I've been to many Walmarts and include several dozen visits to this one. With the exception of the pharmacy which has treated me very professionally, this one is noticeably inferior to those others. Being a big store, I often need assistance finding what I want. Here in particular, the staff is ill-equipped to answer me. I often have to speak to three or more folks to find something and often then give up. There seems to be a lack of store knowledge, difficulty in communicating English, or a general surliness. I might tend to blame this on a difficult local neighborhood labor market, but I don't find such poor customer service at any of the other big retailers nearby. Secondly, there is usually stock, trash, and debris blocking several aisles virtually every time I visit. This is unacceptable and wonder why management has allowed this situation to persist for several years -- easily my worst Walmart experience! read more

This WalMart is the worst of the worst. I needed a cheap pair of pliers. I found some in the tool department, locked with the other tools behind plexiglas. They were $4.47 pliers. The first employee I found was on her phone and could not be bothered. We waited at automotive for 20 minutes for someone to open the cabinet, and was then told I would have to pay for that item at the automotive counter, rather than with our other items up front. We left the pliers there. This was similar to the last time when I was there and had to just go ahead and cut my own fabric at the crafts department and then convince someone at the front registers to make up a price. I am done shopping at this store. Today, many shelves were empty, even though the online app showed the item in stock. This was not a random occurrence, either. In Pharmacy, Sure Unscented stick deodorant empty. Laxatives were empty (nearly the entire shelf space). Frozen - Gardein Crispy Orange Chik'n empty (and still with the wrong pricing). Produce - parsnips empty. All of those items showed that they were in stock. It gets even worse - my poor wife needed to use the restroom urgently at the front of the store, but it was being cleaned. She waited for nearly five minutes until the lady cleaning came to the front. "Can I please use the restroom?" "There is another at the back of the store." "You don't understand. I won't make it and there will be a puddle." The lady then took out a rubber glove, filled it with water, dumped the contents on the floor in front of my wife, then went back inside. Luckily, the mens room was empty and she used ghat while I kept watch. While we were shopping, I asked one of the online pickers if he knew if there were any more Gardein Crispy Orange Chik'n in the back. "Who knows - no one ever restocks the shelves in this store and I'm always having to no pick items that show are in stock." I then asked about the attitudes of fellow employees , and he responded quietly "Let's just say there are a lot of people who really don't like working here." I think that says it all! read more

Great place for a morning walk, but hey if you're going to lock up all the merchandise then you need to have someone at the ready with a key, or at least someone who responds in a timely manner when PAGED. My all-time favorite one stop shop. From birth control to coffins (if they fail on the first one they can accommodate you with the last one). Nothing says "success" better than a gourmet meal that you made from a $10 or less ingredients that you picked up at Walmart. You get what you pay for and at times even more. Don't expect anyone to answer questions or to know where to locate an item. Also, you will always feel that you are dressed to the nines and that you have the best dental plan. Aug 20, 2021 after leaving the Walmart store on Second Street, I went to the Walmart on Kietzke Lane, Reno, NV. I waited 22 minutes before I left the store waiting in Customer Service line. There was only 1 person handling for the monies, and 1 person ONLY for returns. There were many other people on the floor but NOT TRAINED for customer service, to handle money or returns. Those on the floor were standing around twiddling their thumbs, almost like security officers with nothing to do. Money Service was closed when I got their after 6pm. WALMART WORKRS R NOT UR SLAVES, DOORDASH.!!!! The moment I walked in, I asked the greeter where to go for pickup ( I was a first timer on door dash ) , and the greeter ignored me completely. The customer service agent then helped by walking me to the self checkout and then YELLING across the way and saying "HEY SHE NEEDS HELP", but at least that got the job done. Oh, boy and then there's Bruno. He too, ignored me initially, and I had to said "is the pickup for So/So ready?" And he said "it will be", it was crass. I asked if I could pull up the the pickup and he told me no, and that when it is ready he would give me it. I told him that he was being rude, unhelpful and that I simply didn't understand the process. Then Bruno said : "what did I NOT answer your question?" After that I left and cancelled my order. Later in my shift I got another order from there and saw Bruno again. I tried not to speak as I typed in the number on the kiosk, the screen said it was all ready to go - just grab from the attendant. I asked if I could please grab "John and Mary's" and Bruno said that when he was ready he would give them to me. I waited 30 seconds, I saw their orders in his hand and said "you're going to hold them hostage aren't you?" he said nothing about the orders, but that I was "immature, dumb and attacking in some way; therefore, was calling the manager." He then proceeded to tell me that "door-dashers cannot treat walMart staff like slaves" and that I needed to "be quiet" and not open my mouth until I was spoken to! Because I'm a child of course. Everything was fine in the end because Bruno called the manager, intuitively knowing to, almost like it had happened before. Just wanted to do a quick shout out for Gabriella Amurao. She was the attendant at the self-serve checkouts on Friday April 14th. I got done checking out and realized I forgot my wallet. I called her over to ask her if there was any other method I could use like Google pay or something she said no but she offered for me to send her the money personally and she would pay for it. Gratefully I went ahead and got on my bank account and sent her the amount but she wasn't able to get it. There was a big mix-up between that and PayPal and all that. I don't want her to get discouraged for doing good things for people what she did was above and beyond for what an employee would do for their customers. We need more good people like Gabriella. Have not been to this Walmart in over two years because service was so bad. And it has not changed. I am writing this review from the check out line as I have so much time because only 2 check stands are open and at least 20 people are waiting. I refuse to use self checkout and even those have lines. There is no excuse for this. I see employees just walking around, why not open a new check out. Was there last week shopping for an elderly friend. Only needed to get a few specific items. Checkout was ridiculous...worse than at our Big Box Stores. No checkers AT ALL. Took me 20 minutes to get out of the store with 4 items. Problem is many people don't know how to use self-check, don't have a viable credit card, need assistance with produce or unpackaged items. Workers needed to be called over and there are FEW of them. Going to try smaller stores and have more bulk items delivered to my door by Amazon. Geez...thanks for letting me vent. read more

The day before I went I made an appointment for an oil change at 10am on a Friday. The email confirmation said to pull up to the bay and show the barcode in the email and they would get you started. I told the mechanics in the bay that I had a 10am appointment and they told me to go inside. Strike 1. Behind the counter inside there were 4 employees helping one customer. I got in line behind one other customer. 15 minutes went by and no one behind the counter even acknowledged there was a line, now 4 people long. At 10:15 an older couple walked in and went straight to the counter and got the attention of one of the employees. He checked them in and took their keys. Still no one in line had even been acknowledged, let alone helped. At this point I spoke up and asked "do we need to wait in line if we have an appointment?" to which 3 of the employees yelled "YES!" That was it for me and two other people in line. We all left and still no one said a word. I'll never go back again. If they can't even run a counter how can they possibly be trusted to work on my car. read more

I regularly shop at my neighborhood Walmart supercenter. Today I was so upset and saddened. They only had self checkouts. NO cashier's. I saw an elderly man with a cart of groceries looking for a cashier. I approached him and asked if he knew how to use the self checkout and he said no. I quickly got a Walmart worker to scan his groceries and help him pay. I don't think Walmart took into account that many of the elderly can't do self checkouts. I hope they will think about this next time they have zero cashier's! read more

Either trust people to use the self checkout or put the miserable bums checking receipts on a register instead. Ronaldo (or Rolando?) some old guy was checking receipts and we said "no thanks" and kept walking, he grabbed the cart and forced our receipt from my husbands hands to prove we paid for a $40 vacuum. You're not required to show them your receipt, and they're not allowed to grab your cart like that while basically chasing you out the door. Anyways we showed him on the receipt (there were a lot of items) where it shows we paid for the vacuum and kept walking. He then removed his face mask and yelled at us. Not sure what he said as he has a strong accent but I had my INFANT in a carrier on my body and he removed his face mask and yelled in our faces? After we showed him the receipt, specifically for the vacuum he was yelling about? After loading the overpriced, paid for groceries into the car I went back into the store because his behavior was unacceptable and I wasn't going to let him get away with it. A bunch of people pretended to care, said their manager James would be in touch the following day and took down our information, nobody ever called. On our way out he said "f you" to my husband, and tried following us out the store while removing his tough guy baby blue vest and some old woman he was working with grabbed him. Remind you I had an infant in a carrier attached to the front of my body and this "man" was behaving like that. Also was he wearing a face mask because he's sick? Because he removed it and yelled in our faces getting his nasty spit on us. You work for Walmart, not Louis Vuitton. Get over yourself. Like I said trust customers to do it ourselves or put these people on the registers. read more

Overall this Walmart is clean and has a large variety of products. Products and Selection They do run out of items occasionally so have a backup store just in case. They've got a pretty decent selection of items. Just about everything you would need to survive in this world is located there from groceries to pharmacticals to clothes to electronics. They can be a one stop shop. Lines This Walmart is notorious for having long lines. If you're trying to get in and out in a hurry I'd suggest going else where, maybe the Walgreens down the street off Moana and Virginia. Customer Service Customer service usually leaves something to be desired but just keep your expectations low and you'll always be a happy shopper here. read more

But I wasted an hour with this burner phone only to be told by t-mobile Customer Service the employee at wal-mart forgot to scan the Service Plan Pin. Making the phone AND card useless. And because t-mobile call center employees are working from home, I can NOT immediately activate my plan. Useless customer service told me to just go back to wal-mart and have them scan the card. This is unacceptable on both t-mobile and wal-mart. Honestly people, if your cashiers are selling mobile access cards and not scanning them, you are making customers come BACK to your store because of your employee's incompetence. read more

Honestly i love going to walmart for just about anything even if its to get away time from home!! I am a stay at home mom of 4 so going to get groceries can be really difficult at times but thanks to the walmart membership i can place an order and get my groceries delivered at home!! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who cant go get their own ive also tried the walmart pickup and they are awesome, it does take a bit for them to come out but please remember you arent the only person to order an order!! By far the worst walmart I've been too. They lock up everything but don't hire enough staff to keep up with the unlocking so half of your visit is waiting around. Then of course, the exhausted employee is over the workload so now you have to deal with the attitude. Just unpleasant. read more

I have to go here for my Rx's, no other option but this exact Walmart...and that is usually a pain. The mobile express doesn't work for returns, pharmacy pickup, or online Pickups at the tower anymore. So pretty much you checkin for everything on the app..and then still wait. It was improving when I could get my items from the tower, but now they've been sticking them in the back, so you wait until someone has time and interest in helping you. The latter being the most critical here... My biggest pet peeve, and I know it's not going away, is them going through my bags and touching my food to scan "1 item" and scanning my receipt. If you take away all or most of the cashiers and then require a lady to check and scan my receipts, she should be sanitary and wearing gloves. I now own the food that she's touching, and I just watched her touch other people's receipts after they've handled money, yes....I have an issue with that. Gross... If I chose to use Walmart pay on my phone, again, MY PHONE. At no point should anyone being snatching my phone to check a receipt. The receipt is visible, loss prevention should've been watching the checkers or me bagging my groceries, no need for you to go through more loss prevention steps unless your surveillance is inadequate? Think about the logistics of the process....it's freaking so inefficient and I hate it. read more

This is a huge Walmart and it feels like they have everything! The staff seems okay, but the other customers are like a full array of humanity. She delivered my order with promptness and a kind smile. They made it truly the best shopping experience ever! I was in and out in about 5 minutes. No crowds, no stress and they were truly helpful! Today was my last time shopping at this lousy Walmart location. I go on Sunday mornings because it is not busy. I went today (sunday) and it was not busy. There many employees on the floor trying to look busy. Since most of their product is locked up in cases now, you have to find an employee with the key to what your looking for. In this case paint. I kept asking employees if thay had the key to the paint. All of them replied "no" with no offer to call someone or find another employee with a key. Finally I walked over to photo, and the guy said he would call someone which i heard him do over the speaker in the store. I waited 20 minutes as several employees walked by ignoring me and never asking if i needed help finding anything since i clearly looked confused and perturbed. No body ever showed up so i finished some other shopping and came back to the area of the paint. Now there were no employees to be found. I left without the paint I needed for a project and Walmart wasted a good hour of my time. Absolutely no care at this store about customer service. Prior to this time, I notice on a weekly basis how this store is out of so many things. This store is just not well run. read more

I checked out with a cashier thinking it would be better since I had my toddler in the cart and my baby in her carrier on me. To make a long story short, we had gone to this Walmart only because we were in the neighborhood. I've never been to this one before. Sadly the cashier who I went to didn't even make sure I left with all of my items I paid for and she charged me twice for an item for my daughter. I caught that but unfortunately didn't leave with the rest two items. Why would she let me walk away and not check all the bags on the bag carrousel? Next time I will do self check out or have everyone hear my screaming kids while I triple check that everything I paid for made it back into the cart with my kids. The only thing that gets frustrating at times is that they check your receipt when leaving which takes time if there's a line. The grocery section of the store is atrocious. Each time I shop, I've found expired foods from 3 months prior. Carefully check your expiration dates if you choose to shop for groceries here. Yes, even shelf items, such as rice etc. The dairy/yogurt has it the worst every single time so I don't buy certain items from Walmart anymore.
