I ordered a laptop online with a set included headphones- USB drive- case- mouse n it was all suppose to be all the same color (red) n I got it but all the items were different colors , the laptop was pinkish - USB was black- case was orange - headphone bright red- mouse was dark red , this is definitely not what I ordered , n when I called customer service they said there is nothing they can do about it ! I work a lot, so ideally this grocery service would be great if the service had no issues. I have used it at this location twice and both times I had issues. The first time my pick up was between 7-8p. I arrived at 7. The associate said they were running behind schedule. The manager came out and tried to blame it on the associate that delivers the order, which was very unprofessional. I did not receive my order until after 8p. I took the survey with Walmart corporate, who called me right away. After submitting my complaint I was compensated with a $15 coupon and I decided to give them another chance. Today, I picked up my order and the order was on time. After I brought it home, I realized that I was missing 10lbs of chicken that I paid for. I called the store several times. No one answered I left a voicemail. I called corporate. They refunded me the $20 for the chicken, but this means I still need to go to the grocery store. I will not use this service again. read more

I have a love and hate relationship with Walmart. This one I've shopped at for years. It is always disorganized and messy. I'm not sure why they are unable to keep the shelves neatly stocked and organized. I do find what I need eventually. It's always a surprise. I absolutely would only recommend as a last resort. I like going to this Walmart, but today I was sadly disappointed about the two promotional guys located near the cleaning alise. One of them was trying to get my attention, but at the time I was very focused on finding a product that I quickly found out was not there. And when I did not respond, I heard him talk about my hair to his partner. I believe he thought I didn't hear him, but I did. Poor customer service. I probably would have turned my attention to them to find out what they were promoting, once I did not find what I was looking for. Maybe he was hurt that my attention was not on him, but searching what I came to the store in the first place. Ugh - YELP needs to add a NO Stars -- because that's what this WalMart rates. I ordered a product (gift) on-line and in hind-sight should have it SHIPPED to me, but I figured going to the store would save time. I was wrrrrrrooooong! I called 3x beforehand to see if it was there, and what I needed to do to pick-it up. After being put on hold, and then NO ONE answering. I just hung up. This was a premonition. So - at the store -- I stood in line. After waiting in the "In-Store Pick-Up" line for 15-minutes without one customer ahead of me clearing line, I ask the lady in front of me. Same deal. Nothing is happening. In fact, AFTER they told half the people in-line that the "In-Store Pick-Up" for Black Friday items were in the garden center - it still took another 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. There was ONE person responsible for printing photos, and 'moving' to the storage units outside to pick-up on-line orders. He had two speeds - slow and stop. Joseph was his name, and not only was he slowwww, but he was rude and definitely shouldn't be in 'customer service'. At several times, he just seemed to be lost. I mean lost - like mentally checked out. Then after being told to go pick-up two items from outside - he returns after 10 minutes. Wrong keys. He then dawdles more with the photo printers (no one is waiting for those). He finally goes outside, and I follow after him -- as he has no cart, but is some how planning on bringing my large box back in. After fighting the locked boxes opening and closing - I've had enough, and go to pick-up my box to head back inside (it's 40-degrees outside) and then check out. He says I can't do that. He has to. We argue about this, and after watching him struggle with the locks again -- after another 5 minutes of this, I've had enough, and state that I'm taking my box back inside, to which he objects. "My response - Watch me!" This is not it -- I spoke to TWO Assistant Managers who were less than helpful, one walked away from me and the other was like, "Oh well - it's busy now..." This place is a joke!! read more

The new released movies are locked up in display cases so you can't grab the movie and continue shopping. You have to find someone with a key...oh wait there's only one person and he has a long line of people using him to check out quicker. The food aisles are all in disarray. I've never seen such a chaotic mess at a Walmart. If you are willing to spare some cents, go to target up the road to save you the headache and disgust. read more

Besides the endless lines, rude checkout clerks, and general disheveled nature of this store they have a problem that irks me even more - items list as being "In Stock" on their website not be buyable in the store. What I mean by this is that the people who work their will readily admit that they are in stock, but currently sealed away in the vault that is "the back". When asked to go find these items you will frequently just be told "no" or "I will try". This has resulted in a 100% failure rate. Sure, Walmart is cheap. And there are awesome Walmart stores. This is not an awesome Walmart. Find another one or shop at the Target across the way. read more

I decided to do order pickup from this Walmart location. My window was between 4pm-5pm. I waited an hour for someone to bring my items to me. I tried to call the pickup number to see if I could just come inside to get my order, but no one answered. I also saw a line of people pulling up that had to park on the side of the building and they were getting their orders before all of the people that had already been waiting. This is horrible service and I'm not likely to ever use this location again. read more

This Walmart is the worst Walmart ever! If you need to go please drive the extra 10 mins to go to the one in Severn, MD. I go to Walmart between 2-3 times a week and this past Saturday was horrible. I went to get toilet paper and the shelves was completely bare like nobody stocked in days. I asked a total of 5 employees for assist and they all give me the same dam line I don't work in that department. I finally got one person attention about the issue of all shelves not having no toilet paper which he had a attitude because he had to pull someone to stock the dam shelves that was never stocked. This Walmart has definitely changed for the worst these past couple of years. Please get new management they clearly have no clue to what they are doing and need to hire all new staff. read more

Would you like to wait hours in line just to pickup an item? Well, this might be the place for you. You'd think I'd learn having had consistent bad experiences with Walmart involving waiting forever just to set yourself up for more waiting. But every once in a while I give Walmart another try only to remember exactly why I shop elsewhere. I spent 1.5 to 2 hours waiting in the service line today and nothing more. First I waited in line for about 45 minutes to return a couple of items I bought online only be to told I had to call Walmart.com in order to return them. After that I waited in another line to pick up another order I bought online, for about an hour. The worst part is, after you finally get up front and start your pickup, you're just standing there waiting for them to do "something" while other customers are also waiting and getting irritated. You don't even know what exactly you're waiting on, or how long it will take. Finally someone brings my box from the back (containing a small appliance), and they bring it up front, carelessly just slamming it on the counter. Employees don't have a bad attitude (usually) but really have no incentive to make things faster, and the process they have set up is seriously lacking. read more

I'm known for permanently throwing shade at Walmart. As a true and true Tarjay shopper, Walmart stores have always paled in comparison...poor lighting, shady looking customers, even more shady looking employees... But this Walmart actually isn't that terrible, and the customers/employees aren't as suspect looking. I've been to Walmart stores in Baltimore, I know what I'm talking about. Laurel isn't a bad location, so I guess that translates to the types of characters that hang out here. Like someone said, go during an off peak time. The produce is decent, my energy bars are the cheapest here, my beloved kettlecorn is also the cheapest that I've seen here, Greek yogurt is decently priced. However, one annoying thing to note is that their makeup/cosmetics are forever out of stock but hey, I guess you can't win 'em all. I still stay true to my Tarjay right across the street, and wouldn't go out of my way to stop in here but if it so happens, I know that it's not the most terrible place to spend half an hour. read more

Carts overflowing into the parking lot are not acceptable. Check out the photos and you'll see what I mean. They were taken at 10:30 AM on a Sunday morning. You have to question whether lower prices are with the increased risk of getting your car scratched and dinged, It would be nice if this location could lessen their long lines at the registers and keep the parking lot in safer order. It's also odd that so many of the uploaded photos show the store with no people in it. In my experience it's often crowded, with long lines at the registers and customer service. read more

It's a ginormous place I forgot how big of a place Walmart was. There was even a manicure place inside!! We went drove out there looking for Xmas ornaments. They didnt much things and even if they had something they were ugly. We did find a tree stand and some silver ornaments. People there were strange, very strange and unfriendly. read more

Don't shop here unless you don't mind waiting a very long time for your purchased items and that's for delivery, pick up and in store. Many times this year I have had my grocery order canceled without being notified. Then I switched to pick up but had to wait 30-40 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. Then switched back to delivery just to experience the same problem. I am done with this store. As soon as I get my refund, I'll do my shopping elsewhere. read more

Like a lot of people, I only shop at Walmart when I have too--you know when you need something big that's stamped "Rubbermaid". And, living in the District, I don't have a convenient Walmart. So, on a Sunday afternoon, I'm in Laurel for another reason and drop into this Walmart to stock up on a few things because...well...it's there. Now all Walmarts pretty much look the same to me. So I'm not going to make any judgements as to whether or not this one is particularly "ghetto". But I will say that I've never had a big-box work so hard to rip me off for a lousy 10 bucks. This little fiasco starts at the register where the checker takes my 5 tiny items--and I mean *tiny*, batteries, candles, dish liquid--and separates them into two bags when one would easily have sufficed. She fills one, spins the little carousel, and then fills the second. Not paying any attention whatsoever, I pay and grab bag number one. The disinterested checker...at that point...is finished, does nothing to put the second bag in front of me, doesn't even tell me there *is* a second bag, apparently doesn't notice it later when she starts on the next customer, or if she does takes no action to call me back to get my additional bag. And, obviously, I get home to find that I've only got half of my purchases. So what do I do? Call Walmart and ask for a credit to my card. To which Walmart responds, "You need to come back to the store and request the credit at customer service." Now maybe Walmart simply expects that no one should have a problem driving 50 miles round-trip to their miserable store, but 2 gallons of gas and 90 minutes of my time is worth way more than $10... ...and I'm sure that is just what Walmart is counting on. So: Walmart 1, Kvatch 0 But I still get to write the review for these ripoff artists. read more

Lazy, Unhelpful Staff: The electronics department had Vivitar GoPro knockoff cameras, and Vivitar makes an excellent camera for cheap. When I asked the man the price, he said they should be about $80, and I told him the camera was probably less expensive than that, so he said "well it must be less then" So I asked another staff member, and he said that they Didn't have the camera at all, when they had Two Rows of the camera right on the aisle. Neither associate was willing to check price and availability for me when the camera was sitting right there, & I was ready to buy it. read more

In this case, I waited for 30 minutes to get through a checkout line, and then the incompetent cashier dumped all of my reusable bags out all over the place, even managing to lose one of my bags in the process. Thanks for nothing. Losing my reusable bag just cost me more than any money I might have saved by going there vs. somewhere else. read more

It doesn't matter what time of day you come in they only have ONE person checking and half of the self-checks are broken. Horrible site to service experience. The zone manager Viki came by to get someone as there was no employee with the specific skill set to give the customers what they ordered. I waited 15 minutes but the couple in the front waited for 30 minutes. Update: For the past 6 times I've come to this Walmart, there have been NO scooters for handicapped people. Some are always broken, they let people use them that obviously don't need them & they need to purchase more. I can't walk long distances with a broken femur & it makes me extremely upset that kids are taking these things to play on & yes, I have seen that happening though nothing was done about it. You literally have to stalk the checkouts to see if anyone has a scooter, ask them if they're leaving so you can follow them out & get it from them! And you're looked at like some kind of creep when you have to do that. ***I recently found out that each Walmart has a total of 5 scooters. If they break, someone has to come service them. Their "budget" only allows for 5 per store. Give me a break! Walmart needs to get it together, they can afford to put 10 in there easily. Target does! This is a pretty decent Walmart. The front of the store is nice, there's a McDonald's inside, a vision store & a nail salon as well. When you walk in either entrance (there are 2), carts are usually always available, scooters not so much. They're either broken or people who obviously don't need one use them. Tonight, myself & another lady had to wait for one & the one I got kept stalling the entire time I was there. Nice grocery section, great prices compared to other local supermarkets & they carry almost everything you could need. I get most of my groceries here. They have a full service deli & bakery as well. The rest of the store is ok, pretty well kept & stocked. The baby area with formula, baby food & snacks tends to run very low on items, especially on Saturday & Sundays. Also, the refrigerated area (yogurts, eggs, puddings in the far rear of the store) are very slim pickings on Saturday & Sunday. read more

This is the most organized Walmart I've been to in the whole DMV! I happened to be in the area and visited it and I was absolutely shocked. The staff was actually nice and some even smiled. I've never seen that at a Walmart here. I'll definitely be coming more often. read more

There are ups and downs when it comes to big box shopping. You get the "luxury" of cheap prices, but the experience getting said prices more than makes you pay for it. This Walmart is one of the better ones in the area in that I feel marginally safer around here. That's pretty much where any difference ends. Like most other Walmarts, this one is typically crowded with people. It is generally OK as far as cleanliness goes. I usually see people on the floor attempting to restock misplaced items or organize cluttered shelves. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, though. They're just gross. I've only had experiences with poor customer service. Any time I need help finding something, I've found that I'm better off just wandering until I find it, because the associates on the floor aren't helpful either due to poor attitudes, a lack of knowledge of the store, or language barriers. And don't bother with the Customer Service area up front ... it's more along the lines of disservice. The lines are always long and slow. I am sure there are at least 20 checkout stands, but usually no more than 8 are operational at any give time. This isn't efficient at all. I wish they'd pay more attention to the long lines and be proactive about them. The only reason Walmart gets 3 stars is because of the products. I'm usually able to get whatever random items I need here for a low price. read more

Trying to contact anyone at this store is completely impossible. Not only does no one pick up, but lines will actually cut you off, and if it's not the line hanging up on you, someone will literally pick up the phone and hang it up. This is ridiculous. I live in Russett. This is my closest store and I shop here, unabashedly, twice a week. Walmart is not trying to fool you. They are cheap, huge, always open, carry everything, a bit sterile, a bit crass. I would say that they are transforming retail shopping, but, come on now, they did that 15 years ago. This Walmart has two unexpected problems here. First, the checkout lines are long. They rarely open more than a third of the checkout and it often takes more than 15 minutes to get out. Second, and I am amazed to be typing this, they are not that cheap. I think that foods, and in particular meats, are more expensive than similar grocery-only stores in the area. Other than that, it is as you might expect - a massive, continually open super store like every other Walmart. read more

I know it's asking for it to use Walmart for anything, but I feel the need to say something about how awful the pharmacy and it's staff are. So incredibly rude and careless every visit but today was the final straw. Called in one of my infant's prescriptions two days ago, it was supposed to be ready by 2 p.m. today...two days to fill one prescription is ridiculous enough on it's own. When we went in to pick it up at 4 p.m., not only was it not ready, but they didn't have it available. The pharmacist was a complete ass about it and only after my wife lost her shit did they "find" half a prescription's worth of a more expensive brand. We are switching pharmacies and sincerely hope that the staff here can find peace one day. read more
