They never answer the phone no matter how many times you call. Terrible customer service.

This happened today 1/24/2025 around 8pm. My recent experience at Walmart was disappointing. I was looking for ear muffs and approached a staff member stationed at the fitting room for assistance. She was on her phone and didn't respond when I initially said "excuse me." Thinking she didn't hear me, I spoke louder, but she snapped back, claiming I didn't need to yell at her. Her tone was rude throughout, and when I explained what I was looking for, she curtly said she didn't know what I was talking about and went back to her phone, offering no further assistance. This behavior felt unprofessional and left a very negative impression. Customers should feel comfortable seeking help from staff, and this encounter was far from that. I hope Walmart takes steps to improve customer service and address such behavior to ensure a better shopping experience for everyone. read more

Walmart never displays their appropriate times for the customer service desk. When I asked a manager if she could assist me with a return after I explained I was from out of town. She rudely yelled at me and told me to leave. And she insisted they closed at 10 pm. No signs are posted and online doesn't state the closing time for the desk either. The manager needs an attitude adjustment and should seriously reconsider her job. Walmart as a company needs to do better! Post better signs for closures. I consider myself lucky to be living close to a WalMart. Why are so many people complaining and giving it such a low rating? If you do not like the place go somewhere else. Came in today 12/27/24 and had an awful experience with an employee. My family and i were about to exit Walmart when my 4 year old asked for water that we had just bought. We stood to the side gave him some water, but he ended up drinking too much and choked a bit on the water. He let out ONE cough and approached the employee with his receipt. She told him "I'm not going to take it, so turn it around for me". She kept telling him to hold it up and to turn it around but my child is autistic. He struggles understanding others and was confused on why she wouldn't take it. She seemed annoyed that we were taking to long so my husband grabbed the receipt and showed it to her. She just said "okay you're good but i was not about to touch the receipt". My child was very upset that he didn't get to interact with the employee, especially since he loves talking to them and receiving a happy face on the receipt. I mean come on Walmart. That employees one and only job is to check receipts. If she is that afraid of getting sick then do not work during December through February since that is flu season. She faces many customers and grabs their receipts not knowing if they're sick or not, but not wanting to grab a child's receipt and stating over and over that you were not going to take it was heartbreaking for him. As a mother to an autistic child i don't feel the need to inform her that my child is autistic, and not sick in order for her to do her job and show some respect! read more

Who doesn't love their Walmart? My only problem with this place is that they lock up their cosmetics and their hard alcohol. I can understand it's to prevent shoplifting. But when you press that button to call for help no one ever comes! One time I waited 10 minutes to get a $4 bottle of witch hazel. Another time I waited five minutes and I just left. One time I waited 15 minutes for a bottle of whiskey. The sales associate took the bottle to the front register. Of course after I paid for all my stuff I forgot about it. not sure why these retail centers are still so popular. looked up an item online, they said it was in stocked. showed up (despite parking being a nightmare) asked 3 employees and not one can tell me the isle the section would even be in. finally went to customer service in the front and they told me the item is discontinued. complete waste of an hour and a half of my time. people can just use the cost of gas for Amazon prime, reduce traffic and actually receive their items for a better price! The store itself is pretty good but trying to contact the Porter Ranch location is a nightmare. Went with my dad yesterday and my dad had a question about garden/plants. The coach/manager lady was extremely rude. She starts raising her voice while other kids/families are around us. I had told her to that she did not have to yell. She rolls her eyes and proceeds yelling at my dad. My dad is a senior citizen and has been coming to this Walmart for years and never had an issue with questions being ask or directed. It doesn't hurt to be kind. Walmart you need to do better and hire people that actually display a positive environment. I was very uncomfortable even just to how she was yelling at my dad just imagine what other parents/kids go through with this woman. read more

This Porter Ranch store is big and stays open until midnight, which is very convenient. It offers everything - from fresh produce to home decor, toys, party supplies and jewelry. I thought they for sure would have some unicorn related things like cloths, toys or decorations. Wow, where are the unicorns hiding nowadays? LOL Besides unicorns, I found most of the items that I needed and didn't overpay for anything. I noticed that some cashiers were friendly but some looked really tired and little unhappy. Can't say I blame them though, there were lot of unhappy customers that were complaining about the cashiers being slow. For the most part, this is your go to Walmart. Admittedly I am not a fan typically of the company but this location I do make exception. It's easy to navigate, very large with a big selection and easy parking. About as good as it gets for a Wal Mart. Customer service is standard and so is cleanliness. read more

And usually that's when I have a video game I want to exchange that I got as a gift but don't have the receipt for (good luck finding another store that'll give you full retail in credit without one these days!). I came here one Friday afternoon and they were in the middle of restocking. I came for a few flu medications and the pharmacy selection looked like it was the apocalypse & it had been picked dry. I've never seen such empty shelf space in a store ever. I got incredibly lucky and was able to grab the last Robitussin they had in stock. How is that possible?! They really need to retrain their staff when it comes to customer service skills. They have no empathy when it comes to treating their customers. On a recent occasion, I was in line to return an online order. Once I get the front of the line, the woman tells me "we are not accepting online returns" and shoos me off. No "sorry" , no "unfortunately " no "i apologize". Not that it matters, geez louise. She doesn't even offer me an Eta Of when I can come back or any other options. Today, I decided to come back to this dreaded place for curbside pickup. Apparently I parked at the "black friday" curbside, so the gentleman sends me to the regular curbside pickup at the front. I drive over there, there is only pharmacy curbside pick up. I see an employee pushing the carts, and I politely ask where to park. He just yells at me "just park over there, whats the big deal" and I told him I was redirected by another staff member, and I dont wanna drive around again in this crowded parking lot. So whatever, I drive around again and I can NOT find the curbside signs. So I park at the pharmacy curbside and call the number. The rude staff member tells me "I dont wanna deal with this today, just park there" WOW. As a supervisor for a call center myself, let me tell you, I would of written that employee up myself for her attitude. Unbelievable. Ultimately I stayed there and got curbside. However as I was driving off, I saw the small small signs for regular curbside, ALL OCCUPIED. Oh and they were BEIGE signs, not ORANGE LIKE The staff kept telling me. Maybe get the color right, make the signs BIGGER so they don't get covered by parked cars, and make more curbside parking spots available. Management: please offer a course of customer service 101. Walmart has a reputation to keep up. Big 1-story building, you can get nearly everything there except good customer service, merchandise is on the shelves haphazardly, and the people who shop there have a few screws loose. That's odd, no one mentioned this to the Walmart at Porter Ranch. This Walmart has the same merchandise for the same prices as any other Walmart. But it's well taken care of, fitting in with the clean, newish neighborhood on the 118 Freeway. Being a Supercenter, it includes groceries, so it's more one-stop shopping than other Walmarts. I can't speak for the customer service, I rarely ask someone where this doohickey is or can they get that whatzit off the top shelf. Clientele? What I saw was typical suburban middle-class, not in line with the store's reputation. I had a very good experience at this Walmart, ranking it up there with the one in Burbank. They never have enough registers open, ever Store is always dirty and ram sacked. The people that shop here are so dirty and rude They should never have opened up in our neighborhood. Third party vendors have become super aggressive at this store. I understand they have a job to do. As someone who used to do this job in the past, there are rules you have to abide by in order to maintain a good rapport with the location. You're encouraged to engage with friendly conversation to talk about the product you're promoting. If the customer is not interested, you thank them for their time and stop your presentation. What you don't do is follow them as they're shopping, corner them, or harass. Not an isolated incident, but has happened multiple times already to the point where it makes me uncomfortable to shop here. read more
