I usually go here for my Wal-Mart needs. The one on Southern is a bit closer, but this Wal-Mart has more variety and just feel more at home with this place. I mean basically whatever I need this is my place to go to. Plenty of selections to choose from if you looking for produce, car accessories, bathroom supplies, basically anything. Also, for those who bank with Desert Schools, its a plus to have this at Wal-Mart. It seems as if they keep it clean. A downside would be the registers because I've seen it to where there is at least 15 people are in line, but only a couple of registers are open. Overall, this is my to go Wal-Mart. read more

While I happen to frequent this location more often than not, it is only because of the proximity to my house. I have been in other locations that are cleaner and run more efficiently. It is Walmart and it is useful for what it is, but I limit what I need to get here simply because I am not a fan in general. That being said, it isn't bad because it is 24 hours and has helped out in a pinch on more than one occasion. I will continue to come here but only on an as needed basis and only if I can get in and out quickly. read more

Going to Walmart is like going to a Third World country. This one is no different. I tried to buy something in store that I saw on sale. I grabbed the one that I thought that it was and I was told at check out that it was not the same item. I proceeded to order it online and went several days later to pick it up. Not the most luxurious place in the world but the prices are low & they have almost everything I need. However I don't enjoy shopping here. I'd rather go to Target honestly. Even in the shortest of lines, something is wrong with the cash register at Wal-Mart and I need to stand there for 20 minutes. I don't feel safe shopping here at night either. read more

When I go to Walmart I seem to never get anyone who knows where anything is at. Its like looking for a needle in a haystack sometimes. Once I find what I need the lines are always long. I had an issue with a product and when I was unable to get any help from the Service desk I asked for the manager. He told his employee he was busy and would not help me. Keep in mind it was in the late evening and the store was not very busy. As a manager part of your job is to help unhappy customers. I know. I know... Complaining about Wal-Mart is like griping about how hot it gets in Arizona, but my experiences at this Wal-Mart in particular have been awful. It's always humid at this store. It's as if their A/C is broken or not turned up high enough. Also, their aisles are too narrow. They make it worse by leaving bargain bins and boxes lying about, thus creating bottlenecks with customers that always seem to congregate in these spots. You're constantly standing around waiting on pedestrian traffic, which makes walking from one end of the store to the other a real challenge. It's always very crowded at this store, which makes matters agonizingly worse. So perhaps some of the humidity I always feel here is from the body heat generated within such crowded, confined, narrow aisles. Adding to my frustration are employees that never seem to pay attention to their surroundings. They'll rush around with carts of boxes without yielding to anyone. Ugh! Poorly managed. Just came here for a quick shopping run. The one thing I wanted to buy was priced differently from the system. I was in the self checkout and it said I needed assistance to cancel my one item. No one around. I left to put it back on the shelf and I was yelled at a across the store by someone telling me the doors over there were locked. I had to yell back that I'm not going there. They proceeded to ask me questions from over 200 ft away. So annoyed. No apology. The people working there were all standing in a circle doing nothing. Wtf. read more

I bought a coffee maker online and my wife stopped by the store to pick it up. Nobody at the pickup desk. There were a bunch of people nearby but they self described as "employed by Walmart but not employees of this particular store". After wait 10-15 minutes one of them came over to ask my wife if he could help her and went a picked up the product from the Will Call shelf. Kudos to that person. But then she had to wait another 10-15 minutes for a store employee to come process the pickup. Either this is a staffing problem or a management problem. She will think twice about doing an item pickup at Walmart again. read more

I recently visited the optical department at this location with my daughters, each had prescriptions to fill from another eye place. I took them in separately due to school and time availability and I just have to write and commend Lori M. She was wonderful in helping my oldest daughter find frames that fit her face, Lori showed her how changes could be made to make them more comfortable and then went above and beyond trying to help me deal with insurance issues. She did all this with a smile on her face, making me feel like she had all the time in the world to help us. It was a fantastic experience. I think that Lori is unique because later that same day I took my younger daughter in and got someone else (Lori was off by then). I cannot tell you the difference between the two representatives. Where Lori was wonderful and cheerful the other representative was barely civil and we felt as though we were bothering her. It is a good thing that my younger daughter did not have as many needs in finding the right frames because I don't think we would have gotten the help we needed that afternoon. I say all this to say, if you go in, look for Lori M., she was fantastic. I know that I will seek her out and wait for her to help us with all our future eye ware needs. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I purchased a vacuum from there approximately two montha ago. We have used the vacuum a handful of times. Today, the vacuum literally sparked, smoked, and nearly caught the carpet on fire. I immediately called Walmart, spoke with Kathy, and she said it would be no problem that I did not have a receipt or box, it could be returned. I go to return it, get a new vacuum in exchange, and head to customer service. The lady at customer service was excellent. The real problem came when she needed to get her supervisor for approval. After calling him twice and waiting twenty minutes, he arrived! He told us we would be unable to return it, only exchange it for the same one. Umm, why would I want the same vacuum that nearly caught my floor on fire? We explained that we wete prepared to spend nearly $70 on a different vacuum, and he said no, I can't help you. Did not offer any apologies, any suggestions, any help. Just no. We asked to speak to another "manager" and after another 10 minutes she arrived. While playing with her phone and not even looking at us, she gave me the same response. No apologies. Just walked away. I am thoroughly disappointed and extremely angry. Kenneth and Amanda provided me with the worst customer service I have ever had. I've never written a review ever. But these two inexperienced, unapologetic, rude supervisors rubbed me the wrong way. I am writing in hopes that the store manager at the Walmart on Elliott Road will read this. This store needs better security on site. My husband had a bad experience today. He was walking with his cane and a lady in a handicapped parking spot (parked in a handicap spot started yelling, cursing, etc. for him to get moving faster and get out of her way (she was going to back up). She continued to call him names, etc. and everyone could hear her. Then another person started calling him names and followed my husband in the store and was still yelling at him very loud. My husband went to the pharmacy counter and the pharmacist apologized for this behavior....but not one person, security person, came forward. He was so upset by the time he got home. To top it all off.....he is an air force veteran and it is Veterans Day. Way to go to these very horrible people who acted like this! read more

this store is in such bad shape for customer service. sometimes full service checkout not available when it is needed, not just 6-7 am. this is when a manager should be filling in to assist. they also have products showing in stock on the website but not on the shelves, just stored in the warehouse. i dont know how many times i've gone there for items that were not stocked. many open shelves not stocked. parking lot many times filled with carts and no one to retrieve them from the parking spaces. my suggestion: go to the store on chandler blvd across from the chandler mall. large aisles, all items stocked, excellent customer service and workers keeping up with parking spaces and cleaning chores. both places have some very nice workers on hand to assist you if needed but management at elliott rd needs to do their job. read more

I go to the store for the banking purposes sometimes. But now they have closed the desert schools credit union in there. As for the shopping carts all over the parking lot I would say the lazy people that go there do not push them in the appropriate spots where they need to be. The food sometimes in the produce is lacking freshness. There is always a annoying fire alarm battery on the ceiling that is beeping and annoying unworkable carts. I'm still waiting to take those pictures of the Walmart shoppers that people always post but I have yet to find that one person who matches the description. I would say a lot of times the issues that Walmart does have are when on aisles there are. items put in the wrong spot and continuously long lines are not really the problems of Walmart, it's the problems of the customers who do not take care of the stores that they go to. Instead they walk around feeling that they could eat, drink and carry on rudely without discipline. As for the store I believe they are trying their best to keep up with the adults / children that frequent the store and cause it to have bad reputation. I have not found one customer service rep who has been rude to me, ignores me, or does not say hi. read more
