You know, Walmart. You don't have to follow the stereotype of being a sentient flaming hot pizza garbage fire. But yet, you do. Choices. TL;DR: Don't use their online grocery service Here's a tale of how I thought, "Let's try this grocery service." I mean you get to pick all your stuff from the comfort of your phone/browser and then they delivery or come out to your car. It's cheaper than Amazon Fresh and Instacart. SURELY they want to stay competitive and can pass off as even halfway acceptable. Surely. I picked an early morning delivery slot for Thanksgiving groceries that's supposed to be within an hour time frame. 10 minutes before the end of my time frame I use the chat service because I need to know what's going on. I got work to go to. Dogs. Husband. Bowel movements that are more important than sitting with NO UPDATE AT ALL what's going on. They tell me that it should be there within 15 minutes. I ask why they don't update the website or know where the driver is and they state "they don't work for us." Yea ... but they're contractors of your store/corporation. Ok 5 minutes after what I expected -- doable. Now 20 minutes after with no update on the website, email, phone call... ok I chat again and they cut off the chat. I call the store...and get put on perma hold then hung up on. Great. I get someone else and cancel the order because I am now 30+ minutes running late that even then right then... would be ok because it's Thanksgiving. Alas. It was not meant to be. I share a very respectful, level-headed survey response, stating that the experience was subpar. I have worked in retail, customer recovery, etc. and I know it can be a tough jam. But my card is now being declined when I'm trying to order from Amazon Fresh because of their authorization (I called the bank they told me that the store either has to release it or contact them directly through billing). Thanks Walmart. I get a phone call from a Walmart rep and they help me figure it out. He seemed very genuine and offered me a code. I reorder to pick-up to grab on the way home. Ok. No email stating that the order is ready 5 minutes past pickup. I'm not going to drive in traffic to sit in limbo. I hit them up again to see what's going on. The website has no update. So I asked what time my order is going to be ready or what's going on. I thought the pickup timeframe was for ME to go during that timeframe because that's what the website says. It literally says "Pickup Time" not "Prep Time." The rep straight up says, "I don't know." Right. So I ask them to find out. 15 minutes later "It's ready now." Ok. I tell them that the app still says "Delayed" so I can't tell them when to come out. They tell me they don't know what to do because they never even seen the app. Good thing you're the point of contact as help for this SPECIFIC help section for this SPECIFIC service. I proceed to explain that you're supposed to use the app in order to tell them when to come out. Then they tell me that they're coming out now with my groceries. Sigh. I explain that I'm not there. Then they reply with, literally, "So much hate." Right back at you, friend. There's a SERVICE FEE for them to come out to your car. Other markets have the service where you can walk in and pick up your order and no service fee. I have no problem walking in at that point but then don't charge me. I arrive. Go inside. They tell me it's going to be 20 minutes. Wait. Wasn't it just ready? Weren't they all good to go? Nope. No. Nein. Nyet. Iie. And then guess what... The system is down. They can't even check it out. Un-fucking-real. They then graciously offer that I can wait and they have no idea when they will be able to check me out. Oh ok. Moral of the story. If you love simultaneously forming and popping haemorrhoids, use this service. If you like having unprofessional service, use this service. If you like being hung up on, call this store. If you want the classic rage inducing experience of going to Walmart, go to this Walmart. read more

I visited this location Monday night around 7:30. I was looking to purchase a large BBQ. The young man staffing the garden center was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. He provided helpful information and answered all of my questions. My plan was to head home and order the top of the line BBQ on Walmart's website... Upon attempting to exit, a presumed (Latino) manager, locked the door literally as I was attempting to vacate. I asked if he minded if I exited before he locked it, and he told me to walk all the way around. Due to his lack of customer centric mindset, and smart ass response, i decided to purchase my BBQ else where...and even paid more for the same model, just so I didn't give Walmart my hard earned money. read more

Worst Walmart experience of my life!!!! The cashiers have no sense of urgency and very little people skills. When I entered the store the greeter, a young dark haired girl, barely acknowledged me then half mumbled a hello as though my presence in the store was some unbelievable burden to her. Yes there prices are great but their service is terrible. I made a purchase of around 100$ including one case of beer that I showed my ID and legally purchased. After I completed my transaction they noticed my boy friend was with me and demanded to see his ID. He didn't have it as he left his wallet at home. At this point the cashier forcefully removed my case of beer from my cart that I had ALREADY PAID FOR and refused to let me take it. Both of us were well over 21. I was livid the cashier named Chuck was so rude to me and literally stole items from my cart. I ended up having to get a refund because they wouldn't allow me to have it and I left and angry mess. I was so distraught by the ordeal I was shaking. Absolutely no way to interact with a customer. read more

Workers are very lazy. I called for customer assistance for a locked product and waited for 12 minutes. No one came to help and I gave up. The cashier I went to was slow and looked tired during the afternoon. I told her no plastic bag and she still charged me for a plastic bag. She apologized, but she still took time off my day. I bought a pair of thigh highs, but they were not to my liking. I hope that this Walmart straightens up their act. read more

I immigrated to California from the land of Wal-Mart (aka the South). Down there they have Super Walmarts which are a bit nicer (hard to be much worse!) and sell groceries for prices comparable to Ralph's. I don't come here much, I'm more of a Target kinda gal, but we normally stop in to get my son an ICEE and shoot the poo on the way back from Pita Grill. Today I found a food processor on clearance for $9 bucks! Reminds me why I waste time here! The prices are cheap and the service...well.. the guy who gives the kiddos the smiley face stickers is nice. Side Note: Be sure to wash your hands when you get home! I can't believe how easy it was to order online for pickup at Foothill Ranch! I've never done it before. The app on your phone walks you through the entire process. If I can do it, anyone can! You place your order online. It tells you have until early in the morning of the pickup time you select in to either cancel or add on to your order. The app will notify you when your groceries are ready for pickup On the day of pickup, you "checkin" on the app so they know you are on your way. Once you arrive and park in the "orange" section of the parking lot, the app will ask you which number slot you are parked and what color car you are driving. Then someone will come out to verify the order. All this is contactless, the windows are rolled up. When they go back in to get your groceries, you open your trunk. They will load it and let you know if you're aware of any shortages or substitutions. Once you are good, they will close your trunk and off you go. Unbelievably fast, efficient and easy. The guys who bring the groceries out are very nice. They are masked and gloved. Couldn't ask for a better experience!!! One thing I have to add....they don't pick your grocery order until the morning of pickup. You may see that something is in stock at the time you placed your order. They may be out of it that morning. You have the choice to "hit" the substitute button online for the items you don't mind getting a substitute if they are out of stock. Very easy peasy!!! read more

I went to Walmart tonight to buy a shark mop/vacuum. They keep them locked in a case. I asked four different employees including the guy who works in the electronic department near it if anyone can open the case and each one said no. They didn't evenbother to find somebody that could they just kept walking. The electronics guy said I needed to go to the front of the store to customer service to tell them I needed to get into the case I asked him if he could call someone and he said no. I end up going to the front of the store and have to wait in line with 10 people that were trying to return product in order to talk to somebody about opening the case. When I finally reached the front of the line about 20 minutes later the guy pages someone to meet me at the vacuums. After waiting another 15 minutes at the vacuums nobody shows up. I go back to the front of the store and tell Customer Service that nobody ever showed up. He says well I paged somebody and I said did anybody ever answer and he said no but I paged somebody they should have come. He paged someone again but they never answered. He told me he needed to keep helping the people in line so he couldn't help me. I left without buying a $359 vacuum. These guys are total idiots. Every employee that walked by me at the vacuums and I asked for help was walking around in a coma. Where do you find this kind of help and why doesn't the electronics guy have a frickin key??? Do you not trust any of your department leads? I've never seen anything like it. A message to all morons.... Walmart is hiring!!! read more

Pros: - fresh produce with a large assortment - large assortment of breads and pastries - huge grocery section of meats, sodas, frozen foods, etc... - people are nice at the customer service desk in the back of the store - clean bathrooms - subway is always delicious Cons: - cashiers are very slow to check out, they might need to hire younger people that are quick on their toes. A lot of the cashiers are turtles running a race :-) - there is a really weird guy that stocks the kids toy section, you can just tell he creeps people out. Just like most other locations except it is in a slightly nicer side of town versus a lot of the other walmarts out there. Good prices but cheap quality of material on many items unless and sometimes still if they are from major brands. The people in here are a bit higher quality and classier than some others I see come through the other walmarts, that is just my opinion though! read more

We come here all the time for groceries and we like the deli deal they have where you get a pound of deli meat and half a pound of cheese for 9 bucks. They have a very good variety of foods and the prices for meats are good. DOn't ever come here at night hoping to get ice cream though cause the ice cream area is usually empty for some reason not sure why but it has been that way numerous times. They have self check outs lanes which is nice if your not doing major shopping. Plus htis one is super clean compared to others in the area. read more

So I call the store to check on a dash cam that I want to buy for my daughters birthday. They say "yes" ... we have 3 in stock. So I drive the 37 miles to the store. I go to the department that sells the dashcams and there are zero on the shelf ... a store employee looks at their inventory on his phone ... "Yes ... we have 3 ... but .. if they are not on the shelf then they have been stolen". So ... no dash cams cuz they were all stolen. Yep ... he spent the next 3 or 4 minutes explaining to me how there is a lot of theft at the store and that's why their inventory is off. Ok ... on to the micro SD card that u put inside the dash cams ... I go to that department and I ask ... where r the SD cards? The store employee says "Over there" ... so I go over there ... and I find them ... but u can't buy them because they are locked up. So I go back to that department and speak to the same store employee and said "Why didn't you tell me they were locked up and that you have to come with me?" ... she said " I don't have a magnet" ... yep ... that's it ... said nothing else ... no more words ... just stood there looking at me ... I said " I don't have a magnet either" ... I said " So who has a magnet?" ... she said "I don't know" ... so that was that. So I stop by and have a quick chat with the store manager ... who didn't hear a word I said ... she was too busy looking around and paying attention to other things while I was talking to her. So ... I left the store and went to the parking lot and sat in my car ... pulled up Amazon and ordered a dash cam and a SD card to be delivered the next day. So what's my lesson here ? Stop shopping at brick & mortar stores ... it's not worth the hassle ... buy everything online. read more

***CONSUMER ALERT*** The vision center at Wal-mart in Foothill Ranch is a scam. They will charge you for all these fees that they don't tell you about. I went there for an eyeglass appointment and they fitted me with contacts too and I did not want that. They came up with these additional charges to come back and get refitted for contacts that they did not have in stock. Overall service was very poor and misleading. Watch out. read more

This Walmart deserves a HUGE shoutout for the AMAZING way that they handled the rush of patrons this morning trying to get basic supplies (toilet tissue, paper towels, and bottled water) during the Coronavirus Experience. They organized all of those items at the front of the store, and allowed each customer just one of each. They communicated the procedure well before we were granted entrance, and employees were so helpful just to place what you asked for in your cart. This clear plan helped everyone to relax and calmly do their shopping with respect for one another. Thank you Walmart Foothill Ranch!!! read more

I usually have good service at this Walmart and the prices are a steal if you are able to deal with crowds of people. During Thanksgiving, I went shopping for some Asti to bring to dinner and my little sister was with me. Because she was with me, I could not buy alcohol. The lady was standoff-ish and rude. Going through a remodel right now so the parking is kinda meh. When you walk in it does kind of seem very overwhelming with displays right up in your face. It doesn't give off the impression of a clean store like you might expect to see in say Target. Honestly I only went here because I was out with a friend and they needed an item. If I had needed the same item I would have gone to the target down the street. Avoid this location for now. After the remodel it may turn itself around so check back then. read more

They have done a lot of work to this store and why not, it's not like its big enough as is. haha! the parking lot is huge and even if you park really far back and you know there's a lot of people in the store, it doesn't feel like it once you are inside. I like it, its clean and spacious. You don't feel like you are going to ram into anyone and feel claustrophobic. and really, you just don't see the "people of wal-mart" like you see in the photos on the web. prices are comparable to target, some things are less, some more. depends on what you are there for. i find the grocery items cheaper but other items more expensive in comparison but it depends on what you are looking for. read more

I come here for their great deals, mostly on movies, but also for anything else I might be looking for. I'll usually check out Target, Wal-Mart, and Best Buys when I'm looking for a movie. If all three places are carrying it, Wal-Mart will usually have it for the best price. Sometimes this isn't true during a sale at any of the other two but Wal-Mart has it all. Groceries, Beer, clothes, survival gear, BB guns, you name it! God forbid you need help in the back of the store though. They barely have enough cashiers to check you out, you will NEVER get help if you're picking up something from the Site to Store area at night. They take EBT here too! read more

I'm really happy they opened a Walmart here. It's on the way home from work for me and its very convenient. I've been to a lot of Walmarts and this is the cleanest one so far and it's HUGE? They have a lot of items for you to choose from. I also really like the high ceilings; it makes the store feel much more spacious. Really really bad customer service people here at the store. They definitely don't understand their own inventory , policies, Walmart pay. Each person you speak to gives you a different answer. I bought a kids bike and later found out price online was lower. It was out of stock online though. I checked with one person in yellow vest. She said I can price even though the item is out of stock online. I got the cycle inside to price match. Later that lady disappeared and another lady now tells me I can't. I mean come on how can you work here and don't know the policies. The manager at this store needs to train his people better. We aren't coming back here. A one stop shop with a market for produce, meats and all but the produce is quite expensive. Seriously Navel oranges for $0.68 EACH!?!? I mainly go here for the Almond Milk and Hormel lunch meats at $2.98 each. The movie sized boxed candy is also a great deal at $0.98 each! You can stock up and stash them in your purse when you head over to the movies. ;) I love that they have Drew Barrymore's affordable FLOWER make up line here and the easy return policy on make up since you're unable to try on the make up. This store is pretty neat and organized without the crowds. I wish that some of the workers that I have encountered be a little more knowledgeable of the products and helpful with telling me where something is located since it's such a massive store any non-regular Walmart shopper would get completely lost in! read more
