It's a pretty standard Walmart in Schertz, just north of San Antonio, on the road to Austin or San Marcos. There's a lot of things they're usually out of which is what annoys me. Service is typically nondescript as with most WMs, and the things we did find here were few and far between, but at least we were saving money and able to get out of here fairly quickly. read more

My husband and I live in NB, but had read great things about this particular wal-mart location on the next door app. So, when we needed a few things, decided to check this one out. We were so impressed! This location is so clean and very organized. They had far more options than our location in NB. Their Christmas isles still had stock, whereas this is not the case at the NB location. The layout is a bit different, but you can easily navigate it with the large signs above each isle/section. They also had many options for groceries, as again, the NB location is very limited. We usually shop HEB for groceries, but there are just some items that Walmart had that HEB doesn't. Parking lot was also easy to navigate and not a cluster of confusion like in NB. We will certainly be going back to the Walmart when we need other items in the future. read more

Regarding Walmart Curbside I have an Autoimmune Disease and cannot shop in stores therefore I shop online and pick up items via curbside or have them shipped to my residence. I ordered (8) packages of a LED frosted Globe light bulb and received (6) of what I ordered and (2) of some random bulbs that I did not order. Now I have to go inside a store to Customer Service to get a refund on the (2) items I ordered but didn't receive and to return the (2) items I received. This is not my error. This is the Walmart order pickers error. When HEB makes this kind of error, they send a Customer Service Representative to my residence pick up the error items via my doorstep and will leave the correct items or we do the exchange via curbside. We stopped into Walmart in Schertz Tx to pick up some things for our road trip. Everyone wore their masks and practiced social distancing. There were markers on the floor so customers were 6 feet away from was each other. The store was spotless, I felt very safe there with the pandemic still going on. The staff were very nice and went above and beyond to try and help you find what you needed. The shelves were stocked and Walmart also has a Scan and Go to pay for your purchases. Walmart has the best ice in town, it is a square shape and it does not look like snow or is not too small. The ice is great for the cooler or a nice glass of whiskey or bourbon. They also have a gas station across the parking lot from Walmart. It was very clean and easy for everyone to use. read more

Justin ACCM at store #03391 refused to follow the Road Hazard Warranty purchased through this store previously. Had it stopped there, I would not have written this review. While an another employee was explaining the process to me, Justin pulled her from our conversation mid sentence and directed her not to speak to me any further. I left my name and number on a piece of paper for the store manager Melissa to call me. Then while an employee was walking to put that piece of paper on the Melissa's desk, Justin ACCM took it from her, ripped it up and threw it away. This is not manager behavior. I usually don't shop at this location but i stopped for a few things since i was in the area and from my experience with the cashier by the name of Elizabeth I'm guessing they are prejudice against hispanics. She did not even greet us at the register, then said she couldn't give me change because she couldn't open the register. So I asked for her to call her manager to open it and all of a sudeen she opened it and gave me change. My whole experience was just aweful. She is an older lady and maybe she just didn't want to be there . But when you are in customer service you can't be like that towards customers. This Walmart location use to be great, amazing grocery quality, friendly staff, etc. Over the years I've seen this place go to the dumps. Their grocery selection has really gone down. You can tell that the manager of the store really takes pride in his job just by how his associates act towards the customers. I like how they have individual cameras at the self check out line to ensure no one steals, making prices go up for innocent customers like myself. I will start coming to this location more often instead of the location that's only a mile and a half away from me because of the cleanliness of the store and the awesome customer service I receive when I come here. read more

For the past 2 months every time I come to this location employees are no where to be seen. I have had to wait for 15 minutes for an employee to have fabric cut. They are almost never standing at their stations. This includes the paint station, the sporting goods area, and fabric area. Just now I had to walk all around the store to find 1 employee. You don't own the store, you are a worker and should adhere to the rules. My gift card would not work so she allowed me to step aside and check the card, she closed her register and waited until I got the card activated (oops). I walked in to this Walmart today at exactly 9:51 pm with a cart filled with items I had collected over time. My wife and I both hate doing returns at Walmart. Well, excuse me, but if a store says that it's customer service counter stays open until 10, then I figure I'm ok to walk in nearly ten minutes before that time. I went immediately to the customer service counter and I was told that they were closed and couldn't help me. I walked out because I thought that a manager was sitting there also and didn't know what I could do...a bit of background on this situation is that these returns were something that we were needing the money back on because our apartment flooded earlier today, and we suddenly had the unexpected and also not budgeted for expense of having to rent a hotel room. In any case, my friend, who I rode to the Walmart with, also had a return and had parked her car after dropping me off by the door. She was livid that they would have the audacity to close early and she went in and Lori Ann agreed to help us. She helped her with her return and then said she'd help me, so I sat and waited by the register she was helping me in. While waiting, my phone died and I had to run out to the parking lot and use my friends phone. In any case I waited an hour and my friend came in and asked what the hold up was, so we asked and were told the manager was an hourly manager and she had left. Then Neomi rudely informed me she was sorry that our needs weren't met and our time was wasted and then harassed me to prove I actually walked in with the returns I had been sitting in the front with for an hour! This store is ludicrous if they think that's how you treat your customers!!! If you can imagine it, my friend had the brilliant idea of calling nearby Walmart's and ask the managers if they might be able to please do the one time favor of helping out with the returns...and low and behold...a store (Cibolo) to be exact and then marble falls both helped and I'm going to be able to get my family a hotel room instead of sleeping in our car with our dogs! Oh Walmart! Well it's 24 hours so they have that going for them. It's very hit or miss. I've found staff to be helpful and then there are those that could care less. I'm not sure you'd expect any different. It's huge, if you're looking for it, you can probably find it here. And if you need it at 4am they're here for you. My only issue is the lack of help. My visit I bought a gift card. The clerk wasn't sure how to ring it up because she was new. No worries because everyone has had a place day. So she calls for a supervisor. Ten minutes later I'm still standing there. We can see the supervisors, three of them just chatting/laughing. Not one came over for another few minutes. Customer service apparently isn't of much importance. The clerk was embarrassed and I felt bad for her because she felt she had to keep apologizing. I was more annoyed they would leave a follow employee hanging for no good reason. But if you need a pair of pliers or a cup of fruit at 4am they're open! read more

Have you ever noticed that almost everyone in a Wal-Mart has a look on their face like someone just killed their puppy? The employees probably look that way because they hate their job but all the propaganda and singing Wal-Mart pushes down their throat, confuses their brain into thinking they aren't supposed to feel that way. The brain has confusing signals and that causes them to be an intellectual stupor and almost zombie like. I used to hate that they always seems so useless but now, I just feel sorry for them. This particular store isn't really any better or worse than all the others. Like the cheap products they sell, Wal-Mart has a real craft in filling their stores with low quality employees. Even if the hire someone with strong work ethic and common sense, they will use the Wal-Mart education process to indoctrinate them into the mindless zombies that continue to pimp their low quality service and products onto the unsuspecting public, all while tell us, they are "saving us money". Saving us money? What a load and manure that is. Have you ever gone into a Wal-Mart to get one or two items or a specific list of items and only left with those items? Of course not. Wal-Mart tells us they are saving us money all the while tricking us into buy things we don't need or didn't intend to buy in the first place. How are they saving you money if you are on a fixed budget and all you need is milk and eggs but they have purposely placed those items in the far back of the store forcing you to walk past isle after isle of product blasting you with their "savings". They are playing on you human nature and have even manipulated you shopping behavior to have you spend as much money as they can in their store! They don't care about saving you money, they care about getting as much of your money as they can!!!! We started comparing cost, quality and overall shopping experience and found shopping for groceries at a grocery store (HEB) gave use better products for the same or better prices and our overall satisfaction with the experience was far better than any experience with Wal-Mart. The idea of a one stop shop for food, clothes and housewares and everything in between is a crazy one. They don't do any of it right. They can't possibly provide quality products with so many categories to manage. Would you let the guy that changes your oil cut your hair too? Maybe we should be taking our computers into the butcher for repairs? These are just a few of the reasons we have stopped wasting our time and money in Wal-Mart. We occasionally return to see if anything has changed but we have yet to see any improvement that would get my business back. It quite liberating to walking through their store then leave without spending any money. After years of spend way more then we needed or planed too on poor quality products, my money is far better spent elsewhere, even if it requires a couple of stops. No hand baskets! The greeter told me they literally only have 10 hand baskets... TOTAL! So, 9 times out of 10, you're out of luck and don't get a basket to hold. So, any time I just want to pick up 5 things, I have to drive across the highway and pay more at HEB. To me, I'd rather pay more than push a big, clumsy basket around that huge store. read more

Walmart is Walmart. Never enough registers open and long lines. This Walmart is no different. The school supplies section gets crazy in August so grab your items first. I'm a teacher and always on the hunt for cheap supplies. Sometimes they have it and sometimes they don't. It sells out pretty quickly. I bought a cute bike here too. Meh. Nothing too exciting about this Walmart. And, someone dumped a 6 week old puppy in the parking lot and she spent the day hanging out with the greeter. If you want to catch the Flu this year, this is your store! I don't know who that putz was before me but the Bathrooms are generally a mess! Some sinks don't work, and the paper towels lumped up on the shelve above the sink wet by the previous customer so all are contaminated! Handicapped stalls are always scratched up, never cleaned on time if ever, toilet paper dispenser is too low for handicapped people, no one likes these damn toilet paper dispensers!!! Not clean!
