I find Carlos the managers behavior bizarre, especially when he acts as a "Mentor" for young female employees and gets extremely defensive when their boyfriends show up for any reason, one time I went inside the store to give my girlfriend who was working there personal feminine hygiene products that she needed, I noticed she was lifting extremely heavy boxes by herself and was visibly struggling , as I was asking her why no one was helping her at all ,Carlos immediately showed up around the corner as if he was keeping tabs on her and came straight up to me and told me to leave in a way as if he was trying to assert dominance (as ridiculously as that sounds) , he then circled around the aisles watching to see if I was still around. I saw they had a Wetzels pretzels and thought oh that sounds great. I'm gonna get that. Normally you only get those when you go in the mall. Bad move. Literally $10 for some hard hot dog bites and cheese sauce. These were ROCK hard. I went back in and asked for a refund. Worst customer service. The auto care center is the worst. Very bad management lazy employees, most of them don't even know what are they doing. They sell you the road hazard warranty, after getting a flat I got there around 11 am to get it fixed, they told me I have to make an appointment cause they are fully booked can't take my car in for they day. The manager was hiding behind the counter and telling an employee they can't repair a flat tire which takes 15 min tops to repair. So I made an appointment for next day I came in 15 min prior to my appointment they signed me up and they took my car for service 2 hours after my appointment I end up staying almost 3 hours. But you can't tell that because they don't actually update the order one line & all their texts force you online. After hours on the phone over 3 days they tell me to call the store - who never answers the phone!!! Not the online order desk, operator - or even customer service when I finally called electronics and got a human. This manager should be fired that's unacceptable!! Their only solution at the central customer service (after you finally get a human) is to REFUND my order, make me wait 7-10 days to get my money back, and make me order all over again. Walmart auto attempted to defraud me. Don't let it happen to you! If you've ever bought a car battery from Walmart, this review is for you. Based on the battery you bought, you will either have a 1yr, 2yr, or 3yr warrantee. This is a REPLACEMENT warrantee, it is not prorated, but the Walmart associates may tell you otherwise, so don't be fooled. This happened to me yesterday... had to jump the truck this morning to get the kids to school. Headed to the Foothill Ranch store afterwards with my tools to swap it out. After confirming the battery I needed was in stock and finding my old receipt to confirm my existing battery was still under its 3yr warrantee, the man at the automotive counter initially told me the warrantee was just prorated and that the battery would have to be tested before the warrantee could be processed. He said I would only get a few bucks back off the purchase of my new battery and made it sound like it would be a difficult thing. I was surprised but said "well, a few bucks is better than nothing", and also shared that I was surprised a 3yr battery would cost more than 3x a 1yr if the warrantee was structured that way. He told me "yeah, I've been working here for (a long time, I think he said 18yrs, don't remember for sure but it was def not just a few) and 'they' changed the policy because too many people were just swapping out batteries (that failed under warrantee)". Well, I needed a new battery and didn't want to pay the core fee so I proceeded back out to my truck to get the old battery, grabbed my old receipt and brought both back in. While I waited in the service line I noticed the sign on the desk (see pic) that clearly indicates that the warrantee is good for a replacement in kind. As he started processing the prorated warrantee based on my purchase date, I pointed it out to him. He didn't object or indicate any sort of surprise, he just said something to the effect of "ok, well we'll have to test it then". It tested bad, of course, and so then he had to do a little more on the computer, and then go get his manager, presumably for approval. Said manager came out, reviewed the receipt, and quickly approved the replacement. No arguments, just hit the approvals and headed back towards where he had come from. I ended up getting my replacement battery, but I can only think of two reasons why he would have lied to me about this. Either he just didn't want to take the 5 extra minutes to actually process the warrantee with the test and getting his manager, or him or the dept is incentivized not to have warrantee claims. Either is crap, the second is more significant imo bc that's a systemic issue. When I told my wife about it she was like "wow- I totally would have just taken his word for it and paid the $180 for a new one". That's why I'm sharing this review. My bet is she's not the only one who would do this and that others have been ripped off by Walmart's auto warrantee (and maybe other depts too). Pisses me off to consider how many people have potentially been screwed out of $100s of dollars by these shady practices. I spoke with customer service and contacted the market manager's office to share what happened. I'm expecting a call from the market manager today. If you've ever gotten a "prorated" warrantee return for your Walmart battery, would you please PM me? And if you have a Walmart battery, save your receipt in your vehicle glove box, and make sure you get a replacement if yours goes bad within the warrantee period. read more

Well today, my opinion has change! I had the opportunity to use their Pick Up Service. Christmas 2019, Walmart came out with these beautiful Jumbo Christmas Lights. Its 8 lights in a box for$20.00. They are adorbs! Multi colors. Each bulb is as big as your hand. They are new this year. I bought 2 boxes at Laguna Niguel. I came back the next week... SOLD OUT! Went to Irvine Walmart... SOLD OUT!!! Went on line! This store had it! Bought it immediately on line and did the pick up option. Got a text the next day to pick up. Followed the Bright Orange Signs for Pick Up. There is a number that you call so they can deliver to ur car. This young sweet man told me he will get my items. Usually for these items its pick up inside and that the pick up is usually for groceries. It was raining. He was so kind to get them for me. I did tip. But I only had a buck on me... Customer service is not dead. I tried calling the store today, 8/11/22, looking for help with an item I wanted see if they had in stock. The first time I called, I was put on hold, transferred and transferred 3 more times, then they disconnected me. Frustrated, I called back to speak with a manager. The guy answered and tried to get me to "leave a message" for a manager to call me back. I did not accept. Call me Karen, but I needed help NOW. The guy on the phone identified himself as William and said that he was the operator. He ask how he could help me and promised to call me back once he found the item. Ordered online for pickup. Waited for 50 minutes at the store for my items in vehicle pickup. After all this time, they came to deliver the items for the person who was in the parking spot before me. I asked how much longer for my items and the employee advise likely way longer than 20 minutes. Don't advertise this time as the "less busy" time and make me wait over an hour. Eventually couldn't wait any longer and left. Canceled on the app but couldn't verify it went through. The whole process was stupid. If it's gonna take an eternity let me know beforehand. Ever since the one next to the Del Taco in Irvine shut down I have to come here to get stuff, but I'm slightly more fine with it because I have encountered no low end beggars here whenever I come here. I have, however, encountered other solicitors previously, but not recently. They have two self checkout areas. It is enough room for getting in and out quickly as I don't want to waste time inside, but this visit took way longer than normal. God I hate this place, I really should pay more and just go to Target. Today, we were ringing up three orders. Mine, my girlfriends and another for a person with a brain tumor. The person working the self check out corral, very obviously kept coming up and watching us ring everything up, then going back and whispering to two other associates. The "Greeter.....door security" the second we started moving came up and stopped us demanding my receipt, I told her no, I was already irritated from having the corral person stand right behind me and eye ball my transaction the entire time. Keep in mind, we were 15 to 20 feet from the door, she did this to no one else, and all the while, hispanic and customers of color walked straight out the door, this was obvious we were targeted. She then pro-ceded to walk with me staring at me like she was notating every feature for her big police report..............you know, for the $1.18 clearance hanger theft ring. We went out and loaded our truck and came back in. Spoke to a manager that was very nice, we walked over so I could point out the two associates. The one that targeted us, was sitting on her backside NOT checking anyone else's receipt. Once she saw us with the manager, she got off her butt and started stopping everyone. This reeks of profiling. The person in the corral, only stood by us, one of the Asian customers, I wonder what the common denomination was, oh, she was Asian. The person at the door, until she saw a manager, didn't stop anyone else. The manager did say they have to check all receipts as they have had walk outs, well, funny thing, we came in the other door twice, not one single person was stopped. In a perfect world, there would be a Walmart Supercenter in West Los Angeles/Santa Monica area. There are no Walmarts at all here big or small, just overpriced CVS and a few expensive City Targets. I shop in Walmart when I visit Orange County. Long ago when I lived in Arizona there was a Walmart all over the place, but the brainless LA City Counsel somehow thinks Walmart is evil. Walmart tried a few times to get permits from LA City to build but LA gave them "the business" as they say in NYC and Walmart stopped trying. Now everyone takes their money out of Los Angeles City to South Bay or Orange County to shop Walmart or to Amazon to shop. And if you shop in Orange County the sales tax is 2.5% LESS than LA! Yea. You heard me right. What does LA do with the 2.5% more sales tax? They use it to hire lawyers to keep Walmart out of LA. This Supercenter is the best. They have a large excellent clothing department too. If you are not familar with Walmart's George line of clothes--check them out. My George sport Jacket from Walmart I got years ago gets the most compliments. George dress shirts are also a good value. The store was so empty and pleasant to shop in on a Sat Afternoon. I USED to LOVE this Walmart and would drive all the way up here from Irvine just to avoid the Irvine Walmart's because I thought the people who worked here were SOOOO much nicer than the people who worked in the Irvine stores...boy was I wrong! So I was standing in the makeup aisle and I noticed this big black guy standing next to me on his phone but didn't think much of it. Then I went to the next aisle over and thought it was strange that he followed me and started walking up to me. Then after a few minutes of standing there, frantically typing on his phone, he goes, "So you were here the other night with some guy in a mustang." I looked around to make sure that he was talking to me. I said, "Um, no... I always come here by myself." He said, "Yeah, the guy didn't come in, you walked out to him. He was waiting in the parking lot." "Um...noooo, I don't even KNOW anyone in a Mustang. I can wait here while you check the cameras..." he said, "No. it's ok, go on with your shopping." By the way, our entire conversation, he only looked up from his phone ONE time. Lol. And he NEVER ASKED me, he TOLD me that I was there with some guy in a Mustang. So I went on with my shopping trip and on the way up to check out, I saw him again. (He was a plain-clothed undercover security guard) I stopped and said, "Did you look at the cameras?" And he said, "No. Why would I do that?" I said, "So you can see it wasn't me." He said, "You already told me that." I looked at him with a shocked look for a few seconds before saying, "Yeah, I'm kind of waiting for an apology..." and he said, "Why would I apologize for asking you a question?" I was sooooo livid. I just said, "Wow." And walked away. I called corporate the next day and told them what happen, and I haven't seen him there since that night. Before that night, he used to always come up and talk to me and my daughter and tell me how cute she was and stuff, so idk if he was getting me confused with someone else cuz he didn't realize it was me since my daughter wasn't with me this night or what. But I bawled my eyes out the whole way home. Like how dare he say that to me?! I was NOTHING but nice, when I COULD have gone off on him right then and there and caused and caused a huge scene! Lol. THEN I went in there AGAIN, to return something and while I was standing in the return line, I was looking at my receipt and noticed that the guy who rung me up, price matched a toy that was significantly cheaper online, but never took the original scanned store prices item off. So I was charged twice for one item! So the kid at the return counter helped me and gave me my money back for the second charge of one item. THEN his manager came up and said, "I need the item." I said, "I don't HAVE the item." And I explained it to her, but she didn't want to listen and just kept saying, "I don't know what you mean, I need the item that your returning." I was like, "Do you want me to go get one off the shelf for you? This wasn't a purchase that I made today and I JUST REALIZED I was charged twice right now." She's like, "Nevermind, just forget it." So I did. Then I asked the kid if I could do an exchange. He said, "No. Returns only." So I said, "Ok, well I guess that I need to return this tablet then. It's not working and the company said to just return it and get another one, but I got it at a different Walmart for cheaper than the tag price." So I returned it and found another one on the floor and brought it back to the return counter to see if they could price match it for the one I had just returned not 20 minutes earlier. Of course the kid who helped me was gone and his manager who wouldn't listen to me before had taken his place. So I was trying to explain that I had just returned the EXACT same tablet a few minutes ago, and if she could price match them? She said, "No. you didn't." I was like, "What do you mean? Yes. I did. Can you go look for it?" She said, "No. i already did. It's not there." I was like, "What do you mean it's not there? I literally JUST returned it 20 minutes ago!" She's like, "No. you didn't. Wow, it's been a long time since I saw so many people in one place?! Stopped on my way to a family gathering and had an odd list of things people had forgotten. Upon entering there were no carts so many were in use, so I foraged in the parking lot. Once inside it felt like chaos but impressively there was always someone in sight to direct me to exactly where I needed to go for everything! It saved me so much time and kept me from having to wade through hoards of people. For sure, I thought check out would be forever but again delightfully surprised. One person in front of me and every employee including the register lady were so pleasant and helpful as if there weren't a zillion people there. I normally don't go to Walmart but the customer service was really great, every single thing I needed was in stock, definitely spent less than elsewhere .... I had a horrible experience today at Walmart. I had purchased 4 packs of bacon the morning of Thanksgiving for a Friendsgiving brunch. As I started to cook, I noticed one pack of bacon had expired on August 18. WTH?! Today I took my receipt back in and attempted to explain to the manager, Diane, the problem. Although she did return my money, she told me she didn't believe me because they were audited weekly and that could never happen. She wouldn't even let me get a word in edgewise. She was so rude! One of the nicer Walmarts I've been in. Clean, organized and plenty of cashiers. The grocery section had produce and meat that looked fresh and delicious which is usually not the case at other Walmarts I've been to. The meat prices weren't so great compared to a regular grocery store but otherwise Walmart, as can be expected, had lower prices on almost everything. They have great prices on "less-than-stellar-but-not-bad" wines. My cashier was friendly and funny as were a couple other employees I interacted with. You will see plenty of Walmarty people shopping here (you know what I mean) but that just adds to the fun of your shopping adventure! read more
