I hate going to Walmart. Although I visit here once a month I dread it. Pharmacy- they are terrible. My scripts never seem to be ready or in stock. The highlight is a nice blonde girl who works the counter. Super nice. Don't buy your meats, dairy, or produce there. Produce go to sprouts, dairy and eggs trader joes, and meat often chicken at sprouts and beef elsewhere. Only pantry items are cheap grocery. And don't get conned there either. I limit my Walmart to household goods which are poorly stocked and then spend a crazy amount of time in line checking out only to dodge the begging homeless leaving the store and getting to my car. read more

Both of the Oceanside Walmart's are terrible. All other stores have managed to work out a system for Covid but they remain rude and will not take clothing back. Target is taking clothing returns and they employees go above and beyond to make your experience positive. This is the one ( of THREE) Walmart in Oceanside that I call the "Good one". I occasionally drift into one of the others and then ask myself "Self, why do you do this to yourself?". Just stick with this one. The shelves are always stocked and they always have the regular things I want and I usually find something I didn't even know I wanted. The staff is friendly (for Walmart) and the store always seems to be clean. If you need toilet paper, bacon and a quart of motor oil at 10pm..This is your place! I did have an issue a couple years ago where I bought milk and when I got home half of the gallon had leaked out through the loose cap THROUGH my rear seat and saturated my carpet. NO BUENO! The store Manager at the time (not there anymore) stepped up and had the interior of my truck detailed to get rid of the stains and stench of sour milk. YUCK! I know... Walmart is bad.. Nothing against the prices or the people that work there, but I've been harassed by people in the parking lot there a few times, most recently on my last visit. A kid came up behind me while I was unloading groceries into my car to try and get me to buy magazine subscriptions for the troops, after trying to win me over with compliments. I refused, he told me that I "must hate America" because I didn't want to support the troops and after finally shaking him off, I heard him say sarcastically, "wow." I have nothing against the people who stand outside and sell things but don't bother anyone. But it's unsafe to come up behind people in parking lots who are just trying to go home, especially in this day and age, especially in the aggressive manner this individual did. read more

Over 20 cashier lines and you're lucky to have 3 or four open when it's really busy. Needs some management changes. Also seems like stocking the items is really a mess. Stops people randomly to check before they even go out the door. Cosco does this to make sure you're a member on your receipts. Asked manager why they are doing this and he replied it was company policy. So I asked him what if I refused he said then just walk away. This is almost crossing the line to discrimination if you only ask certain people. There has always been a management problem and it still exists. By the way there is no company that would allow them to mess with your rights to privacy. Company policies are set for company personnel not the public. read more

This Walmart is by far one of the best ones that I've been too. Never a long line, lots of staff at the check stand so you don't have to wait. They are actually friendly here! They are sometimes out of stock on things (but other Walmarts have been worse on that) the Marron Rd. location is larger and does have more of a selection but much longer lines there. read more

I come here all the time. Never have any issues. It's typical for Walmart, good inventory of bulk items, packaged goods, and household items, low prices, and sub average produce compared to Sprouts or Frazier Farms. Parking is decent and lines are as expected. What stands out at this particular Walmart store is the customer service. I've never had a bad experience with customer service here, but I've had a few really exceptional customer service experiences. One in particular worth mentioning... I lost my brand new iPhone 8Plus in the store. Stupid me, I put in on a shelf so that I could look at a product and then I got distracted and walked away from it. I didn't discover that I lost my phone until I got to my car (about 5-10 minutes later). Knowing exactly where I left it, I ran into the store and of course, it was gone. I found a manager (I wish I could remember his name) but he was so awesome, he dedicated himself to helping me find my phone. He even let me log into his personal iPhone so that I could find my phone using the locater app. We could see my phone was still in the store and we searched the store like investigators trying to follow the indictor on the locater app and asking everyone in our paths if they saw my phone. Eventually, a loss prevention specialist for Walmart joined our search (he was super nice too) and he even reviewed surveillance footage to help me track it down. This search went on for about 30 minutes. And yes, they found my phone!! Best day ever!! These guys went way above and beyond and they were super nice and reassuring while helping me find my phone. They kept saying they understood the importance of finding my phone, and couldn't imagine losing their phones... That's the kind of REALNESS I value in people, let alone customer service reps. Way to go Walmart! We need more people like you. Thank you! You totally made my day!! read more

Lowest prices... This place also sells food, fruits, and veggies. Also has a vision center and McDonalds inside. Place was not overly packed with people and there was plenty of parking available. I always go to Walmart for my candy, snacks, healty, and beauty needs. read more

HE NEW PICK-UP SERVICE! USE IT!!!!! Oh my goodness. I decided to use the new online order/pick-up service for my groceries today. The ordering went smoothly. I was skeptical that the pick-up part would match - as I was unfamiliar with what to expect. We followed the instructions on the Grocery App - the location service knows when you've arrived (you can even designate the color of your vehicle). We easily were directed to the pick-up parking area by the orange pick-up signs. We waited just a couple minutes and sure enough, AMBER opened the orange door and rolled our order out to our car. She loaded our groceries and then patiently answered our questions about the service, and explained everything about our order. My husband and I were mouthing 'WOW' to each other while she was serving us. I know it's just groceries - but I'm telling you TRY THE SERVICE! You may never push another wobbly cart through the aisles again! read more

Not too shabby of a location on the far end of the Jefferson St & Vista Way shopping plaza with Stater Bros, Bed Bath & Beyond, World Market, Best Buy. This Walmart is gigantic and relatively clean with heavy security on the entrances to make for a slightly unpleasant experience. I came mostly looking for items in their outdoor garden center, which was poorly stocked and had very few plants and soil amendments. I did find one cool, hard to find plant that was incorrectly labeled from the nursery, so that was fun. read more

If you are out of towners like us, note that they charge 10 cents per reusable bag they give you with your groceries. They are nice bags though and can be reused up to 50 times. I'm super frustrated with this Wal-Mart. My boyfriend and I went in to buy some stuff for his upcoming camping trip with his friends. He wanted to buy a six pack for the trip and since he was purchasing I did not bring in my purse. I was made to go out to the car and find my ID just so my boyfriend (who is in his 30s mind you) could buy a six pack. Not only was this inconvenient but the cashier was exceptionally rude about it. All she had to do was be polite and I would have gone to grab it without a second thought. This is the main walmart i go to because its close to my house. But they suck! Rude, ran by mostly young people, no one knows crap, and their bathrooms are gross. I contacted walmart a couple months ago about a racism issue the janitor had with my mom because she was white and not Hispanic. For that reason she wouldn't allow my mom to use the bathroom she literally shoved a cart in front of my mom and wouldn't let her in while speaking in spanish as if my mom was dumb. I cant stand how terrible their produces are here. Usually all wilted and almost dead. The meat section is also filled with pretty bad meat. I would not shop here for either. If u are in need of cleaning supplies and houshold things this is a pretty good place to shop. I dont do much grocery shopping here since the quality of the produces suck and i like to get all the grocery shopping done at once. I also will say the people outside asking for money are pretty annoying. I know they are for a good cause but if people want to give for a good cause they will find one they like. AUTO SHOP/TIRE SHOP : I came in yesterday night OCT 20th at roughly 6:30pm. I was greeted by 2 of what i feel are the best walmart employees ! Alex & Sala My car pulled up on a flatbed. My car is a 2010 satin pearl white subaru legacy. My rear left wheel fell off of my car while on the 78 east transition towards san marcos. I was on the side of the road for over an hour an a half waiting for the tow truck. I was frantic and really upset. I love my car she is my everything. when i pulled up with my car on my flatbed the 2 guys ( alex & sala ) were kind and willing to help me. they instantly when i pulled up walked up and listened to my story of what had happened earlier that day. after listening to my story they sprung into action, my car on the back of the flat bed had no wheel on was on pieces of wood. My sockets were bent , they used a tool an bent them back. they told me the threads in my socket had pieces of the lug nuts in them. there were no lug nuts left on the car for that wheel. they looked around their shop for lug nuts that would fit the car . they found lug nuts an used the impact wrench to get them to thread to the sockets. I told them i had bought lug nuts from pep boys the night before. they also realized there was a spacer on the hub from my other wheels an let me know this could be why the lugs came off. after spending a good amount of time trouble shooting the wheel / hub assembly on the wheel that fell off. they put the car back down on the ground torqued the lugs then told me take a spin around the parking lot so they can check it again. after doing that they then looked at the opposite wheel so my rear right. then they noticed those lugs were super loose too they took the wheel off an noticed the lugs were stripped an switched out my lug nuts on that wheel too. they asked where i got these lug nuts they said there the wrong ones for the car. i told them pep boys an they said you need new lugs. they also noticed there was a spacer on this wheel as well. they took it off an spent another 20-25 minutes on this wheel as well. these guys didn't have to help me I showed up an hour before they had to close shop or be out of there with the shop cleaned at 8pm an walmart being the huge company that it is they don't want you working over time especially if its for a non paying random person. they still helped me , not only helped my car but helped me calm down greeted me with a smile an happy positive environment. where i as a person / customer felt at ease i wasn't worried i trusted them I drove home ( back to mission viejo/orange county) the car did fine made it home with no further issues. now with a wheel on the car i can get it on a flatbed an take it to a shop in the area for further inspections. It felt very nice to find people in the world that are still good people. these 2 guys Alex & Sala are major representations of good people doing good things not for a response or reaction but because it was what was right. I asked alex why he helped me he said he couldn't let me leave like that with no wheel on the car an getting a ticket in the parking lot. again shows a good person overall i couldn't have asked for a better experience which sounds weird cause my wheel literally fell off while driving but after interacting with these guys it made it all good ! I appreciate everything these guys did! I had to write a review for it! I made it home safe an sound! an am very thankful to have been blessed to come across these 2 wonderful people! read more

Went to Walmart today around 9pm with my gf and bought a new PS4 controller and a video game for us to play. We got Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare for us to play and we got home and THERES NO DISC!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid the vision center! Every step of the entire process has been horrible! 1. Arrived for the exam - the receptionist insisted that I was at the wrong Walmart and tried to send me down the street. After arguing with her that I was in the right one and proving to her that I had made an appointment by showing her my call history on my cell phone was finally enough to actually have her check the appointment book. She did and I was there. Oh, I wish it had just stopped there! 2. Charged me for a contact fitting, FOR CONTACTS THAT I WAS ALREADY WEARING!! For anyone who doesn't know, a contact fitting is for those that are trying new contacts. Since I was happy with my current brand and expressed this clearly, they saw an opportunity to rip me off and "charge me" for a pair of contacts that I was already happy with. 3. The optometrist was sooooo lazy that she actually didn't measure my eyes or give me much of an exam, but rather made me call home and have me read off my current box of contacts showing my eye diameter and strength. 4. I have eye insurance, well....they didn't tell me that they only put in for insurance once a year (their policy not my insurance's policy). I ordered only the minimum thinking that I could come back when I needed to do so. When it was time for new contacts, I was completely stonewalled. The person on the phone called me a liar and said there was no way that someone didn't mention that to me. Again, not my insurance's policy, just their lazy staff not wanting to put in the claim again. Basically, too bad...you lost your benefits! Be very, very careful, the VisionCenter is ripping people off, avoid them unless you have money to burn!!!! read more

The older man who did try to help me ( i didnt catch his name) was very nice, but had limited knowledge on the phone i wanted to upgrade to. Mike refused my upgrade because he said i needed a major credit card which is not true. I have an existing accout with a carrier so all he needed was my ID. I confirmed this with another walmart. Jene on the other hand, looked right past me when i was standing in front of her asking for help with the phones. She did not budge. Just ignored me, acting busy. She wasnt even helping anyone.
