If I do have to go to Walmart...this is the location I choose (although I live considerably closer to the Route 59 location). Here's why: 1. They have a great grocery section here (compared to Rt 59). I love to purchase the individually packaged tilapia and salmon. Also the produce section has the individually wrapped, microwaveable sweet pototaoes which I am a huge fan of. And all in all I usually find all the groceries I need at very reasonable prices. The grocery section here is also much bigger than on Rt 59. 2. They have way better clothes than any other Walmart I've been too. Especially the young women's clothing section. I buy many a shirts here that no one would ever guess came from Walmart! 3. The store is fairly clean. 4. The biker looking greeter guy at the door - he's great and always gives my daughter a sticker! He makes my day every time I see him. Now here are some reasons why you may want to stay away: 1. It will take you FOREVER to check out. The checkout lines are always super long and although it seems like they have tons of staff - they are def not checking out. Also, a majority of the cashiers are super ghetto and rude - I can't stand rude people. So make sure to go when you have lots of time and patience. 2. The parking lot is terrible. Never a good spot. Carts everywhere. Pedestrians not paying attention. Every time I'm in this parking lot I feel like I'm going to get into a car accident, ugh! To avoid the craziness I end up just parking far away or over by the pharmacy drive thur (crap I just gave away my secret lol). 3. There seems to be an issue with the lighting system. The lights constantly dim and then get brighter. It's really annoying at first, but after a few times of visiting you get used to it I guess. All in all - this is an OK location - but hand's down better than the chaotic, crowded, crazy, hot mess of a Walmart on Rt 59. read more

I ordered some ink online to pick up at the store today. I got to the pick up area, entered my information and stood there. A greeter at the front door paged somebody to help me, three times! No one showed up. I walked over and found a store manager, explaining the situation. She said she was going to go check on things, and come back to help me. In the meantime four other people showed up trying to pick up their ordered items. All in all, I waited over 50 minutes. And when my order finally got there, I found out they substituted the products they ordered for smaller products. I walked back to the department, picked up the larger items, went to the front To pay for them. I went back to the online pick up area, and ask them to cancel my order. She told me I had to call Walmart.com. I called there, and the lady was very pleasant, but she could not help me because the store pick up area was closed. She told me I'd have to call back tomorrow. I will never, ever, order anything that is being shipped to this Walmart. I honestly wish that I could give this Wal-Mart location a negative rating. A one star rating is not nearly bad enough to represent this place. It is almost impossible to distinguish between this Wal-Mart and an outdoor Flea Market. They have almost completely abandoned any plan-o-gram layouts, and have resorted to just throwing things on the shelf. Absolutely the worst. Never more than 2 lanes open to be checked out. After waiting in line for 35 minutes the cashier didn't know how to ring for a propane exchange. I left my groceries and walked out. Why make the people behind me wait even longer. Never go to this Walmart! Husband just gave them one more chance and called for information on tires. He was left on hold for 20 minutes. He called back and was told by a manager that no one could come to the phone. Taking a message and calling him back was apparently a worse option than leaving him on hold. When my husband asked for a district manager's name the manager absolutely refused to give it. This is horrible service, they are always with different prices that what is on the shelves I learned to always check my receipts before leaving and always they charge twice for an item or the prices are different than what it says, I went today, charged a different price and charged me twice for an item, image just charging extra. 088 cents in 100000 that will be $88.000 that they are making extra, yes .088 cents matter and what if they charge a more valuable item twice? Thanks to the Almighty we are moving, we will not come to this place again, I also asked if they could sell me some of the bags that they use to carry fish because we have fish and we want to move them on those bags, the manager from cosmetics was very rude and said impossible to sell you those bags, they are our silly, as if I am going to get all of them, bitter woman, other stores won't mind, they don't even take good care of their fish they are always sick and in really bad shape, we got some from there and they died and saw fish on the floor, the people that they have there don't even know anything about fish not even how to get them safely, the animal control should come and check it out, at least give some training to whoever is going to be in charge in that department please always check your receipts before leaving Wal-Mart, their employees are careless. read more

This is by far the worst Wal-Mart I've been to. On several occasions I've checked Walmart.com for an item I want and it says it's in stock at this Aurora Walmart on Kird Rd. Awesome right?? Try again...I check on my own to find said product. It's no where to be found...I flag down an employee to help me...he can't find it. I wait in line at the customer service desk for 20 mins...No one can find it. So I go home annoyed, go to Walmart.com and order it with free in store pickup. Had one too many horrible experiences here and felt the need to leave a review. Like other reviewers have said, this Walmart used to be shiny and new and was everything I needed in a store. Now, the boxes on the shelves are beat up and dirty, the toy section is filled with shredded foam swords and broken packages, and there is food on clearance that I've seen every time I have gone there for the better part of a year. The lines are long and move slowly and there are never more than half of of all the registers open. Now usually I ignore the conditions of the store and just buy what I need to buy and get out as fast as possible, but this time I left without even finishing shopping. I picked up a package of yogurt in the yogurt aisle. The package was sticky and gooey and gross. I decided to go wash my hands in the bathroom. Upon arriving in the bathroom, I encountered a horrible smell. Someone had thrown up In the sink. I attempted to use a soap dispenser and found that all but one were broken. I went to wash my hands in the sink, but they were all broken except for, you guessed it, the barf sink. I was so sickened I had to hold back from throwing up all the way out the store and the whole way home. I have washed my hands thoroughly since I got home, but I still feel dirty from shopping there. TL;DR: AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. A note to the management who hopefully reads these: Please get your act together. I am going to shop elsewhere from on. I shop here often because it is close to my house. Items are often out of stock for months or never come back. Don't go on a Sunday. The lines can be 9-10 people deep. The self serve lanes are often broken or needing staff help. Today I waited 27 minutes in a self-serve lane only to find as I was the second person away from the cash register that it had a tiny paper over the screen of the card reader with "cash only" penciled on it. No sign at the end of the line. The staff member standing at the end of check-out, supposed to be helping people, didn't say a word. When asked, he just said, "Talk to a manager. " When I asked to talk to the manager, he walked away never to return. I stood patiently in another line again for another 22 minutes. After checking out, I found a manager and told him. He said he would find me a line and that he asked the staff to put a sign up. By then I was done. I am done with Walmart. I will drive 20 minutes away to a better grocery store. The best part of that Walmart was the gentleman with the big booming welcome and smile and now he can't greet people like he used to. read more

this walmart is just like every other one out there, however I had a terrible experience today. I know walmart isn't the right place to buy a fish but it was a last second idea and I figured why not. I ask a girl for help in the fish section and she said okay, but instantly we were interrupted by a guy and said,"what are you doing?" she said she was helping me and he said, "no no I'll get this." okay whatever. so we ask for our fish, he kept talking and talking about things totally irrelevant. bad music, stupid movies, music stuck in his head, etc. when he said a customer came in asking for the glow fish, he mentioned something about how you need acid to really enjoy the fish. whatever. don't really care about that. when we finally got our fish in the bag, it was bagged totally screwy. poor fishy. but when I finally looked in another tank and saw 8 dead fish, I said, "hey, you might want to get those out." he exact words were, "ehhh, I would but I've got a lot of other shit to do right now." this is the worst walmart I have ever been to. i went in there with high hopes the first time to get a few grocery items. lo and behold, they were out of almost everything i needed. items were filled in the incorrect spots all over the store, especially the grocery and pet sections, so that the shelves looked full, but as something else was in the spot that was empty, it looked like the item was in stock and it clearly didn't get ordered. i thought this might be a one-time thing as i work retail and i know sometimes you have to do that to make the shelves look full when a corporate big-shot comes to visit the store. so, i went back again. and again, they didn't have the things i needed because the aisles are trashed and not properly faced. i have been in there several times as it's the closest store to my house and sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, and every time i go there, i always leave missing things i went in for. ...when i leave with anything at all. there have been several instances when i have left with nothing at all, having become to frustrated and agitated to spend half my day waiting in line at the check-out and have simply abandoned my items and walked out. come on, walmart. you're a multi-billion dollar corporation. can you really not afford the extra cashier or two? i suppose it has taken me several months to finally get it, but unless you wanna spend forever and a day in line with only some of the items you need, don't waste your time coming here. read more

I typically don't like Walmart but my significant other wanted some sporting goods something or other so I reluctantly went. We couldn't find anyone working in the sporting goods department but did located an employee in the bicycle area. After waiting more than 10 minutes for that Walmart employee to locate someone who could help us I finally went to customer service to request help. Oh and the kicker the item he wanted was out of stock. Two other customers were equally frustrated trying to get help in the automotive and paint department. It's a rare occurrence when I ever need or want to go to a Wal-Mart. I mean, aside from what we know about the practices, pay, blah-blah...I could go off on a tangent, but I'll save that for another time. I was driving back home today from a boot-camp morning (with the amazing Joanne W. and Aimee M.) and needed to stop and get more water and release some. You read right. It was about 10am and pouring rain, complete with lightening. I pulled into the "mega-low-mart" parking lot, quite close to the door. I hurried in and was greeted warmly by the greeter. I made a beeline to the ladies room (spotless!) and headed down to the produce section. Can you believe they had kale...for 88 cents a bundle? You might not think this is a big deal, but for the past few weeks, Whole Foods and Target have been fresh out. With my fresh kale in hand, I decided to check out their healthy selections. Soy chorizo, a few varieties of tofu, almond milks, cereals and vegan-safe sugar. Yep. All priced very well. The cashier was friendly and quick. By the time my 10 minute trip was over, I didn't feel too bad. If you must trek it to Wal-Mart for any reason, I recommend this location for the food selection. Clean, friendly and a decent selection of vegetarian/vegan food staples. read more

Normally I shop at Dominick's but lately I've been having problems finding Campbell chicken noodle soup in the two Dominick's in my area. I talked with management who suggested to order from Online App which also didn't have any. I am actually very disappointed with this location. There are never enough cashiers so we are waiting in the line for WAY too long. If you go at night it is beyond crowded and shelves are empty. This walmart always has long lines, but the have organic meats and poultry and a really good price. The ladies and the service desk are always friendly and very pleasant to have a conversation with.
