Went into Walmart on Memorial and Emerald and tried to return the item that I purchased that was already open so one of the workers gonna take a picture of the item because it was open and make sure that I did that so when I need you to bring it back, it will be no problems so I get to the Walmart and they won't take it back items like this crap so then I am supposed to keep $50 air mattress. BEWARE SHOPPING AT WALMART!!!! With inflation spiraling and goods hard to find, this weekend I received a reminder of why u can't trust big box retailers in general and DEF can't trust Walmart in specific. I shop at Walmarts across the country, they're pretty much everywhere and for the most part have what u might need while traveling or in an emergency. Generally at home tho, I try and shop elsewhere. This weekend tho it was 100° outside and it was easier to go grab a few things at Ghettomart down the street. Picked up 3 6pks of V8 that I drink, looked at the price (which was $4.68 a 6pk) and headed to checkout. Having to use self check because there was only 1 cashier working in the checkout area, I was disappointed but not surprised that the V8 rang up at $5.14. This is a standard Walmart practice, to post one price by the item and then have it ring up different at checkout. They count on A) either u not noticing or B) having a HUGE crowd at customer service thus discouraging u from standing in line to get a few cents back. Corporate scumbag behavior at its most typical. Fortunately for me there was no line at customer service and I could get the almost $1.50 they attempted to steal back. This has not been an isolated incident at one crappy store. I can say I have experienced the same thing at Walmarts across the country. With prices as high as they are there is NO EXCUSE for this corporate chicanery to steal even more from their customers. It's still in an interesting neighborhood and is right off the Interstate, but this Walmart has recently gotten some remodeling and cleanup. New signage, clean floors, only a few carts in the outside shopping corrals, shelves were stocked. My big complaint is that 3 of the 8 self-checkout machines were out of service. My husband was trying to exchange 3 pkgs size Med Depends for size large ( I am in a wheelchair and have gained weight) He had bought them a while back and we just wanted an exchange! The man was rude! Talked indirectly to me and told me couldn't do it for over $25. Okay. "Please do one." We can't break up a set was his reply all the while looking at someone else and talking to me out of the side of his mouth. Just dismissed me. I have shopped there for many a year and spent thousands of dollars and I am DONE. They have gone downhill and continue to spiral with their rude service and employees that don't seem to care that you are the one they are supposed to be serving . Don't go to this Walmart unless you want to get racially profiled or suffer terrible customer service. I'm an African American college student that stopped buy to pick up things for my dorm. After spending about $55 dollars on supplies I was stopped at the door and was asked to present a receipt. I normally never keep my receipts. After watching me search my bags thoroughly for the receipt he tells me I have to go back and get it to leave. "Okay, Fair enough" I thought. But after turning to go back and get another receipt I saw the same worker let a white man with at least twice as many bags as me walk through without a glance. Whatever. I get back to self checkout and ask the woman if she can print another receipt. She says she can't help me and calls for a manager. After 5 minutes of waiting I decide to try to leave again. The cafe at school closes at a certain time and I didn't plan on staying as long as the predicament caused me to. I walk back over to the door to see the worker once again letting white folks through without checking any receipt. Yet when I get there again he goes out of his way to physically puts himself between me and the door and tells me once again to present a receipt. I tell him that she woman at self checkout couldn't help me and I really needed to leave and responds by saying I can't leave with what I'd bought without a receipt. At this point I tell him to call someone or check the camera in place at self checkout because I definitely paid for my items. After a while of this standoff he finally lets me go. The problem wasn't that they needed to check a receipt. After all if stealing is an issue then it's only fair. The problem was that customer service did a terrible job of helping an innocent customer that needed a receipt, and that only certain people were being forced to present one. I've been to many Walmarts in my home city but this is by far the worst Walmart I've ever been to and I feel very sorry for Tulsa that it exists in its current state. I will never shop at this store again, I was treated like I had a disease because I was a causation male. The girl that waited on me was a person of color. I was checking out in the self check out and the hand held scanner didn't work. I looked at the attendant and told her that it didn't scan my items. I had a 50lb bag of dog food in my basket. She just looked at me but said nothing,I have bad shoulders so lugging the bag on that scanner bed wasn't easy. I didn't except her to lug it for me but I expected at least a response from her. I buy from both of our two major chains in Tulsa. This particular Walmart is the worst one to go to. Panhandlers in the parking lot, although they get run off quickly. I don't like the fresh fruits and vegetables here as much. Long waiting lines, unruly bawling kids because they didn't get what they wanted. I have a theory that since Walmart tries be everything: food, clothes, pets, sports section, patio, nails, hair, pharmacy, all while operating on a skeleton crew, they fall short. There are some savings to be made here, but I have found chilled section items to go bad quickly - like the items were unloaded from the delivery truck to the back dock, but not enough employees to get the items to the frozen or chilled areas where they go fast enough. One big plus for Walmart is that if you like wax melts, they have a brand "Better Homes and Gardens" that has excellent throw, and "made in America" sticker on it. read more

Bb today, 12/31/20 at 12:50 PM, I presented payment for my qualifying United Healthcare OTC healthy benefits plus purchase and was told by the cashier that "we don't except digital scans". The healthy benefits plus payment system is a barcode within the United Healthcare app, which partners hand-in-hand with Walmart. This woman, after I asked how long that's been the policy since in the last 30 days I had twice used my benefits allotment in exactly this store in this manner, informed me "well I'm a supervisor so I know what I'm talking about". Well, this supervisor just denied me my insurance benefits which has a lot, a lot more implication legally than just an unhappy customer... This isn't my only negative experience but it is the most recent. Good luck if you're doomed to use this Walmart. read more

My wife entered the store at about 9:15am on May 12, 2021, we were rudely greeted by two female so called "greeters" who said we had to have face coverings to enter the store. I argued that I had shopped there before once Tulsa's mask mandate had expired on April 30. They said that Walmart is a private company and it is company policy. I said that if that is the case it should be enforced universally. They had just assisted a woman in front of us get a shopping basket who was wearing no mask. We observed several people throughout the store without masks including 4 Walmart employees with masks pulled down below their chins. I'd have to agree that this is one of the lowest class Walmart stores I've ever been in. I don't know what the history of the store is, and what it used to be like. As for the inside - I suppose it is much the same as other Walmarts, though it does seem to be in a cluttered state - always hand carts and restocking - things clogging up the aisles more than seems regular to me. What I will say is the level of clientele is really the worst. I wouldn't want my wife or kids going in here alone, especially after dark. Also while some of the workers are friendly enough, the customer service and management is rude and unhelpful. They treat everyone here like a suspect. I'll still head out here if they are the only place with what I need in stock (or somehow the best price), but I'll stick with the one at 6625 S Memorial even though its a farther drive. read more

Walmart is a haven for hackers and thieves. Dear Mr. Brazzo (Head of Fraud Strategy at Walmart US eCommerce): My Walmart account was recently hacked and several orders were placed. Fortunately, Chase's fraud alert team was smart enough to decline the first order for an iPhone. I immediately changed my password for my Walmart account and attempted to cancel the remaining orders. The second order was subsequently returned. The third order made it to your Tulsa OK Walmart Super Center, ready for pickup. Since it was placed in a Pickup Tower the thief can now freely go to the Tower, enter the order number without needing to show ID, and leave the store Scot-Free with the stolen item. Following is what I noticed as weak links in your fraud strategy. 1) Hacker was able to obtain my password possibly through social engineering - definitely not brute force attack. 2) My attempts to cancel failed although my order details clearly stated "Cancellation Requested." 3) Hacker doesn't need to log into account or have access to emails to track orders. He simply needs the original email address and last six digits of order number. 4) The Pickup Tower, although sounds convenient, is a hacker's dream since no ID is required for pickup. 5) MOST IMPORTANTLY. I tried contacting the associates working at the Tulsa OK Walmart to inform them of this fraudulent order and none of them could do anything. Seriously? The item is right there in the store. If they can place it in the Tower, why can't they remove it, especially since the order details clearly stated "Cancellation Requested". This is clearly a symptom of poor training or "I don't give a crap - call Walmart.com - attitude." Again, seriously? Call Walmart.com when the item is already sitting in the Pickup Tower at the store? Your customer service manager can't pull up the order number and hit a "magic" button to cancel, void, return, nullify, delete or anything more useful than "There's nothing I can do...call Walmart.com"? I finally gave up, since my credit card company already removed the fraudulent charges. Mr. Brazzo, no thanks to Walmart's fraud (is it anti-fraud or pro-fraud) strategy, I as a consumer was still protected. read more

Truly, as others have pointed out, this is THE worst Walmart in Tulsa and possibly Oklahoma. The staff are rude, inept, and lazy. The store is often cluttered. The parking lot is often a gauntlet of panhandlers and people hustling fake or obviously stolen goods. The customers here tend to fit the People of Walmart stereotype. You may think that one Walmart is the same as any other, but you'd be completely wrong. This Walmart is very poorly laid out. For example: I went looking for pancake mix and assumed it would be with the baking items. It wasn't. Then I looked in the breakfast cereal isle. I found one brand there, but three isles over I found the rest in a completely unrelated section. This issue isn't isolated to just pancake mix. I often find myself walking up and down each isle looking for an item that should have been with similar items, only to find it obscurely placed with unrelated items, or that different brands of the same item are in different isles scattered throughout the store. Just when I think I had it figured out and know all the obscure places to find what I'm looking for, they change it up, like a sadistic shell game. The running joke now is, if you can't find it, it's probably by the diapers, or the motor oil. Crime is also a factor at this location. I have personally witnessed no less than a half-dozen violent altercations either in the store or that have spilled out into the parking lot. This was also the same location where a gang-related shooting took place. Because this location is the closest to where I live, I'll go there when I'm in a rush. Otherwise I'll drive a little farther and visit a location where I feel safer and can actually find what I'm looking for. read more

There are never enough registers manned, products you buy on a regular basis suddenly get pulled from the store and are never seen again. I used to have them do my oil changes but no more. They messed up an oil drain plug. They messed it up by using wrong sized socket on it. I couldn't get it off to change oil!! Bad,Bad,Worse...My 73 yr old mother always has her car serviced here. About a month ago she dropped it off and was doing some shopping while they did the work.Here comes the nightmare one of the employees moved the van into an area that got it back over by one of their very own truck drivers. Instead of the store replacing some signal bulbs and putting some red tape over a signal light they simply told her she would have to take it to an auto parts store and do it herself. Did I mention that she is 73yrs. old and by her self. Instead of taking a chance of being ticketed she had to call family member who had to run around and find the stuff and do the temporary repair so that she could get home..Oh yeah , after she paid her bill for servicing her van. Did I mention that this has been over a month ago and after many calls and still no insurance adjuster from Wall-Mart. It seems the INTEGRITY that this corporation was founded on no longer exist. It's much nicer, the face lift is wonderful but it is on the north side of town, if you live on admiral you know better and everybody else does too that a Walmart located on Memorial and Admiral probably isn't the safest one in town. I had to return a battery from my truck to automotive that was recently purchased, they had to first test it. It took over an hour to test the battery? 1 hour really? this is 2015? I waited patiently for an hour then was advised that my battery needed to be replaced. The only worker in automotive paged for a manager 3 times to do the warranty replacement for me. Never a resonance, "NEVER" . After 30 more minutes I had enough and asked the attendant where was the managers in this Walmart and why are they not doing their jobs and supporting their staff and helping the customers? She responded they always do this to us! I told her I would go find a manager, she told me to go to the customer service counter in the front of the store. This was around 12:45pm Saturday 12/12/15, So off I went to find a manager sense no one ever responded. I told several people at the returns desk my issue and one employee actually tried to argue with me like it was my fault? really? I walked back to automotive and 5 minutes later an automotive supervisor finally showed up and used his key to do the exchange. I do not hold the attendant responsible for this issue, she was trying her best, the problem is management! or lack thereof! support your staff and fix the broken customer service at this location. This store is known as the GHETTO Walmart store in Tulsa! not for its location but because of how its run! It was shut down and renovated recently but it is clear that the Ghetto employees have been allowed to return. There are good people there but the bad apples outnumber the good. Anyone who shops there knows my comments are true! Fire the bad ones, hire more Security to police the staff and public and change the atmosphere of this store! Train your staff to not argue with the customer!
