Just called in to see if they had any extra boxes laying around (I'm moving soon). Each and every store - Schnucks, Target, Wal-greens, restaurants - have either been thrilled to have someone take them, since they take up dumpster space, or have politely said they did not at this time. 3 times I called - the first I was transferred to produce and put on hold for about 5 minutes. The second time Automotive answered and transferred me to a lady at customer service who, after politely asking if they had any unused boxes as I was moving, responded with a "NO" and hung up. The 3rd time was similar to the 1st call but to customer service again. I don't really do 1 star reviews as I'm understanding some days are off-days. But good lord, I'm not even looking at this stores direction ever again. A simple "I'd have to check but I don't think we have any right now as it's mid-day" would have been completely fine. I will never spend a dime in any walmart location again.Where shall i begin.Today was my interview at this location with the Mgr.David and things went well.After the interview he had to have the permission of the store mgr to sign off on approval for hire.He came in and said im sorry at this time we dont have any position available. But while i was in the interview room he hired a white college kid with limited availability for the same cashier position I really felt discrimated.What amaze me is how there are only 2 check out lanes open during the day 1 week before christmas.A waste of time and not to mention waste of gas. Took me 30 min to get there.I really hope that Corp read this review and provide additional training for members of mgnt because from my understanding companys cant discrminate. I agree with Darlene G! ONE human checker yesterday around 3:30! An older gentleman with a cane was behind me in line. He found a wood stool nearby and dragged it to the check out line to sit on while waiting. The person in front of me had a $350.00 order and the checker was slower then molasses probably because she was MAD and RESENTFUL about being the only checker! Using the self check out is not for everyone! Plus, if as a customer, I'm doing all the work then PAY me or reduce the price of your products accordingly! Now I realize why the Walmart store in Chesterfield has such poor reviews. I purchased a tire from walmart.com and received an email telling me it would arrive at the store on Nov. 2, and it would be ready for pickup. Simple enough. But when the evening of Fri., Nov 2 arrived and I still hadn't received an email, I called the Auto Center at the store. Although the tracking report showed that Fed Ex had delivered the tire to the store at 9:03am that morning, the associate I spoke with (6pm) said his department hadn't received the tire. He conducted a search, but found nothing. The next day (Sat) I called walmart.com, and reported what had happened and asked that a replacement tire be sent. The individual I spoke with asked me to wait and give the store another 24 hours to find the tire; then a replacement could be scheduled. Of course, by mid-day Sunday nothing had arrived. I called walmart.com and they said they would schedule a replacement. That same afternoon I phoned the Chesterfield store and told them a replacement would be arriving. At that point, the sales associate I was speaking with said he would again search for the tire. This time he found it. In the produce department! Monday I drove out to Chesterfield to have the tire mounted and installed on my car. Since the Tire Center doesn't take appointments, I was told there would be at least a 1 hour wait. I told the associate that I wanted to see if there was a book I could read while I waited so I went over to the book department, found one and went back to the tire center. Although I was only gone ten minutes, I was told another car had just arrived and the wait time was now an hour and a half. I said I would not wait and asked to take the tire and have someone else mount it. Then I was informed that the tire hadn't been processed and I couldn't take it. (Unbelievable. The tire was supposed to be ready for me on Nov. 2. But on Nov. 4 it still wasn't ready to be picked up!) Evidently someone had to override the data in the computer to let me take my already-paid-for tire. This three stooges worthy scenario took place while Jason, an auto center manager, was standing there. Although he could have gotten involved and handled this mess, he chose to stand with his back to me, showing no interest whatsoever in the on-going fiasco. The department minions just stood there, like a coven of embarrassed dwarves, bereft of even an ounce of leadership in the entire group. At this point I boiled over and demanded to talk to the store manager. The assistant store manager came over and showed the dwarves how to make the computer change necessary to free the tire. Then I took the tire to a competitor for mounting. So now I know why this store is so poorly rated. A customer, like me, has to wonder what will it take for the corporation to force the store's management to correct the Auto Center's sales killing management? read more

Worst Walmart in the nation. Dirty bathrooms with no toilet paper. Slowest checkers that couldn't careless about you. 2 people in front of me waited 15 mins. Two lines open. They're rude and incompetent. Go anywhere else. read more

Typical Walmart. Rude employee's, only 1 checkout line during rush, as lines pile up on one, you can see employee's closing their line. One employee was even hovering over my partner and I as we purchased our products, tried lecturing us until I had to stop him. It's not worth the hassle. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

The curbside pick up is great. They got my school supplies, groceries, etc. They load it in the car. They cannot accept tips. I love this. It saves so much time and energy. The app is very friendly. read more

Yep. There's people there. And things to buy. And it was a holiday. And I changed my pants in the parking lot. And the fan was easy to put together. This is a Walmart, so obviously not a luxury store, but compared to the one in Bridgeton by me this is tops! It's amazing what a difference it can be between locations! This one is bigger, nicer, cleaner, way nicer staff and customers! read more
