I wish there was a 0 stars option. This was my experience at Walmart last night: I needed some discounted paint so I wanted to buy some at Walmart. No one was at the paint booth. A wandering employee walked by several times so my boyfriend asked "do you work in this department?" wandering employee: "no". boyfriend: "well, do you know who does?" employee: "sorry bro. i cant really help you *laughs and walks away*". Next, a very flustered employee seemed to be answering all of the questions that that burn out wasn't answering. She made a call to send someone over to the paint department. No one came. 30 minutes later we asked another employee to call again to send someone to the paint department. After he creepily stared at my chest and said "lets see if we can make another ringy-dingy", he noticed my boyfriend behind me and said "it usually takes awhile for someone to come by" and took off. I know it's a Walmart but COME ON. If I wouldn't have left after an hour of being ignored, surely I would still be waiting. I think it's time for this Walmart to clean up it's act pronto. Oh, and they should hire a paint person. read more

People have already said it, but I'll say it again-this place is an absolute circus! To start things off, it's not entirely well organized so it's often confusing trying to figure out where you can find the things you need. The staff isn't unfriendly, but they certainly aren't friendly either...you can tell that hate their jobs (can you blame them?) What really blows my mind is the fact that despite it being a big store, they seem to ALWAYS be understaffed in the checkout lines-they'll have 2 lanes open for a massive crowd. They have self checkouts but the last time I went I avoided those, as apparently people who go to this Walmart don't know what a line is and just jump in there...no staffing there. In the end I weigh if it's worth going here to get something I need for cheaper...usually it's not. read more

Ever wonder where the fat people in Denver hang out? I've never wondered that question, myself...but the answer is apparently: "The Wal-Mart in Englewood". it's just bizarre how many obese people can be spotted at this joint. Maybe it's the Wienerschnitzel located inside? Nesting in the spot that was once Cinderella City (I think the Garden Dept is even where the awesome Cinder Alley was), this Wal-Mart is unusually tough to get in and out of. The parking lot is more than a little cramped, with tight angles and narrow through-streets running amidst it. The area around the store is striving to be one of those "place making" outdoor shopping centers... so having a large retail outlet like Wal-Mart in the middle of it all seems out of place. Since most folks take shopping carts out of Wal-mart, it doesn't fit in with the pedestrian-friendly complex that lies to the immediate west. For the store itself-- well, it's Wal-Mart. Although I've found that they'll be out of the most random item at times. Just remember that it's not a SUPER Wal-mart. I'll often go in to pick something up and think I can swing by the produce or bakery...but those amenities do not exist here, yet. So I guess this is like a Slightly Better than Normal But Not Super Wal-Mart. read more

Okay so I have to admit the people who come into this WalMart are a bit on the strange side, but that's something I can deal with to save a couple bucks. I wouldn't normally write a review on such a large department store that I feel doesn't treat their employees fair BUT today I went into check out wet vacs and thy had a great selection. But what I was most impressed about was how very nice and helpful everyone was. I think I had about 3 workers ask me how I was doing and if I need help finding anything...which I did so it worked out great. The only negative thing I can say about this WalMart is the shoe organizer selection was sub par, the parking sucks on the weekends and yes the customers are a bit strange. And by the way I did by a bissell quick steamer for 78 bucks and it works great! read more

This WalMart has all of the typical things that make shopping at WalMart annoying. Lots of people. Lots of lines. Self checkouts that don't work all that well. But somehow through all of this it was one of the least hateful WalMarts that I have been to. And I DID find what I was looking for! Faster service could likely be had at the checkouts and especially the MoneyCenter, were they more on their game about having sufficient staffing but this location has good stock and selection. The people that are around are friendly as a general rule, though they never seem to kick it into high gear when they need to. The deli has good sandwiches, and you can usually find one or two on a good discount if you get there early in the day to see what was left from the previous day. There's also a good selection of cheese and meat, and, of course, everything else a regular Walmart department store would have. All in all, it's convenient and I mostly just come in for the deli while cashing my paycheck. Never quite as quick of a visit as I'd like, though. For instance, I composed this entire review while waiting at the front of the MoneyCenter line. read more

I mean the only reason I would ever get on yelp to review a Walmart is to give them a bad review. First words of advice, when someone calls and is asked "which department would you like to be transferred to" sometimes, they don't know. So the customer will ask a qualifying question like "can you help me verify something is in fact in stock like your website claims it is." DO NOT RESPOND, "Well you need to tell me what the item is." The best time to go to this place is in the early hours of the morning. The store is usually quiet and fully stocked as most of the vendors have already visited and filled up their shelves. For the most part, I avoid this place like the plague. The King Soopers off of Broadway isn't much better, but they do have a better selection of produce and meats. If you're looking to stock up on some necessities, then by all means, go here. But if you're looking to maybe walk around some of the aisles and take your time, visit the target just up the street. read more

This review is for the Vision Center ONLY: What a fantastic experience. Not only does it begin with walking into a completely separate door than the main Walmart entrance (although you can get there through the store as well, of course) so there was no typical anxiety I usually have when I must enter the dreaded world of Walmart! I arrived 30 minutes early and was greeted right away by the doctor. I filled out quick paperwork and she took me back with no longer than 2 minutes wait. The exam for contacts, one I have to endure yearly, lasted a whole 15 minutes INCLUDING trying on the new RX and testing them out. The exam was only $90 and included an RX for both glasses and contacts. When I was finished, I popped into the Vision Center Shop and one of the nice ladies tightened up my frames for me in a jiffy and with a smile. I may not be a fan of Walmart as a whole, but they have it right in the vision department. I've gone to many "brand" vision centers and this has, by far, blown them out of the water. Terrible quality shoes. After 4 months of normal to light use, my shoes completely fell apart. They are now filling a landfill instead of providing years of use that actual quality shoes are supposed to provide. A dirty store, filled with low quality crap. Beware the vision center here. Get an exam here but DO NOT get lenses. They screwed 2 pairs of glasses up on me and kept saying i needed to adjust to them. Trust me. Ive adjusted to new scripts before. This was NOT something i could adjust to. They were terribly off. Wouldn't re lens them without a new script because "they're just gonna do the same thing". So i took them to another place to get lenses. Finally found someone who knows what theyre doing. Had to spend twice what i planned to (because they wouldn't fix my problem) but no more headaches and nausea. Again, great exam and doctor...terrible customer service from the frame clerks. They dont care about your health. And they dont listen to the person who actually sees them for what they are...Worthless. read more

This is not one of the best Walmarts I have been too. I came here at like 10 PM a few days ago and there were 2 registers open, and about 20 people in line. Took us a while to get out of there. The front entrance of this Walmart smells like cigarettes. Like someone walked in while smoking. Several times. Not a great smell. The stuff they offer here is pretty much the same as any other Walmart. They had this Dip & Dots knock-off machine in the front of the store which was pretty cool. This Walmart isn't also in a SUPER great area, so it was a little sketchy to be there at night. Walmart is pretty much the same anywhere, but I've definitely been to better Walmarts before.The clothes weren't arranged well, as if they didn't have any workers placing items in their rightful place. Again, this is Walmart. So what do you expect? Best part about Walmart? Low prices and they're open 24 hours. read more

This is the worst store to work for and to go to as a customer. They don't care about their employees, nor do they care about their customers safety and health. They are rude and nasty to people. They don't make anyone wear masks and there is a sign at the door that says it's state law to wear masks before entering but they don't enforce it. The management there are mean and disrespectful. They shouldn't be in a customer service store. This store needs all new management. I went there a few days ago and one of the employees had informed me to please take caution due to there being 2 covid 19 cases and management was trying to hush it up. This store is a mess, they need to come in and replace the management completely. Customer Service? Not in this store, its hard enough finding an employee around the store not to mention the checkout section. The Self-check out an express checkout and only 1 normal checkout, which the line was 15 people deep. Also unless you have to I would avoid this place after sunset. The homeless of the area flock to the entrance, and the customers of this walmart come out of their caves. Some of the weirdest people I have ever seen have been from this store. read more

Super long line at customer service. The only reason I waited was because I'd been overcharged $8 for a box of paperclips at another location (total mistake on Walmart's end) and I happened to be in this area and didn't want to backtrack to the other store. I finally got up to the counter and the attendant refused to return the paperclips because I'd purchased them at another location. It's not uncommon for me to return something at another location, and I'd never encountered this issue before, and when I explained this she then said she could only return it to the card on which it was purchased. Well, it was my husband's card and he didn't happen to be with me, and Walmart has ALWAYS given me cash back on debit purchases, but she insisted that it couldn't be done. Lies, lies, and more lies. At this point, I waited so long and I just needed my $8 back that I asked to speak with the manager. I hate having to do that because I've been the manager at a retail store and I know what it's like, but I didn't feel like I had much of a choice. She called for the manager and when after several minutes the manager still hadn't shown up, she gave me my money back in cash and said, "Don't tell anyone I did this." So, she could have done that to begin with, like any other Walmart location would have done just to keep the growing line down, but she didn't, and it probably irritated everyone else as much as it did me. read more

Unfortunately pulling up to the front there were about 30 bums in front of the building and immediately did not have a good feeling. The area looked clean but until I saw how shady this was and there was a walmart employee standing right at the door, didn't even seem to care the flock homeless in front of his place of employment. Even driving through Detroit at night I never seen masses of bums sleeping in front of a store...but then everything is fenced in with barbed wires. Its Clean and well lit. The employees greet you as you walk by. Prices are cheap but everyone already knows that too. I do like the Proximity to Englewood Light Rail Station. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I bought a 5lb bag of potatoes. After 3 days the potatoes were rotten. Potatoes are meant to last 2 weeks in the cupboard. What a waste of money... I also bought cucumbers which seemed fresh after 2 days they were soggy. I will never shop there again. I am such a big Walmart supporter. My husband and I buy all our groceries there. There are tons of people everywhere and screaming kids, but when you fight your way through the crowds you will find that they are always always always out of stock for whatever you are looking for. And you can forget about trying to be in and out, you will wait in line for an average of 15-20 mins. Too bad there isn't a zero star rating for the pharmacy. Rude pharmacist. It took over an hour to get an Rx. They decided to not fill it when they found the insurance would not cover it. When I got there they told me they had pulled my prescription off the shelf and filled other prescriptions with it. I told them I want it and would pay for it. The obviously didn't want to do that so an hour and several inquires later I finally got my prescription filled. The pharmacist that was so rude turned out to be the manager so no help there. I've been shopping this store for 16 years regularly. I've watched a steady decline in customer service, store cleanliness, safety, appearance & attitude of employees and shoppers. Homeless people hang around outside, and apparently the employee smoking section is an immediate left outside the main door. There's rarely enough handicapped shopping carts. Their produce is old and spoils quickly. Should I need a different size or color, or advertised product... their answer is always "Everything's out on the floor"... apparently it's too much trouble to check in the back. Customer service is non existent, showers for employees and many shoppers as well. It's become so incredibly low class over the years... I have to admit I hate walmart, everything about it in every way. HOWEVER, if I had to choose one to go to, this would be it. It's actually not too bad and I don't come home with mysterious rashes which is a bonus. I've never really liked wal-mart, but this one is awful and had terrible customer service. First, if you're wanting to buy make-up, you have to pay for it in the closed off make-up area. You can't put it in your cart and pay for it with the rest of your items. Second, I bought a 40lb box of cat litter. I asked the lady if she could come over and scan it, and she say NO and that I had to pick it up and set it on the scanner. WTF!!!! I'm never stepping foot in ANY Wal-Mart.
