Bro what's up with Walmart? This is the second time I've been profiled for shoplifting. The first time was with stupid Jim Jones. I was putting chips and a drink into my backpack IN FRONT OF THE CASHIER mind you that after clearly purchasing my items, I just stepped aside so the cashier can ring other customers duh. He asked for the receipt which I did not have because my bf paid and he was in the bathroom when this all happened. At first he did not find the receipt because he was riled up, I'll say that, but eventually pulled it out and showed Jim Jones the receipt. All we wanted was a simple apology from him but he did not want to swallow his pride. That was couple months back. Cool. It happened again. We were in the area (watching the bobs burger movie lol) and I decided to go to Walmart to see if they received any Monster High dolls‍ I figured since there was 15 mins till the store closed a quick trip just to see if they had it. No luck so I go around the floor to see if there's any young employees cause I doubt anyone else would know what I'm talking about and still no luck so I go to the first floor and eventually got information to talk to the lady in the toy department but I said no was there. She then said to call ahead of time or come back another day because they were closing in 5 mins which I understood, it was a quick trip anyways. But alas, as I'm walking out the store the ladies in the front are looking at my pockets to see if I stole something. The only thing I had in there were my AirPods, phone, and a Korean lip gloss. I do believe one of them said something about it in their language but the other lady said to ignore it. I thought I was tripping but one of the ladies kept looking at me until I was In the parking lot! It genuinely upsets me that this has happened no where else except this Walmart to the point where I have to go all the way to Martinez just so I can shop with a piece of mind! I went to return an item because it was the wrong item. Never opened it and it was just the day prior when purchased. Upon arriving to one Walmart to return (closest to me, Martinez California store #03454), and the manager came to do so. But then she broke the seal on item(Kenwood dmx115 bt stereo deck receiver) to check contents, and ended up being a whole different brand stereo with a broken screen mind you. Only then was the return refused to which I was told you have to take it to where it was purchased. 45 miles out my way. To only get refused again. But calling corporate got me a ticket # that's to clear up the return since we purchased the sealed item one day prior. Why did she open it to look at if you weren't returning? And yet I'm glad she did because if your shopping at Walmart make sure you check boxes for used broken or wrong items. Now I have to call an attorney. read more

There were no carts when we were looking for one. I looked outside and near the entrance---none. So my mom told an employee and the manager and him went out to look for some carts. I got a cart from the ones they brought back, then my mom and I were looking at the watermelons near the entrance, and the next thing I know a guy sweeps by and grabs the cart. It's implied that it's our cart, as it's within 2 feet away from us. But I guess it wasn't implied for that person. So I tried to find another cart... This happened today around 5pm. I like Walmart. Walmart in general deserves a 4 star rating, but this experience was a 2 star one.....which is why it gets a 3 for me. I'm probably being a little too nice. read more

First time here and we had a very pleasant experience. We ordered online and picked up at the store. It is a large store but there was no shortage of helpful employees to ask where we needed to go. At pick-up, the employee was very helpful. When we left the store, the security guard told us he remembered us and the security guard outside engaged us as we left. We'll be going back, not only because of the friendly and helpful staff but also the fantastic prices. read more

If you can go to the Walmart in American Canyon, the PLEASE go! I went early morning in 2020 to purchase a frozen lasagna and one other item. Got home and didn't realize I'd been charged double for the lasagna. I went back twice that week and was told their "return system" was down. I wasn't able to go back again that same week, so I went back the following week. One of their managers accused me of lying! Told me she needed to review the tape to determine if I could get my money back for being over charged. I told her about the "return system" being down the previous times I'd been there. This is a review for the pick up service. Wow, I am SO impressed with walmart's pick up service. I have ordered through pick-up twice and it was so great. The first time I ordered lashes and some other items that I knew were locked up and I didn't wanna go through the hassle of waiting for someone to open the glass for the multiple locked items. I parked, called the number, and someone was out within 5 minutes. The second time I ordered some items but unfortunately two of the five items were out of stock so they substituted it. When I got there, I was able to decline the substituted items and get my refund right then and there. I would also like to add that walmart now has the option to opt for bags or not. This is an option that I wish Target, Walgreens and many other stores would have as I am always charged for bags I didn't receive and have to go through the trouble of calling customer service. Overall, I really recommend shopping through the walmart app or online for pick up. It is so much smoother and efficient. read more

So I called 3 times the main number provided by Google maps and first I let ring for 3.34 minutes and so I tried a different department hoping I can be transferred to customer service also rang 15 times no answer! What can I say, it's Walmart in Richmond. The big heavyset guy with a beard standing at the refund line is probably the worst Walmart employee and that's saying a lot. I don't have high expectations in terms of customer service at Walmart. If they're able to check me out that's all I ask. This guy is blocking the refund line and doesn't say anything. The meat section, etc. always look bad. I was wrung up by Charanjit at checkout. Everything was fine until I asked if I could please get a gift receipt for two of my items and she said we dont give gift receipts. I asked another worker and she said they do, when I told her that she got mad and rolled her eyes at me. Then she was trying to charge me separately for everything and U told her no I want to pay it all together and she laughed in my face and started shaking her head. Ryan the manager refused to take my return for a defective appliance that they sold me because he said they stop returns at 8pm even though they open till 11pm. He said it was clearly stated on the website, which was a lie. I looked up the website hours and showed him this wasn't listed and he said sorry the website is outdated and still wouldn't process my return even though I dragged a heavy defective appliance all the way back to the store. ZERO STARS- this place is a migraine in physical form!!! I cannot even express how frustrating I was with the return service here, but let me try!! I bought some items using both a Walmart gift card ($100) and my credit card ($100) and came to this location to return one thing. When I didn't see the money in my account after a few days, I looked at the receipt and realized that they returned the money to the gift card which had been thrown away by the cashier upon purchase- a common practice I was told. I thought it would be an easy conversation since I had the return receipt as proof, but the manager at this store berated me in front of a line of people and accused me of lying about my situation. She then told me if my return of $40 was so important to me, I could make a written request to view security footage proving that my gift card had been discarded. Ain't nobody got time or patience for that!! This beyond annoying situation came after multiple long phone calls to this Walmart telling me I had to come in to resolve the return confusion, despite me saying it was a very long drive. Items are always out of stock for months, complaining to Supervisor is waste of time, each time was told Supervisor assigned to the dept. is not on duty & message would be given. Well it's been a month & same shelves still empty. The staffs here were friendly and super helpful. But its getting more and more difficult to shop at this Walmart. This is a two story building and we need to use either the elevator or the escalator. First floor is grocery and second floor is home goods. Unfortunately, the two just alternates in breaking down. Some days the escalator is out of service, some days its the elevator. Every time I come here, one of the two is out of service. read more

Walmart, the largest retailer in the world, it figures! I purchased two lounges in February this year, on Walmart's website (online). At no time did I know Walmart had 'marketplace" products online as well, never heard of "marketplace"??? I purchased both online with Walmart, and stored both until early June after the late May rains. I set on up to RELAX on, get some sun, and as I was face down, the leg towards my head collapsed pinning my knuckles under the frame on the cement. This was about June 3, whereby I called Walmart and wanted a full refund and wanted these UNSAFE-defective design, lounges picked up. The first Walmart associate said he would send Fed X labels, issue a credit, waited all week, called again on weekend of the 10th, same results, called on the 17th same results, then I asked for a supervisor, whereby the supervisor stated it was a "marketplace product and I needed to respond for refund within 90 days. I didn't need these in the rain! She sent me info for corporate, who stated I should contact the CC's company and terminate payment. I did and Walmart refuted it. These lounges were suppose to be relaxing)). So now I have defective lounges (2) to discard, and have paid for. COSTCO, Home Depot, Amazon would have issued an immediate credit and made arrangements to be rid of them. The engineering on these lounges is defective-UNSAFE, I told Walmart this, and they have the $$$$$ and move on, screwing valued customers. Never Again! Tell your friends and associates of Walmart's tricks, Marketplace, a scam to sell inferior, poorly designed unsafe products, not caring about their customers. Worst. Walmart. Ever. I ordered a video game on the Walmart website (Battlefield 4 for X-Box 360) with in-store pickup at this location. I received an e-mail confirmation in the morning saying that my order was ready to be picked up. So I head over to the store at around 7 am which is around the time they open. I head over to the in-store pickup station and tell them I'm here to pick up my game. The worker says, "We're not open till 9am." I told them that I received an e-mail confirmation telling me the game is ready to be picked up and there was no indication that the in-store pickup station was open on certain hours. After about 5-10 minutes of convincing them to let me have my game, they finally give in and let me take it home. So I feel pretty happy and relieved but... I get home, I open the game case, and I find... NO GAME. JUST BLANK CD-Rs!!!!!! I paid money, argued, and they RIP ME OFF! I still have my "game" but was just so mad that I haven't gone back to return it yet. This location is GHETTO. They have BAD SERVICE. Walmart.com is making promises this Walmart store at Hilltop Mall can't keep. My refrigerator has a filtered water dispenser, which is great, but the filter needs to be changed periodically. Being somewhat of a specialty item, I felt graced by fortune when I found the filter I needed on Walmart.com for $15 less than anywhere else. On Walmart.com you can check if any particular store has an item in stock, purchase the item, pay by Paypal & have that item ready for pickup at the store of your choosing. I did all that & chose to pickup my filter at the Hilltop Mall Walmart. Wrong choice. After getting a text message informing me that my filter was ready to be picked up, I drove over to Hilltop Mall Walmart & went to the Service Counter for online orders. Not a single Walmart employee was there, just a 1/2 dozen other customers already waiting. I activated the touchscreen that is supposed to summon somebody. Nobody came. I called the Walmart from inside the Walmart & told the employee who answered that there was a bunch of people at the Service Counter, including myself, waiting to be helped. Nobody came. It was just over 20 minutes before anybody even showed up. From the moment I 1st got to the Service Counter, it took a grand total 45 minutes for them to hand over the filter I had already paid for. Pathetic. Walmart.com makes shopping for stuff at Walmart fast, convenient & easy. Getting that stuff from the Walmart store at Hilltop Mall is a total catastrophe. Decided to come here instead of Alameda just to see a different and thought better store. Got near the area and already almost got into an accident due to the parking lot lines not clearly painted. Got finally parked and got inside, but things didn't improve. The store is so poor that they couldn't even get a McDonald inside. So had to find stuff off their shelves to eat. Came up to some kind of giveaway and almost got tramped by people fighting for the free the stuff. Two parking lots are available to enter the first floor (groceries) or the 2nd floor (home and yard supplies). Plentiful of parking which is convenient. Huge store and probably not the best layout as things weren't easy to find. Lines are ridiculously long because there aren't enough check-out cashiers. Items here are very reasonable and affordable. They have great brand name things too! I would come here for small home things that you want for the low price. Not much to say, I mean it's Walmart. read more

For the most part the store was organized and clean. I was looking for a travel adaptor and the guy in electronics searched high and low across several departments to get me what I was looking for. They have a limited supply of shampoo ... I wanted L'Oreal kid's shampoo but they only carry the Suave kid's shampoo and an entire aisle of Head & Shoulders. Facewash however, is cheap and plentiful here. At check out, my $20.00 travel adaptor ran up as $25.00 ... when I mentioned it to the cashier, she got frazzled b/c of her long queue of 8 customers in line ... she asked if I had a camera phone ... and to go take a picture of the tag and have customer service adjust the price.
