If I could give this store negative stars I would. This store IS NEVER stocked. It is almost as if it is closing. They are not opened 24 hours anymore. So you would think for those 6 hours they are not opened they knew how to stock. Nope... I Love this Wal-Mart. The employees are ALWAYS Kind and Caring. Today we rubbed elbows with Excellence. For an entire week I tried to find a wheelchair. Sound easy? It is not. My surgery is literally tomorrow. I called the Pharmacy after being let down by the Walgreens and Walmart in Sparks, where I live. I called this Wal-Mart and was told the only wheelchair left was a display model. I shouted "I'll Take It!!! The clock was ticking. 3 buses later we arrived at Wal-Mart including a long walk up a steep hill. The driver of bus 9 said he no longer went by Wal-Mart. He lied. That story is for another day. The kids at the Pharmacy called the Mighty Stephaan. He easily pulled down the display wheelchair and was Warm and Friendly. We were Smiling Big. So Cared For. 2 more buses later we are home. OK so normally I wouldn't review Walmart and to be honest customer service inside this store is absolutely terrible. What I'm giving five stars to is there pick up service at the Kietzke location, which I've been using a lot since the pandemic started. They make it so easy to shop online and the people who bring your food out to you and handle the substitutions are so nice. Best customer service I've ever received at Walmart. I may never go in again. Two of the staff members who really stood out and made me want to leave this review were Jessica (so personable and awesome my daughter and I both got girl crushes) and Malik (so super sweet, friendly and helpful kid). This is a grocery store. Last week I witnessed two teenagers with a puppy in a cart that relieved himself all over the cart and the shelves in the Clearance Section. There was yellow fluid on the shelves. Yesterday, at customer service, there was a toxic cleanup because of a dog with dysentery defecated all over the floor. It took a while to cleanup the mess to find someone being Walmart is short staffed. I went to this Walmart pharmacy to get my prescription for an inhaler I was wheezing and I was having problems breathing. There was one man there and it was early in the day and I asked the cashier how long it would take because I'm having problems breathing, she said about 30 minutes. There was only one person waiting. I told her I'm going to wait for it and she said ok. That the pharmacists was filling the prescription now. They called the man's name that was waiting. 30 minutes went by and she left and another lady came to the register,the one that was supposed to be filling my prescription. She waited on another person that had come for their prescription. I got in line again and told her the cashier said she was filling my prescription and was it ready? She gave me this hard look and said she had to put it in the bag. She told the pharmacist I was waiting for my prescription and he said her was filling it now. A few more minutes went by and they finally brought it over for a consultation. The pharmacist came over so I told him what had happened and I was complaining because I've been waiting now 45 minutes and I'm not breathing well. He said he was really busy that he was doing other prescriptions I told him they knew I was waiting. I was very mad at this point, I told he he was an asshole and he said what? So I called him an asshole again because this is how you treat their customer when they have a serious breathing problem and your taking you time to fill their prescription. He said don't come back! I told he I wasn't planning on it and I left. leave. So don't go to this pharmacy if you really need your prescription in a life threatening situation.. read more

I rarely complain here as I understand that some people have bad days and bad moments at work. I get it. However, the experience I had tonight was incredibly frustrating and very time consuming. I arrived at Walmart about an hour prior to closing to buy a few groceries and a new bicycle seat. Since the groceries were in the very back of the store, I went to get them first, which took about 10 minutes and then I made my way over to the bicycle section where I found a bicycle seat that I liked. But, unfortunately, the seat was locked up in the transparent case (obviously for security purposes). Right next to the transparent case was a button to push for assistance. So, I push the button and waited for about 10 minutes. Nobody showed up to help me, so I walked to the front of the store and talked to a nice girl in customer service named Ashley who made an announcement over the intercom stating that a customer needed help with bicycle accessories. She then advised me to go back to the bicycle section to wait for somebody to come unlock the case for me. So, I walked all the way back to the bicycle section where I waited for another 10 minutes. Still, and nobody arrived to help me, so I walked back to customer service once again where I explained to Ashley that nobody had arrived to the bicycle section. Ashley then got on to her radio and asked if a manager could help me. About a minute went by and nobody replied to Ashley's request for a manager, so she got back on the radio and more aggressively asked if a manager could help me. About 30 seconds went by and still nobody replied, so she got her cell phone and called the manager. She did not get an answer, so she got on the radio once again and even more aggressively asked if a manager would be able to help me. About 10 seconds went by and in a rude manner, a man named Graden replied that somebody was on their way over to the bicycle section to help me. So, I quickly walked over to the bicycle section where I waited for another 10 minutes without anybody arriving. At this point, which was approximately 40 minutes after the first time I arrived to the bicycle section, the store was just about to close. About 2 minutes later, a gentlemen (who I think was a manager) walked by and asked me if I need some help. I then explained that I need to get a bike seat that's locked in the case and that I had been waiting for approximately 40 minutes. He then explained to me that he was not informed that anybody needed help in the bicycle section and that he was simply walking by when he noticed that I needed help. He then unlocked the case where I was finally able to acquire the bike seat and I made my way to the front of the store to purchase the items. Shortly after purchasing the items, I saw Ashley who genuinely apologized for the long wait. I then made my way outside and arrived to my vehicle five minutes after the store had closed. After digesting this experience, I really appreciate Ashley and all of her hard work. On the other hand, I do not appreciate the manager (Graden) who did not take any action to help me at all. He not only ignored Ashley's request over the intercom, he also ignored her radio requests and phone call. In totality, it took me 15 minutes to get my groceries and 45 minutes to get a single bike seat. The worst and most time-consuming experience I've ever had at a Walmart. Whatever you do, NEVER buy anything big from Walmart online. We bought a 75" SONY TV from Walmart online. They use a shipping company called EFW Shipping. EFW notified us on two separate times to deliver. But EFW failed to show up both times, without calling us. We wasted two whole days waiting for them. They seem to have no remorse. Their phone line is dead. Reaching their chat-line twice, eventually, with no avail. We were so disappointed that we cancelled the entire order with Walmart. But EFW totally ignored the cancellation order and one day they simply dropped the TV off at our front door without our consent or signature. So we went to Walmart online-chat 4 times on 4 separate days to request pick ups (chatted with April Joy on 7/5/21, with Janryll on 7/6/21, with no name on 7/10/21, with Canda on 7/12/21). They were all apologetical and all setup pick up dates with confirmation #s. But all NO SHOWS and NO CALLS. There is no system, control or procedures at all with Walmart online. Worst yet, there is no honesty or accountability to customers. They simply do not care. If AMAZON were to operate this way, they would be out of business a long time ago. Again, please do not order anything big online from Walmart that you could not physically return to the store due to the size or other issues. But I plan to return it no matter much it would take. read more

This store is a joke. Where to begin? Lack of stocking, go get dog food for my 3 dogs who are each over 60lbs and have to get for small dogs because that all they have. So much is behind glass and locked, no big deal right? Only if you can get someone to do their job and give customer service and come unlock it. Don't count on it though. Stood at the hair coloring, yes the hair color is behind glass, for 13 minutes and hit the call button no less than 7 times. Left to get something else on the other side of the store. Came back and the people who were there the first time were still waiting. Finally found someone, had to go looking, and asked for help to be sent over. Still no help. Gave up and went to check out. And there is a story all on its own! Not a single cashier line open, not even the cigarette isle. All self check. And then even only half the lines were open. Waited a full 25 minutes to just get to the register. Lady working up there was overwhelmed big time. Snappy, don't really blame her cause I would be too, and short tempered. Of all the Walmarts in reno this is by far the worst. The store is constantly a mess. Things are in spots they're not supposed to be in with the wrong prices. If you question the price at checkout the staff basically calls you a liar and says you put the product in the wrong place and berates you loud enough for other customers to hear. It's ridiculous. I just thought I would let people know about this....I thought I got a good deal at the Walmart on ketzkie in Reno. Bought a Keurig on clearance. When I opened it, I found this dirty coffee maker not only discusting but it even had hair and loose coffee grounds everywhere. I went to return it and they said it was not the same one from the box and that they check everything they put back on the shelves. They refused to give me a refund. The money is not the problem but the fact. It is a rip off and just want to let everyone know what they are doing. Check your items before you purchase them or go to another Walmart. I was buying a surge protector (it was locked) and my husband went to get a guy. i was like 2 aisles away from where lamar was and i can hear him telling my husband to fall in line if he needs help. I waited in line to return a few items and it was a long line. If I would have know that the wait times have become longer at Walmart I would have never came in to purchase these items. Lines have definitely become worst. I use to like going to Walmart because it was fast an convenient. That is not so much the case anymore. There seem to be a lot of agitated people in line. It just seems like Walmart has really gone down hill. I am really disappointed in their quality and their service. It seems like the staff members aren't happy and moral seems down. I really don't like giving bad reviews but Walmart really needs to fix this problem. I really hope they turn it around. Also I bought a bike here once and rode it around the same day and that day I broke the pedals. I just bought this thing and took it back to Walmart return area and they were like wow. I would highly recommend not to buy anything that could put you in danger. I was riding down hill when this happened and I could have seriously been injured if I didn't stop the bike in time. I was shopping keeping social distance at 8 am. Other shoppers were doing the same. Along comes an employee while I was in produce- no gloves nor mask walks up right next to me body touching mine reaches in front of me to grab an artichoke surprising me. I move back six feet and ask why? Because she says I have a time table for picking the 8 orders she sniffles wiping her nose on her sleeve - perhaps an allergic sniffles I don't know... I ask- out of concern for those she is picking groceries for "shouldn't you be wearing gloves or a mask?" She gets a bit tiffed "nobody said I have to". I won't be shopping at walmart for some time because I saw her continue to wipe her nose on the lower part of her sleeve over and over then pick up and put down multiple items to search for the particular items ordered. When I asked the manager up front quietly and politely as I checked out my order I was immediately told I was "lucky the store was open" and my sale was suspended I was asked to leave treating me like a criminal for wondering if perhaps a mask or gloves should be worn while your food is handled. NO CASHIERS IN CHECKOUT LINES!! I went to the Walmart at this location on 10/2/23 at 11:30 am with items to return. Customer service staff were polite and helpful. I planned to do my grocery shopping while there so I wouldn't have to go to a separate grocery store. Until I noticed that none of the checkout lines were staffed with cashiers. None! The only option was self checkout or "Scan N Go". This is the same situation I experienced at the Walmart at 155 Damonte Pkwy in Reno on 9/15/23. On that day,I had a cart full of groceries that I had to checkout myself. I don't feel that I should be forced to do self checkout especially when I have a cart full of groceries because it takes me much longer to checkout on my own vs a cashier. I decided to drive across the street to Save Mart to do my grocery shopping. It was a pleasant experience with open checkout lines and helpful employees. And my groceries were cheaper at Save Mart! If the lack of cashiers at Walmart is a new company-wide protocol or simply a staffing issue at individual stores, Walmart should take a serious look at this to ensure that they don't lose more customers. read more

I ordered groceries from the Walmart on line app on Thursday the 21st of July. Today is Monday the25th and still haven't gotten my stuff. I'm a senior citizen without a car and have health issues. They treated me very badly each time I called about this issue. The biggest retail store in the world and they never had a answer for me. I got the runaround. Always a different number to call. My experience is ALWAYS the same at this store...terrible. I usually don't come within a mile or two of this Walmart but every now and then there's a situation where I need something in a pinch. But it seems to me that as I thought I was being singled out, it appears (through the reviews) that I'm not imagining anything. Yesterday my wife asked to stop in and grab a calendar...not knowing exactly where to start looking, I asked a group of sales associates standing by the electronics area where I might find such an item. The associate, (whom I'm guessing was a supervisor) was busy texting and then said (without looking up at me), "I'm not sure where you can find them, although I know there here somewhere...just walk around until you see some". Come on Walmart I know you can do better! Especially with your customer representatives. We tried to cash a check yesterday. The lady decided it was appropriate to say really loud that our "check was declined" as she threw the check and ID's at my husband. Ok... That was embarrassing. Since someone hacked into our account last weekend and we use an online bank, checks are the only method of payment we have. So we called the bank, they reassure us that everything is fine and the lady probably didn't put in the right info because it doesn't show anything trying to go through. GREAT! Never again, I've rather pay extra $ to have a check cashed. I would never advise anyone to NEVER, EVER, unless you absolutely have to, do not waste your time in that "customer service" line. Needed a oil change on a vehicle with over 200 thousand miles, simply asked for the "pit crew" 19.95 oil. Change and for over a minute the boy who was working proceeded to ask me questions about my vehicle because there was a rattle coming from the engine compartment, the passenger side of the engine has a broken engine mount but otherwise is a solid running engine. My WalMart review is based upon the experience of shopping here with Krista, or getting phone guidance from Krista. Want to find a waffle iron, a cat toy, or canned cherries? What about products you didn't even know existed such as peds infused with Aloe Vera lotion to wear to bed and soften your hooves. Krista will take you straight to each item. She knows this store so well that when forced to go here by myself, I call Krista first with my list. They gather the staff on the sales floor, making a terrible shopping experience as 1) no one is left on the floor to help customers 2)the staff are forced to shout "yes" like they are in the army. 3)created a nerve wracking experience for customers who have to listen to this that went on and on for 20 minutes. All of this was useless as it kept staff away from we customers looking for help and kept them from focusing on their job. I don't think I'll ever have warm, fuzzy feelings about a Walmart. But it's pretty doubtful that I'd stop going to one either. I get probably about 90% of my shopping done here mainly because it's so inexpensive and you can get such a wide array of items here (dog treats, human food, random cable for phone/computer, cleaning supplies, toiletries, kitchen items, etc, etc). This Walmart in particular seems to attract a less than classy group of people. Maybe that makes for good people watching? But it also annoys the crap out of me because of those people are just straight up rude. Not going into any particular situation, but I've had some not good ones with some of the other customers. I'm not saying that everyone is this way though, because I have encountered some very friendly customers too. They have a lot of food here, I'm mean, come on, it's Walmart, of course they do. But I still manage to have items that I need to get at another store. Maybe because it's not mainstream enough, maybe because their produce looked like crap that day, maybe because I just gave up and couldn't find it and was tired of wandering the aisles. Or maybe it's because they have an item for one week and then you'll never see it again, or at least not for several weeks or months. Checkout takes longer than it did to run through my entire grocery list. There are always a ton of people here and for years they've never been able to adequately handle the amount of people who need to check out. One slightly redeeming quality is their Savings Catcher program. Yes, you can only use that money at Walmart, but I was able to save up $100 pretty quickly. read more

I don't know what it is about this Walmart in particular, but I love it. I would choose this place to go to over the other Walmart's in the Reni Sparks area if I could help it. They have all updated item in their store. The staff has always been nice. I have returned items at this location and the down fall to it is the lack of staff working the customer service area. They have other people there for other reasons besides returning. I have had to wait in their line anywhere between 5 minutes to 23 minutes. It depended on the day, the line, and other reasons why people are standing there. The environment is pretty well kept up and organized. Everything has its location and easy access to all of it. Another down fall I noticed is sometimes when Walmart corporation ups prices I noticed this location is the first. Their price maybe higher the other Walmart's in the area. It would all depend on the items themselves. However, I feel like this location has everything in stock when I need it! read more

I think I had a review here and it got removed. This Walmart sucks but it is the closest to where I live so I continue to go here. The workers are morons and slow moving. One thing that happens to me from time to time is something on the express line. I will be on line and see that there is an express line with no light lit up. I then go there because I see the employee took people when the light was off, and then I get a "Sorry mam this lane is closed". WTF? The returns department is also impossible. They usually only have 1 person working there. Lots of pregnant Latinas walking around too which is weird because it is pretty upscale area. When I have the energy I drive out of my way to the one in NW Reno because they have self checkout. read more
