This Walmart is the worst one that I've ever been to. I worked here for a few weeks in the management was disrespectful and had an attitude problem. The personality is sweet, but the front and manager is completely rude. Even when she was hanging out with her friend, she pretended like she was better than them, it's disgusting that she is capable of what she is and no one has a problem with it. On the first day of me working there I was warned about her but I didn't believe it because I don't see how someone can be like that but now I feel like a fool for trusting her. The reason why I quit was primarily because of her. I did not want to have her around me let alone as my boss. The place is completely gross in the system has so many problems at Walmart. I had lots of people not knowing about the bag policy. How do you have to pay $1.08 for one bag and they would want to talk to the manager. I know this is not up to this Walmart to proceed with that or not as it's a ruins, Washington state for Walmart's, but even just the way they were in customer service as a joke. Everything is up in the air and we don't usually have a manager on site all the time someone there comes to be a problem or something we have to do with it ourselves even though I just started that job. No, just no. I grew up with the Renton Walmart thinking all Walmarts were ghetto like this one, only to find out that it is just this Walmart. Parking is horrible, it is a wild animal jungle out there, the fight for survival type of deal. You might get a hit & run, car broken into, or somebody cutting you off to steal that last remaining close by parking spot. The demographics in the store is ummm interesting, it's no better than the parking lot, it is still a zoo. I swear there is never enough cashiers open, I'm sure it is to cut labor to make up for the cheap prices. I thought I would not have trouble coming in a not peak time meaning super late on a weekday, but there was still only one checkout stand so I decided to use the self check out which there was still a LONG line for. For 10 cents cheaper than other department stores, I think I would save myself the hassle and go the Target in the Landing where is feels 10x's more comfortable to shop at. And Black Friday, if you plan on not dying, please don't show up here. It is proven on the news that somebody either dies/get stab/pepperspray every single year on Black Friday here. read more

Wow, one star reviews? It's never been that bad for me. Yes, it's hood. Yes, it's cheap. Yes, you're on your own looking for items. Yes, parking sucks - but what's wrong with parking a little further away and walking? Okay, so I purposely avoid shopping at Wal-Mart for my own reasons. But, I stopped in here yesterday to pick up a few items and was really surprised. They've remodeled! The store is much more spacious with wider aisles - I was really surprised. It looks refreshed up in here! I can't imagine what the staff goes though. While waiting in line with only 2 people ahead of me, this lady behind me yells, "This effing place is just ridiculous!" I ignored her, although I think her comment was to me. Then, a manager walks by, checking on the line movement (which was seemingly going fine) and this lady yells at him: "I've been waiting in line for 10 minutes! This is not acceptable!" Manager: "10 minutes?" Lady that's lying: "Yes! Over 10 minutes!" So the manger opens up a register and rings her up himself. Whatever. If you don't like Wal-Mart, then don't shop there. This place is absolutely disgusting. I came here to return a shirt on my way home from work. I have never been here before. I get in the return line and when it's my turn, the lady helping me (named Teresita) just yelled out NEXT. Like its some sort of assembly line. I give her my receipt/items and she starts speaking in Spanish to the lady next to her (Judy). They're chit chatting in Spanish laughing and screwing around. Teresita proceeded to move at a glacial pace while scratching under her breasts. She gets my refund money and dumps it in my hand, and all the change falls. Some of it rolled back towards her and behind her register. She doesn't apologize, offer to help, or even say "oops". She literally throws my return shirt over a counter and sits there watching me fish around for my change. She fails to hand me back my receipt so I have to grab it from under her scanner. She doesn't say "have a good day" or anything, just yells out NEXT before I even leave the counter. I understand you work at Walmart and your skill level is low at best. But you could at least pretend to care. I left in a terrible mood. read more

Worst. Here's how a decision to make a Wal-mart trip usually occurs. Me: "I need a something that breaks the second you take it out of the box" Wife: "I need a few things for dinner tonight" Me: "Great! We can get all that at Wally World. Let's go" ...and I regret those words the instant we pull into the parking lot. This one is just terrible. The isles are so narrow and there such a clusterf*** of humanity there. The lights too...there is something about the lights at Wal-mart that just make we want to start punching babies. I'm by no means too good for a superstore. You're talking to a guy who lived in Minneapolis for 2 years, where there are 5 targets within five miles of my house. I just feel like every time I leave Wal-mart my teeth are grinding and my blood pressure is through the roof. Side story: On our last visit a few months back the cashier was new and couldn't quite ring me out. It took her three tries and during this whole process she kept calling me sweet cheeks. This store deserves about a negative three star rating. Let's go through all the ways it's awful. First, of course, it's Wal-Mart, evil to workers in their stores, undermining American manufacturing workers, and now even beginning to undernine true organic (non-factory) farmers. Anyway, let's move on to this specific store. 1. It's always hellishly busy and crowded. 2. Parking sucks. 3. The store is filthy. 4. The restrooms are beyond disgusting. The restrooms at the little gas station in front of Wal-Mart on Rainier Avenue are superior. 5. Stocking the shelves is begun at about 9 pm (and never finishes) and is done by moving pallets of items into every corridor, blocking many of the items on the shelves and the aisles. 6. Their Ol Roy dog food is essentially rendered chicken feathers and peanut husks. Your dog would get more nutrition from a steady diet of Doritos, and wouldn't then be at risk from death by mycotoxins and vomitoxin. 7. Their fish are usually all sick. 8. Even their plants are not local stock. 9. There are always people soliciting money for food, a cause, or something else when you're leaving the front door. 10. If you need help, a worker is nowhere to be found, and when you do manage to find one, they're not going to know what you need, they might not understand English, and they're likely to be surly. I was an unemployed single mom last year so it was easy to be sucked in by Wal-Mart; cheaper, close to home, open late. But I swore off completely, in favor of Target (see my Factoria Target review), after seeing the High Cost of Low Prices. I just can't destroy my own community that way. If that means we do without, I'm OK with that. We are way too coddled, us Americans, even when we feel "poor". My daughter and I didn't ever end up going hungry and it was really healthy for us to make our own fun instead of stoking the consumerist fire at Wal-Mart. Now that we're living together as a family with my fiance and his daughter, our finances are MUCH better, and I'm trying ever harder to keep my purchases local and to minimize our unsustainable environmental footprint. I've never had a bad experience here while dealing with employees so I don't know the issues. Just be polite and they have always responded politely. Today I went to return a few shirts and the lady in front of me was freaking out over a small miscommunication. She kept yelling at the employee instead of talking to them. When I got to the guy he was clearly stressed from this lady but I greeted him and said "thanks" when I left. The return was quick and easy despite him also trying to calm the lady down next to me. Still ghetto as ever. Came here to pick up some wrapping paper, left here motivating myself that paying extra $ at Fred Myers is actually the better deal and better for my health. This is never my first choice place to go shop, but my husband always insists on coming here for deals because he's patient, I however am not. Have you ever had shopping cart road rage? This is what goes down here when I come here. You just get ANGRY at all the crazies who have no manners or any class whatsoever. You just want to cut people off in the aisles or just ram their cart out of the way to get through. It's a freaking zoo out here at all hours of the day 24/7, 365 days out of the year. My blood pressure is rising thinking of all the incidents I've seen, good god. Last time we were here, some lady almost crashed into our car. Kept backing up even though we were honking, THE WHOLE TIME. Accidents happening almost every other minute. It's amazing... Who backs up without looking? And continues to back up even after being honked at? So I left my cart unattended for thirty seconds. I couldn't get through the aisles because people threw things all over the ground and would NOT move. Sure, I have legs I'll just walk myself down the aisle, get my clothes hangers and BOUNCE. I come back to my cart and this dude is taking things out of my cart. First of all... This is new level of ghettoness. I thought I was on some pranking show and there are hidden cameras trying to record my reaction. NOPE, nobody came out and said "You've been punked!" This was completely for real, LOL it's funny thinking about it now but in that moment I was appalled. He awkwardly put my deicer back in the cart and walked away because I was burning him with my eyes. Don't mess with me dude, I'm super small but you better walk away before White Center Monica unearths because it's not pretty. I can be just as hood. Okay, and another time some lady pushed my cart down an aisle because she was pissed or something. It wasn't in anyone's way or anything but she kept crashing into other people's carts. From the moment you turn into this parking lot, road rage will begin. It's like every driver shuts their brains off and is mindlessly driving in the middle of lanes, double parking, taking up two spots. It's maddening! But sometimes, Walmart is the only place that has what I need at an affordable price. Fred Meyer does a decent job of price matching but at times they just don't have what I need. So you walk in, and the frustration builds, people in your way, kids running around. I'm surprised I haven't drop kicked a baby and smacked an employee yet. The bathrooms are atrocious, you'd be better off urinating on yourself than risking touching anything in that restroom. The aisles are surprisingly clean, but that makeup section is a mess, people opening caps and applying it...yuck! The people who shop here suck, plain and simple. I had to call the cops at 10 pm one day because some woman left her 2 year old and infant child in the car while she ran inside. When she came out 20 minutes later, she had a television...I was quite happy her kids were put in a CPS car that night, she obviously has piss poor priorities. This Walmart is ghetto, and that shouldn't be a surprise to anybody. I kind of enjoy going there every once in a while as it's not too out of the way, and the prices are indeed substantially cheaper than competitors (even Fred Meyer and Target). Renton Walmart is the place of convergence for the low-income denizens of the South Seattle area. It gets crowded. There are a lot of kids. And there are more people speaking Somali, Spanish, Russian or Vietnamese than English - this goes for the employees too. Most of the folks who are shopping there are doing so because it is the most affordable and accessible place for them, not because they particularly enjoy it. My opinion is that nobody there seems to really care about "customer service", and the employees are there more to sustain the store rather than directly assist customers. Most of the employees (bless their hearts) are not particularly helpful, knowledgeable or even identifiable. You may find a (higher paid) employee who is actively helpful if you're lucky, but don't hold your breath; it's usually going to be that "What do you expect, you're at Walmart" look. Honestly though, you are not going to get shot. Any thugs are too busy corralling their own kids to cause any trouble (unlike Southcenter Mall...). If you can't handle lowering your standards to Walmart standards, avoid going to Walmart. If immigrants and poor people make you uncomfortable, avoid going to Walmart (and Rainier Ave in general). The only thing that really stands out for me about this Walmart is that it is extremely difficult to access by car and parking can be a nightmare. It's literally situated at the intersection of two busy freeways, and while the parking lot is huge, you have to be quite assertive if you want to score a spot close to the entrance (just watch out for the kids). read more

I get the whole business model of "you get what you pay for" but with the Walmart family being one of the richest families in the US - step your game up and create a standard! This place is already huge and they are expanding itself to turn into a Super Walmart. The customer service is non-existent. As I asked a lady who even had a Manager tag on if she knew where the tea light candles were and she said "no" and walked off. Ironically enough I eventually found the candles without her help and she was there unpacking other candles and stocking them on the shelves. The candles I needed were out so I asked her again "do you know if you have more of these in stock?" and she said "nope." and continued to work. I asked her "is there any way you can check?" and she looked at me and said "i'm busy right now okay?" and kept doing her thing. RIDICULOUS! Outside of that experience the place does have good prices on snacks and foods. Worst Walmart ever! They have shitty customer service. The check out lines are ridiculous... I brought my dog with me into the store (I was carrying him. He's a small dog) the guy at the dog told me no dogs were allowed in the store and that I needed to take him home..... I come back without my dog today.... while walking back into the store I see a lady holding her dog that's the same size as mine, being that I was already in a bad mood and not willing to bite my tongue I said (Hey is your dog a service dog? She replies No. If you are carrying your dog it's totally fine. I replied I was told to leave because I had my dog with me and I was carrying him the same way as you) I walk through the store I see a man pushing a cart with a dog the size of a German Shepard in a shopping card... DO NOT COME HERE!!! This is physically the worst place on Earth. I have never felt so unsafe... I mean, a gangster wouldn't feel safe here. I came back here for the first time in months last saturday...why...well it's the only place I know that sells 27x40" frames that don't have to be custom made...therefore cheap ($20..compared to $400). I have learned a most valuable lesson and it is, if you need something that you can only find at a local Walmart, then perhaps you should buy it on line from Amazon. If not, let the madness ensue. There's this strange thing about me (actually there's a lot of strange things about me) in that there is a specific hot sauce that goes perfect with several dishes I make. Sadly, it is not at my Safeway, Fred Meyers, Target, Trader Joe's, Metropolitan Market, QFC or any other local stores. But it is at Walmart. (Curse you hot sauce!) So when you're planning a meal and you need an exact flavour, there is no substitute for Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce. (This is a scientific fact.) Generally when I have gone to Walmart's in the past I have not had great experiences and as you would surmise from the rating given, Walmart did not fail to continue in providing a terrible experience. As you walk in you can feel the change. Something is different about this place. I think it might be something similar to walking out of a spaceship on to the surface of Venus (or Uranus). I'm not sure what it is was but there was this strange odor that I just could not place as soon as I walked in. I'm used to strange smells and can even handle the rotting flesh smell of durian but this smell actually made acid rise in the back of my throat to the point where I think I actually threw up just a little in my mouth. Since I committed to this adventure I decided to check out the place. I was not at all impressed with the produce selection. The quality of the herbs they had on display were definitely not fresh. (Snails in cilantro are never an extra anyone wants.) Their fruits looked good and better then I have seen in many Asian, Mediterranean and Indian markets, but there was clearly a lack of diversity. The veggies were a mixed bag. Some looked excellent while others didn't look very fresh at all. They seemed to have a good selection of meats but I could not find the meat substitutes. I asked two different people and no one knew what I was talking about. I finally broke into my Spanish (Thank you Peace Corps language training) and explained specifically what I was looking for and he said he had no idea. I'm always interesting in finding different vegetarian meat alternatives to try. I ended up not finding any. There were a lot of low prices but in all honesty, the quality of some of the items was questionable. They say you get what you pay for, but I was not willing to pay for it. They did have some air mattresses at very reasonable prices as well as a large selection of towels. If you have any questions, finding anyone to answer them is just not worth it. You'll just wonder around and come across people on their cellphones (at work) holding up a finger to tell you to wait a moment. (I wanted to hold up a finger back at her!). Who does this at work? No one wants to wait and listen to a stranger discuss the condition of their feet on the phone. You just can't make this stuff up! I got to the hot sauce isle and there it was. I could see its unique shape and the beautiful aura glowing around the bottle. (It was actually that terrible fluorescent lighting, but I can dream!) Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce at long last I have found you. Right in front of the hot sauces was a woman with a cart and her daughter with another cart blocking me so I was patiently waiting. They were loudly discussing the socioeconomic implications of a unified Korean Peninsula on... no they weren't. They were arguing loudly about one of her kids picking his nose and wiping it on the shelf. You seriously cannot make stuff like this up. My germaphobic instincts went into overdrive as I politely asked them to excuse me. The woman turned to me and said I needed to wait my turn. She then decided to add "this is Trumps America now and we're not going to be pushed around anymore." (Seriously, this is what passes for civility in a Walmart!) When she finished everything she left the booger on the shelf and decided to leave me with another "brown nugget" of wisdom which had way too many grammatical errors and swear words in it to repeat here. I decided not to even bother picking up the hot sauce and just left. So I decided I would go ask for the manager and complain. I waited about five minutes and no manager so I just walked out. And the lesson we've learned from the story today Yelpers is that Walmart is way worse than I imagined. All I wanted was hot sauce. read more

The parking lot is so dangerous that Walmart needs to assume a duty to protect its customers; they should hire private security or install cameras. I highly recommend spending a little bit more and going elsewhere; at the very least, have one armed individual remain in the car while you shop (I never come here without my glock). People aren't kidding about the car theft, vandalism, and other criminal or shady dealings in the parking lot. Normally I do not allow clientele to affect my rating, but this is bad. It has been 1 1/2 yrs since I first stepped foot into this particular Wally World and it will (I pray) be my last for any Walmart. We were closet Walmart shoppers. It was our dirty little secret and we dare not tell our friends! I've been to maybe 3 other WMs in my life: 1 in CA, the Tulalip location, and Lynnwood. All seemed to be fine and we were getting cheap household essentials(detergent, soap, paper towels, etc) to boot. They were somewhat "nice", I thought at least, which was in contrast to what our friends and the world were saying about the "local" mom-n-pop store destroyers. It was a head scratcher and besides we were getting goods on the cheap. I finally saw the light on that fateful trip to the Renton location. OMG! That place is a friggin zoo and was all jacked up. Dirty as hell. I felt like I was walking through a war torn city with all the crap strewn through out the aisle. The floors... oh the floors. They were stickier than walking through a theater. I think we went on a Friday night (with a 4 month old what else is there to do than to go shopping) and I couldn't believe the crowds. I'm ashamed that I shopped WM to begin with and even more ashamed that I had to experience this particular WM to vow abstinence from all WMs. But it was a blessing in disguise I suppose. Even with the new renovations that they've done, this place is still disgusting. They added the supermarket and threw in a McDonald's as well, but you can never get over the fact that you're stepping into the ghetto once in the store. It's dirty, unkept, disorganized, and there are creepy people hanging around outside (two different homeless people asked me for money on the way from my car to the front door), and inside a man in front of me in checkout didn't have enough money for his purchase and asked me for money. This place is like walmart on black Friday, except every day. It's the stereotypical walmart that people are scared of. I get that it's busy, but it's just way too hard to find someone to help you. I was in the fabric section looking for someone to cut some ribbon up for me for so long that I just gave up. WOW AM I BACK IN LA! First of all I don't like walmart as corporation, so this may be a little bias as well. BUT! This place is GHETTO and crowded and dirty. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, I parked far, far far away from the store. The area looked nasty!! My son and I only came here because he wanted to buy a freaking dvd and I wanted shaving razors. I have never been here before but wow, this place is something else. The only reason why it is so damn crowded is because there is a freaking McDonalds at the entrance. You know what happens? The family of 100 come here for a shopping spree and dine on burgers as they shop. No wonder the joint is filthy. With all the plus 300 club men and women. The aisles are so small in certain area that I don't understand why people even bother with a shopping cart. You might as well form a line while the person in the aisle finally decides to take a bottle of shampoo. The secured items are not secured. What is the point of having a security lock on your "expensive" shaving razors for men, if the door is open?! Get in get what you need and get out!!! read more

I went in to purchase a pack of false lashes and they rang up incorrectly. I told her the price and she said that she would have to get it price checked. After flicking her light and no one coming to help, she disappeared and came back a few mins later with another worker. Worker: The price is $9.98 Me: No its not, the price on the shelf said $6.88 Worker: Well, we will have to go and price check it Me: Didn't she just go get you so that you could do that???? Worker: No I want you to show me where to find it Me: No I don't have time to show you, I'm in a rush Worker: I want you to come and show me where this is Me: Don't you know where the items in your store are? Why do I need to come assist you to do your own job???? Worker: Ok, I'll go check it. By then I was so annoyed and didn't even want the stupid lashes anymore! Walmart Supercenter - Don't get shot:-) - Department Stores Near Me - Renton, Washington

This is by far the worst walmart i have ever been to in my life. I have shopped at a few and often they are bright (the lighting not the staff), full of items, and the store layout makes sense... Then there is the Renton Wally-World. My god what a group of derelicts they have there. The aisles are about a 1/2 inch narrower than the actual shopping carts. People are just moving back and forth frantically. And the staff can only be useful if you pry them away from their staring contests with each other, As everyone else said, the only way to some up this unorganized chaos is by dubbing it a zoo. The location itself is terrible, on my first and last experience to this store i was offered to buy more than one electronic device out of the back of a car in the parking lot while trying to make my way to the front doors, all while trying to avoid being shot by discount bullets. The parking lot is dirty and disgusting, you really do feel that your life is endanger both inside and outside the store, and unless mapquest creates something for locating walmart items in store, you will never find anything you are trying to locate in the building. Trust me, saving 89cents on some AA batteries isnt worth losing your life, or your sanity. Avoid this location at all costs! read more

Even youtube doesn't get as many whiney, immature trollers posting as this review site. WTF I go to this Walmart all the time. Some loser from Bellevue saying its ghetto because its shoppers aren't a bunch of doctors and lawyers doesn't diminish it. I actually go out of my way sometimes just to shop here. Its got an eclectic mix of customers and you can usually see something interesting there you don't see everyday. I'm headed there right now. If this place is ghetto, then I'm living ghetto fabulous tonight. :) read more
