Good store most of the time. Close to home, run over about 3x a week. Most staff very helpful when you find them. Merchandise in the grocery section is not available, have had this issue with water, bread, 7up, and some cookies numerous times. Restocking very slow. Or it could be I just miss out. Some prices missing, would love more price scanners all over the store, they only have two and this is Super Walmart. Did notice a few times on there busiest time management hanging out yapping. I come to this Walmart every 2 weeks to get a couple money orders and every time I stop in the same people are always working! Ginger and Freda are ALWAYS working the customer service area when I come in. They always have great attitudes regardless of the death stares from the customer service line. I've watched them deal with some miserable and rude people so I hope they get a little recognition! read more

I been to lots of Wal-Mart's and its not something I look forward to. Usually, I just get through the experience because I can get what i need for cheap. This location was especially unorganized in the parking lot and check-out was the same. The self check out kept acting up and no one eas around to help. Great Wal-Mart, especially in the North Phoenix area. When I lived here during my high school years, we always came here. It's a relatively clean Wal-Mart when compared to other Wal-Marts across town. Believe there are some pretty trashy ones. Generally, it's pretty clean and has a wide selection of things that are cheap. If you are looking for a pretty good Wal-Mart in the North Phoenix area this is it. read more

This is for the auto center. Had to come back and waste a chunk of my day, with two sick kids (and getting sick myself), due to the fact that when I had my old changed last week, they did not correctly torque something or other...causing me to leak oil. Granted they fixed it. But student mechanics know better. Stupid me, I came here because I thought it would be "convenient"! I only go here because it is the closest store to my house that sells groceries. The cashiers are super slow and/or dumber than a box of rocks. I don't even bother asking for help in the store cause you can never find anybody, and a lot of there produce is spoiled or moldy, especially the blueberries. This store has a McDonalds in it, but the people that work there are even dumber and slower than the Walmart cashiers. Plus the cops are ALWAYS outside the store arresting someone which to me makes me feel like I am back in downtown Phoenix. Would somebody PLEASE build a real grocery store closer to me at some point. As far as walmarts go, this one gets 5 stars, overall though 4 stars. It's clean, staffed by semi competent employees and about as well stocked as a Walmart gets. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is the inconsistency in the baby items department. It's the only department where the products are constantly changing. The medicine portion is unorganized and almost always sold out of whatever you bought there the last time, and need more of. read more

Got here to get an oil change. They are kinda busy, but only 2 cars in the bays. I am told it will be 40 minutes... Here I sit 40 minutes later PLUS another 40. I sat here watching for 30 minutes while no one even went near my car. Not a happy girl at the moment. read more

I have never been a WalMart fan, but (Aug. 18th, 2014) today I needed an immediate oil change, so I decided to give WalMart auto department a try. Once I arrived I found the prices to be similar with local competition. Once the WalMart employee took down my information he quoted me 45 minutes for the oil change, which I thought is a little long due to the fact that I was t he only car there. Once he took my key I noticed another car pull up that the same employee went to greet. I patiently waited the 45 minutes only to see that my car is still in the working bay, so I continued to wait another 10 minutes. At this point I went to check if my car has been finished because at this point I noticed they were working on two other cars. The employee came back to say, "nope not done yet. There about to start on it." As you can guess I was not happy and for my keys because I couldn't wait anymore. It took them another 10 minutes to pull my car out of the bay because they didn't know how to drive a manual. The auto department manager Nick just looked at me as if I was in the wrong. Do yourself a favor and avoid this auto department and the store because obviously their managers could care less about customer service. Go Target! read more

Theres only so many places that one person helps you and makes a stressful situation so at ease. I only wish i remembered the employees name? When i went to return my steam vac at the original store i had purchased the manager was rude and sent me away but the help and kindness i recieved from this location was excellent. I recently purchased a Canon ink and paper combo pack at Wal Mart 2501 West Happy Valley Road in Phoenix, AZ. When I opened it, it was clearly damaged and had been tampered with. I tried to return it to Wal Mart and because it had been ONE WEEK from the purchase, they would not directly refund me my money (even with original package and receipt). I was told if I had returned it within 24 hours I would have received a refund, but I had waited too long. I just called Canon regarding my issue and received nothing but wonderful customer service. While I will not be using Wal Mart again, I will always be a happy and loyal Canon customer. read more

I love going to Walmart! But I recently moved up closer to the Happy valley location and I hate that Walmart.. I can go in there for one thing and come back out 2 hours later, still with only that one thing. There's always kids running weaving in and out of Isles and people.. And the adults are rude too.. I see kids running around without shirts on and a tween who had a bra and shorts but not a shirt. Over all when someone asks me to swing by Walmart on my way home I have to mentally prepare myself to go in. I don't like it at all! I'd rather go out of my way to go to a different location. read more

The customer service here at this location was beyond miserable . The snarky comments the managers (Slo, David) threw my way were extremely unprofessional. While trying to resolve my issue both managers turned their backs, grabbed my item I wanted to buy and left me sitting in the isle. I left empty handed and extremely angry. I'm seven months pregnant and got more diapers than I can use at a baby shower. I just lugged them into Walmart at Happy Valley in the 110 degree heat only to be told they will only take $25 worth of merchandise back. Their store must underperforming pretty badly to have to make that kind of a rule, no doubt due to their poor management. How embarrassing for them. This location is convenient for me but I can't stand having to come here. There is never anyone even trying to help. There have been multiple occassions where I've turned around saying "I need to ask somebody" and there would be an employee right there and they just walk away, don't ask what you need help finding or anything. And if you do ask, they are not specific. It's just not good customer service in my opinion. And they have very limited check out lines open when there are tons of customers. It's very frustrating. If they are that busy of a store they should hire more people to work on the registers because it's a real pain. read more

I have never personally visited the location, but my 13 yr old daughter just did. I sent money to her via MoneyGram. She has a school ID and American Express with her picture on it, but was told by Tatiana that she must have a California ID to retrieve money. She's a minor you Twit! My daughter attends boarding school in AZ so I called two managers to ask for assistance. I first spoke with Tray who took too long to resolve things and then Kerry who eventually got things taken care of through a call to MoneyGram. The ordeal took 40 minutes. My daughter had a 1 hour time frame to shop. I felt like common sense should have dictated how this situation was handled. I sent money from California to a minor. She had picture ID and school staff available, if necessary, to verify her identity. How many minors carry state issued ID? Luckily the situation was resolved to my satisfaction, but Geez! This is for the helpful guys in the service shop. I pulled up for tire pressure check and my car wouldn't go out of park. All 3 guys in the service area came over, tried to see if they could help and eventually we figured out it was a safety switch that got hit sometime the day before. Before they figured it out they gave suggestions for cheaper parts, cautioned me on parking etc. They were beyond helpful and wouldn't charge me for their time. Super guys and most of all very nice to this panicked driver. read more

I've been coming here for five years. I live close by and have 4 kids so 24/7 super mart is something I am grateful for. Before moving here target was the 24/7 supermart next to me, soI didn't have much previous experience with Walmart's prior to this one. But I always get the feeling that the employees here are extremely miserable. Every single one of them, except maybe the customer service people,who I really don't have a single nice thing to say about. There are patterns with the employees of the month and I don't think they reflect a healthy or inclusive environment. I just wrote it off that it's Walmart and it has the reputation that it does for a reason. Then I had to stop at the Walmart in metro center because my daughters flip flop broke. I was blown away by how friendly everyone seemed, there was team work and not obvious toxic behavior and clearly defined cliques. I wish that Walmart was in my Walmart's place. Corporate should probably investigate the manager or whoever runs this Walmart because I shouldn't actually feel bad for the employees by just looking at the despair in their faces. They didn't even perk up when the minimum wage went up. They're miserable and I feel terrible for them. It is actually a reason I look forward to moving. This Walmart is the worst Walmart I have ever been to that is so disrespectful. Many of the staff don't even ask for help and when you do they barely know what the heck they are doing. I visited yesterday and when I asked this guy for help on the TV's I could swear he was on drugs or something. I asked for a 39' inch TV and he responded that they didn't have any. After looking around the TV's I saw many brands with a 39' inch TV's. So I decided to order one online that was set for a cheaper price. After ordering that TV they would transfer me from one department to the other until I finally talked to the damn manager. When I first called they had told me that my TV was not there yet when I had just received a text message a few minutes before calling saying it's ready to pick up. I don't understand this Walmart. The cashiers are so slow moving. I would advise you to visit another Walmart for decent service. The one in Anthem is 100 times better! read more
