AWESOME WILDCAT MERCH! I really enjoyed the organization of this Walmart, the college merch (University of Arizona) was easily accessible at the front of the store. They had Wildcats shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies galore. I bought a high-quality tee for $20 bucks. Overall, the clothing section of the store was well-stocked. I saw tons of jeans, fandom pajamas, and neat trucker hats. Wetmore's Walmart has a grocery section in the middle of the store which makes it easy to locate items if you're in a rush (at least it worked for me). The staff were pretty polite. I got a pleasant worker at the register who was working super fast! I came on a Wednesday morning during New Year's Eve, the store wasn't too packed. The doctor sent Rx to wrong Walmart. I live in Oracle and do not want to drive all that way if the Rx is not ready. I called and because I didn't have a Rx I couldn't put a number in to find out. I then pushed 0 to talk to someone. The message said it would get me someone to help. The phone rang and rang and no one picked up. Finally someone did pick up and I could tell the line was open but no one answered. I figured I couldn't call back because the line was open so I didn't know what to do. I'm frustrated. All they had to say was hold please but they didn't. The person I would pick up the Rx for is in a lot of pain but like I said they wouldn't pick up so I would know it was ready. I would usually NEVER write a review for a chain or big box store, but sometimes I hate them so much I can't resist! When I'm in Tucson, I stay in this neighborhood. It's mostly nice, but a bit rough around the edges. Walmart makes it look much worse than it actually is. This might be the first Walmart I've seen employ more police than actual cashiers. There is often just *one* register open, and that is literally only because it takes an actual human to check IDs and sell tobacco products. For everyone else, it's a 15 minute wait just to scan your own items. Half the time you're here, you'll see the police executing their sole function--to detain anyone suspected of shoplifting. You will start to wonder how a profession can get so much glory when it's often spent as glorified LP. It gets worse--this is the only "Supercenter" I have *ever* seen that does not have even a halfway adequate grocery section. It's just a couple isles of frozen goods, eggs, and cured meats. It is not much different from attempting to shop for food at a gas station. There are often people who look like they're drunk or on something lounging and sleeping out behind the garden center at night. People drive like shit here, keep your head on a swivel. I don't know why but cars have almost hit me twice. Last night, I saw a pickup crashed into a wall by the entrance and surrounded by cops. It could just be bad roadway design or inadequate signage. But I'd like to think this Walmart is just especially cursed. More cursed than they usually are. read more

Coming to this place on a Saturday at 1 PM the people who were here were not scary. I'm not trying to be prejudiced but I've been to some Walmart and I had a few luxe from some people that made me feel insecure. Here is the way we enter from the right we leave from the left it was well-managed for the pandemic. Some eyes a little bit too tight. Went because Harbor Freight closed at 8pm and it was 9:05pm. Took bus, shopped and asked clerk at the self check out to check stock for a dress 1 size smaller than the one I found. He looked at me like I was crazy. He went through the motions but I doubt he really checked. I made small chatter about hoping I had enough on my card to pay for all my items... laughing about it. I scanned and paid for all my items, phew, lol and was then told by the same clerk that I didn't pay for the last 5 items on my receipt! Really pissed me off! I don't steal or shoplift! I'm probably the only person in self check out that didn't steal from them! Don't you people check the dam recordings before accusing customers of stealing? Makes me not want to shop ever again. I barely got a whisper of an apology from the clerk. The manager should have come and apologized to me at least! I was very angry about it since I'd just spent $80 there! Hey how about given a gift card for delaying me those few minutes which caused me to miss my bus home. So now I'm walking home and posting this. What the hell Walmart!?!?! I recently purchased an electric scooter and I needed to buy a bike lock for it. I rode the scooter to this Walmart and brought it into the store. I stopped and asked the greeter if it was ok to bring the scooter in because I don't have a lock for it yet and that I was here to buy one. She gave me a grumpy stare for a few seconds and then nodded her head. No good morning or welcome to Walmart. I felt like I was being judged. So I go back to the bicycle area and I asked one of the employees if they could help me get a bike lock since they were in a locked cabinet. She told me that she has to get someone else because she didn't have a key. I heard a call for an associate to go to the bicycle area to help a customer. Definitely not a great place to shop. It is cluttered, layout and signage are terrible, the aisles are narrow, they have a very small selection of stock and they have poor customer service. The worst part about it, is that it seems to be the typical experience here and yet nobody seems to care about it. I came here for a simple 5 shelf book case and they didn't have one in stock. Then I tried to find a package of V neck undershirts, and they had none of my size in stock. When I asked someone to check and see if they had it, I was asked to wait a few minutes. after 15 minutes of waiting, I just decided to leave. This Walmart is an absolute trip, the best worst experience I've ever had. I went in for bread and left with memories I'll never forget. Everywhere you look, you are seeing every color known to man with a completely unpredictable display of items. This store has no idea how small it is and does not care as it is packed wall to wall with everything you can dream of. Called me petty but after I returned an item worths around $4.50, the cashier did not print off the returning slip and after 10 days, I still didn't get my credit back. I just don't want to spend more time disputing and having them pulling out their security camera for a $4.50. They probably will call me cheap. When I checked this item out, I realized the cashier, a middle-aged black haired woman of a Latino type, didn't apply my coupon so I just went back on the checking lane to have it return. This is the worst Walmart I've been to yet. Seems understaffed or that the staff are simply hiding. I pressed one of those "help assistant buttons" and waited 10 minutes. NO ONE CAME. Let me preface by saying that I like Walmart just as much as others. They have cheaper products, bulk products, good hours, etc., and I appreciate that. I also like employing the people of Tucson. But this Walmart is terrible! Let me start by reviewing the store itself. The place is always a mess. There are boxes in the way of every aisle, there are things falling off the shelves, other shelves are bare, and in the food area there is always something spilled on a floor. Just absolutely terrible conditions. And the store's answer seems to be "put in new fridges!" but that doesn't cut it. If you need a bathroom, they say to use the one in the front where the Subway is. But the Subway cashier seems to think that is for customers of Subway only. So definitely pee before you come because that's a confusing mess. Or pee on the floor. They probably wouldn't notice. The staff is rude. I once asked for help finding a medicine in the pharmacy area. I'm literally standing in an aisle with medicine, but can't find what I need. The employee says, "It should be somewhere in that section." Wow. Great tip. There is always about 1, maybe 2, lanes open. Doesn't matter the time of day. Since no one else is doing anything, just wandering around not cleaning the store, helping people, putting stuff away, getting boxes out of the way for customers, I'd expect there to be lines open. There hardly ever are. So get ready for a big, long wait. Admittedly, the cashier's always seem to be very nice. But once they forgot to take a Blu-Ray out of a case for me so the security buzzer went off. Guy immediately assumed I stole it before looking at my receipt. Ugh. That was a fun experience. The parking lot, it sucks. There are carts everywhere (not their fault that someone didn't put them away, but maybe have someone go wrangle carts once an hour or something). And here's the best part... be ready for panhandlers to tell you they need money for something. Usually a hotel. You've seen them texting or smoking. But now they want money from you. Get some security to politely ask these people, usually young men, not to corner me near my car. In short: NEVER coming to this place again. read more

This would be a one-star wal-mart but we went at a quarter to midnight when no customers were in the store. So parking was available without an astrovan taking up 3 spots at the front of the store. We were able to enter the front doors without having to navigate around a family of eight (all on rascals). And when we checked out, there was only one obviously underage boy trying to coax the cashier into selling him Arbor Mist and rolling papers. I absolutely hate this place. When I leave, I feel like I need a shower. We've been here more than we like because the Target has been closed while they are turning it into a Super Target. I gave it 2 stars because they did actually have cute curtains for our nursery. We looked at 6 different places before we bit the bullet and went there. This WalMart is definitely the second yuckiest in Tucson. (The first being the one on Valencia. ) We only started going to this one because it was the closest to where we lived. The place gives you and overall dirty feeling when you leave. The lines are typically very long at the check out. Which is probably due to their only being a couple open at a time and the incredibly slow check out people. Lucky for us we usually get into the cashier named Gabes line. He is quick and efficient. I get my prescriptions filled at this location also. The pharmacy staff is usually pretty good. All in all though it is a Walmart. Does anyone really ever have high expectations. If you do want a quality Walmart I would recommend the one in Oro Valley or the one on Cortaro. read more

On a ONE time shopping trip, I had a man approach me about selling COX cable (or something of sorts) he was super creepy and it made me very uncomfortable. Later on, I was trying to look for something and I couldn't find it, so I saw a worker 2 feet away from me and said "excuse me" three times. I was completely ignored. I was also being helped at customer service for a return, and the lady helping me was in a way not engaging which also made me uncomfortable.
