Anyway, we talked to a person at the prairie booth at the Earth Day festival about native plants, and the website pointed us to Sugar Creek! We were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of options here. We were able to find all sorts of native plants to introduce into our yard. We really found it easy to navigate since they were sectioned into native and sun needs. It made it very easy once we figured it out. We were only able to afford about 6 plants the first time we came here and 4 the next time. They are a bit pricey, just fair warning. However, the selection is great and it's supporting a business that isn't a huge corporation, so it's worth a visit!

We were looking at a tree we really liked, and an employee immediately came over and gave us some great tips about that particular plant. He gave some other useful recommendations as well. We ended up getting a variety of annuals for some of our flower pots and two big bags of soil.
