Do not take your 35 mm film to Walmart for developing. . I dropped off 3 rolls and was promised one to be returned by 5/8/2026. Two others were promised by 6/82026. I visited the store on 5/8/2026 and was told the roll promised on that day wasn't ready. I waited another week and visited again today 5/14/2026 - no one ever answers the phone when I call- and learned none of the rolls had been sent out for processing ! Checking my stuff out using the self checkout which is basically what they only have available. During the checkout I was almost done then the damn machine started to act up and did some fucking flagged which I couldn't continue till one of they lazy employees had to come over and re scanned everything on a different machine. The bakery is absolutely outstanding!!!! Jernice and Jennifer were amazing! Jernice went out of her way to make sure our son got his donuts for his school birthday even when the oven broke. She added custom sprinkles. Jennifer found me a cookie cake, when they were completely out and decorated it beautifully while still frozen! It held up too! Update! Just picked up my cakes that Moe made and she did an absolutely fantastic job. She even made sure the barcodes were on top so the cake didn't get messed up when checking out, and she took my cardt back to load the cakes for me. I highly recommend this bakery because these bakers really are fantastic and go above and beyond! read more

Scheduled an appointment 4 days in advance for an oil change at 7:30am. I was the 3rd car in the parking area. Arrived at the auto service register at 7:21am and was told that there would be an hour wait because only 3 techs were there. I had this appointment for 4 days. Unacceptable. read more

I purchased four tires from Walmart a little over three weeks ago. I had four tires put on my truck, two had the year of 25. The other had the year of 23. I told the gentleman that put them on that these tires were basically 2 1/2 years old. I wanted some newer tires on my truck. He told me that was all they had. I had gone back a week later and spoke to another gentleman about replacing the tires. He told me he would go get the manager. She came to the back and asked me what was the problem. I told her that I wanted to replace these two tires. She told me that it couldn't be done because I left the parking lot. I told her according to Wal Mart's website you have 30 days to return the tires. She told me that wasn't true. She's a short white manager with blue in her hair. I told her that the Tires had a shelf life of six years. She told me that Wal Mart doesn't have a shelf life for Tires. Once she made that statement, I knew she did not work in that department.I told her that the shelf life is normally six years so she said to me, what are you calling me a liar she demanded that I leave the store as I was still talking. I said to her I did not think that was right at all. I just wanted it. The two tires replaced. She told me to leave the store and then told the gentleman that was there to go get security. I told her I come to this store all the time and I spend money. She demanded that I leave the store. She was very rude and loud, customers were turning around and looking even had one gentleman that was in the waiting room to get work done in his vehicle. He was standing in the door, another gentleman that worked on Tires he was standing in the anther door as well with the door open. I felt mistreated and also embarrassed all behind some tires. We actually had a list so proud of us lol Well we started at their section and we noticed that a lot of their products Are out of stock but the store was still clean and mostly organized After that we headed towards the car section I got distracted when I remembered he need a new toaster Ended up knees deep in the clearance when my daughter decided to venture off on her own I was drawn to the Halloween decorations an eternity later my child returned holding a cute outfit she found but not what she was looking for We got the car items we needed and headed to check out Almost there and we realized We forgot to get KITTY LITTER so we found our way to the pet center and got the main thing we needed as well as a new kitty scratching post We walked up to the front and there was actually no lines we had one person in front of us were able to check out pretty quickly and ended our Walmart adventure But during my time in the Halloween section I realize that the 90s are now a costume and that made me feel a certain kind of way lol And I'm very serious note the cashiers are very polite here and the story seemed very well-kept I would definitely come back read more

I literally don't understand the concept of this Walmart. I've only been here a few times because I like to order online but the first time I came to this Walmart I was using scan and go on my app and the check out person who had to come check my car because it flagged me told me that I was on the wrong end of the store and I needed to go to the opposite endto check out with spark shopping. I then proceeded to visit This Walmart another time and I went to the opposite side as I was told the previous visit and the people on the other side told me that I was also on the wrong side and that I needed to go back to the original side from my first visit. I swear this store is constantly flip-flopping where they want their spark shoppers to check out but they have the literal tagged "spark shoppers" section always blocked off so I either have to pick and choose which self checkout section I'm gonna go to or I have to go out of my way to ask somebody where I should be so that it doesn't inconvenience them. If anything they are inconveniencing me because why do you keep switching up where the spark shopping is just keep it in one spot because some people don't come here every freaking day. read more

I confess, I'm a WalMart shopper. Low prices, 1 stop shopping convenience (product variety under 1 roof) and let's not forget the Equate store brand that rivals most name brand products. This location has a large parking lot with lots of handicapped spaces up front. Even offer a dedicated online pickup section away from the main entrance. At 9a on Wednesday, it was clean, bright and loaded with employees stocking shelves. A few helped me find stuff in the unfamiliar layout but I had to approach (interrupt) them. No biggy. I did notice this is one of the rare stores whose products matched the price tags underneath. WOW!!! Lack of signage in certain areas (hardware) and 1 checkout lane accounts for the star deduction. After having to cancel our order for delivery yesterday after 6 hours after the promised time we canceled and reordered everything for pick up today. We have now been sitting here for 45 minutes for our pick up that was ready 2 hours ago. It's so bad they just drop stuff off at the cars and the customers unload everything themselves. If we didn't need stuff for our kiddo we would scrap the whole thing. This is just beyond a crappy business model. read more

It has been a while since I have walked into this Walmart. I use to grocery shop here before Kroger was built. I did not see much of a change. Besides them taking out the McDonald's. The register lines were long. There were only five registers open. That's really been my only gripe with Walmart. I can never walk in and walk out because the lines are always so long. The PHARMACY at this location makes me a regular shopper. The PHARMACY stands out by providing reliable, professional, and accurate service on a consistent basis. The $4 prescription drug program is literally a "life saver" as is Relion over the counter insulin. I am grateful to both Walmart and the staff at this location for the positive difference both make in my life! I typically try to avoid Walmarts due to their customer service. If I do go, I've always only gone to the one on College Drive as they tend to be cleaner and more attentive comparatively; however, they really disappointed me today. I came in hoping to purchase a bike to surprise my graduating 5th grader today. There was a bike on line that stated I could pickup at this location today. I first wanted to see and "feel" it before purchasing. There weren't any on display in the bike section so I asked for assistance. The individual was willing to help by walking me to the garden center where add'l bikes were on display and also checked in the back several times but wasn't able to locate it. She said the online system isn't always kept current. After close to an hour of looking and debating on spending more on another model I chose to leave. When I walked out, is when I spotted three of the bikes sitting in a line of bikes locked up in the front of the store. By the time I got through the customer service line and told the rep that I was interested in a bike outside. She passed me on to another female who with all seriousness said "we can't go out there, oh no, I'm not getting a bike" (it was drizzling). She then disappeared behind a door and when she emerged a few minutes later I told her if she wants to just give me the key I'll unlock it and bring it in. And she said "I can't do that" and then walked off to assist at other registers. Thank god for the new Krogers Marketplace around the corner. I could go on about this Walmart, but I will list the things that are an issue with me in hopes they read this and fix their problems. I'll be nice and list the pros 1st. Pros: -Clean -Parking -Redbox -A few recognizable faces. Just a few. Cons: -Products w/o pricing (consistently) -Produce is lacking. Always out of something. -Produce is never fresh nor does it last once at home. -Produce selection. -Employees seem to shy away from answering questions or want to perform customer service. (Example: it's always "not my section" for an answer...vise, "let me help you find someone who can help you") -Something like 30 lanes and only 5 open. Not including the DIY lanes. -Lack of price checking stations. You have to walk 100 feet to price check. Would not be a big deal if they would just place prices next to products. -Organization: I honestly think they have their employees organize shelves once a week. Go to housewares in the plastic food storage area for example. Products everywhere, usually never where they belong...never with matching prices. I understand this is a big store, but I don't see all these issues at the Chesapeake Square location...nor at other local stores. I'm sure employee pay has to do with part it. I go to this Walmart all the time. I obviously like challenges and making things hard for myself. How, you ask? Last month I had an experience with the bakery section that left me very dissatisfied. Yesterday, I experienced similar in the sporting goods section. Bakery: All I wanted was sliced bread. Easy, right? The bakery was pretty crowded, it was Saturday - understandable. I happened to be standing in the 'line' waiting for the meats/deli ladies because they were the only ones behind the entire counter. After about 10 minutes one lady finally gets to me. I ask "can I get this loaf sliced please". She says "you need to go to the bakery" and simultaneously motions towards the bakery side, about 10 feet away, where clearly NOBODY is there. So let me break this down - after waiting 10 minutes, you tell me I have to go wait again for the ghost deli person to come slice my bread for me. The LEAST that damn woman could have done was call someone out to help. Not to mention she was awfully crabby. Look, I'm sorry you're behind the counter slicing ham and frying chicken on a Saturday afternoon. Don't take it out on me. Sporting Goods: This past Sunday morning was a great morning to do a little fishing. We stopped by Walmart to pick up a fishing pole and a fishing license. We go straight to the sporting good section, I find a cute fishing pole and we go to the counter to pay and grab a license. Well, nobody is there. The BF walks around to the auto service dept and asks the lady to page the sporting goods attendant to help us. I kid you not, I started the timer on my phone to see how long it would take for someone to come by. 7 minutes later. nothing. At this point we're both pretty peeved. All I wanted was a damn license. We ended up walking out. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fish. Next time, we're going to Bass Pro. read more

Nicest Walmart in the area in my estimation.....BUT....for some reason it has drastically been declining over the past year. When I moved to Suffolk in 2003, I was shocked to see this walmart. The employees were helpful and friendly and the place was clean, well-stocked. I dont know if the population boom in North Suffolk started to wear down this location, but now it has roaming security (not a good sign), it has gotten dirtier, and the employees look like they are just punching the time card. And this place is not somewhere I like to go to shop for food. Too crowded. But what I hate about walmart is that their prices are just so hard to beat and that is what brings me back to face the masses of rude people. read more

I go to this Walmart ALL the time. And when I say ALL the time, I mean on a weekly basis. The employees aren't particularly friendly but Walmart has NEVER been known for friendly service. They are known for low prices, values, whatever you want to call it. I know the store like the back of my hand, so it's very rare that I ask any of the employees anything anyway. Like all of us, I appreciate the value of a dollar, and in this economy it's important to me to save and spend wisely. I'm a bit a biased in my review for these reasons. But, I've come to realize that with Walmart in general, you've gotta take the good with the bad. AND NOW...MY ADVICE AS A FREQUENT SHOPPER: Steer clear of Walmart anywhere near the first of the month, and on a Friday night. It's packed. Go in the early morning, to mid afternoon. Say, after 3pm. The electronics department is always an alternative if the lines at the front checkout are outrageous. Be prepared to navigate slowly through the aisles to avoid kids, people, etc or those who steer their cart like a bat out of hell. All the meats are expensive here, and the fruit and vegetable section looks a bit run through. You are better off going to Farm Fresh for those items. read more

All I can do is laugh at this establishment. I came to get an oil change and the woman behind the counter could not find a book that tells what kind of oil your car needs. After 15 minute of them searching, I finally googled my car's manual and gave it to them. Wasn't too bad, I understand what it's like when everything is out of your control and all you can do is look. So I did that and I decided to walk around the store, and just browse. I walk through an isle and an older employee comes my way and I get out of the way apologizing and saying excuse me. He says under his breath "f*** out of here" and continued on his way helping his customer. It feels amazing putting my hard earned money towards a store I get cussed at for a simple excuse me (sarcasm). I don't know if Walmart feeds their employees something that makes them this way, but they should get to know some of these people before they hire them. There's a Kroger right up the street that'll tell me I'm fine or even say excuse them! By the way, there's a lot of workers that stand around socializing but there's only 4 lanes open and they're all backed up to the clothing departments. I'd rather personally pay someone $10 for two minutes of their time to check out 3 of my items that cost less than $15. 2 stars (and that's being generous). read more

Although WalMart is not one of my favorite places to shop we go each year to pickup some impatiens for a couple of big shady areas we want to fill with flowers. Although we get the bulk of our lawn & garden from Norfolk County Feed & Seed we shop the Walmart for cheap impatiens. Walmart seem to always stick employees in the garden center who lack training in how to water the plants. Because of this there is always a markdown area with plant that are looking pretty sad. As most people know while an impatien will look very wilted from lack of water most can be rescued. Today we dropped by and sure enough the markdown area was loaded with sad looking plants of all kinds. We picked up 9 small packs for $0.89 each along with a nice pink New Guinea impatien for around $4.00 that was a bit wilted. A little water at home got them all looking almost great. read more

I try not to go to this Walmart (or any Walmart for that matter) very often. I make the trip thru those dirty glass doors ONLY when my patience are strong and it is absolutely necessary, under no circumstances will I be caught dead near that place on or shortly after to the 1st or 15th of the month.. The quality of people this store employs is absolutely shocking, if the economy is truly in such bad shape and there are good people out of work and looking for a job you wouldn't know it by looking in this place.. Pure Attitude, No courtesy at all.. well, no social skills what so ever, If you ever have the misfortune of asking an employee a question you can be prepared to be looked at like you are about to be spit on or just be ignored completely. Yesterday... I went in, I kept my head down so's not to make eye contact.. I walked straight to the items on my list, grabbed them and rolled my screeching, wobbling cart right for 1 of the 3 checkouts, there was a huge line of course but I've made it this far with out incident.. I was half way there! Again, I kept my head down and within 20-25 minutes I was at the checker, she looked worn, battered and not even slightly in the mood to see me, out of up-bringing and natural respect I gave her a smile and said hello! ... nothing, not even a look. I stepped over to the credit card pad and waited patiently for her to finish swiping my items, when she seemed to be finished I swiped my card and finished the transaction.. But, although she seemed to be finished with me she hadn't place some of the things into bags, there were still items on top of the bagging carousel, smaller items not large bottles but items that belong in a bag with the rest.. Well, I was not about to ask her to bag them for me that's for sure! so, I place the items in the bag myself, as I was doing this she had my receipt in hand with arm extended, close enough to my face I could have blown my nose with it BUT I was not going to lose it now, I've come too far to ruin it now.. I tried to quickly place the bags in my cart so I could get my receipt and leave..... No such luck.. As i take my receipt I hear her whisper under gritted teeth, it was like a knife being punched into my chest.. "White Mother%&$#@" ::Sigh:: I need to get my family out of this place.... read more

They were sitting outside sitting on store patio furniture on their breaks. And what is up with, "Thank you" Response: "No problem" they need to find out who does the training for Chick-fil-A and send them all there. Today, I checked out at the self help. Had an item with no tag. The associate in the department said they can scan it from a code on the inside of the item. I pushed my help button. "Moe, female comes over. Me: Hi! No response. What's not to love about Wallies [that's what I like to call it]? From rifles to ruffles, they've got it all in here. I like that they brought back the fabric department. It's not as big as it was years ago, but it's pretty decent. I come to this location often because it's close. Believe it or not, the prices at this particular location are cheaper than the locations on Ring Road, Tidewater Drive and Frederick Blvd. Staff, some friendly, some not - people that's everywhere! read more

I love this Walmart. I came here on black friday a few years ago and knew at that point that this wasn't your average Walmart. They were very organized and none of that craziness went on like I've seen at other Walmarts on Black friday. I always always always come here to buy groceries. Why did Walmart stop getting Catalina bathing suits? I belong to a gym and do water aerobics and need to buy bathing suits every few months. It is hard to find suits during the winter months so I look forward to Walmart getting them in. But this year the suits they got in are not good for water aerobics.
