I have to say that I am genuinely a positive person when it comes to business and person to person interactions. However every experience I have had at this Walmart has be rather unpleasant so I stop coming here and started driving an extra 20 minutes out to another location anytime I need to visit a Walmart. I do not mind extra effort for atmosphere and good customer service. My last experience went as follows: I decided to stop by this Walmart because my niece had just gotten her ears pierce and I wanted to get her, her very first pair of pearl earring. I am a believer in the idea that all girls should have pearl but when you're a baby and will likely lose them they do not need to be from Tiffany& company. Anyhow I went to the jewelry dept. and a family was getting their baby's ears pierced. There was no one else standing in the area so my sister and I approached the jewelry counter and patiently waited so that when the associate finished with the family she could help us. As we were standing there the associate looked right at us and said nothing which at first I thought was no big deal. By the time the associate finished 3 other people were standing around. The associate decided to finally speak and said she would help us but AFTER she serviced the other 3 people that arrived AFTER us. My sister and I proceed explain that we were there first but were basically told we were wrong. So we informed the manager about what happened and he was apathetic to the entire situation. Thus I resolved to not continue to give them my business. Now this may only be my impression of tis Walmart and I am sure others have had positive experiences here thus I can only speak to what happened to me and I have never been positive at this Walmart. read more

I'm writing this review in regards to the "eye and vison center" inside walmart. I just recently came into walmarts eye center to get new glasses. There prices were very affordable and I was able to get 2 nice pair of glasses. 1 pair of sunglasses wich have my prescribed lenses in them wich are cool and 1 pair regular everyday glasses. All for the price of what I was going to pay for just 1 pair at other stores so I felt obliged to go ahead and get the sunglasses at such an affordable price I couldn't pass them up. The staff was very fast and friendly and the whole process took very little time. read more

I often say... This trip to Walmart will be my last one. Well, last nights trip really will be my last one. I have historically spent thousands of dollars at Walmart yearly and that will stop as of last night. I purchased fifty dollars worth of items at the self-checkout while being monitored by the cashier there. No biggie. When I attempted to leave the store an Armed Security guard in a Point2Point Global Security uniform demanded my receipt. I politely declined and attempted to leave with my purchase to which he grabbed my basket and prevented me from leaving the store. I attempted to leave 2-3 times and each time he blocked my exit. Keep in mind Wal-Mart closes all available exits to the store except one so I didn't have an option to go through a different door. He did not provide any cause or suspicion for detaining me there in the threshold surrounded by other customers. No cashier or customer had reported that I had stolen anything and he certainly could not reasonably believe that I had stolen anything because... Shocker... I didn't steal anything. When I reminded him I was not legally required to show him my receipt he told me that I needed to be quiet and listen to him. (Insert shocked face here) He then informed me that they check all receipts (which they don't since I've declined receipt checks since they started the practice) he added that I was incredibly rude for not showing him the receipt and that I should not shop there if I would not comply. Well that's interesting since, as I've stated, I've declined before and usually get a, "okay have a nice day" in return. I also find it interesting that Wal-Mart is hiring armed guards to bully/shame their customers into complying with a store policy that the law says people have the right to refuse. It's also a little odd that Wal-Mart is paying money to a company to tell their customers not to shop there if they won't show a receipt. Crazy. I was not rude to the guard. I politely declined and attempted to leave with my purchase which in America I'm allowed to do. It was actually the guard that was out of line. Not only was he rude in providing a "lecture" about manners and compliance he was out of line to encroach into my personal space-armed- while blocking me from exiting with my purchase. Was his intent to intimidate me into compliance? I believe so and picked up my bag of items from the cart and attempted to leave. He responded that I was to take the cart with me. I declined the cart and told him to have a nice evening. I deposited my items into my car and returned to the store to speak to a manager. I reported the incident to a manager by the name of Nicholas who said he would take care of it but I didn't stick around to deal with an armed and completely out of line individual. I called this morning to speak to the store manager and ended up speaking to a woman named Belinda who identified herself as an assistant manager. She was nice and indicated she would contact his supervisor and take care of it immediately. I informed her that the store may want to rethink hiring a company to tell customers not to shop there. I also let her know that while I spend tons of money at Wal-Mart I would be taking his advice and never step foot in another Wal-Mart again. No way would I give another penny to a company that pays a man with a gun to intimidate paying customers into complying with something I have a right to politely decline. read more

I ordered some photos photo in store . When I went to go get my photo, I ask if I can look at it. The day before I when to the photo center to ask if I can take a look at my photo before I purchases it. The black lady said yes. So today I went and there were some photo that I did like because of the lighting , there were some lip stain on my teeth in the photo, some peoples eye were close, some of my picture were cut off. Emma who works at the photo center, told me that I couldn't take the photo put because I order it to be made. I was just like , "but a couple years ago you guys were okay with it", did you guys change the policy?? Emma said that they only allow the older camera where you developed the flim and drop it off".. I was just like okay. At that moment I wasn't gonna plan to buy my photo because Emma told me that. So she left me off the hook , because she knows that I won't buy the photo they print me if they charge me the ones that didn't come put good or I like. I apologize to the black lady and them because I didn't know. I felt so bad and uncomfortable when Emma told me that. But on their policy it says that we can return and get a refund back the picture is damage, the outcome isn't good, and etc. So idk why Emma would say that. Emili in the pharmacy is extremely rude! We were standing in line for a good couple of minutes behind the person she was helping. Her coworker came out and close the gate behind her. Why are there always people in departments they do not work in!?. I ask for help and they always say, "I don't work in this department but let me see if I can get someone". Aside from that. I called Walmart on 2/14/19 at around 12:05 pm to inquire if they had an item in stock. Apparently their trucks were delayed because of the storm. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes, when I decided to call from my cell phone. The same lady answered, she would not give me her name. I was informed, she does not stand around all day & has other questions to answer. She then stated she does not get back to people right away. I explained, 15 minutes is not considered right away. She then placed me on hold again. I called the Deli Dept & a nice associate by the name of Lorine transferred me to the manager on duty, Dereck. He apologized & said he would use this incident as a teaching tool. Worst Walmart in all of Fresno. It's messy, always super busy and overwhelmingly chaotic. There's never enough registers open. The employees all look comatose, and I don't blame them, having to deal with all that chaos on a daily basis. Eek! I always avoid going to this location and just go the Sanger location. But there are those times when I just have to go to Walmart for something quick and I can't drive all the way to Sanger so I must endure this location. This happened the other day and I saw they have construction going on and it's a huge mess in there, more than normal. The parking is a nightmare too. went for pet food - apparently all the smaller cat food bags are way up high and it says "ask for assistance" . Well after searching out and finally finding someone to find someone to help - then for that person to have to go get a ladder (this took approximately 10-12 minutes) I never saw the person that went to get the ladder and finally climbed up and got it myself - WALMART should be grateful I didn't get hurt and sue!!! ....Because I did ask for assistance. Definitely not worth the headache when you are shopping for a couple things - and the prices weren't all that. Then I get asked for a receipt 3 times in Spanish and I'm not Hispanic and finally realized she wants to see the receipt and told her in English that the receipt is in the bag. I'm a Walmart shopper. Never had the need to use the pharmacy department. I left my prescription on 8/22/17 pain killers. They told me it would be ready the following day. Called next day to see if it was ready. Nop, the insurance would cover it at the end of the month. I called again yesterday, they said should be ready today. Got off work and called again just to make sure it was ready and they say yes. It was ready for pick up. Yay I thought. I went in and obviously was in line for a good time. When it was my turn the Girl in the front informed me that it wasn't ready. GRRRRRRRR . So I asked how long and she said 20 mnts. Ok I can wait. Went back, to the same Girl and she says that insurance doesn't cover it. WHAT!!!!!! This is pain medication for my MOM who has CANCER!!!!!! She then says she's going to talk to the Pharmacist in charge and see. Then tells me to wait for another 10 mnts. To finally tell me that they don't have that kind of medication and have no idea when it's coming in. Thanks a million Walmart. I know I won't make a difference by not shopping there any more. But at least have some respect for the people who relay on medication to be ready when they say it's ready. I'm wondering who answers the phone calls? I did my homework before going to this store location. Online it stated, "Yes, the item you are looking for is in stock at this store location." Sweet let's go over there. I'm looking everywhere for their Logictech merchandise. All the store currently had on their shelves was sound systems and optical and corded mouses. I ask a clerk I found the Logictech equipment, but I could not find their gaming controllers. "Oh, you mean for Playstation and 360?" My immediate answer was no. I didn't want those, I wanted a Logictech controller. Their clerks response was: *folding her arms and cocking her chin up at me* "Oh, I am very sorry. Sometime what it says online is not what we carry in our stores." What kind of response is this? Why was I given a defensive body language and an attitude? Somebody needs to be re-educated on how to handle a paying customer. The clerk did not even bother to hop onto the service machine right next to her to confirm that the store should be carrying the item, or even bother to go over to the section the item should have been listed to even attempt to see if they just happen to be sold out. She just stood there staring at me with her arms crossed. As if expecting me to give her another excuse to give me attitude again. I'm sorry, but when you are going to be a rude and ignorant clerk and not do your job, then they need to fire that employee and get people that will actually work for their money and not stand there and be pretty. When an online store location list that your location carries the item in question you should check up on it. Also, "sometimes we don't actually carry it" is not an excuse. That is false advertising! This has not been the first time I have run into ignorant lazy employees at this store location. But throw in false advertising is HUGE issue for me.
