Called number on sign for curbside pickup. Went to voice mail. Tried again and again in voice mail say nothing about doing a pickup. Only info give was store hours and leave a message after the tone. Went inside and no one knew how to get to the curbside area. Got in a 6 person line at "Customer Service" and tried again. Finally got a human and was able to get my pickup rolling. Don't blame the folks who carry it out to you, it's the management's inability to provide a good service system. read more

When I lived in the central-city, the nearest Wal-Mart was the infamous 38th St/Thomas location. It was a 24hr circus in there, and I avoided it at all costs. As Wal-Marts go, this is one of the better locations. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and uncluttered. Like Amanda G., we live closer to 19/Bell but prefer to go here. The produce is either awesome, or in a bad way...so you can't always get all of your shopping done. Sometimes u have to shop for produce elsewhere - but sometimes it is spectacular. Not sure why its so hit or miss. Bonus points for the auto shop staying late as we drove over in a panic with a tire hissing badly. They checked it out, turned out to be a screwdriver in the sidewall. Unfortunately, it also turned out the tires on the rear weren't from Walmart. Oops, our bad. They still took the time as they closed up to swap it out for the donut in the trunk! I got the tire replaced the next day at the store we had bought them from. I may have to take the screwdriver back to this walmart to show the guys, as I know they were curious as to how it got in there (the philips-head end was sticking OUT of the tire....turns out it was a double-sided driver, went in the tread, came out the sidewall) read more

This is for the Pickup area. Not sure what is happening with this location in the past month have had nothing but trouble with order in the pickup area. I should have known when I pulled into the pick-up lane something was wrong normally the last space to park in is number 5 for parking, today number 10. I parked, checked in and waited, and waited and waited. I watched as a set of blue bins were rolled by my car, heard the employee call someone & as he walked back by with the order names, I could see there was my order guess what he took the orders back into the store. I had to call three times to find out where my order was, a customer near me went into the store & came out with her order because she was tired of waiting. Finally, as I was locking up my car to go inside here came my 14 items order out it was an hour later. We are not into the holiday season yet so what then a 4 hour wait for order pick up. A lady drove by me and told me the night before she waited 90 mins for her pickup. Worst part is the managers and company does not care. This is why I NEVER have signed up for Walmart Plus hate to pay that money each month to have crappy servce read more

We sent photos to be printed here and my wife went to pick them up when they were supposed to he ready. They then informed her that their developing machine was down and that they had been sent to another location AND we had to go to that location to pick them up. No communication, no forewarning - Poor customer service. read more

Worst service ever!!! Assistant Manger Drew is worthless. Refused to assist or even give direction on how to resolve an issue. Walmart.com told me to return my item in store and when I got to the store they said they couldn't return it and to contact Walmart.com. So I contacted Walmart.com and they again told me to return in store. I put the call on speaker phone so the in store associates could hear what I was being told. This went on for an hour and Drew refused to offer any assistance on this conundrum. A simple apology and ownership for the issue and assurance that it would be looked into is what most managers would do. Not Drew she refused to do anything. I'm sure Drew doesn't care but because of her I will not shop at Walmart again. Someone please send Drew to customer service training!!! read more

Disgusted with the way things are handled with this store- I have a service dog, I'm quite young and look very healthy at first glance... but I had a manager come up to me and demanded I left the store saying I was impersonating a disabled person. I have my card!! I have extremely bad PTSD & anxiety and was terrified to walk step into a grocery store. Now that I have my dog it (was) so much easier... now every time I go in there I shake like a lil chihuahua. I will literally drive to union hills or dove valley to go to frys. I've never been treated this way and have been caused so much distress. I contacted customer service and they pretended to care-then, never gave me a call and never responded to my later phone calls and complaints. read more

This is one of the nicer Walmarts around (they do exist). I am not in this area much but I had to stop on my way home to make a return. The customer service rep, Erikka and her manager Tray were very patient and helpful with my return. I did some shopping while I was here. It's a clean store and checkout was quicker than usual. It absolutely improved my impression of Walmart. It's in a good area too. A lot of nice stores and restaurants close by. read more

I ordered toilet paper on line for pick up at this location. I received an email that my package which I paid for last week had arrived. I went to the store and checked in at the kiosk where I waited with 5 other customers for s a bout 20 minutes before an associate came to help us. At that time we were all told out items were in the back and she would get them. After another 15 minutes she returned with everyone's package except mine. She apologized and suggested I leave and they would call me when they found it. I requested speaking with the store manager and if the item was not located I requested the police be called since I had Already paid for the item and it was now in my opinion a theft. 10 minutes later the missing box was miraculously located. If you need a high demand item I would suggest paying the $5 to have it delivered to your house or you may not get it. read more

This is a review of the customer service and bakery department. I went to Walmart on Wednesday to place an order for birthday party cupcakes to pick up on Saturday. I waited 20 minutes for a manager to come over to the bakery department to take my order (the deli called them over several times since the bakery department had gone home it was 5:15). The manager came over he was nice repeated back everything I wanted thought I was good to go. Got a call Saturday morning asking me how I wanted the cupcakes decorated I was so confused about that since I had picked out a picture in their book. I explained what they looked like in the picture and she seemed satisfied, new what she was doing. Saturday I picked up my cupcakes. I got to the bakery department and the lady in charge looked at me, I said I had an order to pick up. She was in no way nice at all and said "What does it look like" I was a bit tongue tied for a second I was ready to give my name. I told her they were colorful cupcakes with sprinkles she looked at another bakery assistant and said they were the ones you did this morning. So she goes to the back and gets them says there for Jennifer I said yes she hands them to me and says are these them and I looked at them and said kind of (they were decorated similar to what I had picked out of the book but where I had asked for 3 or 4 colors they gave me 2 and one was a color I hadn't asked for. She just ignored my response and walked away. I figured whatever its a kids birthday they won't care about the color. Got to the party gave them out then I started getting requests for the frosting to be scraped off. I thought that was strange since I knew most of the kids liked whipped cream frosting which is why that was what I ordered. Nope it was buttercream. Now I know it isn't the end of the world but really I asked for one thing they gave me something else and now all of these cupcakes are getting wasted because the people didn't like buttercream. So I called customer service. The lady on the phone was difficult to understand but I got across that she was VERY rude. I told her what happened and I think what she was trying to get across was to bring the cupcakes into the store so they can check that they were wrong. I said that was fine I would. But really couldn't she have said I'm sorry that happened please bring them in and we will give you a refund etc.... Nope she was just really really rude! Will definitely stick with Target from now on! read more

Don't bother coming to this location for an oil change, and if you do add on at least 2 hours to your quoted wait time. The staff here is consistently joking around and ignoring cars while the lobby is packed. They are unapologetic about their lack of work ethic and it's embarrassing. We were quoted an hour for an oil change and have waited for 3 hours despite our car being first in line. The manager just laughs whenever anybody confronts him about the issue. The rest of the store is very clean and generally a great place to shop, but the automotive section is seriously lacking. read more

Quite frustrating as this is the closest one to us but I will be going to others ones now that I know will have the correct items we need! Also the staff is extremely rude! I would have to say that this is a "typical" Wal-Mart, although this one is reasonably clean. I don't shop here for anything "quality"...mostly the grocery "basics" because the prices are reasonable. However, yesterday I had occasion to experience their customer service. For some reason, I forgot several items in a bag when I shopped on Sunday. There were two items on the list for which I couldn't figure out the code. I was told at Customer Service by Mgr Sade that she couldn't identify the two items either and made no attempt to solve the situation. She acted like I was trying to steal five cups of yogurt and a package of turkey sausage. I was told I would have to get the EXACT items that were missing and bring them to the customer service counter. Apparently when items are left behind they have to be recorded in a "book" at customer service. That wasn't done so she thought I was trying to steal something. Probably, the guy behind me in line went home with extra yogurt and turkey sausage. I was able to identify the other two items on my receipt with the help of two clerks in the meat aisle with electronic devices. They were really helpful and good-humored. Why didn't Sade do that for me? This woman is the poorest excuse for a Customer Service person, much less a Manager, When I went back to the customer service area she scrutinized my items and put them in a bag and promptly turned her back on me. She needs to know that she was a very lucky lady yesterday because she was dealing with an 83 year-old, strong, independent woman who has over 20 years of customer service on her resume,....and on most days I can go toe to toe with this woman with attitude...and I chose not to embarrass her with my "Attitude". Don't you know I'm going to remember this woman EVERY time I shop at Wal-Mart and hopefully she won't have to meet up with me again. Store Manager - take note!! read more

Best customer service I've ever experienced!!! Kayla went above and beyond to help me find a store that had the sound bar I wanted in stock! I had been to 3 stores prior to this one and could not find the particular sound bar that my husband and I wanted. Everyone was sold out! She found a store that had it in stock and she absolutely made my night!! Thank you Kayla, you didn't have to stop stocking the shelves to help us but you did. Not only did you stop what you were doing but you searched several stores and found one that had what we wanted in stock! You deserve a raise girl! read more

I dislike Walmart, shopping here always put me in a bad mood. Thankfully I usually don't have to shop here but unfortunately once in a while when my other favorite super store isn't around I'm forced to suck it up and go there. Well today was no exception. It was gross, dirty, disorganized and didn't carry any decent brands that are actually not full of chemicals, dyes and artificial preservatives. The lines were so long, as usual. They always seem to be out of everything that I need. I like you use the got to be glue hair gel and they never have it in stock. Also I was looking for mini travel size bottles for liquids and they have not had them in stock for a while. It's just frustrating to me, because this is walmart... I live closer to the Walmart on Bell Rd and 19th Ave. but I would much rather go to this one. The 5 minutes of extra driving is worth the time I save being able to shop without the isles and displays being a complete mess. I prefer the people that shop and work here more than other Walmarts. If you're afraid of shopping at walmart because of the sketchy people that shop there, this one's for you. It's far enough north, and surrounded by nicer neighborhoods, so the vast majority of the customers are normal people. It's a Walmart, so they have a little bit of everything, and the prices are pretty competitive, but I think most people know that by now. There is a McDonald's, a nail place, a photo studio, a Desert Schools credit union, a hair salon and a realty place inside. There is also a tire center attached. The employees are a regular Walmart mix: some are very helpful, some just glare at you. It's always been clean and smelled normal in the store, which is more than I can say for most other Walmarts. We do almost all of our grocery shopping at this location, so I have no problem recommending it. read more

I ordered a special cake for my son's first birthday. The lady I worked with when placing the order was great, we went over every detail and all customizable options. When I got there to pick it up,nothing was customized and I could've made a better cake myself at home. There was no filling in the cake, the colors were wrong, there was inches of frosting globed on. They said their cake decorator had called in sick and that it took "4 people to make that, sorry it's been a rough weekend". The cake is terrible, it no longer matches our party. If they weren't able to fulfill my order as specified I should've been notified. The smash cake had cake visible through the frosting, and they had tried to clean up the board it was on with water which once inside the package made it humid and the cake was wet! Now I'm stuck trying to fix a cake 20 minutes before my son's first birthday party. read more

I found myself with a little time because of an early start, so I thought awesome, I'll go to Walmart and return some crap I've been meaning to return. Negative. A haggard and apathetic woman looked at me like I was special and told me they don't do returns until 7am. It was 6am and I was returning $12 worth of merchandise. She then said, "have a nice day" in a tone that clearly indicated that she didn't give a flying f*ck if I had a nice day. Come on Walmart. You mean to tell me that if I had bought something before 7am and 5 minutes realized it was the wrong thing that I wouldn't be able to return it? It's A Walmart. So, don't expect great customer service. But, it's very clean, well stocked, wide isles and the demographic that shops at this location is a bit higher class. So, you won't have to be dealing with other questionable looking and acting customers. My only gripe is that all the smoke detectors in the rear of the store have dead/dying batteries. Beware WIC shoppers this Walmart does not label a single wic participating item nor do they carry whole milk. They will not let you buy any other type of milk nor will they be understanding or helpful toward the fact that nothing is labeled as it should be per wic guidelines. read more

This location is not bad at all. Actually the cleanliness is good. Even the bathrooms are decent. For the most part the staff is really nice compared to other locations. I really like this Walmart and recommend it. You may encounter a rude employee but it's rare unlike other locations.
