I went in to wall mart on 4/6/2024 looking for a camping chair that I had seen online. Since I could not wait for the chair to be delivered, I decided to buy it physically. As a result the price online was different from the store price. As I was about to pay I asked if they could price match the item since their website stated the cheaper price. The cashier was rude and said we do not do that. I was stunned to hear that and asked do you do this in any other stores or is it just in this location? At one time 18 plus years ago when I moved to Colton this Walmart was actually a nice place to shop. It was very close just minutes away from where I live. Over the years it has been on a steady decline more like a downward spiral in smoke and flames very likely because incompetent management! Even before this Covid hording stuff there would be a large sections of totally empty shelves all over the store! You could go into this pathetic excuse for a Walmart with a list of six things and we're lucky if you we're able to fulfil three items of your list forcing you to waste time and gas and go somewhere else to complete your shopping list! I stop at Walmart to buy some quick necessities as a female such as soap and wipes to wash my female parts and wash my ass to find out they have everything locked up even more now. I ask two employees that were standing there doing absolutely nothing, if they can unlock it in which they stated to press the infamous red button. So I press the call button.... I wait approximately 15 minutes and still nothing. I walked to the register next to the gate that keeps the area locked as well and asked if he can get someone to open it and he said sorry you have to wait, there's only one person with the key. I'm sorry but for an entire SUPER WALMART there's only ONE person with a key that goes department to department to unlock the cages?! First of all, why are the female necessities even locked up??? Two aisles down the men's wipes and etc are wide open on a shelf. This is absurd. 20-30 minutes later I walk away, guy at register stops me and says did someone come to open it? Of course not! You're working the gate like did you see an employee come with keys? Smfh Walmart you need to do better. I went in today looking for baby wipes and this was my first time coming to this specific Walmart for them so I didn't know where they would be exactly so I went to the Cosmetics area because that's where the Walmart that I usually go to has them along with feminine wipes. I couldn't find them so I went up to an older lady working with dark curly hair with a lil bit of grey hair throughout and nicely asked her where the baby wipes would be... she then answered under her breath where I couldn't hear her and she didn't even bother to stop what she was doing to even look at me. So I then said "I'm sorry what was that" she then decided to look at me and legit scream at me "I SAID IT WOULD BE IN THE BABY SECTION!" Great place to come for tires. Great service! Great prices! I arrived at 8:45 am Renee took me in right away. I needed 2 tires. Price out the door $274. Included rotation and $20 fee for both tires to be covered should I get a nail. Time 10:17am almost ready. No better place to wait to beat the heat. Walk around you can't get bored! You can even . I also saved $21 to recycle my own tires. Of course they can recycle here but that's a extra $21.00. I'm happyJoseph at the register is so happy great guy. Walmart Delivery is a "RIPOFF" !! Every time I have ordered from them there has been a issue that has led to my calling them. They don't have what you ordered and it was listed in stock. They don't send any notice of being out of stock. The drivers don't give you your complete order and when you phone it in they only want to credit you a refund so you have to make a new order and you can only order $35. or more to make an order. I came in yesterday to buy 4- tires that came out to 396 and I decided to add the insurance on it. So almost 500.00. I called to put the tires on hold for an hour, I came in and Jessie brought out the tires and I said that I would buy them and for installation they said it would have to be done the next day because they were busy and the only person who could do it was busy.. so I asked if we could purchase the tires and leave them here and I would be in the next day. With the manager standing behind him overheating the situation, Jessie replied with "I don't think we can do that?" I was confused about them not wanting my money? In my confusion the manager finally jumped in and stated that they have had issues with people doing this in the past, and the employees would still sell them and then gave me a flashback memory of said experience. Two things could have happened. 1. Jessie could have expressed this over the phone when I called and asked for the tires. "Did you want them put on today? Or are they just for purchase?" I would have expressed that I wanted them today? He could have them put them on hold til they closed and I could have not waisted gas and driven down. 2. In the event that I came down anyway, spoke to his manager and put my tires aside seeing as though I was adamant to pay. Letting his manager know and putting them in an area not to be sold. Now, 2 could have happened if Walmart came up with a secured system for this action. How is this even a thing? I buy tires and you put them aside, only to sell them to someone else? What is this Volaris Airlines? How has Walmart not come up with a system where this does not occur. So, I come in today and before I do I call, the woman who answered the phone was rude, I got transferred and when the other woman answered it was the same energy (Athena). I don't understand why this is a common thing with Walmart, if you hate your job. Quit? I say good morning and the attitude is present. Anyway, I called and asked if they still had my tires they put me on hold.. A different woman answers, Rene. She was so sweet and nice. She said they did have them and I asked how long it would take and she said an hour. If I was to come now and I said perfect! So my boyfriend and I went at 8:00am only to get there, where I was greeted by Rene and who was amazing and getting my information and setting me up to get started. I was face to face with the second women who had an attitude and was told an hour. We walked the store for 45 minutes, we came back and my car had not be touched since they pulled it into the garage. Rene saw me in the window and came to let me know that the ONLY person who could change my tires was on a 15 min break. WHAT IN THE HELL? She apologized and spoke to Rob or Rod the service manager and said that we had been waiting and he told her " Well we have people in line" she replied with "When she called I told her an hour cause we had two cars ahead of her" he said "No, she had a few, do they want to do it or not?" Rene replied with "She had one car, but another oil was taken in, now she has to wait again." My boyfriend asked how long and she replied with "Another hour." My boyfriend had work which was why we came at 8:00am. So we said forget it. I'm not to sure why only ONE employee can change tires when I'm seeing that the person is doing it was actually the gentleman that was doing an oil change? I'm so confused. As we were leaving Rene apologized and said could you come back maybe i can asked if you come right back after dropping him off, i could have you just pull in. I said that would be fine. So she came back and said that would be great and she would be able to help me. So I'm here two hours later. If it wasn't for Rene I wouldn't have come back. Another guest was her and stated "Wow, she's really nice! Better than the dude." When I looked up, who other than Rene was there helping the guest. It sucks that because of all these employees who lack great customer service, Rene still manages to go above and beyond and for what? A rude manager and a team that doesn't want to be at work. Get better systems, get better customer service and teach your employees to leave their issues at the door. Get managers who have the experience and good customer service so that it trickles down to their team. Two other women where friendly while we were passing time in the 45 minutes waisted. Also, Carlos the manager was very friendly and nice. So I appreciated that so much. My rating has nothing to do with Rene or any other employee that was friendly and helpful. It's sucks that they fall under the company and if I could I would rate them separately I would. I don't usually shop here and I prefer to go to Target for this reason..the customer service is something I would rather experience and Walmart's low prices. Do better Walmart. This WalMart needs to be closed. I'm sure they won't because of the new super Walmart in Rialto. I once lived in that area as well & the former WalMart in Rialto was horrible. After MANY, MANY complaints (not by just me) the new super Walmart was built. On this day my husband purchased an air fryer toaster oven from the Colton Walmart. Have you ever been so frustrated with the unprofessional Walmart associates regarding a product problem from their store that you have steam coming out of your ears. We continue to try to give this store a chance, because we believe in spending our money in our neighborhood to make the neighborhood stronger and better. Well 2 pieces were missing, so he returned it. At customer service they checked to ensure the 2 pieces were there with the new one. Wouldn't ya know the sucker was dented on two sides !!! Wow, these reviews are absolutely awful --one visit to this location and I can see why! I entered this store through the garden section and the greeter was pleasant, so my visit was off to a good start. The reason I dropped by was to find a certain fish tank I'd seen online; I usually try not to bother employees unless I have to, so I'd eventually found what I was looking for on my own. I was going to go to the self-checkout stands but decided against it because even those were all occupied. Instead, I headed back over towards the garden section where the lines weren't too long. As soon as I reached the front of the line, I was "greeted" by a cashier named Frances who seemed so unhappy about working there that I almost felt bad for having her ring up my items. I've never owned a fish, so I'm still trying to get adjusted on how to take care of one. With that being said, I wanted the perfect tank! When I asked Frances what the return policy was on their fish tanks (just in case I turned out not liking it. After all, the reviews online weren't exactly promising), she literally looked at the fish tank and had a blank, bored expression and went, "Um...I don't know. Just...have your receipt if you want to return it, I guess." The customer service here is LAUGHABLE! read more

Walmart at Colton is a horrible experience for everyone. The employees are poor, management is extremely callous and incompetent (namely Melissa), and the customers are not much better. There is a strong sense that something violent might happen, at any moment, as low-class radiates inside and out into the parking lot. This is NOT Target, or even Walmart at Rialto. I'm not sure if management or cooperate even care about these reviews. They're so bad. My experience at Walmart has been like any experience at Walmart with one exception. I'm trying to understand why the hair products marketed towards women of color (curly hair textures) are locked up. I also understand people steal, but are women of color the only ones who steal. All the other products are available to grab and go except for the ones I need. I recently moved back to California from Maryland. I lived in a predominantly African American county. Now, all our the hair products there were not locked up. So I'm trying to understand why one type of products are locked up and the others are not. Thank you. read more

By far the most rude employees ever. I realize that COVID-19 is going on but should be that blatantly rude because of closure at an earlier time is ridiculous. All I wanted to know was what time the store will be opening in the morning because I've been waiting for an item for two weeks in which they said was in stock. This Walmart is ALMOST as bad as the one on Riverside Ave, the only thing that makes this one barely better is that it's a lot cleaner. 1) Employees here are racist, it doesn't matter because they're discriminating against me because LOOK white. If I was black or I looked my race (Hispanic) then it'd matter. Even when I spoke to cooperate it still took forever to get my problem solved. 2) Every time I bring something up for price match against their site or other stores they fight me on it and do whatever they can to not give it to me, I've been denied twice! 3) While outside, walking to the door I have been yelled at for not having my mask up. Even though I was outside and still 10ft from the door. 4) The Walmart in Perris ran right, maybe you should bring the management here to show this and the Rialto WM how to be ran and how to treat customers. read more
