could do, they wanted me to come back as a walk in the next day and potentially get my service done if i waited for them to have time. I called back, asking if i could schedule something and was told no since the appointment was cancelled BY THEM NOT ME. Now, nobody is answering the phone so i can receive a refund on the tires and installation, the guy i spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive and they basically told me to figure it out on my own, even though it was them who cancelled on me last second. Went to Waterbury Walmart today for car service took 2 hours for my car to go in. Customer service was very bad they didn't even care people complaining and they talk to each other not caring about the Customer, after my car was done I still had to wait 40 minutes because the employee that was supposed to take care of us. This was our first experience with the Waterbury, CT Wal-Mart Auto Center to get tires and we will NEVER be back. No line, no waiting, our car goes right in. We leave to kill time. Two and a half hours later NO CALL. So we call and get the explanation, "Oh, you must have given me the wrong number. I called twice. And by the way, the job has been declined. We can't get front tires off." Seriously?! We waited all this time, kept my child out of school and lost money because I had to take time off of work to be told they can't do the job!! ?? SO...We pleaded with manager to personally attempt to get them off. He seemed reasonable and helpful. With a couple of bangs of a mallet, they came right off. I call that LAZINESS on the part of the 3 technicians they claim attempted their removal. BS!!!! Finally, upon departure, thank God my husband noticed, they FAILED to put the valve caps on ALL 4 of the tires after they pulled the car out and said it was all set and ready to go. Wish no stars was an option. Finally got my tire fixed after days of them telling me they couldn't do any tire work because they had no staff available and to come back the next day. After waiting for 3 hours to even be seen, my tire was finally fixed. When i returned to get my car the window was smashed and the necklace in my car was stolen... that you could have only seen if you were in my car. Oh and the tire tech told me it would be $60 more dollars after already charging me inside.. and pocketed the money. Lesson learned stay away from this Walmart and all costs, no one even answered the phone for me or corporate when we tried to call. Shameful. read more
