Good overall services, good pharmacy, plentiful of great merchandise at great prices. Love shopping here frequently. Cons: occasionally hears employees swearing, inappropriate languages. Poor services in checkout lines. Always take too, too long. Even in express lines, it's still slow as snails. In my opinion Wegmans have the best services and checkout experience in the efficient and fastest timely manner. Please improve because I would hate not to want to ever shop here. read more

I was stopped leaving the store "because I didn't have receipt." The problem is, I didn't buy anything. I was at the eye doctor for a contact lens follow up and had a free lens solution sample in my hand, which clearly said (professional sample, not for resale). I told the guy this, but he said he "could not let me leave with a reciept". And since it says "not for resale, I shouldn't have it". Quite possibly one of the dumbest, most infuriating interactions I have ever had. Came here to pick up pictures and pop. I was here for 50 minutes. No one st the photo center. Order wasn't ready. Finally got someone from electronics to get the pictures for me. Then went to check out and lines were 20+ people. Went to express which had about 10'people and the woman closes it to TAKE A BREAK. Leave to go BACK to electronics to check out. Wait there in line. The register freezes and he has to call a manager to unlock it. Stood there for TWENTY FIVE minutes waiting for someone to unlock the register. Place is absolutely awful and a trash fest. You can drive 20 minutes out of the way to a different Walmart and probably still finish quicker then trying to buy anything here. Zero stars read more

Why move the Walmart from Thruway Plaza and make it a Super Walmart only to close at 11pm. I have never seen a Super Walmart close they are all open 24 hours. This a inconvenient that I have to drive 10 miles away to go to a 24 hour Walmart when you opened a super Walmart 3 minutes away read more

Went there to return an item that doesn't work. Was took back to electronics had to wait for them to check the item for them to see the item doesnt work. Took me back to customer service for them to tell me they couldn't return it after the sales associate told me we could. The same lady keep walking around avoiding telling we we could not return the item. The worst customer service ever! read more

I tried calling the number that is on the website for the Cheektowaga location several times. The first time I called on Sun 10/18/2020 the call went to the fitting room attendant who tried to transfer me to the grocery dept and the phone just kept ringing. I tried again on Monday Oct 19, 2020 the first time on this day the phone rang 30 times and no one picked up. I tried again at approx 5pm again went to the fitting room attendant and she said she would transfer me to groceries. I waited for 15 min on hold listening to elevator music that kept cutting out then the phone rang again no answer just went back to music. The same fitting room attendant came back on and asked how she could help me and when I told her I was waiting for the grocery dept she informed me that she could not transfer me I would have to contact customer service. I asked her if she had the number for customer service because the number I called that was on the website took me to her or could she transfer me to customer service. She informed me that she could not transfer calls and did not have the customer service number. If a business wants you to shop with them they need to make sure you can contact their customer service so that you can be directed to the dept you are requesting not to the fitting room attendant. read more

I usually go to the one on Sheridan because of the distance, but I was on Walden so decided to go to this one. Literally the worst Walmart in Buffalo. The workers have attitude and are pretty rude to you, and despite it being a Saturday afternoon which of course is going to be busy, there was maybe 4 lanes open, along with the self checkout which apparently you have to have "20 items or less" so as I was in line the guy kicked me out. The workers don't give a crap. Not to mention, I bought chicken that was spoiled even though the date was perfectly fine. This Walmart is terrible. Sheridan it is! read more

I normally go to the Transit location because whenever I go here they are pretty much out of stock of a couple things I need. I go here to buy leggings and they almost NEVER have them restocked. I'd say they only restock them every few months while the shelf is empty that whole time. read more

Don't buy the food! I was in this Walmart last Saturday, there was a shopping cart full of food that should have been kept in the heat box such as pre-cooked chicken, and food that should have been kept cold such as yogurt and milk as well as food that should have been kept frozen like ice cream, frozen pizza and shrimp. I don't know how long or why this cart was sitting there, but it was obvious that it was a while. While in line at Customer Service the manager wheeled out a similar cart from the back and put it next to the first one. I don't know if this food was returned or if it was food left at registers as unwanted, but what I saw next was disgusting. The manager was walking through the store with the first cart and I saw him re-stocking the pre-cooked chicken, then I saw him putting the shrimp back in the freezer, out of curiosity I checked the bag after he walked away and it was completely defrosted - you can't refreeze shrimp, you are going to make someone sick. So, I went to the ice cream aisle and sure enough, he was putting a container n the freezer, when I took it out it was easy to tell the ice cream was not only melted but had been leaking out of the container. I'm not sure what their policy is on food there, but I will never buy anything there again. read more

No, no, no, and NO! My fiance and I came here to pick up an order that was placed online that we originally tried to purchase at the location on Transit. And that's where our problems began. When we went to pick up the soundbar (that the email clearly said would be ready for pickup) we went to stand in line at customer service in the "pick-up" line. We were passed by several times by both employees and management. I had to literally ask for help bc we were getting ignored so bad. The manager was very unprofessional and we were told that the item would not be available for another 24-48 hours (even though the item was stocked on shelf). We left the store and called the 800 number for more help but we're told that even they would need to call the store manager for clarification. They received the same brushed off treatment as we did and we ended up leaving and waiting for a call back from headquarters. Eventually that day everything got worked out, but that location had far too many unprofessional workers that it will keep us far away from this location when dealing with customer service. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. All I needed was a simple fax number. I called every single department that was an option on the automated menu and was on hold for about 15-20 minutes every time, AFTER dialing every extension to reach someone. I had to call back SIX SEPARATE TIMES until I finally reached a real human, and this time, I asked to speak with a manager. Once again, I was put on hold for 13 minutes until I hung up. Not once did someone pick up the phone after being on hold for minutes to notify me that the line was still being transferred or they were waiting for that person to be available, etc. I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service and hope that I never have to call this store for any assistance. I was transferred in circles for over an hour just to get nowhere. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER, EVER, EVER GO TO THIS STORE. read more

So I already hate Wal-Mart as it is, but because it was a newer location I figured hey I'll give it a try. We ended up leaving fairly satisfied and had bought multiple items including a sofa cover. About a week, maybe 2 at the most pass and we decide to return the sofa cover because we really didn't need it at the time. My girlfriend went in to return it where they told her since she didn't have the receipt if she had my bank card (which was used for the purchase) and knew the date we purchased the cover they would give us a full refund. Fine. Not super unreasonable. So the day after we were in the area and I stopped figuring I'll run in and return this no problem. I was greatly mistaken. I told them the date and gave them the card number they needed and went to grab an item. Came back 5 minutes later with them telling me they could not find the transaction. I tried a different date. Nothing. They pushed for store credit. I told them I had the transaction on my phone with the date I had originally mentioned. They told me it had to be the Depew store. I told them I don't ever shop there, that it was this location. They continued to tell me nothing they could do but give me store credit. I asked to see a manager. The associate told me they are just going to tell me the same thing. I told the associate I have proof of purchase of the item in question on my phone and I demand my money back. I have proof I bought the item for crying out loud. I was told should've kept the receipt. After a snippy comment I felt needed to be said I asked for a manager again. Finally she actually called her manager over (the first time I requested she did not) and I explained my frustration. I gave the manager the date and the item and my card and asked her to please humor me. She did and in seconds the purchase came up......SECONDS!!!!! A half an hour I was in there just to return an item. And not only was i treated like I was stupid and almost didn't get my refund in the actual tender I purchased it with, I wasted my time for no reason. And the associate couldn't even apologize for being so incompetent. Pretty much sums up Wal-Mart in general. read more
