This used to be a nice Walmart but it's gone way downhill over the past 5 or 6 years. I avoid it if possible. When it first opened there were senior citizens from the mobile home park across the street that came in and walked around the big circle of walkways to get their steps. Now apparently so many low lifes have ruined it and it's an unwelcome feeling when you have to go through security to get in AND out. We've come here since it opened, but now we stay away unless we have to go here for certain items. A friend had her purse stolen from her cart IN the store. This place is a joke. I came in to spend a lot of money and Jacob in sporting goods is the first person I deal with. Online with immediate pick up in the store were 2 boat dock anchor lines for $9.18 on the shelf they are $10.89 I asked them to adjust the price at the register and they said that online they were sold out. This is stupid and very poor customer service. Erica the Managment person I spoke with agreed that it was stupid store policy but if I purchased them online I would be able to pick them up at that store for the lower price in 2 hours. Went here for an oil change. Should've left when I saw how busy it was. But I was due for one and i've had oil changes at Wal Mart no problem. Price have seem to gone up since. Well, to start off, I asked the Lube Dude how long it would take. He said an hour to an hour and a half. So I said whatever and handed him the keys. I hate Wal Mart. I don't care what anyone says. Wal Mart is trash mmkay? There's nothing more to it than that. If you like people watching, by all means, come by, sit on the bench when you walk in and you'll see all walks of life come in. Don't be surprised if you see Michael Jackson come in with a tutu. I digress... I spent my time playing the demo video games on display and reading the magazines. This took about an hour. I went back to check on my car, still nothing. As a matter of fact, my car was still parked! I asked the guy what's taking so long? He said that my car was next. I said ok, so I sat in the waiting room this time. I waited and waited. 30 minutes pass by, my car is finally being worked on. 30 minutes more, they finally finished up. Great, it took more than 2 hours to change a God damn oil on a car. This is probably why I have taken my business to Jiffy Lube. Should've known better. Here's the greatest part of it all. After paying something like almost 50 bucks for my oil change that took 2 hours...THEY LOST MY KEYS. I just got off work, i'm tired, hungry, just want to go home. The guy behind the counter was confused as all hell. All the keys should be hung up on those rings behind the counter once it's all done. Well where the hell are mine I asked? He gave me some dumb look and said hold on, and carried on with other customers. JFC! I waited and waited. He finally went out to the bay to see who worked on my car. Found out he just left for his "lunch". Hmmmm! Well that's fucking great! So I basically demanded that they call his ass from lunch and find out where my keys are after implying if they "wanted them to call him". Not exactly scholars these guys. So they call him and he tells them that he handed the keys to such and such. Supposedly he is the LUBE MANAGER. Well, the lube manager seem to skate off somewhere himself. I asked those guys wtf was going on here? Am I on some prank show or something? I was hoping John Quinones from "What Would You Do?" come out with a mic in his hand and cameras surrounding me asking me why I didn't blow up yet? Well that didn't happen. Joke was definitely on me. Finally, the Lube Manger came through with a fucking soda in his hand and a smug look on his face. He's this older Asian guy, if you go there, you'll know what i'm talking about. He's like the only older Asian guy that works in the Wal Mart lube service. Anyway, I asked him, where is my keys? He's like "What keys?" OMFG! I stood there silent hoping the dudes behind the desk would explain to him this whole mess. Nope. I told him my keys are missing and pointed to my car outside. He asked the guys behind the counter "It's not behind there?" The guys looked again as if they didn't look before and said "No, it's not". I'm at the boiling point. I felt like a demon was about to possess me something serious. I just rubbed my face slowly trying to gather myself as it was hot, the whole situation made me even more hot. I sat down, putting my hand over my face to hide my disgust. The customers clearly seen everything and they knew it wasn't right. These knuckleheads were walking around the area trying to find my damn keys. Moments pass, actually about 30\ minutes pass and finally that Asian guy found the keys on the counter in the bay. The guy handed me the keys and didn't even say sorry. I simply just walked away because I could not deal with another moment with those fucking idiots, especially that guy. They didn't even stop me either. No sorry, no free oil changes, no handshake, nothing. As a matter of fact, I will be forwarding this whole rant here to Corporation and will call them to let them know of this incompetence. This was absolutely bullshit. I was heated, I was at Walmart way longer than I needed to be and worst of all, they never apologized for the mix up, even if it was a simple human error. If you're looking for a pack of boxer shorts and Foghat's Greatest Hits, but you don't want to spend $7 on either of them, Wal-Mart is the answer. (Did you know Foghat was British? I didn't.) I've never lived this close to a Wal-Mart, so I figured I'd give it a shot. This is a BIG Wal-Mart. At least I think it is. Come to think of it, I don't have any real basis for comparison. But my parents like to go to Sam's Club, which is supposed to be Wal-Mart's "warehouse store," and the one they go to could fit inside this Wal-Mart with plenty of room left over for tube socks and garden supplies and well, pretty much everything. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with their prices. You can do better at traditional stores if you wait for sales and/or use coupons. I know they really pressure their suppliers to cut costs, but I didn't walk out of there with a ton of stuff like I do every time with Target. What? Me say something nice about a Walmart? Well, of all the Walmarts in this town, this is the lesser of all the evils. I say that because today, I was in and out in 5 minutes. Usually I take my business to Target, and I usually have to mentally psyche myself up for a trip to Wally. But I have been so frustrated by the River Park Target's lack of registers being open during the 5:00 rush hour that I'm sick of it, so Walmart, here I come! This Walmart is undergoing major renovation so whole sections of the store were just completely empty. Maybe that was part of the reason it wasn't too crowded today. My favorite thing about this store is that is has the best garden center of any of the other Walmarts around (don't even bother with the Shaw & Marty location's garden center). That's the main reason I go, to get cheap gardening supplies since Home Depot has gotten ridiculously expensive. Anyway, my tips are if you decide to shop here: 1) Park by the garden center so you don't have to wait for people walking every which way across the parking lot. 2) Do not, and I stress, DO NOT, shop anytime around the first of the month!!! Or during the first week of the month. Wait till the last day of the month. 3) If at all possible, do not use a shopping cart! Just grab what you need and run! 4) Never ever check out at the garden center! It gets 4 stars because there are always tons of checkouts open at the front. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because the nasty greasy McDonald's smell when you enter is just disgusting, along with the ever present bathroom smell. And for some reason, there is an inexplicable smell of sewage in the parking lot by the front entrance that never ever goes away. I don't know why. So there you have it, I CAN say something nice about Walmart after all. read more

The store itself is fine. My review is on the auto department. I've been waiting for 4 hours and counting for them to change my oil and rotate tires. Every time I ask it's just. "another half hour." my car was first in line when I got here. He said an hour or so tops because they were short handed. The guy in front of me waited an hour and a half and had to ask on the status to find out that they didn't even change his oil. I generally as a rule, hate to step foot in to Walmart. When I realize that I need to go here, a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach begins to form. The last time I went to this particular Walmart was months a go, when I used to live in this part of town. Well today after visiting my Mom I had to stop by, and since this was close by I stopped in. First I have to say that they have cleaned the place up a lot, nothing is where it used to be, its like they redesigned the entire store. Product for once seemed to be actually stocked on the shelves, and not on the floor, or a combination of the two. Of course it appears that these renovations have just taken place, because all of the food freezers are brand new, and haven't even been stocked yet. So we will have to see if the niceness sticks around, or if it wears off and Walmart goes back to being the cesspit it usually is. read more

I came to pick up a grocery order for DoorDash and parked out back as directed, let them know in the app I was here. After several minutes of no one coming out I called the customer service number on Walmart's pickup sign. It went straight to voicemail. We went to this walmart today and there was a clearance tag on the the item for $3. When the cashier scanned the price it came out to be $7. I then questioned the difference in price ( since the tag was obviously not transferred). The cashier went to ask about the price. When she came back she was ripping the price tag off of the item and saying the price was $7. This item was miss labeled and according to California law if the item is labeled at a certain price, they are supposed to honor the price it is labeled at. read more

This is the second walmart in the Fresno/Clovis area that I like to visit. It's always a hit and miss with busy times. Today sort of sucked because we waited in a slow cashier lane. Luckily they opened more lanes so it eased the wait time. The store is usually clean. They have the garden center, an optical center, pharmacy, and a hot food area. I always like to check out there clearance items and seasonal sections. As with any walmart you have your diverse crowd and sights. Lol. read more

The cashiers for the most part are rude and slow.It is usually dirty. There are multiple self service areas but the systems is so slow that the wait time is ridiculously long .I've had far too many bad experiences here (like today)that I can't justify shopping here any longer. The best thing about this Walmart was the Pickup for grocery. The food they bring out was high quality and the employees seem happy to serve you. Do not go in the store. You are accosted by every vendor in existence before you walk in. There are no carts ever and when you manage to find one, it'll be dirty. Prepare to be treated like a criminal no matter what exit/entrance you utilize. The smell of the McDonald's in-store is nauseating when mixed in with the other smells in the store. The staff seem to know nothing about anything in the store. The fabric cutter didn't know how long a yard was. Other clerks use their smartphones to go to the Walmart.com website to try to find things in store and it still isn't there. Which is also the point at which they walk off and abandon you. Ol' Roy dog food was recalled for causing euthanasia but the recalled product was still on the shelf, fully stocked. The beauty section is never stocked, especially the NARS section. The garden section had dead plants and opened packages still being sold at full price. The toy section looked like Toys r'us after a Christmas shopping spree, messy and empty. Grocery in store section has rotten produce. The bathrooms were clean though. read more

I hate Walmart. I hadn't been to one in years but I needed a car battery and some other stuff so my wife and I went so we could get everything in one stop. I was really surprised. Last time I came here it was a freaking disaster with crap everywhere and the store just looked messy and mismanaged. But it has been redesigned since the last time we were here. It's much nicer looking inside and out and way more clean and orderly than I remember it. This is a big Walmart. They have an auto center, grocery store, nursery, the whole nine yards. We had to ask where a few things were and the staff were really friendly and we found just about everything we were looking for. Plenty of checkout lines were open and we got in and out in no time.
