This Walmart is by far one of the best ones that I've been too. Never a long line, lots of staff at the check stand so you don't have to wait. They are actually friendly here! They are sometimes out of stock on things (but other Walmarts have been worse on that) the Marron Rd. location is larger and does have more of a selection but much longer lines there. read more

There are two Walmart's in Oceanside I recently went into the one on vista wy. I had to leave because there were so many customers I found it difficult to keep a distance WAAAY TOO MANY CUSTOMERS .... hundreds ! Not dozens -- HUNDREDS. Many many not wearing a mask and standing close...ignoring the 6' rule. Especially shameful that the workers don't even bother to step aside to keep 6' away ....we all need to do that. Ralph's not so. Albertsons not so Vons not so.... Stay away.... the few $$ u may save isn't worth the chance that you might bump into this crowd popular virus ! Some black guy wearing glasses and a Dragon Ball Z shirt with a beanie accused me and my friend of stealing, his reasoning? We came to Walmart twice. He was being extremely rude, making comments like "I'm not putting my hand in there" When I asked if he wanted to check my bag. At one point he was just trying to accuse us of anything he told me to open my bag, saw a pack of gum then asked if I stole it. Why the hell would I steal a pack of gum! I tried to show him my receipts but he refused to look at any of them, pointed at a random receipt on the ground that wasn't ours and asked "whats that then?" Why would it be ours! When he realized we didn't steal he didn't even apologize Maybe he was trying to be a good citizen but that does not explain why he was being so persistent and abrasive. I felt stereotyped because I'm a Hispanic teenager when things like this happen it hurts my heart. Honestly so rude!! Trader Joe's has better groceries. read more

Worst Walmart ever! They made it impossible to move in the store! Let's start from the minute you enter the store. 1) they moved the carts so that it's impossible to get a cart and go. You have to fight your way into the little nook then fight your way out of the little cart area. 2) they now have the cosmetic area in lock down. There is a gate that goes in and out. Which wouldn't be so bad except for they put the cash register right next to the gate and you are forced to buy your cosmetics separately from all your other purchases. So if someone is paying it is very difficult to get in and out. There's also no room for a line. So you have people trying to stand there not blocking the gate and then people trying to get in. This poor woman was trying to get in with her stroller and it was freaking difficult. No one was able to even help her because they were stuck. In the three minutes I was in there, I saw five people get angry, start cussing, and losing their shit! It's that frustrating. Now imagine getting trapped with a whole bunch of angry people! That's fun! They no longer carry about 20% of the foods I use to buy. They put everything in these glass cases in the refrigerated section that are constantly broken and shattering! Very safe When you leave the store there's nowhere to drop off your cart, because now it's in a nook. So you have the choice of either abandoning your cart and making it more difficult for people to move around OR Fight the madness and try to return your cart near the nook. I opted for abandoning my cart because someone who was already cussing and screaming wanted to take it from me. (They had already tried to get a cart out of the nook) It was such a frustrating and an anxiety ridden shopping experience, I literally just sat in the car and wrote this review before even leaving. read more

We both just laughed and enjoyed our conversation soooo much we decided to connect through FB. Walmart's always got what I need, even for past minute christmas shopping! I needed a present last minute and luckily walmart had a sweet bbq set that included sauce, a tray and spatula that were all of great quality. I was surprised to see how much Walmart still had on the shelves since shopping this season has been extremely busy, but the employees seemed to be all over the place restocking isles! We came across one lady who was very kind but obviously was new cause she didn't know where anything was in the store. She then directed us to Elora. Never have I interacted with anyone more rude. She acted like speaking to us was an inconvenience. I purchased my son's Nintendo DS at Walmart.com. The cost of bundle on-line was equivalent to the the price of the game system alone. When we opened the package yesterday, the DS was defective. My fiancé called this store two times and spoke with two different employees. He explained the whole bundle situation and was told he would be able to exchange just the DS. We go into the store, heading straight to the customer service department to be told an exchange could not be done. The options we were given was to refund my credit card (minus the shipping cost). I decided not to return it in-store. I would deal with the on-line store and get all my money back or at least an equal exchange. I was already irritated that two people misinformed my fiancé and wasted our time. What really crossed my line was when the cashier rolled her eyes and made the most obnoxious facial expression after telling her that I did not want to go through with the refund. This place is always as crowded like a market street in China. Luckily, I'm fat, so I get to ride in the fancy motor cart and run over the dumb, unattended children. This is a valuable learning experience for budding shoppers to look left, right, and left again when they decide to careen out of an aisle. Wish there was an indoor drive-thru at the MacDonalds, though. I hate getting up to do things. I like to come to the car service area and chug the free water in the waiting room. I bring little Kool-Aid packets for added flavor. I take off half a star because the little 16oz sodas cost about the same as the liter bottles. This is clearly some marketing ploy to rip off the customer, I know it. Also, another half of a star off for a company that sells a Coca-Cola product that uses Imperial and Metric measurements interchangeably. This Walmart kind of sucks. It's a little better than the neighborhood markets but not by much. The items here are frequently out of stock, parking lot is full of random carts that could ding cars, bathrooms are horribly dirty. This store also does not participate in the ad matching. Refill your items, clean your bathrooms, and pick up the carts and I'd be more impressed to at least consider you in par with a normal experience. read more

I went in wearing a three piece Armani suit and came out wearing a trucker hat, white sleeveless T-shirt and a pair of jeans resting comfortably under my chin. I believe they were a vintage 1985 Jordache. Something about wal-mart that makes me feel, oh I don't know, gross. When it comes to workers their recruitment is the best. They have managed to find all the rudest and most miserable bunch. One is more angry than the next. The selection is great. Lots of variety. A real American staple with mostly made in China goods. They have figured it out. How to keep you coming back. You need to return every thing you buy because none of it works right. Bravo Wal-mart although in this case businesses shouldn't take a page out of your book, mostly because it probably won't work right. Don't quite get the hate on this Walmart, it's huge, clean, new and not very full meaning no lines at check out. Sure it's no frills shopping, but they had everything we needed for cheap. Easy one stop shop, plenty of parking and open 24/7 what more could you want? Edit: Early Friday morning we logged in and ordered, though pickup was not available until Monday, and then only in 8am time-slot. Later we found a grocery store with relatively few customers, so found what we wanted and cancelled our Walmart grocery order. It's a bit of a drive to Supercenter at Vista Way and now there's no incentive to shop there. If we want to wait 4 days, there are closer options. I'd like to understand how it benefits the store (if it does) to have people wait 4 days instead of one day(?) Does it improve the ability to supply exactly what customers order? Original review follows: Compliments and thanks to the sharp people at Walmart who designed the at-store grocery-pick-up procedure. I really appreciated how we allocate a pickup time first, then start shopping. Since time-slot reservation starts at 12:01am the day before, there was no week-long wait to get our groceries. We changed (added to) our order while waiting, which was very convenient, and, when time came to pick up groceries, it couldn't have been simpler (or safer). It was a bit of a scramble (in late March 2020) to figure out how we were going to get food without gambling with our health. It's a relief to have this service available. Well done! read more

I am comparing this to the Wal Mart in Oceanside off College/76. I like this one the most because the lines seem to be much shorter and quicker than the one off the 76. The only difference with this particular Wal Mart is that every time I go to the asian isle, there ALWAYS out of the kimchi noodlessss!! :( To me, my shopping consist of going to Wal Mart for asian food and walking out also with their killer fried chicken deal haha. Walmart is the LA of grocery stores. I despise this store. Words cannot express my deeply rooted aversion against this chain and specifically this location. Dirty floors, slow employees and mostly unhealthy food. I came to pick up a 1 hour photo order that I submitted online last week. It literally took 20 minutes of waiting time and "begging" three other employees until somebody showed up to help at the photo desk that supposedly is open 9-9. Then they didn't have my order and the manager explained that Fuji sometimes sends photos in which makes no sense if it is a 1 hour order. Last time I set foot into this sorry place of depression. That would be really, really cool. -Beggers...[cough] I mean "fund raisers" at almost every entrance. I know this is not Walmart's fault, but it's something I have to deal with every time I visit...and sometimes I don't visit because of this. They are pretty "in your face" about giving money to the ______ cause. I'm over it. -Recently added a McDonald's to the interior as well as a food section here. I don't think I will start eating @ McDonald's any time soon and surely don't plan on eating food from Walmart. It just creeps me out a little bit. I come in this location get greeted with a friendly smile by Harold.. as I leave he checks nicely my receipt a bit of small talk goes a long way.. he has great and positive attitude .. You cannot take your cart down the aisle without either being in the way, or in someone else's way, no more simply going around someone else with a cart. It gets frustrating. You know it's going to be a rough visit when you are the second car in line for an oil change and it takes an associate 20 minutes to approach you. I was then quoted a timeframe of an hour to an hour and a half..... We're now going on two hours. I get that places can get slammed (not to mention I overheard a manager on the phone with an employee who was running late, so I assume they were also short-staffed), and that's ok, but a little communication with the customer goes a long way. read more

I'm not usually a fan of shopping at Walmart, but I hate going to this one. I feel like it's always a mess, you can never return anything because the line is always insanely long, there is hardly anyone over at the photo counter to help you out, and the restrooms are disgusting. I don't know if it's because there are so many people that shop there that they just can't keep up, or if they're really lacking on their job responsibilities. I also don't like that there is so much soliciting going on there. I have to tell the Cox rep as I'm walking out that I'm not interested and the homeless organization that I don't have spare change for them. Then you have the occasional homeless people asking for stuff. It just gets frustrating. I like to go in, get what I need and leave without being bothered by solicitors on the way out. read more

This is strictly a review of the produce department. I went to this Walmart at 3am because I was awake and had some shopping to do. When I was checking out the cashier asked me if I had found anything and I told her the produce department didn't have what I wanted. She apologized and said the produce truck arrived at 5am and they restocked the department at that time. I happened to go in at 9am for a couple prescriptions and I rechecked the produce area. Not much had been restocked. The green bean crate that had about 20 green beans in the bottom at 3am now was full but right on top was a moldy green bean spreading it's nastiness downward into the entire pile each time they get sprayed. I envision the person who refilled the green bean grate as wearing a blindfold and not checking their work. Who puts the bottom of the barrel on the top and doesn't pick off this moldy funkiness? So all these commercials for Walmart produce quality aren't true. In addition, I find that Walmart produce prices are consistently 50% or more than all the competition in town. Why bother selling produce Walmart if you are going to present this lack of quality to the public? read more

Man did I have a good pleasant shopping experience =) usually shopping at Walmart none of the employees pay attention to customers especially offer to help find an item..at this location 3 different employees offered to help find something and took me to the Isle! They made eye contact said a simple hello which made a difference. .the cashier I belive his name was Steven or steve a young guy had awesome customer service skills and helped a elderly lady with her credit card read everything word for word to her with patience ..I was very pleased with my shopping experience today ! Well, they've remodeled the store and it looks pretty much like any other Wal Mart now, with the exception that on some you enter and the rest of the store is to the left or to the right. I guess the cookie cutter layout is what it's about now. Speaking of the layout though, it is considerably improved from what it was before and everything is spaced out rather nicely. But like the other Walmarts, this one's clothing selection has suffered in a reduction of selections in favor of having a grocery area now which sucks. A funny thing about this store too is that since its been remodeled, you'd think it's a nearly new place again, and surely, the improved bathrooms are very much so. But last time I went, it was raining and there must have been 2 dozen places around where they had buckets to catch the rain water coming in, and this store can't be over a decade old yet I think. read more

REVIEW FOR AUTO CENTER I got an oil change and had my tires rotated & balanced. Was told one price and charged more for multiple items. Though annoying, it could have been an honest mistake. I said I was quoted differently and was told that's the price. (No attempt to fix it.) I pressed and then they gave me the quoted price for one thing, but not the other. I already felt like I was inconveniencing them, so I just let it go. A FEW DAYS LATER... I noticed a few of the inspection services they said were done, had NOT been completed. My receipt said my wiper fluid was filled, but it was empty. Said my power steering fluid was checked, but it was only 1/4 full. I have no leaks, so the reality is that the technician was lying, saying he completed the task when he had not. That's unacceptable. If people can't follow simple guidelines, they need to be taught, warned, then let go if they don't improve. I called to confirm the details of the service, and the main Walmart receptionist transferred me to auto. It rang for 12 mins. TWELVE! It was just after 9am, so hardly a busy time. She checked in occasionally, continually apologizing that they weren't picking up. Meanwhile, I was on my way to the shop. I thought they must be busy. As I arrived, I hung up, not needing to wait any longer, or so I thought. There were only 2 vehicles in the bay and none waiting. I got out. No one came to me. I went to them. No one said anything. I asked if someone could help. They said they'd be with me in a moment. I walked inside and waited for 5 more mins. Someone came in and asked me to wait outside by my car. I walked outside and waited. Finally, a nice older gentleman helped me. I told him the issue, and wondered aloud if any of the checks had been done. He said he'd look into it. He topped off the fluids and said he checked everything else. He told me that the battery was actually low and needed to be replaced, unlike the original receipt that said it was tested and good. I decided not to buy at the time, as it still has some juice in it. I had already wasted over an hour of my work time on this. What a mess. Dishonesty and carelessness have prompted this 1-star review. When we put our vehicle into your hands, we trust you'll do what we're paying for. When you don't, that trust is quickly lost and difficult to recover. read more

I went in to return some "fresh cut melon" that tasted like it had been washed in dirty sink water and was standing in the return line where there was 2 people behind the counter but only one was helping customers the other was only helping the other employee. A lady walked in the front door ( I could see it from the line) put her hands over her mouth and threw up all over the floor then left without saying a word. I called over to the greeter at the exit and told her and she slowly walked over to begin putting wipes over it. But that didn't do it of course. She called for the janitor I guess it was but he was at lunch so didn't come for at least 15 min. that I saw. Meanwhile people walked threw it with carts and strollers and dragged it all over the store. I was going to do some shopping but decided against it. I know policies have lightened but this store may be carrying it a little to far the wrong way. read more
