Although I live across the street from this Walmart I honestly HATE going to the Galleria location and would normally drive to Indian Trail. The level of customer service is the absolute lowest and it makes no sense how after you shop you have to utilize self checkout because their are normally 2-3 registers open at any time and the damn people who operate the self checkout gotta roll their eyes if they have to assist with anything. Like QUIT, customer service isn't for you! The slow stroll, no sense of urgency, talking to customers like they are your homegirls/homeboys is definitely and the rolling of the eyes really be so unnecessary. read more

The prices are never right- what is listed by product , could be more or less then what is rung up. Got grapes today - said $1.34/lb. I paid $1.57- didn't realize till hours later. Wine advertised for $6.27 was actually $5.98. Pepsi advertised once for $3.68, rung up for over $4. On another note, produce is always questionable on freshness. read more

The shelves are poorly stocked, the workers are completely operating in their own stratosphere, the produce is average at best, the prices are pretty ok, and the people-watching is sublime! This Walmart is a super-store, complete with a fully functioning auto center and grocery store. People work there are pretty nice, and they have all the items I needed for my new place. So it's a walmart. I don't even know how exactly to review it without comparing it to other walmart locations. It is in a safe location and I do feel safer at this walmart than I do at other Walmart's in charlotte or elsewhere. Unfortunately, every time I've come here they never have what I'm looking for. So I try to avoid coming here at all costs. The parking lot is crazy just like it is at all Walmart locations. I had to park over on the side of the building just to find a spot. The check out lines were ridiculously long so I ended up going to customer service to check out. Customer service counter was very helpful at this location. They were able to take my return quickly and refund my money. Then when I wanted to purchase something that didn't have a price tag, they were able to look up the price and check me out in less than five minutes. So I do applaud them for that. There is a McDonalds inside just like there are at many other Walmarts. I tend to buy my toiletries at Walmart just because of the good prices but I really hate going in here and avoid going at all costs. There's lots of other places in the same shopping center so it's a good one stop shop if you are looking to run several errands at one time. I've never used their auto-department but I know you can get your oil changed in addition to car repairs and purchase tires. Overall, I think it's a nicer Walm-mart than most in Charlotte. It's clean and well stocked. (Other than scrubs. I can NEVER find scrubs in my size at this location.) Happy shopping! I like this particular Walmart. The workers are always friendly toward me. The only real problem I've had here is getting someone to cut fabric. This seems to be a problem across the company though. It's a Walmart and the atmosphere is better than the one's in the surrounding area. Parking here is a nightmare, and became worse once they took the side parking spaces and delegated them for those who order online and pick up. I also wish Walmart would staff more people in the deli to cut cheese and meat. It is real hard for one lady to serve 7-10 people in a timely manner, especially when she has to cut, weigh, rewrap, and repeat. Walmart had the bright idea to put in more self service lanes, which I have dubbed the "you work" check outs. So far I have had to use this about 12 times. By my calculations, Walmart owes me a paycheck of 23.00. I figured in my years of experience and education of course. read more

The auto center does good work except they move at 2 speeds, slow and dead! Waited in my car for over a half hour just to get waited on. I give them 3 stars because the work is good and inexpensive. But no matter what time of day or day of the week I go the service is extra SLOW! If Jiffy Lube were not so crooked, I would have gone there and been done in the time that I waited at the Walmart. Then the service of an oil change took over an hour and a half. Would change the oil myself if it were not for all the regulations about disposal. read more

We were pleased. The parking lot to store walk is nice. The outside of the store looked swank and very inviting. We got dried cherries and Lance crackers. Just left a basket full of items at the "self Serve aisle check out." They had one check out aisle with a person and it was for 20 items. There was a lady there with 100 items. And 15 self check out aisles. Just spent 45 minutes walking around getting stuff, so I went to the self check out aisle. As I was there taking my items out so then I could scan my 30 items, i got so angry I just walked out, I did not want to do that type of work at a store that should have some bagging service. If this is what Walmart has come to I may never be back to or bring anyone back to Walmart (I bring Groups often). Overall, it is a solid place to shop at. There will be days when you'll be disappointed and days you'll be satisfied. I mean it's Walmart what can you expect? They provide really anything you can think of at great, low prices. You can get your groceries, clothes, furniture, hygiene products, outdoor equipment, jewelry, oil changes, glasses, makeup, etc. Because the prices are low, don't expect great quality every time and for the greatest customer service. Like I said, it is Walmart so you can't expect much, but for the prices and items available you can definitely find ways to be satisfied. Also, they now have a pick-up grocery system available for those who are interested in that. In conclusion, don't go in there expecting the greatest of quality and service because you will only disappoint yourself. But like I said, they will probably have what you need at a great price, so go at your own risk. read more

Went to this location to get a basic oil change, they said it would take an hour or less. Not a big deal, we shopped around and waited, and waited, still not ready. Two and a half hours later, still not ready or even started, so we decided to just leave without the oil change, after we spent $240 on other items, we asked two employees for assistance in helping with the dilemma and they were both useless and did not care at all... what a waste of time read more

This Walmart is a lot better than the Walmart on Providence Road. This is a full-sized Walmart and they have a lot of seasonal items. Every time I come to this location I always buy what I need and never have to run to another store because they didn't have what I was looking for. The employees don't really help too much but I don't blame them because it's a big store and no one can know where everything is that all the time. read more

They have most everything you would need which is why they get 2 stars. I have had issues with them not taking the wrappers off of deli meat before slicing it, getting home and starting to eat a plastic sandwich. Another issue is I went to buy a Brita/Pur water filter and They have 3 prices on the shelf for the same item each 5 to ten dollars difference (to make sure I checked the same model # on each tag.) I then scan it on the price checker and it gives me a different price than any of the tags labeled for it. I go to ask an employee how much it is and explained they have 4 different prices for the exact same item and she acted like I was ruining her life and almost got into a fight with another employee of where to ring me out at customer service or at the self checkout lines. Sorry I'm not trying to pay $45 for a $25 filter. Some employees are extremely nice here others are horribly incompetent and unprofessional. read more

I've had nothing but great things to say about this locations grocery pickup and recommended to everyone... till a few months ago. I don't know if they changed management or what but they are beyond horrible now. 1st they tell you they are out of stock on over 50 percent of your order, then they do not offer any substitutes even though your order is set to allow substitutes. And when you call their bluff and go inside you find that they do have the items in stock as well as substitutes they you have received in the past for the same item. On top of that, I have waiting in a designated spot for over an hour to get my groceries. Even though I entered my name in at the check in box and parked in the assigned spot the employee had to come out 3 times asking what the name on the order is. Now my schedule time is over an hour past and I still haven't heard anything about my order being ready for pickup. I have talked to several people who have had the same experience. I only have myself to blame! I suffered a loss with site to store earlier this month by having my package lost in the Walmart depths of hell. Luckily I got a refund and a non existent 20% discount on my next purchase. You see folks, I am on a quest to obtain the ultimate hard body for the summer and the only piece I am missing is a bar and weight set to complete my home gym. So I did it, yup I tried site to store pick up once again. To my surprise it was actually available today..HOT DAMN! Off I went to go get my purchase and then it happened. They couldn't find it. Curse you Satan!! 20 min later they located one. And the package looked like Gold's Gym threw it through the internet to the store. I was reluctant to take it home but I figured don't judge a book by its cover. Bad move! Not only were some of the weights damaged but it was missing parts. Back to the store I went. I asked to speak to the Assistant Manager Darcy, but Darcy was not up for delivering customer service tonight. You see she had inventory and had only 5 min to go till quitting time. I felt the love!! NOT. Luckily I was able to get a refund and have officially learned my lesson. I honestly think Walmart needs to re-evaluate training their managers on how not to be a douche and proper customer service. I don't really have high expectations for Wal-mart, so here goes. We did our grocery shopping and various other shopping trips here for about a year and a half. We recently switched to eating all fresh food, and we go to Food Lion for that now. The only good thing I can really say about this Walmart is the prices are low, there are wide sections and varieties of what you're looking for and what to look at, and much more. The customer service however, is bad. I remember almost bumping into one of the Walmart employees and instead of saying excuse me, she laughed and kept on her business. Although the store is well-stocked and brightly lit and has plenty of parking, this store has its issues. I will check myself out ordinarily at self-checkout...even with a full cart, I'm usually quicker than the staff. Most recently, I spent 45 minutes trying to reach this store by phone at 8:45 in the morning on a weekday (to try and save myself a wasted trip if they didn't carry a needed item). This is not a busy time in that store. No one picked up at the main number. Finally, I called the deli department to ask to be transferred to the department I needed (no one picked up in that department, however). The last time I called, a curt woman picked up on about the 30th ring at the main number (where you press 0 to speak with an associate). Just an unacceptable level of customer service. But sometimes...you *have* to go to Walmart. The Indian Trail store is friendlier and has better service--but it's smaller. read more
