The only reason I came here is I had to. First you mentally prepare yourself, come in the daylight and lastly and a must hold your breath. Went for a sand chair because I knew they would carry it. Than I picked up a couple grocery items that were on my list. Is it convenient to find anything in this store NO. That is part of the plan that you get lost and spend more. I haven't been to this Walmart in a few years because of the staff. I made the mistake of going today. I live right down the street, so it's a shame I can't tolerate going there. I entered the garden area and was NOT greeted by the greeter. She stood by the door listening to a political podcast or radio show on her phone. Volume had to be at max. She said hello to the man who walked in behind me. I turned and looked...oh, he works there. Makes sense. I processed to pick up a sprinkler which I went there for. I took a few minutes walking around the garden area. It would've been pleasant if I didn't have to listen to her obnoxiously loud phone. I decided to leave and walked toward the register. I asked her "Is anyone working back here?" She sighed, turned down the volume and said "what?" I said "Sorry to bother you" and asked again. She said "No." and turned the volume back up. I was about to go to the main registers when I decided this store will never get another penny from me. I set the sprinkler on a table and started to walk out. Miss Doesn't Speak to Customers, said behind my back "Just gonna leave it there?" I turned around and said "Yes, you can put it away after you finish your podcast." I always put things back where I got them, but this place doesn't deserve that kind of respect. They'll do fine. It's a busy area. They won't miss my business, but I hate the way that place makes me feel. The people there are less than human. read more

Super busy and so disorganized. But it's Walmart. Don't go on weekends, such a busy location and not enough parking. If you do find parking make sure to park as far as you can, I personally wouldn't want my car to be hit with Walmart carts. This Walmart is by a plaza and walking distance to the beach, so I'm guessing that that's why it's so busy. They have a lot of beach accessories so it's cool. We bought some scuba gear. At first we saw them at one spot for $38 then at another spot for $48 and we decided not to buy them, but then walking my the kids sections we notice that they also had them on the wall, same ones.... but for $3.48. Walmart make up your mind lol. So we took a picture of the $3.48 prices and bought both. When we arrived to the cashier they lady said it was $14.89 lol we should her the price for $3.48 and they fix the price. Which it was nice but at the same time how un organized and confusing was this purchase. They do have many lines open which it's cool. But everything is so dirty and customer service is a little bad, it's Walmart so cant expect great service right. read more

If I could give -100 stars to this Walmart Supercenter store I would. Their staff, from supervisors to floor employees (if you can ever find one) is unprofessional and unfriendly. Their customer service is in desperate need of training to deal with people, they are rude and condescending; they hate you because of one's skin color, absolutely that is the truth. This store never have electric carts for the disabled. Floor employees are not helpful at all, they talk personal things among themselves, when you ask for their help, they ignore you and when you insist upon getting their attention, their response is condescending, give you dirty looks and walk away.  Most employees at this store treat you like you are a charity case, they look down upon customers. Unfortunately, it's the same situation at the 79th Street NW store. If I can go to the Miami Lakes, Doral and even Hialeah stores, I go out of my way to do so; treatment and whole experience is a little bit better. read more

I don't really know what all the complaining is about this Walmart. I lived basically across the street for 11 years before I recently moved- and I pretty much visited this Walmart like it was my job. I saw it grow from a rinky dink Walmart to a Super Walmart- and I was sad that SUPER meant adding grocery and subtracting from the outdoor section. Oh well... Before the big face lift, the bathrooms were gross- and pretty much the one in the front of the store, has a lot of traffic. So- if you are looking for one that is tidier, go to the back of the store in electronics. For some reason since it is all the way in the back, no one wants to bother going there. Coming here during the transition wasn't a fantastic experience. "Pardon our dust" was a complete understatement. Shifting of aisles, and moving products into different sections. It took me forever to figure out where things had been moved to. But, still I stuck it out, and I was happy with the changes. Yes, the parking lot is always full during popular times of the day- but you can;t beat a Walmart deal. For sure it is the best place to go for any cleaning supplies or paper goods. If you are only buying a few items, and don't want to wait forever in line, just go to the electronics department and you will be out in no time. My biggest complaint is that uploading photos to this location to pick them up in a hour doesn't work that often. But when it did, it was fantastic! An aside: Whining while being prejudiced is just in very poor taste and should not be acceptable in a Yelp review. Certainly we all know that Florida has a large elderly population. Hallandale, being close to the beach and all the high rises has a large elderly and snow bird population. Obviously they move a bit slower- shameful to complain about a store for this. read more

Please give me a very sharp razor next time I go to this walmart so I can promptly end my life. This place is the most HORRIBLE place I have ever been. EVER. The parking lot alone, gets ZERO stars. The Pharmacy, which is the reason I go, gets 1 star. They CLOSE at 130-2pm for "lunch". Of course, everytime I show up there between shifts, this the time they are closed. And heaven forbid they reopen on time. AAAHHH. I swear, I need some xanex for a trip to this place. When you cross unmotivated employees with a crap ton of customers, you would end up with this Walmart. They should really invest in some self scanning machines, the lines are ridiculous. This Walmart is as good as it gets for Walmart. It's located on the Intracoastal, literally a waterfront property, and it's close proximity to the beach brings a different crowd than your typical "Walmart Shopper." It's mostly families and tourists shopping here. Overall the store is usually pretty well stocked and easy to navigate. It's open 24/7 and has a full grocery section in addition to a pharmacy, bakery, garden center, H&R Block, Doctor Clinic, Hair Salon, Vision Center and a Subway. You can find pretty much anything you're looking for inside. I try to avoid shopping in the evenings when it is the most busy and between 10pm and midnight seems to be a shift change or staff reduction that results in only 1 or 2 lanes open with ridiculously long lines. Recently they've been working on improving check out times, but it still sucks when you get stuck. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly. I've been shopping here over the last six years and recognize a handful of employees who have remained with the company. There are plenty of lazy, virtually useless associates but they are usually walking around aimlessly in the isles or working in electronics. I think it's an unwritten rule to put the dumbest people you can find in the section of the store with the most expensive items that customers may actually have questions about and need information. Thanks Walmart. Parking is never an issue and you can walk here from most of the local hotels, resorts and luxury condos in the beach. Produce is hit or miss. I don't buy more than my family will eat within 3 days, otherwise I have to throw it out. Bread, Dairy, Meat and the Deli items are fine. The Everyday Low Price Store - living in downtown Miami, I do not often shop at Walmart. I was shocked to find a large number of premium brands and stock items that I've never seen before -- and the prices were competitive to the Membership Superstores but in much smaller quantities. The inventory was also very good compared to some of its competitors, that often run out of their most popular items. That all said, the shopping experience is not necessarily a pleasant one. You are constantly navigating your shopping cart like some sort of video game, avoiding shoppers that have no respect for others. This store is also open 24/7, but even on a Saturday evening, it was very crowded. This Walmart is located on the West side of the Intercoastal. Make sure you don't go over the bridge or you'll need to take a U-turn on A1A. read more

This is better than the Oakwood Plaza Kmart, but not by much. I wanted to give them 2 stars just for being cheaper, but I couldn't. Why do they even keep these old Walmarts around. They should just gut them all and turn them into Super Walmarts. I really felt I was back in the 90's when i walked in. Half the stuff I needed had no prices on them and when i finally saw an associate he is walking on the floor eating a sandwich. I mean what the hell is going on. I got some ice, the freezer wasn't cold enough so it was dripping water as soon as I took it out. I honestly think this Walmart raises prices on their products being so close to the beach. I'm done with this location! Lines to checkout are so long I ended up in the Clothing aisle. After waiting in line for what seemed like hours they switched the self checkout to 20 items or less! So I had to get in another line. Eventually I realized that that line wasn't moving and it was also self check. So I switched lines again. There was little help, I had fruit and produce I had to look up...I didn't time my gummies right and I was so stoned by the time I got to the register I paid and left with at least 50% of stuff I never even scanned. They even checked my receipt when I left!!! I remember seeing employees laughing and talking throughout the store while the checkout lines were a mile long. I would've left zero stars but that wasn't an option... NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

When there are excessive lines, do they open more lanes, no, because that would make too much sense. This location is the better location out of the three I have to choose from in my area, they stay well stocked, the store is pretty clean, and the surrounding shops + near by beach is an added bonus... But with that being said Walmart itself is starting to get on my nerves with some of their low quality products like their meat for example, Yuck!!! I Do Not by meat out of any of their SF locations and I would not recommend you buy it either. All locations are not bad just the ones in SF, when I lived in GA the meat quality was much better. Also, every time you look up they are discontinuing other vendors products and replacing them with their brand. Me and my daughter went to walk down the cereal isle the other day and it was so weak that I had to leave and go to Publix... They have also discontinued the Muller's Brand Pasta, I don't know what's that about. And don't get me started on their High Priced Electronics, Believe it or Not but if you compare them to Sears or Target, you come out waaay cheaper, and that's a Fact. Even though "SOME OF" Walmart's prices are a little cheaper on "Some Items", In my personal opinion the quality of some of there products is just not worth the trip unless you are buying SIMPLE EVERYDAY SHELF ITEMS. read more

Walmart say they match there competition, no and no that is not true because they might match the competition price but today I was trying to buy the same merchandise that I had just bought one hour earlier at Walgreen and decide maybe I should had bought two, so because I had all the papers, circular and coupon in hand that would save me $10.00, so as I was driving bye Walmart I stop there and they refused to give me the same offer. They said we match the price but do not accept coupon from competition. Sorry but $10.00 coupon on a $39.00 merchandise is a big differnce, when you can drive back half a mile to Walgreen to get that$10.00 coupon off. What a horrible shopping experience. Rented a house down in Dania Beach and needed to get some groceries. Since we normally shop at Walmart back home, we drove to this one to check it out. Whoever designed that parking lot should be beat severely. Of course the experience inside was about as blood pressure raising as the parking. It was crazy crowded on a Monday afternoon. A hell hole just packed with rude and obnoxious people. It seemed no matter where in the store you were or what you were trying to buy, there was either 2 or 3 people staring off into lala land in front of it or hovering right over your shoulder as you went to grab for something. And naturally they give you the evil eye if you ask them to politely move. The employees didn't help the situation much trying to get stock out with their carts blocking aisles. Seemed like a counterproductive stock schedule to me. There was a poor elderly woman who was at the register and she was a bit on the slow side but we were patient with her, which is more than can be said for some of the other customers who hopefully get their own dose of karma some day. I really don't like Walmart but if you need a mop you go there and I needed such. I kinda of like this Walmart as it is well stocked on everything I need and is organized. The lady at the deli was awesome and my boyfriend loved the wings they gave like 5 varieties and I was getting also snacks for NFL Sunday. The bakery side is ok but the meat section is well organized. I got some additions for our homemade bar as well as some snacks for the game and travel size stuff for an upcoming trip. Found everything at the store. Some of the people are very very rude but most are very nice and they smile and say hi. The rest f the experience was easy breezy until I got outside and the drug addicts started hitting for money. The store is well located and there are other stuff around to do additional shopping. WORST PLACE EVER. DONT EVEN BOTHER COMING HERE. 2 weeks ago a cashier took the money from the giftcard my sister gave right out of the card. She tried to tell me I had no funds. When she took it out and I have proof of it. So I ended up paying with my normal card when I didn't have to do that. I tried to complain to corporate . All they did is foward me to the store over 3 times when I told them in the first place the store was ignoring my claim. I bet they do that to others to and they don't respond to them.
