I went to the Walmart located at 3943 Grand Ave Chino, CA 91710 to cash a scholarship check on 11/30/2025 at around 10 AM. I went to the money services center and there was no one at the counter. I sent my son to tell a cashier that we needed help. They then sent in employee identified as Vanessa "Team Lead" per her employee badge. As she arrived I placed my check on the top counter which I HAD SIGNED INSIDE THE STORE AT THE WALMART MONEY CENTER COUNTER and then began to get my ID to hand to her. She grabbed my check turned it around and said she could not cash the check due it being previously signed. I informed her that she was incorrect and asked her to please check her cameras because I signed the check in store at the Walmart money center counter. She refused services to me or to attempt to help me or look at the cameras she just kept repeating her policy, which was in fact not broken. I asked to speak to a manager she called a man identified as Jesse "Coach" per his employee badge. I explained the situation to him and as I explained she Vanessa yelled over "I didn't see her sign the check" which I agreed okay she might not have seen it but that does not make it true. I asked him to please check the cameras because I in fact signed the check here at the counter inside of Walmart right at she stepped to the counter. I had been waiting to be helped there was NO ONE at the counter when I arrived. So, Jesse refused to assist me and told me "I'm not going to check the cameras and it's policy you signed the check and we are not going to cash it". He refused to mitigate or help in the situation. I asked for his manager's information and asked him to please identify his name and title and to also write her name and title which he began being rude saying to me " you don't need her information I gave you the store manager's name and my name you don't need any other information and we are not going to help you" he was very rude. I still got her information by looking at her badge after she completed her transaction with the customers in line. This is unacceptable service. There was no policy broken nor did anyone take the time to listen to my concern. I was just rudely dismissed and refused service for an incorrect employee mistake. read more

Clean the restrooms once in a while, always filthy like the store it self... never anyone around for help

I purchased a meat slicer using a gift card and my debit card. When I received the box, I immediately recognized that it had already been opened. When I opened it, I found the cutting mechanism was dirty and greasy. It had been used and not cleaned, and returned. Then Walmart gave it to me dirty. When I returned the meat slicer I informed the cashier (Vanessa) that I was fine with being given another gift card for the amount of the original gift card. However, I wanted the money from by debit card, returned to by back account. Rather than doing that, the cashier returned everything to a Walmart.com account and told me that it may take several days for the funds to become available. I had and have no desire to purchase anything else from Walmart. The most infuriating thing is Vanessa acted as if the whole situation was my fault. She told me it was too late and that my only recourse was to shop on Walmart.com or try to go through Walmart.com customer service. I guess it is sort of on me. I generally avoid shopping at Walmart or on Walmart.com, because of experiences just like this one. How foolish of me. I should have known better. read more

I've ordered this deep freezer from this location to have it shipped to my home, when i opened it up to find out it was completely mangled. The sketchy thing is the box and foam protection is in good condition so makes me think that it was tumbled at Walmart then placed back in the box knowing it was mangled to ship to me. It was not damaged by FEDEX during transportation. I would understand more if it was damaged during transportation because its bound to happen but knowing it was damaged before shipping it? I don't know if anyone cares about bad reviews, but the management team here is so poor. I had a receipt to return a Christmas card and a figurine (not Christmas item). They grouped it all together and did not want to refund the item at all. I told them I had COVID-19, and quarantine... They did not care at all. The manager Allan did not even want to come out to talk to me. This guy was nowhere to be found, and refused to even talk to anyone. He sent his Team Leader (Peral). She mentioned it was a policy for Walmart to not accept Christmas returns or even Christmas gifts. It makes no sense, because some Christmas item gifts can be returned for gift cards right? What happens when you have multiple "same" items from family members? She stated the policy is Walmart Store-wide. I called corporate and there was no such change. Does that mean this Walmart operates outside of corporate? You betcha. Peral insisted her name is unique and there aren't that many Peral. I told her that isn't possible.... She thinks she is special, but refused to cooperate in anyway. Customer Service team said she would be out of her office, she intentionally waited a good 5 minutes before coming out to discuss the matter. She did not even want to talk to me, and tried to instruct another associate. Avoid this this Walmart at all cost for any purchase. At anytime, they can refuse return on items and avoid accepting the 30 day return policy. The store does not follow company guidelines, and that makes them in charge of their own "money-grabbing" methods. It is ridiculous to even come here. Peral probably felt good about herself for not following corporate regulations, and feels like she is protected by the store manager. She didn't even bother to call the manager. For a store to think they don't have to abide by corporate regulations, means there is some shady business going on. This is the manager below who is quite frankly not happy to help. Enforces store policy that goes against corporate policy. Ever since he became manager, it looks like bad reviews nonstop. Management needs to change, and hope he gets fired. I have to start off the review with saying that I actually don't enjoy going to stores like Walmart or Target that are large, noisy, and you know you are in for a long wait, however... This Walmart seems to be less crowded in general and each time I have asked for a support person to help me find stuff including a new TV (looking now for a 50 in smart TV), bedding (just bought a comforter set), health beauty products, and lamp, i was always not only treated well, but they came with me and helped me find something that was appropriate to what i was looking for. I found this service to be far and above better than what i had expected. I also bought a package of 8 socks and actually had brought a pair into the store in hopes of matching it, and some nice lady helped me find one similar to it - ended up being a Fruit of the Loom brand. I was a very happy camper. The wait in line was not so bad either, and on our way out, we stopped at the Burger King (they have one inside the store), and grabbed a bite. The food was average, but what can you really expect :) This Walmart has little stores inside of it including Dental, Eye care, a Facial and waxing place, Nails, and a red box. I found my experience very positive. This was the third time i have been to this Walmart in the past couple of months. I will go back. P.S. They also carry Blue Bunny Frozen Yogurt which is high on my list of things to find in stores. I have not found the frozen yogurt in any other store except Walmart! read more

Spend plenty of money at this store for years We have always got great service from the cashiers but not thus time At check out we were not greeted by this cashier Connie She had a sour look on her face and was not nice or friendly When she gave my wife the change she said she was out of pennies and shorted her 2 cents my wife told me this on the way out We turned to someone who looked to be a supervisor and told her what happened she in turn went to the cashier and asked her about it I then headed over the the check out and told the supervisor that i didnt want the 2 cents but told her thats not the way to handle the matter She should have rounded it off and given us a dime it was 7 cents she owed us when you run out of pennies call your mgr to get you some and just dont short the customer to protect your Till from being short It wasnt the 2 cents it was her long face and unfriendly disposition and then she had to tell the next customer about us and he had something smart to say about it He should have kept his mouth shut because he didnt know what happened To Walmart customers Avoid this cashier when you are spending your hard earned money read more

Curbside pick up sucks here.. You cant check in on the app.. the phone number on the spots doesn't work.. you call the store they transfer you and it just rings. You look for a worker which takes forever.. to ask them to check in for your order. Been here tonight an hour and 20 minutes for my order, that I really need. I love that the dumb old lady sees me walking in with a bag and doesn't bother to tell me their return center opens at 7am. She's too busy blocking a small coffee spill for all the people not walking in at 6am. This rating goes to a cashier by the name of Lidia. Wednesday at around 7:30 am I completed my shopping. I don't like self checkout so I got in line. There weren't to many people in line but when it was my turn, Lidia right away with her great personality helped me as far as taking everything out of my basket she came around and scanned all the bigger items and she talk to me like she knew me for a long time. The pickup process is atrocious. My wife purchases groceries online. We received a message that pickup would be available between 7pm-8pm. At 7:53, my wife received an email saying our order was ready for pick up. The email instructed me to download the Walmart app and check in to notify the pickup department that I was on my way. I tried multiple times to check in and I continued to receive an error message saying there was an issue with Walmart's network and to try again later. So, I decided I'd just drive over. As I was driving, I tried calling three times and all three times when I selected which department I wanted, the phone rang continuously for about 3 minutes and then just hung up. Three times! Nobody answered! I tried a different department the third time and still, nothing! I arrived, parked and went in to talk to someone. I was directed to then drive to the further end of the parking lot and park in front of an orange numbered sign and call the number on the sign. I called, and sure enough, I get a recording saying they are closed. This was at 8:27. I see multiple cars parked as well and a lot of frustrated people. I get out of my car, approached an employee who is putting groceries in someone's car and I ask him about my order. Two other people approached this guy after seeing me approach him and inquire about their orders. Someone yelled from afar that they have been waiting for 40 minutes. It is now 8:50pm. I'm sitting in my car. I haven't received my order. I left my house at 7:55. This is easily the most disorganized colossal disaster of an operation I have ever witnessed. I understand that places get busy... but please, set realistic expectations! Make sure your app/technology works. Don't send me an email that my order is ready to pick up 7 minutes before you apparently close. This makes NO SENSE. No more Walmart for me. UPDATE: I finally received my order at 9:02pm. Went to this Walmart today to return defective used item that they sent me. The return department told me that they can't return, because the item has been returned. However, that is not the case, it is shown in the apps that I have to complete the return to the store. Long story short, they would not refund me for defective item that they sent me. I went back home, will send it via Fedex where they will have to pay for the return. How stupid was the return department, it will cause Walmart to spend extra $15 to have my stuff returned via Fedex. What is worst, half of this walmart are not wearing masks. Good luck if there is 2nd wave of COVID 19, this Walmart will be the epicenter. Even the employee and the manager in the return department had their noses uncovered... for the two of you, just dump that mask, because it is the same like not wearing it at all. Terrible curbside pickup experience. If you're doing curbside pickup to save time, then don't bother. You'll end up wasting time waiting for them and get an order delayed message. If you're just trying to avoid getting out of the car to avoid the sun then sure this might work for you. My order was scheduled for 2:24pm. I arrive 10min early, I don't get my order until 2:45pm. Wow, I'm impressed. I'm a Target kind of person and haven't been to Walmart for a while. Yesterday I went to get something for my mom and it's totally different now. The aisles are way more organized and cleaner, the staffs are way nicer and more knowledgeable, plus they have more employees on the floor, and their choices of food items are way more broad and healthier. They have more organic, keto, and gluten free type of food and the pricing is very competitive. Organic Annie's Mac and Cheese is $1/pack, at Target is $1.99. Their Good Value Wheat Bread is $.84, Target Market Pantry bread is $1.52. Definitely, I'll visit Walmart more often! PS: they also renovated their bathroom. read more

I actually go out of my way a few times to visit this particular Supercenter location simply due to its size. It's massive and I feel like it carries way more stuff (notably food and snacks) than a Supercenter closer to where I live. The biggest downer here (and at any Walmart location really) is how SLOW the Customer Service desk is for returns. I had my first experience yesterday. I understand closure of additional registers due to the current pandemic, but there was one cashier working returns at the counter and another ringing up what I assume to be online orders. The register in between was off. The person doing returns was taking a long time. I was in line for like 20 minutes here, and my return took like 2 minutes to do. Maybe it was the people in front and how complicated their returns were? IDK. Photos for this listing show a separate Pickup section in the store, so I really don't know what the other cashier at Customer Service was doing She was scanning merchandise and sifting through stuff. I know places like Target and supermarkets even tend to have a person usually doing other tasks at the service desk, so I guess it was just the unfortunate truth. Overall though, this Supercenter is nice. Very large; just gotta fight weekend crowds and try to distance yourself when in lines and in those tight aisles. This is for the photocenter only. Not sure if all Walmarts are like this, but there is no dedicated photo line. The photo line is split between the electronics line, so you end up waiting in a very long line for either people asking about the new samsung galaxy watch or waiting to pick up their photos. Next logistically it is a mess, the photos are not stored at the photo counter, the associate has to get up go out and disappear for minutes at a time to find your prints. Lastly the online photo system does not allow to you select the proper cropping if your photo is not sized right. Yep you end up with a generic center cut no matter what you do. FYI if they mess up your order you need to guest services to ask for a refund and not wait in line. read more
