This Walmart is one of the worst in the DMV and good luck with driving through and managing to get out of this busy parking lot! Multiple people who drive through here will cut you off to make the green light. I have seen many people here also get hurt as people do not pay attention when they back out of here. Store can be unorganized often and lack specific stock as well as being pretty dirty. Go here for the connivence. Highly recommend you park FAR as it will save you the trouble of the horrific parking lot situation. The Walmart at Fair Lakes is much better so if you have the option to I would go there! read more

I wish I could give a zero star rating for the experience that I had on 2/9/21. My father and I were racially targeted and harassed by a female employee for trying to return a product and for some reason she refused and did not want to help us. The whole conversation we had with this female employee was full of rudeness and disrespect. After talking with her and being tired off her disrespect, we asked for a manager. Thankfully the return was processed by that manager. A day later, my father and I are still baffled and shocked by the lack of professional and rudeness that I faced by that female employee. read more

Sometimes you have to take time to acknowledge people for their professionalism and customer service; this is my moment. I would like to applaud the two pharmacists, Ermias and Farshad and their staff for going beyond in making sure that my pharmacy needs are met. First, the pharmacists are professionals and personable. They always have a smile for you as they say hello. The staff will bring a smile to your face even when you are not feeling well. When I think about, I can not recall a pharmacy where I would go out of my way to address my pharmacy needs. The pharmacy located at 11181 Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA is excellent! I mean I don't expect much from WalMarts, like not at all but this one is honestly, TRULY the pits. The entrance/exit is the worst one of all time. It's one way in and one way out which makes it sooooo congested. Parking is ALWAYS tight, no matter what time of day you come. Just park in the back and save yourself some time + get a few extra steps in for the day. The produce is neat and generally not a packed area of the store, everything else on the other hand is tight. Per usual at WalMart, there's a limited # of check-out lanes open and they move slow as all hell. I only come here because of convenience/prices. read more

This is where I do a fair amount of grocery shopping each week. I'm typically looking for deal on gatorade, meats (but organic/grass fed when possible), milk, juices and water, vitamins and bathroom essentials. I do buy lunch meat, fruit and vegetables. This is a usually a one hour shopping trip, but worthwhile as prices are really good. Employees are typically well trained and helpful and usually there are enough cash registers open for the amount of people waiting. Its rare to have to wait too long at that store. Something in the middle of the night they are stocking shelves and its hard to get down some of the aisles. All in all I'm glad that this superstore is here as its a regular visit usually at least once a week. read more

I like this super Walmart and I'm so glad it's close to work and convinent! I've turned to this Walmart a lot in various situations and on numerous days! It's not the cleanest place on the store side, however, I love going in for a quick pick up of office snacks :) they open very early and close late. I don't really think this place deserves much credit. I made a return a few weeks ago and I had to wait at customer service for about half an hour to wait for someone who had rank there to make the return. Tonight I waited in electronics and never received help. I went to customer service and they sent someone over about 10 minutes after my request and then they didn't even have half of their display selection. I ended up not buying a computer which is what I went there for after another hour or 2 wasted at walmart. My suggestion for this place is to get a grip on the theft that is going on here and start taking care of the customers that are actually here to buy stuff and maybe you should stop looking and treating your paying customers like they are more than just thieves. I literally feel like this place treats their customers like no good thieves. They get a 2 star from me. read more

Absolutely horrible. First off, it is not a super store. It may be , at best, half the size of the Fairlakes location. It's 12:00am and there are 2 registers open with a minimum of 7 people per line taking forever to get checked out. Meanwhile, they closed their 10 self checkouts. All they would have to do in order to provide adequate customer service is to have 1 employee on a register and 1 employee watching the self checkouts. Instead I have to wait 20 minutes to be checked out. This is a poorly managed location. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever had contact with. It is impossible to reach a human to speak to when you call no matter what day or time. I was put on hold and after 30 minutes I finally hung up. That happened two times. Another time I was transferred to someone who picked up and put me on hold until I hung up after holding for 15 minutes. A fourth time I was transferred and a person told me that a manager would call me back. Of course never heard from them. Tried again and went through the same thing, never called me back. If you have a complaint, do not let them know until you are speaking to a manager, otherwise you will never reach anyone. I should've said I had such an amazing, wonderful experience that I needed to pass my praise on to a manager--then I bet I would have spoken to someone. This was a stop on our trip and I do not live nearby and cannot show up in person. read more

Terrible customer service by Haydee, the supervisor and she is racist. I was trying to buy AirPods in store. The price through Walmart.com was cheaper. Haydee told me Walmart is trying to compete against Amazon and I have to buy it online to get the discounted price. If I ordered online, it said it was going to take a few hours before my item is ready for pickup even though I had it at the register already. She didn't want to price match from walmart.com because they are competing against Amazon -- that makes NO SENSE TO ME. A white male ahead of me got price match but I didn't. I talked to another associate, Chucksie, in electronics and he was able to price match without hesitation. Haydee should not be supervisor and does not know how to talk to customers. This is the worst Walmart that I have been to. I always encounter racism at this store. The short Manager of the store told me to shut up. I went to the Grab & Go line which I was told that I had to go to a register, because I had too many items. I had large items, this really upset me because there is not sign up stating that you have to go to a register. These are foreign employees that try to make me feel as thought I am beneath them. While this pandemic is going on you are allow to get one or two items of the same. I was shopping for the store that I work for, my manager and myself. I was told that I couldn't get a certain amount of items. I explained to them that I was making three different transaction and showed them the three different Credit Cards that I was using. I wouldn't had a problem with going back in the store for a second time if they weren't so rude. It was another customer in the store that was a foreign, he had a cart full of toilet paper and paper towels, nothing was said to him at all. I did get very loud, because all people should be treated with the same respect. The only reason that I go to this location is because it's close to m y first job. You do have some nice employee's, but that manager and the older gentleman that's normally working at the Go & Grab line needs to go. I only go to this Walmart because it's close to where I live. For months, I've been going on Tuesday mornings at 6 AM during senior hours. I don't think they ever opened the double doors on time. Every week, a group of us is waiting outside, sometimes in the rain and snow due to physical distancing. I've waved, knocked on the glass and tried going through the exit doors. The Walmart associates basically ignore us because it's not their job. A white-haired gentleman comes to flip a switch on each set of doors to let us in. He works at the self-checkout section. Today, he opened the doors at 6:10 which is ridiculous. How hard is it to put the doors on a timer and have them open automatically? A guy who I thought was coming to unlock the doors this morning made a right turn to go into the electrical room. I couldn't find a manager and of course, no one answers the phone. During those months, he mumbled sorry only once for opening the doors late. Once inside, it doesn't get much better. The personal shoppers take all the blue baskets and are in every aisle with their super-size carts. Why can't they fill their carts in the stock room instead of taking over the entire store? Walmart is supposed to have the best inventory management system so it should be easy to manage the items and fill customer orders. When I couldn't find an item, I don't ask associates anymore. I just go online and order for pickup. However, my orders sometime get canceled because the items are not available. Sadly, I will continue to shop at this Walmart for milk, bread, and eggs. read more

This has to be the absolute worst WalMart I have been to; EVER. The employees are rude and are more concerned with congregating between isles to have personal time than they are to assist you in finding any items you may need. When you DO ask them for assistance, you are answered with an eye roll and a deep sarcastic sigh.... OOHHHHH I'm sorry to pull you away from your daily gossip to ASK YOU TO DO YOUR JOB! On top of the customer service severely lacking, the store never seems to be clean. Yes; I know, insert WalMart joke here. But the new Wally World near my home in Haymarket is bright, clean, fully stocked and neatly organized. Here I am afraid that I will catch a staph infection simply from walking down the isles. Real life examples in addition to the one previously mentioned. Cashier scanning purchases (Ms. Young) - scans 4 boxes of light bulbs borderline slamming them onto the top of the revolving bag holder. After box 3, I point out that they are light bulbs and we should probably be a little more careful. She says, "You want to get different one?" and scans and slams last box. I will never go back! I will purposely hit the WalMart or Target by my house on the way into work should I need anything. NOTHING is worth the annoyance and frustration that this establishment ensures. read more

I headed to the electronics department after picking up some other needed items where I couldn't find the two movies that I was looking for. No, I am not an idiot, the movies were not where they were supposed to be and their weren't on an end-cap either. It is impossible to find any help in a Walmart, you just CAN'T find anyone. I finally found a guy to help me out and I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE WORD he was saying. Not a SINGLE word. Listen, if you are going to hire an employee to work at an American store in America. Please be sure that your associates are able to communicate with their customers. This guy didn't have even the slightest grasp on our language, and he mumbled really bad anyway. This runs over to their cashiers as well, who are so incredibly slow you want to ask them if you can take over. I left my cart full of crap right there in the middle of the store and walked out. I headed to the Kmart that has been across the street since the late 60's where I've never had a single issue in my entire life. I'll say it again because it is worth repeating. Came in looking for a couple of items, and could not find what I was looking for. Sales people were nowhere to be found, and everything was not where it was suppose to be. Standard run of the mill Walmart. Nothing special to write about. It has a grocery section and it is smaller in comparison to some other Walmart's I have been to. The staff is okay. I don't like that they have a Speedy Checkout but don't enforce the 20 item limit. What is the point of having a limit if you're not going to enforce it? I stood in line with one item while the person in from of me had 35+ items. This doesn't equal a "Speedy Checkout." Other than that, like any Walmart, they usually have what you need. This location is closest to my house and I have had great experiences here. The parking lot is spacious and the employees are quite friendly. I usually try to find Fatima in the 15 or less Lane because she is so friendly. I recently started using pickup and Raqueeb has been so friendly and helpful out there. This location always has clean bathrooms and a clean environment overall. The workers have always been friendly to me. They have a good selection of a wide variety of items. It is nice to finally have a Walmart in Fairfax. I only give this Walmart three stars because it is a very small Walmart. If you're looking for the normal selection of a Walmart, you still need to go to Fairlakes. This Walmart is considered an "express" Walmart. It does not have an outdoor nursery. Purchased a patio set from Walmart online app and was defective. I started the return process online as was requested by the app which prompted me to return the merchandise back to any Walmart store. Upon doing so at this Walmart, they refused to return the patio set and the managers were rude and not helpful whatsoever. They forced me to take back all 7 boxes back to my car and to handle the return process with a third party! This review is directed to the pharmacy and not about the store. Their pharmacy staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. They really seem like they care and that is rare to find these days. The head pharmacy manager ( I forget his name but will update) is a very caring, nice, knowledgable man. He really went out of his way to check on some issues I had been having with my medication. Nobody else had taken the time or cared enough to do that and he did it without me even having to ask. You know so often we leave reviews when things have gone wrong and I feel it is important to recognize and highlight the people going out of their way and just being caring people.
