8/17/2026 Came in to this Walmart olin El Cajon California just of interstate 8. The are doing construction on it by the garden center making it a bigger store. So parking lot is a little confusing and congested right now. The staff greets you when coming in they were remodeling the store. I came in to get a meat tray for my sister's work. And I got one got a nice shirt for fishing it was clearance out. This is one of my favorite wal matte to go to. Check out didn't talk long. Even though it was busy. I often order online and then go pick up my groceries. It saves me a lot of time and the store is just a couple of miles away from my home. The problem is lately this store will not accept pick up orders. I can still get delivery, but normally I just like to get my groceries when I'm already out running errands. Decent Walmart location - up the hill and just off of the freeway. Parking lot is always busy and packed. Save some time and just park out in the second section or beyond. Typical stock inside in all departments. We're usually in the area for a vacation or visiting a fair so we come here to get some snacks, drinks, etc. Anytime we've needed assistance the employees were fast and friendly. The registers can get pretty busy at times, but even then, they get you through the lines in a decent amount of time. Can't go wrong getting your grocery and travel needs taken care of before getting into town more. read more

I schedule an auto service through this Walmart on September 1 for my car oil change and they turned me back saying there wasn't enough workers to complete the service and to come back at 7 am the next morning. I cancelled the work I had that day and showed up at 7 am and they turned me back again saying I did t have an appointment. After I told them what had happened the day prior they were very rude and told me to wait for 3 hours. I asked for the manager and the manager was even ruder than the workers. They completed the service after back and forth and gave me a different oil than I ordered and charged me more for it. There were other people trying to get service there as well and they were treated very rudely as well, the manager told both myself and the other people there to "not come back" and that she "doesn't care." read more

Samir helped me checkout tonight and has helped me a few times in the past. I always find him to be personable and efficient. I have a bunch of kids and therefore require lots of groceries. He does a great job managing the giant cart of groceries I bring up. Samir is a great employee, and he deserves a raise! read more

If you won stock in Walmart, you should know they are showing signs of going under. Unload the stock, Last month I had trouble in Santee and today I had more trouble with the one in El cajon. Two weeks ago I I pulled in for oil, got sent home with they only do appointments now. So I went home got an appointment and waited 10 days. They knew the service I wanted and the oil I needed. Went back for my appointment and it took 30 min. to tell me that I was still #4 behind walk ins? and they did not have the Penn. oil that I needed. The people in front of me complained that the place was closed that morning for lack of help. One person told me they are not allowed to hire help and that products where being changed so they could not even tell me or the person ahead of me what kind of air filter to put in the car. Staff member came out to tell person in charge that Santee was sending customers to them and he responded that they had no way of helping anyone else. Very Sad, but great thing about America, there are other vendors to do the job, just sad the loyal and hard working people of Walmart are over worked with no light at the end of the tunnel. I will now cancel my delivery service and shop at a new Alibi store near by me, now going on line to find oil change. GOOD LUCK read more

This place has to have the most horrible system for the drive and pick up. Literally twice I have waited more than an hour and as I sit and wait, I watch cars come and go and get their stuff. It's like they have no care to just grab whatever they can and just go out the door and take it to any car. I'm surprised that people haven't complained about getting the wrong item brought to the car. I literally asked what is my place in line and all I was told you have to wait I didn't even wanna leave a star that's how bad this place is you literally have to leave at least one star lol read more

This is my usual store but I may have to rethink it after this past experience. Soo many things went wrong... First off, I'm in a leg brace and, when I asked about the mobile carts, the greeter was visibly upset about their arrangements for these carts. She told me that only the guys getting the carts from the parking lot are allowed to give them out. The mobile carts were all taken at the moment so I could either go look myself for one in the parking lot (I'm clearly unable to do that) or I could have a seat until one comes back. Really, Walmart? With as many disabled parking spots as you have, you don't have enough mobile carts? And, by not giving the greeter any ability to manage or see where and to whom these carts were going, you put this person in a bad position - no wonder she was upset! Since I had no clue how long I'd be waiting (how could I?), I grabbed a regular cart and started slowly, but then felt like I had to fight it just to get it to move in a straight direction, which was next to impossible. I figured I'd see one that someone ditched so I kept going, but it begs the question - why is this cart still in with the rest of the working carts? Walking down the laundry aisle, my right shoulder accidentally bumped into one of the racks sticking out and I yelled, "Ow!" The employee two steps away waited for me to walk by - didn't even ask if I was okay. Wow.. that's some courtesy. As I walked and fought my cart looking for shaving cream, I also couldn't find an employee to ask for help. Finally, I decided to go ask the pharmacy staff, who was very helpful in also telling me the exact aisle - I thought. I also fortunately found a ditched cart that I switched to. That said, I couldn't find the aisle because it's tucked away behind a cashier. The only light at the end of this dark and painful (literally) experience was that the self-checkout was quick and easy. read more

Called the store during business hours to try and find out if I can load cash to my venmo app. Pressed "0" for operator.....ring....ring....riiiiiing.....riiiiing........do you get what I'm saying? Yeah, no one ever picked up! That is why I give one star. Because I've been put on hold before (other businesses not Walmart) and they end up just hanging up on you after a set time. read more

This Store is AWFUL. I live close to it, so I go there more often just out of convivence. If I have to get a list of things I go to Sam's Club or Albertson's. The shelves are empty at Camino and things are NOT brought to the Front like other stores. Not a pleasant store to shop at! read more

Although i had a pleasant experience with staff i found a worker named vanessa and she was so rude about me asking a simple question about a certain medicines location. she then stated " right infrint of your face" and when i asked for the case to be unlocked so i would be able to get one she completely ignored me and walked away completely without getting me assistance or helping. CUSTOMER SERVICE DUMPSTER FIRE. Went to this Walmart today and used the self-checkout. It was 7am and they weren't very busy. All the employees looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. The self-checkout assistant was nasty and rude, even going so far as to curse us out for having to help us ("I can't split my body in half! Jesus Christ!"). It's not like we were even pushing on her for help; we knew she was busy with another customer and could see we needed her. We were fine waiting. I was so shocked by her unprofessionalism and it took a minute to believe she was talking to us that way and just oh-so-casually at that. I would've asked for a Manager but given the vibes I saw from all the employees, that person probably couldn't care less. This place needs some serious customer service training. Absolutely the worst customer service each and every time I've been here. I only have to keep coming back because it's the only Walmart within 20 miles that has certain things our family uses. Today I was charged for 110 shopping bags instead of 11 bags. After i pay i see the discrepancy and notify my cashier, she sent me to customer service. Customer service closed at 7pm, it was 8pm. The door checker says go to that lady Brenda she's the manager. I go over to her, she says I'm counting cash right now you'll have to wait 20 min. I said can someone else help me. She said over there, go see Oscar. I walk over to Oscar as she's yelling his name across the store. He yells back "what"? By then I'm walking up to him. I hand him the receipt and let him know ow that i was charged for 110 bags. He forcefully grabs the receipt from my hands. Says "what do you say the problem is" i explain again i was charged for 110 bags. He said how many bags did you use? I said only 11. He said did you use ebt? I said no. He then tells me i have to wait while he calculates the actual cost of the 11 bags. I said sir, 11 bags times $.10 is $1.10. He said oh my god you're complaining over $10? I said wow, that was rude, please get my refund. 10 minutes later i walked out with my change. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I mean i know it's Walmart but this is not okay! read more

Usually like the prices here. But the hardest thing about shopping here is trying to NOT be run over by all the employees who doing the online shopping. They barrel through the store with their giant carts with blue bins staring at their phones as if they are the only ones in the store. They butt in front of you while you are reaching for an item and take that item, and they block access to items with their giant carts while standing in a group apparently gossiping. Have also given up on buying something just because I couldn't reach because the store employee shoppers blocked access with their carts. I have experienced similar issues at grocery stores and understand this is not only happening at Walmart, but those employees do not seem as oblivious about what is going on around them. Am a little surprised i haven't witnessed anyone get knocked over or hurt. read more

I had the most horrible experience with walmart, my parents very loyal walmart customers, they had bought me back in may air frayer and i just opened it to put it in my new home. The item was completely used in discounted way . I want to the store the lady in customer service told me it has warranty call the manufacturer I said do you think the warranty would cover used? She said no, absolutely she want to get me out of her way instead of apologizing and try to assist me, called her manger, I had to wait for him for like 15 min. He showed up to tell me how my team opened every box when they get it back to inspected and no way we sale used items, with no sympathy or any kind of customer service he said I'm following police and there is no way we did that I showed him how it was re seald didn't even looked at it and he said it didn't mean anything and refused to exchange or do anything for me no apologizing he made me feel so bad like i used it and trying to return it. Why is Walmart so frustrating. Is there a rule that says great prices but we're gonna make you pay with the absolute worst service ever? I go in tonight to pick up Mario Kart which is advertised for 39.99. I check the site to see if it's available for pickup and it is so off I go. I get there and it's still listed for regular price so I ask the cashier if they can double check that for me and he tells me it's regular price and they can't match the site. I said ok that's weird it's not a competitor's site, it's your own. I said fine I'll buy it online and then y'all can let me walk with it. I'm told we'll it takes an hour or so for that to go through. At this point I'm not super frustrated but I ask to speak to a manager, after a wait a very young gentleman by the name of Kvon comes over and says he's the manager. His tag says team lead so I say well I'd really like to speak to the manager not a team lead. He says he's the manager......again I say, you're not though because if you were a manager your badge would say manager. I asked him how far we were going to go with this before he went and got a manager. He again tells me he's the manager......I said ok who's your GM and he tells me Michael, I ask if Michaels badge also says team lead. I tried a different approach, and asked for the person who locks up and sets the alarm before leaving......guess what. Kvon in his dirty tshirt and jeans is that guy. I purchased the other items I came in for and left the game behind, if I knew this was going to happen I would've made two stops cause Best Buy had it for the same price. read more

We have a 95 yr old mother we take care of and have to have deliveries to the house. Usually we don't have problems BUT needed groceries and ordered early in Am. Was suppose to get by noon at 4 pm still nothing, 2 calls to customer service and this Walmart doesn't even answer their phones! Manager at this store is horrible, service terrible, shelves not stocked-- Walmart needs to go in and revise, renew, and fire a lot of people!
