The family owned business ( a husband and wife) go above and beyond any other pharmacy I'm accustomed to by: 1) Being super-proactive working with your Doctors, resolving issues and trying to improve your life 2) They are incredibly knowledgeable about the business and pricing side of Pharma. Mark Cubans new venture, Medicare, various discount cards, how providers ( doctors) interact with the business side of prescriptions, and so on. I'm always just blown away by their medical expertise and care and genuine concern for your OVERALL health ( and I'm not always the easiest person to deal with LOL) 3) They actually get to know you as a Human Being with your conditions, and have fantastic memories of your history and meds. They are consistent ( you usually deal with the owner/ pharmacist couple0, so they get to know you well. I have no vested interest in posting this, except this Pharmacy breaks the mold on traditional chain pharmacies I've ever used. No joke. Its like you have your own Medical Concierge level of care. Whatever they are doing, its DIFFERENT than the traditional US pharmacy. They are from Korea, maybe its a cultural thing, but this Happy Pharmacy, does things so differently, 5 stars would not do it justice. This is the worst, most incompetent, belabored and arcanely functioning pharmacy I have ever…read moreencountered. As one who works in drug research, has a B.S. in biochemistry, an MPH and knows full well FDA protocols and regulatory standards, I can tell you the head pharmacist, Dennis, operates his business like it's the 1950s. The only reason I came to this pharmacy in the first place was because the particular molecule I needed compounded was out of stock throughout the greater DFW metroplex - another very telling indication of just how inadequate their business model is. If you're the only pharmacy out of, say 25, that has a drug, I'd gather things aren't going so swimmingly. In addition to the aforementioned shortcomings, this pharmacy - unlike any other I've known - doesn't offer a courier nor a shipping service. So, if you live in Downtown Dallas, you'll need to drive 30mi to and from the pharmacy to fulfill your order each time. Equally as fun - because of the head pharmacist's rules and relevant paranoia - if you have a month's supply, you'll be expected to come in TWICE within that month to pick up your script. Super convenient, right?! Oh, and another one of my favorite aspects was the rigidity in which this pharmacist felt it necessary to adhere to arbitrary, make-believe chemical standards. I'm not going to bore you with the minutia but suffice to say, if you know anything about chemistry (acidulants, antimicrobial properties, stability, salts, etc) this guy is doing way too much for too simple a process. "You know you don't HAVE to use saline sol'n, right? You can just use water - the molecule has HCl already in it". He says "Well, per FDA regulations we have to comply to a set of stability standards". I followed with, "oh so then I guess every OTHER pharmacy in the metroplex is just doing it 'wrong'? Are they all going to get 'busted'?! Did you discover some novel chem properties that the rest of the world doesn't know about?". Golly, maybe he'll avoid fines and criminal drug charges AND win the Nobel Prize too. The final kicker though is when Dennis tells me further, they can no longer fill my script because it's in a particular drug class as another medicine I take. Which again is false and an entirely ridiculous statement. Drug classes: opioids, benzodiazepines, dissociatives, amphetamines, anticonvulsants, PPIs, SSRIs, etc. They are all different and - unless you got your PharmD degree in 1985 - not equal and very often non-competitive. Especially when considering dosage and frequency at which these particular meds are filled. But I don't take Dennis for a big picture kind of guy anyhow. The moral of the story, unless it's the last pharmacy on earth, please PLEASE do yourself a favor by avoiding this dinosaur and support one of the many other great, reasonably priced, convenient, practical, and current pharmacies being operated in TX. And even if they're in Tyler and you're in Ft. Worth, they can probably ship your meds right to your front door.

It was a little out of the way, but we love having the Quorn Roast for the holidays. The store was clean and easy to navigate. I said never mind and found another employees who could be helpful. When I went back to self check out she got behind me and I felt watched. We instinctively know when we're being watched. So I got all my things and went to the line. This clerk was also talking a bit loud. I told him I may not have brought enough. He immediately started telling me what the bill total. I tried interrupting because he was going tell everyone in the front my situation. I said the dogs may have to wait for their treat. I asked him to ring it up last. He was talking while I was explaining so he may not have heard me. Unfortunately the bill did go over and I needed to take something off. While looking I noticed the dogs treats were rung up. I repeated what I said earlier. He corrected me by telling me I didn't say that. I'm irritated at this point so I correct him. We both left it alone. I found him to be a courteous and professional. It just wasn't okay to tell me I didn't say something. You're basically calling me a liar. He could be a little more aware of how his voice carries when dealing with sensitive situations.

My issue is on two separate occasions I've witnessed store employees racially profiling African Americans in self check out. All registers were being used and yet the self check out attendant focused all her attention on the only person of color. This bothered me because the young lady had approximately 6 items, no purse and her child with her. This particular young lady asked for a manager after the attendant completed viewing her items against what was scanned the managers response was also profiling at its best. He said "She's just doing her job!" Well apparently not well because all items were accounted for so now what? A few days later I witnessed the same manager tell another African American Customer that there's always a problem whenever she comes in his store. This absolutely floored me! All the young lady did is state that she'd asked several employees for assistance and no one could assist her in finding an item that the app showed was in stock. Seems as if this particular manager needs sensitivity training and definitely a lesson in customer service clearly he was promoted for years of service and not because he does his job well. i never expect much from big box retail but all should be treated well regardless of race.
