By far the nicest Wal-Mart I've ever been to, though there are some shady people walking around, this is nothing like the ghetto ones in San Jose, Salinas, Milpitas, and Gilroy. I'm ONLY giving 2 stars purely because it is a very nice store in a nice location for Walmart.... however. I'm rating this so low because as soon as we walked up for thier entrance the manager asked if we had masks.. we said no we didn't have them with us, so we went back to the car, put them on and tried again. I get the mask thing definitely because of Covid-19, it's the town protocol, store policy yes.. I get it. When we went back the second time we were rudely told that if we're together we cannot enter the store. One at a time can go in... my husband said ok well we're not together then, can we go in? He said "make sure you're not shopping together, stay 6 ft apart." Haha I'm a nurse. So I know how this works... I was actually pretty pissed because he let couples holding hands even go in before us and only chose to stop us because what? We put our masks on? Why? We not only are husband and wife but live together and I'm pretty sure we've shared plenty of germs lol but we can't SHOP TOGETHER?! I went to Walmart for milk, stamps and other items that I needed. Went to self checkout and asked the employee if they had stamps and she said "yes", but that I would have to go to an actual register where there was a cashier to get the stamps. There was only one cashier available and there were about 8 people waiting, so I walked to the other end of the store where they have the other checkout and asked a different employee if they had stamps and she said "no" and I questioned her and she said that they stopped selling them. At this moment I'm confused. I rang my stuff up and wondered, what if I had waited in that long line for nothing, I would have been super mad about it. Walmart needs to orient their staff better, everyone has to be on the same page. If an employee isn't sure they should ask management or a supervisor. Before I was able to get stamps on the self checkout. Some employees are very unprofessional and that includes their dress code too. read more

Tonight we shopped here (04/06/2019) We were there for water and a few things. We get in line in lane #10 in front of us was an elderly women trying to buy some things. The cashier was Darrius ( I think that's how he spelt his name) The card reader was having trouble reading her card. First of all, when we walked up in lane he was texting on his phone, ignoing her. He was so rude to the lady when the reader kept having a hard time reader her card. It was obvious she was getting flustered.The reader finally took her card. He didn't even help her put her cases of soda in her cart or her bags in the cart. He thought he needed to text some more. WE helped her with her things. UGH! When it came to us, the card reader was having trouble reading our card, then we quickly descided to use cash. The checker was SOOO rude. His attitude was like we were bothering him and keeping him from his texting. Because he kept texting on his phone. He rolled his eyes many times. It wasn't our fault the card reader wasn't reading our debt cards. I think I will rethink going to Walmart. We have other stores in town. I love Savemart. We go there a lot. I think we'll stop going to Walmart from now on. It's not worth it. read more

Went to grab a cd and saw a price match online for less than a dollar off. Shipped and sold at Walmart.com. The employee JC was hesitant because the item in store had a sticker that displayed that the #1 song was included on the cd. Called for a CSM and explained he wanted to double check with the CSM because it wasn't the same exact item (we're talking about the sticker). Took the CSM Gay a while to arrive but when she did she asked was it shipped and sold @walmart.com? Jc: Yes. Gay: So what's going on? JC: Well this one here has a sticker and I was told it had to be the exact item to price match. Gay: So go ahead and try it. Then he does something on his end and somehow the total has the original and the discounted price item on the screen at $25 and change. Gay then said that it doesn't look like the system is going to allow it. Confused I asked why not, because it's the same exact item aside from the dime sized sticker on the front. She said that I can order online and get the price. I then asked how long pickup in store would take, and surprise surprise neither of them knew. I then start the online process when I asked a third employee with strawberry blonde hair, who's name I didn't get, for the cd that JC had placed in the back of the counter. This employee asked what was going on and after hearing when to find a higher manager to see if they could do it because it's something that hasn't been an issue in the past. Less than 5 mins later this third employee came back and with ease applied the discount without any sort of override. This location needs to train and educate their staff on their policies and how to handle a situation with common sense and if it'll really make a difference for the company. This bit of customer service is what draws the line between a successful business and one with a 2.5 star review. read more

Sure, the deals are excellent. It is overall relatively clean and tidy. Conveniently located. Though the shelves are perpetually out of stock; and when you ask an associate you'll get the same answer all the time. It gets frustrating, it really does. I waited for a specific brand of Roast Beef for nearly 4 weeks for example. I would drop in time after time only to find an empty area where the specialty items are shelved. Again, I would ask an associate and receive the same scripted answer. The household aisle is perpetually empty as is the produce section. It really irks me, though I live right behind it - so it's convenient for me rather than driving through to the other side of town to get to Savemart. Gosh knows this town has one too many stop lights! I mean seriously, I get it but really? Do we really need a stoplight at every block along Pacheco? It's unreal! But that's another story for another day. Walmart if you're reading this, you really need to step up your game. From your lazy associates in automotive to the grumpy people in your deli. I hate this walmart at los banos california because my family and I went to buy some clothes for this winter. At the moment we paying went to the cashier machines where we do it ourselves. And we were accused of stilling some gloves that my wife bought them last year in a diferent store So be careful they chase people inside the store Without your knowledge just because your skin color.but I'm going to call the corporate office tomorrow. Every time I go here I leave angry. I'm not asking for good customer service. I'd be happy with simple civility! I push my one-year-old around in their new carts (THANK GOODNESS FOR THESE NEW CARTS THE OLD ONES WERE ALL HORRIBLE!) and I have to dodge employees like freaking Frogger or something. One employee came right at me, eyes locked on me, dominating me into pushing my cart around him so he didn't have to take one step to the side of this wide aisle. Did he or anyone say excuse me? I live in LB and love this Walmart, although small. It is expanding in Fall of 2010. It is always clean, employees are always pleasant and lots of room to move around shopping carts. If I can't find what I want at this WM, I check out others and order or go pick up there. The one in San Jose at Monterey Rd is just too crowded and you can't find anything because everything is so jammed packed,, carts are hard to move around. The LB Walmart employees are always cordial also with returning mdse. Sometimes there are people selling home made tamales in pkg lot and they are delicious. read more

Rudest management ever! I went to the store yesterday to return an item that was not working correctly. The customer service gentleman had to check with management because the return date had past. He came back and said he could not return my item because it was "past the date." I asked to speak to management, he walked me over to the office and knocked on the door; an older lady (60ish) poked her head out with a very sour look on her face and said that she needed to finish what she was doing before she could talk to me. I stood outside the door waiting; the lady came out and walked right passed me, never even acknowledging that I was there waiting for her. She walked over and talked to another lady and then just walked away, never to bee seen again. A few minutes later, the second lady came over and asked if I had been helped, (she was very nice) I told her my issue and she said she would try to get someone to come and talk to me. After about ten minutes, a heavy set lady in her early 40's came out of the office. She came up to me with the attitude of "what the hell do you want," I explained my issue, she looked at my receipt and said, "you've had it for two seconds", then looked at the receipt again and said, "OH, a HOT second!", like I had had it for two years instead of a month and a half. What kind of talk is that anyway for a supposedly adult professional manager? Really, "A Hot Second." As if!!! She was sarcastic, condescending and just plain rude, and the older lady was just as unprofessional by not even letting me know that she would get to me as soon as possible, she just ignored me! We were calling in regards to a return policy on tires we just bought about an hour ago and he had a horrible attitude the minute the call was transferred to his department. This is our "go to" Walmart, and we love it since its expansion. Definately is one stop shopping. We probably go there at least once a week, and we are about 16 miles away. The store is super clean and the employees are helpful and courteous. Probably the only problem I have -- Walmart or wherever -- is the rudeness of some customers and their complete disregard for other shoppers. About a month ago I bought a diet product in the health section. When I got home I realized that it had been opened and about 50 pills had been removed. I called immediately after finding this, took it back to the store, and was fully reimbursed for my purchase. About a week ago I was shopping for groceries in Walmart and bought two 32 ounce boxes of Swanson's Chicken Broth. Today, about a week from this shopping experience, I unscrewed the top of the box and found that the seal had been completely punched through. I went to the other box and it was the same thing. These have been on my counter for over a week. There was no way I could use them. Who knows how long they were on the store shelf before I purchased them? I have disposed of these and will not be taking them back for reimbursement. The only reason I am writing this is that I'm tired of getting screwed by people/customers who think it's funny to vandalize what others are paying for in good faith. And it is very frustrating to know that we have to check everything for tampering because they cannot resist their impulses to destroy. read more

I will never go to this Walmart auto department I regret getting tires from here, I put in all new tires last year 2017 went in july 2018 to get one of my tires replaced still under warranty, was informed by one of the employees wont mention name would take about hour and half so I walked around went to McDonalds then I went back to auto department my car hadn't been worked on at all :( about 2 hours later I went and asked how long more they stated I was next as time went by 30 minutes later another employee comes in states they don't have my tire and that just escalated I informed them I had called prior to make sure as well I had been waiting for now over 2 hours to be told they no longer carry that tire they paged manager Amanda several times to see if they could give me a different tire she never called back to employee or came to department, they sent me off with no tires called corporate stated I would get a call within 7-10 days, I waited almost about 3 weeks no call then I ended up calling corporate again they stated no later than 3 days district manager would call me and it has been 2 weeks and still no call, very bad customer service . Went here tonight to purchase my card for my cellphone in the electronics department I went to the counter where a girl named ALYZA was working she never once greeted me said hello anything she talked to her coworker the whole time of my purchase tho only words spoken to me were my total and then she placed my receipt on the counter and that was it. This was the most rudest way you can treat a customer and lack of customer service I later spotted 2 managers in the store whom stated they would talk to her they never once themselves issued an apology nor asked if they could assist me any further in fact one of the managers looked me up and down as if I was somebody of lower existence. I myself being in customer service and also a manager would never ever come back to this Walmart I will travel to Gilroy or Turlock just for better customer service my next step will be to contact corporate offices.My mother has had issues in the past here and contacted corporate and has gotten a response. I've lived here for 11 years and most of the time everyone is nice here. I say most of the time because you always have your few bad employees. Well, recently after walking through the ENTIRE store along tens of employees, my husband, my service animal, and I were getting the receipt at the checkout when I hear this old woman rudely commenting to my husband how my service animal needs to be picked up. As my husband tries to respectfully explain to her her own store policies and how he can request a supervisor if that's what she wanted, SHE PUT HER HAND IN my husband's face and said "OK sir" and tried to walk away. My husband then called her rude, so she turned around and tried to tell him he was being rude. So I jumped in and explained that she's the rude one for 1) how she started the conversation with my husband, 2) how she threw her hand in his face and tried to walk away, 3) and how I don't have to pick up my service animal AT ALL, EVER. I didn't even let her have time to respond because of how livid I was. I'm not sure but I think I could have had her fired or even sued Walmart because: 1) If I had a bigger service animal, would I be required to carry it around the store? No, which means my service animal was being discriminated against for being small and I was being discriminated against for being ABLE to carry the service animal. WOULD THAT "POLICY" HAVE STILL APPLIED TO SOMEONE IN A WHEEL CHAIR OR A BLIND PERSON USING THEIR SERVICE ANIMAL TO WALK AROUND???? 2) She waited until I was done with my shopping to say something and then tried to leave once she got her opinion out AS IF I WOULDN'T SAY SOMETHING BECAUSE I'M YOUNG, it's like she assumed I didn't know any better to stand my ground tactfully 3) She had no right to assume that because I'm not OBVIOUSLY DISABLED I must be lying and that I don't know the laws and policies regarding service animals. Every single time I have been in here they have not had anything I needed and anything they did have had a VERY few selection. The staff has been less than helpful and never very polite. Moved here a year ago come to Walmart almost every single day. Basically no problems except once i wanted something that was out , gave my name and number to an associate she said she would have the manager order it and call me I never ever got a call. Today I went to pick up a prescription nobody was in line so I stood there where it says wait here while all the Associates in the background looked at me through the corner of their eye but never acknowledged me being there for at least 3 to 4 minutes before I walked away and said forget it. I'll come in another time when they can acknowledge their customers I mean at least they will be right with you ma'am or something why do they have to be crude.
