Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, the was a policeman perhaps moonlighting a second job. I've seen him about town and he was insistent that I had ordered a pair of glasses only Harry Truman would wear. The moonlighting fellow placed a pair glasses with a line bifocal. I didn't order those ; his tone was harsh and I was uncomfortable. Policemen who need part time income should try to fix cars or lawnmowers Many have terrific manual skills . The are great at helping folks who are stuck. My next visit was just a awkward. The lady waiting on me said she had 43 pairs of glasses . She proceeded to show me all her inventory on layaway . In the city of witches she would scare all the boys and ghouls. However, she did own a beautiful car. I just saw one exactly like it. With the problems I have, I cannot wait for a meter. Parking is tight and restricted. I will always remember the first rate eyewear I would religiously purchase at Banville . The owner is kind and nice. I spent over $700 out-of-pocket on a pair of glasses, and my insurance paid for the rest. Within a month a lens scratched and Advanced repalced it. Less than a year after my purchase what looked like a grain of sand became embedded in a lens. Also I noticed the red paint was starting to chip from the metal frame. I came in and immediately the person at the counter said something like sorry, we no longer carry that brand. Not understanding why that should be my problem, I asked to speak to the manager. He was pretty rude & said there was nothing that could be done about the paint and then acted like he would do me a big favor - rather than standing by his product - by replacing the lens, while trying to make me feel like this was my fault. He expalained that he had the same brand glasses and multiple children who were regularly grabbing them off his face, yet he never had a problem with these glasses. That's a great story, but I'll never return here!

You literally lied to me so what happened was I got a prescription and they sold me some frames so first you tell me the frames are $1200 I'm on disability I'm disabled. I can't afford that. Tell him he told me oh yeah you have to pay to get it fixed, but you told me the manager you told me that it was covered yeah I know I said that, but you have to pay is this even legal then he says I'll fix it one time for free then now it's all no void no what happened to my 12 month warranty on top of that let me tell you on top of that he says and you can't even get the frames that you paid for you have to pick out a different set of frames. I flunked my first contact application appointment and I booked a second appointment for contacts at 3:30 hesitantly, explaining I wouldn't be able to arrive until 3:40. I was assured this would be fine. I arrived at 3:40 and went into the doctors' office around 4:10/4:20. I had practiced beforehand and was able to put the contacts in (hooray!). I had an unexpectedly really hard time getting the contacts out though. After trying for a while and asking for help, my doctor Amanda Gannon told me she "didn't know what to tell me" and that if I couldn't get them out by myself or with assistance that I would have to go to the ER and have them surgically removed and that MyEyeDoctor was closing in 10 minutes. She kept telling me that I had to get the contacts out and that they were closing until I started crying. She kindly told me she would wait until I could get them off and after the pressure was taken off, I was able to take out the contacts. She told me I had "gotten myself worked up" and that I would most likely be able to put contacts in at home. I was surprised to see that I left exactly at 5, which is when MyEyeDoctor closes. I can't imagine how hard these eye doctors are working and how much they want to get home, but this is one of those experiences in healthcare that will stick with me. I appreciate the doctor giving me some extra time, but I really feel like this whole thing could have been avoided with different scheduling or with my doctor easing up when she realized I was struggling with the contacts. I did wind up getting them out in time for closing, but I was really scared and upset. Lovely front of desk people, nurses, and doctors, and I've had very positive experiences with my glasses, so perhaps this was just a bad day.

It will be 10 weeks this Monday since I had my eye exam and was fitted for my glasses . At the 4 week mark I called left a message and received no reply . I then called 6 more times . Other times it said they were with a patient and would get back to me they didn't There hours seem to be whatever they feel like . This week they were closed Monday open Tueday 2 to 6 closed Wed and Thursday Friday 2 to 6 and today Saturday they opened at 3:30 and now it's 4:46 and online says closing soon open Tuesday at 2 pm . Finally I've had to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission , the consumer division of the Mass Attorney General's office , and the customer service of my insurance company . I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my worst experience with a business

NO one had called to let me know if they were in so I called back 10 days later and the voicemail message said they were CLOSED FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. The person checking me in kept mentioning that "everyone was at lunch," which didn't exactly inspire confidence. The whole visit felt very disorganized. I was moved through four different rooms for what should have been a routine appointment. One for check-in, another for testing, a third to answer questions, and a fourth to see the doctor. After my exam, I had to stand around waiting to check out because it seemed like a new employee was being trained. One person was trying to do their own job while training someone, while several other staff members were just standing around. My appointment was a routine contact lens and glasses exam. They didn't have trial lenses in my new prescription, which wasn't a big deal because they said they could order them and have them in a couple days. Great! But when I went back to pick up the trial lenses, the check-in process felt just as disorganized as my first visit. I eventually got the lenses, and the doctor told me to try them out and come back if they didn't work for me. Unfortunately, they weren't a good fit, so I called to ask about trying a different brand. I was told they didn't have trial lenses for the new brand again and it would take two weeks to get them. I was confused because my first set only took a couple of days to come in. On top of that, the office was closed for a full week around the July 4th holiday, so now I'm looking at almost a month just to try a second pair of contacts. My concern is, what if this second pair doesn't work either? Am I going to have to wait another two weeks? Trying different lenses is a normal part of getting the right fit, but the whole process has been much slower and more frustrating than it should be. Overall, the office just felt very disorganized, and the contact lens process has been unnecessarily drawn out. I left feeling more frustrated than anything else. Also, they might want to talk to the staff about walking around vaping in their scrubs around the parking lot it's not a professional look for a medical office.
