Negative stars if possible, I was scrolling through the reviews of this place after my awful visit to the store last night and I have to disagree with the only 5 star review of this place that I saw. This place IS ghetto, the people that come to this store are mostly trashy. This store is located near the ghetto so you get the swamp of people that live in and around the ghetto. Some nights you have a dance party in the parking lot etc... In regards to panhandlers, I live next to this Walmart and have been going here for over ten years, trust me panhandlers are here just not at the door, they roam the parking lot going car to car for your grocery store change. The employees here are rude, This lady in front of me in line asked a gentlemen who was in his Walmart uniform, the price of something right next to him his response was "I'm not on the clock, go find someone else" like really? Half the time they are not even doing the there job and just sitting on there phones. There are several employees here at night and self check out is closed and only two registers are open so the line is wrapped around the entrance of the store. The issue with Walmart is they hire everybody and whoever is in charge of HR here needs to really interview these people because they have some terrible employees. Yes, things are stocked up. Produce is fresh, but that's because it's not up to the Walmart if the produce is fresh its shipped in every day or so. One of the worst, if not the worst Walmart around. Tried to buy tires today and after going around and around with an older dyed blonde lady I opted for going somewhere else. After I walked through the store twice to get information for her that was not even necessary she actually expected me to walk out again and bring them the car. Horrible experience today!! In a rush to get items to cater. Grabbed three drink dispensers that were on sale on display on an endcap. Went to the register and there were no barcodes on any of them. A sales associate went to price check and came back with a barcode sticker. The cashier rung the barcode and it registered unable to sell. Come to find out the item was recalled. The manager was rude and took the items, now I am still in need of dispensers. There was no option to help find new ones or a suggestion. read more

I was stopped at the door because I had forgotten my mask in the car. This certainly is an issue as I am sure that I should be wearing my mask as there is a legitimate pandemic on. Return to my vehicle and retrieve my mask but with some consternation because I have been in Walmart recently once or twice and half the employees are generally not wearing their masks. Since they had a bulldog at the door stopping people and making sure they were wearing their mask, I assumed I could only expected all the employees will be wearing their's. Sure enough the moment that I walked in the store the gentleman stuck in the produce department, you know all of the food that is exposed directly to the elements and those who touch or breathe on it, wasn't wearing his mask but rather had it pull down around his chin. As I walked around the store no less and most likely more than half of the employees either had the mask pulled down so their noses were sticking out they were breathing all over everything or they also had their mask pulled down all the way down under their chin. Add to that the usual Walmart standard operating procedure report customer service and shelves that aren't stocked etc. etc. and it all adds up to the reason why I avoid Walmart to the best of my ability. I think Walmart on Beville Road in South Daytona it's a ghetto store and everyone that works there has a ghetto mentality. No lie ...if you guys actually read your own reviews ...i know you have cameras so you can look and see if this is exaggerated just left your location without purchasing anything because 2 registers were open and 2 lines, each so long they are wrapping around so far its past the freezer section on one side...the other is going past the pharmacy. As the ..csm??? Says there nothing i can do she needed a break so the other cashiers went on break so now csm and asst. Manager just chilling out watching everyone stand in line. Why? In my restaurant when we are busy it is my job as a manager to step in and do the work because i am short staffed. But not that yall care because its a very busy store but before i left i watched 4 people leave half or more..full carts ...just pushed them off to the side and leave. Everytime i come here its something. I had a csm question me why i had a receipt with a discount on it. With an attitude. Why i had to explain to somwone that my ex works there and they purchased a birthday gift for me and gave the receipt because i needed to return it. Off my card? I have taken 800 to 1500. Off my card and no one has ever asked me that in any 3 locations in the area. But refused to do it because i didnt have my id. So i run to the car to get it .i come back shes still there but a different person helps me and no...i dont need your id....!#!!!!!!! She says to me. One week later i return a dvd that has not been opened because it had a puncture hole in the back of the case. Same girl.says i dont see how we couldve done this. Okaaaay. Now after going through this with her i just asked for electronics mgr. And whomever came up said it was fine just replace it. I dont get ir. If she has that much of a problem with people why is she in customer service???? Okay I got to say not every experience at Walmart is a bad experience. Just most of them. Here's the latest one I find it quite funny. So I'm at the Walmart in Ormond Beach where I usually shop and I'm looking for an MP3 player I used to know exactly where they were before they screw everything up and changed everything around and spent five and a half million dollars on it looks like nothing. Okay back to my story so I asked a couple of Associates where the MP3 players were. One sent me One Direction and when I asked the other she sent me another Direction. Well after about 5 minutes of looking for somebody that actually knew where they were I found them on my own. I wasn't sure if it was the kind that I wanted I am 68 years old and I'm not quite up on this stuff so I just open the box to look inside. Really I pull the tape back opened up the box looked inside and before I was able to get the tape back on now here's the funny part this guy walks up to me and associate and says you're not supposed to open the boxes. How I looked at him with surprise and said to him that I've been looking for someone to help me for the last 10 minutes and there wasn't a person around that could help me. And how I open the box and from out of nowhere here you are and you tell me I'm not supposed to open the box. I told him well I'm sure you have done a few things that you weren't supposed to do and your life time. I really couldn't get mad or upset because I actually found this quite amusing. I know they have the cheapest prices in town and I guess the reason for that is their employees just don't get paid as much as Publix or Winn-Dixie. I have become pretty friendly with a few Associates there since I moved here 7 years ago. I got to say not one of them is really happy there. But it's a job. I was looking at weed cutters in Garden dept. the other day and I ask Lisa to re-check the price... It was less than what was listed in front of it so I went ahead and bought it.. *MUST READ FOR SERIOUS REVIEW*first off, read this then turn around and leave the parking lot. This is legitimately the second worst Walmart I have ever been to. They have a rediculous amount of business, and no where near enough staff. Almost all staff members are useless and have a poor attitude. Feels like they have something better to do than help paying customers. I've been double charged before. Their credit card had several issues when my mother got one. And the only good produce i have gotten was bananas. And the only good experience I have ever had was in the electronic department. I suppose the area has something to do with the bad staff and gross people that shop here. Bathrooms are gross every time I have ever been here. I would not bring my children to this location ever. You can see drug dealers in day light selling drugs. I have seen a woman prostitute herself in a vehicle while returning to my vehicle in the parking lot while someone stood guard outside their vehicle. Always beggars outside asking for cash who clearly are on drugs. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to the Walmart in PORT ORANGE. I have bought a lot of cakes from your bakery in the past and was usually ok with the outcome. My recent purchase of a Birthday cake was without a doubt the best one yet. I sometimes see 3 or 4 ladies standing around doing much of nothing for several minutes at a time. The young lady who made this cake for me, as I watched from a distance, was not only working on my cake, but was also doing other peoples jobs at the same time. Worst customer service in the entire county, possibly state. Takes forever to check-out because even though there are some 30 check-out lines as well as self check-out, only 3 or 4 are open at one time so there are always 5-10 people on line waiting so it takes half hour or more to check-out. Self check-out machines not always open or working so yet another wait. Customer Service desk is a joke, one person working with a line of 10 or more people and the managers walk around doing nothing as well as staring at you waiting for an hour in line and don't get on the desk to help. They all have horrible attitudes and don't honor refunds sometimes even with a receipt. Online pickup order desk is at the back of the store where Lay-a-way used to be but desk is not manned until you press the screen to call someone which takes 15-20 minutes or more. Even though we live a mile away, we drive all the way to Port Orange to shop the Port Orange Walmart. DO NOT go at night, parking lot is dark and security is no where to be found. Cars get broken into and criminals walk around the parking lot looking to scam you, rob you, or steal your car. During the day, the homeless/indigent and random people beg you for money and give you the same sob stories about their car breaking down and needing money for the bus or a taxi or what have you.
