After a terrible experience trying to get a prescription filled at the Grayslake Jewel-Osco late last night using a GoodRX coupon I went to this Walmart this morning and had a very good experience with their professional pharmacy staff. They didn't have enough of the meds on hand to fill my whole prescription, but they gave me enough pills to carry me over until their new supply arrives at the end of the week and took the coupon without question. I've never been a Walmart shopper, but I will be a Walmart pharmacy patron from now on. read more

Today my doctor sent my prescription to Walmart Pharmacy at 11:00am. I went to pick it up at 5:00pm and the young lady who worked at Pharmacy told me that I have to wait half an hour as they were busy. She did apologize for the late, that young lady was polite.So I don't mind to wait even though I don't understand why they need to take six and a half hours to process just one small bottle of my medicine. After half an hour I went back, another mature woman with brown hair, I don't know her name because she didn't put her name tag on her uniform . Her attitude made me uncomfortable, it seems like she has no patience during our conversation, I was very angry. After I picked up the medicine, I heard that she said I did not treat her well ! If the people don't respect you, how can I treat her well ?? I will never come again to their Pharmacy ! It's terrible ! read more

THREE REGISTERS open at 5 in the afternoon to handle lines of tired, cranky people with even crankier kids. The cashier in the line I was in was slower than hell and didn't care that she was slow. Intercom buzzed for additional register trained associates to come up, but I guess they were all conveniently on break. Managers wouldn't get on the registers. Unacceptable. read more

I agree with the other reviewers in that this Wal-Mart is typical of any other Wal-Mart location I've ever been to (but that's to be expected). The lines weren't very long at all and everything was fully stocked. The store was definitely cleaner than some Wal-Marts I've been to in the past and they had some really great deals the weekend we went. We're not used to Wal-Marts being easily accessible in Chicago so this was a nice breath of fresh air to visit. read more

The checkout lines are always ridiculously long wait times and I always go on a weekday, to avoid the bigger crowds. It's always at least 15 minutes of waiting in line, which is really messed up...a lot of times, I spend more time waiting in line, than I do shopping around the store. They only ever seem to open up like 3 lanes out of 30, every time I go. I'm guessing they're trying to save money on paying for another cashier....at the cost of their paying customers...whatever happened to customer service and customer satisfaction? That's bad business practice no matter how you look at it. I'd wager to say, that the Walmart CEO is doing just fine and by having another cashier to pay for, he/she would not be hurting for money as a result. It's also very difficult to find someone on the floor, if you have a question. Many times, I've had to go walking around aimlessly, looking for an employee....very frustrating, especially if you're pressed for time. They also seem to be rather slow at re-stocking the shelves. Another thing I've noticed, is that, all the Super Walmarts I've been to, that carry produce, are much higher priced than several other of my local grocery stores. I'm not sure why fruits and veggies are more expensive at the Super Walmarts, so I just don't buy my produce here, unless it's bananas....everything else is much higher priced. On the plus side, I like that they're open 24 hours too...that's very convenient. Also, the store is clean, bright, and inviting. As nice as the store is, the wait times and lack of customer service ruins it for me...along with more expensive produce and not the best or biggest selection either. At least it's a Super Walmart, so it has that going for it, but it really ends there. read more

I give this Walmart 4 stars for the low prices. They are always cheaper than Waukegan Walmart. Just don't go at night when the stock boys are there. Scary rude! But who goes to Walmart for good customer service? Just good prices. read more

While I can typically find the products I need, this Walmart has very long lines, unmotivated staff and the customers are in their own universe. The 1st-3rd of every month is riddled with out of stocks in every aisle. If you dare visit this place after 10pm, you'll feel like you've been transported to the bar in Star Wars. You never know what species you will encounter. We try to go early mornings and get the basics twice a month. Customers will cut you off in line, or better yet, teach your child a new curse word. The staff are not allowed to interfere, so it's all okay. The prices may be low but the price you pay may not be worth it. read more

Downloaded the App and ordered my groceries online for their new curbside pick up. It was a GREAT experience. They only substituted two of my items in which they were willing to take off the order if I wasn't satisfied with the substitution. They showed me my eggs and none were broken. They showed me my bread and it was not crushed. They loaded it into my car and I did not have get out of the car. Super fast... easy to use... and convenient! If you know exactly what you want this curbside pick up is great! read more

Awful customer service. Waited at the sports counter for 20min. asked three people for help. Two did not have a radio so kept walking. The third employees radio was dead. Went to customer service and asked for a manger but they were unable to help? Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. read more

Store associates and floor managers are not concerned with customer service. I purchased a dresser online and had it shipped to the store. It was quite heavy. They wheeled it up to to the front and told me to ask customer service to call for someone to help. When I did this customer service said "who told you that? You didn't need to wait in line for that the cashier could have called for you." she asked a manager to call someone. After waiting a while I asked if anyone had been called. They said yes, they are on the way. Still waiting. Asked the lady who supposedly called. When she called again she said " the first time I called I didn't get anyone." I was waiting 10 minutes for someone that wasn't coming. Then she says if no one comes you and I will have to lift it. I am 7 months pregnant, I barely carry my toddler around who weighs less than half of the dresser! I honestly can't believe that there were not two available associates to help lift a dresser into the back of an SUV. A two minute job, at most. The floor managers were either rude to me or they just ignored me. I guess the bottom line is Walmart is fine if you never need help. read more

Not sure why I bother to review places like this. People will still go and upper management will never bother to read these comments cause they obviously don't care. Helps me vent I guess... This place is the worst! Takes at least 30 minutes to check out no matter what time of day. Never enough cashiers and the ones they do have are super slow and lack training. Monkeys would do a better job. I stood in line for 45 minutes one night because not one but two employees did not know how to cash a government check that someone was trying to cash. If your company is going to offer such a ridiculous service, train them for it!! The whole situation made me want to puke! I just moved to the area from Palatine. Used to shop at the Rolling Meadows and Palatine stores, they were 100 times more functional than this sh*t hole. read more

I do not understand why there are so many registers that sit there and take up space and collect dust. If you are waiting in line to check out at whatever time (bc there never is a good time) and there are many employees walking around staring at the line of people but nobody can jump on the extra registers to help decrease customer wait time. If you are not going to use all these registers get rid of them and add more merchandise. Maybe you will even out the profit you make from that to the profit you lose by ur customers walking out bc of unfriendly employees and managers that DO NOT know how to manage. :) read more

I recently went to this store to buy some flowers for an event at CLC to welcome new faculty. I was outside looking at the mums on display, when a Walmart employee named Nancy opened a big door to show me some additional mums inside and to offer her assistance. Not only did she help me pick out the plants, she also recommended small plastic containers to place under the plants so they would not get water in my car or on the tables, and she helped me load 7 large plants into carts and into my car. I have not received such helpful service at a store in a very long time, and I want to thank Nancy for her attention and advice. read more

I stopped shopping here years ago. Everytime I went in there was at least one very sick employee working most of the time more. I hate long lines and understaffed stores, but you know what I hate more? A company forcing sick workers to be there so that I can catch whatever they have and bring it home so all three of my kids get it too, just for needing a gallon of milk? No thank you. Shopping at Walmart is great for the great deals they have! You can pretty much find anything super cheap. Out of the Walmarts that are near me,like the one in Zion or Waukegan I prefer to go to this location. For some reasons its way more organize and the staff is a lot friendlier. The new store manager has since contacted me and he was a pleasure to speak with. He has a pleasant demeanor on the phone and I was left with the impression that he cared about the consumers that frequent this business. With this gentleman at the helm of this particular store I believe they will do great. I will be returning to this location because I have spoken to him. Wal Mart has done good by acquiring this individual...I hope they do right by him. read more
