You are greeted by two policeman sitting at the entrance door, then you discover the aisles choked with pallets loaded with stock and you hear employees grumbling about how bad it is to work here. This Walmart on Washington Blvd is always dirty and packed full of people. It was super bowl Sunday so the shelves were almost empty. When it was time to get checked out they only had maybe 6 lines open. I went to one and that cashier was going on break and then I went to another one. Of course this cashier was also going on break. So 45 minutes in line then I get the door and I get "randomly selected" to have my two bags checked. This Walmart is always crazy. You have been warned lol. read more

The stock is good but you can buy 100 items or just one, these referrers are always super crowded and if you think late at night I should be ok, think again. Don't go to this Walmart . Staff is horrible. 20+ registers but only 6 of them were open . Lines are like an amusement park. Every employee either avoids customer service or mean mugs you if you need help . Waited 10 minutes to be rung up in electronics while an employee sat on their phone and gave me an attitude , then the sales clerk finally comes to the register and I was told to go to the back of the line that formed behind me so that she could ring up someone else. If you ever want to feel uncomfortable while you shop then this is the Walmart to go to . Not only that but just about every isle had a product left on the floor and employees walk right past it and ignore it. Seems like the employees are just there to get their hours in and that's it . If you need help with something then they give you an attitude. Won't be return to this store for as long as I can . I'll take the extra 10 minutes to go to a target instead at this point. Waited in line just now for over an hour and am the next person to unload a full cart and the cashier turns off her lane light and states that she is closed and that I needed to get into another line. There was 3 other customers behind me that were waiting just as long. My family will never shop here again. This review will be about the Deli Station only. I had a retirement party to plan. Wanted something different since it would be in-house retirement party. Looking at Walmart's catering menu, the prefect meal came to mind. Wait for it...6 foot sub with the trimmings. It was easy to place the order over the phone. The staff as helpful and made some suggestions. The pick-up was easy and the order was ready on time. When we did the set-up for the party. We all were blown away at 6 1-foot stuffed subs. Each sub was packed with premium meats (ham, turkey,salami) and cheese. The tray of lettuce, red onion, and tomato was complementary along with mayo and mustard packets. Everyone was truly impressed with the freshness and quality. We all agree that we would use Walmart Deli's catering again. read more

I'm standing in line, it's 1030 pm and there's 7 people in front of me. Three of them are in employees. One of the got in front of me because the other employee told her to get in front of me. Eh, it's a walmart. Sometimes the staff is friendly, most of the time...not so much. And it can get pretty crowded and they never have enough check out lines open for some reason as though they are perpetually understaffed. The best times to shop here is early in the morning when it's dead. This location is no longer 24/7 due to having become hustler central. It has busstops in front of it and there are plenty of food options in this shopping center. There is also a liqour store and wig shop. FTW! read more

Rather large Wal Mart but it had everything well organized and made sense location wise. I ran into an employee the other day at the Super Walmart in Lansdowne/Halethorpe around 8:12 PM, right after I walked though the middle entrance that is closed at 8 PM. I was baffled that the outside lights were not on, the door unresponsive and I had to manually open and close (both sets) but were not locked. This employee was pushing a basket of return-to-department items as I asked why the doors were closed. They explained that since the store didn't have enough staff to watch that entrance it is closed at 8 PM. I asked why there was no signage explaining such outside to better inform customers of this fact. After turning away someone hoping to exit that egress, they hit me with their excuse: "Nobody wants to work anymore." Bullshit! I patiently clarified their statement that there are plenty of people who want to work, but that nobody wants to work at Walmart (specifically this location it seems.) I wasn't there to shop this time, since check out is usually a nightmare of long lines, surly employees, and worse behaved customers. That day I desperately needed to abuse the Men's restroom because of indigestion. What greeted me there was a horror show of epic proportions. The baby changing table held the remains of paper towel rolls (that looked like they had been re-rolled up without the center tube.) A dilapidated urinal that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a decade. Doors of the stalls without locks and barely hung on stressed hinges. The regular one over-stuffed with toilet paper that refused to flush down, and the toilet paper roller holder in the handicapped (since there were only the two stalls in this spacious restroom) that pulled away from the wall at the top so far that I thought a fart would knock it off the wall that it clung for its life by the bottom fastener (lest it be further defiled by the floor that would make a typical movie theater floor look sterile.) I tried to ignore the graffiti covering the vertical surfaces... Now, perhaps the local thugs in the area had demolished this once usable restroom to this point, but the employees must surely bear part of the blame by not caring to keep it in useful condition. It would seem that the rot in this store must permeate the entire staff and all of the management to infect these premises to this level of indifference. It begs the question of whether this location has become the dumping ground for ne'er-do-well employees sent to this purgatory on their way to an unemployment line (or their next dead-end job.) I can only hope that Walmart Corporate will visit this location soon to clean house and set things right, because otherwise this will likely be yet another business with closed doors in the near future... read more

This walmart has the filthest women's bathroom. Tp all over the floor have the faucets doesn't work the hand dryers doesn't work and no paper towels. The stalls are down right dirty to. Then on top of that, the cashiers are the most ignorant people working the registers. They need to hire more cashiers that are friendly. What ever happen to the golden rule smile and cheerful? I was in there twice in a week just recently and the two registers i went to, well, the one cashier i couldn't even tell you what her voice sounded like. She never even smiled or held her head up. So, I go to this Walmart next to the gym that I visited tonight. I do my shopping then I stand in line, you know the lines can be long. So, I'm waiting for 15 min and this lady comes from behind the counter and says "yawl need to find another line cause I'm going home" I'm like wtf!!! So, me and the 20 people behind are bewildered. I go up to the front and speak to her and she is not having it!! She literally said, "I said what I said". So, I go speak to a manager and he not really any help at first. He told me I don't understand, and I mentioned that I managed employees and guest/customers as well, so I totally get it. He mentioned something about its different then managing a Nordstroms. I don't know where he got that from but anywho. He said he would get back to me and I noticed she back at the register checking folks out again. So, I get back in line cause the folks behind me were kind enough to save my spot. when I'm next she says "so you going to go snitch on me and I'm a supervisor you see where that got you nowhere" mind you she is CHECKING ME OUT!! "With this stuff you are buying you could have got this tomorrow, but you see snitching didn't get you no place", STILL CHECKING ME OUT mind you!! She mentioned she had some sons my size and height (don't know why that had to do with anything) " You real funny snitching on a supervisor acting all bougie like you doing something" At this time I'm handing her my form of payment. "You'll know next time" she said as she's handing me my receipt. I'm like WHILE YOU WERE DOING ALL THAT TALKING YOU WERE CHECKING ME OUT!! YOU DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE!! Say what you want but at the end of the day you did the job you were supposed to do. Did snitching/alerting a manager help...SURE DID! I love a good super walmart. It has everything, and is very conveniently located. Great selection in the supermarket too. The only place I have seen that you can buy a gallon of soy milk! I would give it five stars, but sometimes the lines move a little too slow. I think walmart goes out of their way to hire people who can't be hired elsewhere. A week ago when I went, there was a lady who probably was coming out of retirement looking for a job, but just couldn't figure out how to take a gift card from the lady in front of me. The place is ok, but I did prefer when it was 24 hours. Now if you go late at night, you have the late night rush of rude and restless people to go along with it... and of course not enough registers are open to accommodate the lines quickly. Before, I didn't mind the aisles having stock in the way at 3 in the morning. But now that all happens much earlier. (Added to the crowd.) I recently called out one of the customers who thought she was going to sneak in front of six other people ahead of her. Are usually avoid the store due to the long lines. However there was a good sale on iPhones. It seemed as if no one in the tech department could help us. Then we spoke with a man named Michael. He was so very helpful and knew answers to all of our questions. He knew more than the people that were supposed to help us. Several people walked up to him and ask him questions and never gave me a please or a thank you. He respectfully answered questions and went on about his job. I have shopped at this Walmart (4) times only because it was nearby and I am familiar with Walmart in the Tampa Bay area. This store is not managed well. The most glaring problem is the checkout lines. Each time I was in the store about 6-8 lanes were open and they had 8-10 carts in line. Check out very very slow. The cashiers seem to be just not interested in their job or customer service. I had one item to purchase so I asked an employee where the "self checkout" lanes were and she said "we don't have none" I left the store after that. read more
