However the eyeglass side of the business managed by Tracy Charrette is the worst I have experienced - definitely the most unprofessional managment staff of a supposedly professional profession experience in my lifetime. Both my wife and I purchased eye glasses and after three return visits by me and four for my wife, the eyeglasses are not useable, both of us are using our previous prescription eyeglasses purchased prior to our move to Raleigh. She has no respect for our time or expectations for a usable pair of eyeglasses. Spent just south of $1,000 (plus insurance contribution) for two pair of glasses, for myself and my wife. The office is on the first floor of a larger medical building and that building has plenty of parking. The office has extended operating hours on certain days if you need an appointment outside of normal business hours. I've always been welcomed when I enter the office and fill out any information needed. Then the techs that do the initial tests are very friendly as well. Dr. McPherson has always been thorough and friendly during the exam. I like that there is a new option to avoid the dilation of the eyes. I will gladly pay the additional fee to avoid that.

I ordered my glasses on October 9th. Today is November 11th. The first time they were received, I saw two of everything. The lady who helped me with the try on advised me to "just wear them until my eyes adjust!" I said no! I'm leaving them here. I refused to put me or other in that kind of danger! She also said she confirmed the prescription was correct. I had to schedule a follow-up appointment to have my eyes examed a second time. During that visit, I was told something was definitely entered incorrectly. So the glasses had to be sent back to be corrected. I just went back to pick them up, and the vision was blurry. The receptionist was very kind but advised me that Kim would have to assist with adjusting them. The fit wasn't the issue. It was my vision. Kim was on lunch, so I gave the receptionist the bag with the new glasses and told her I would like a refund. She nor Kim was able to help with that, so I was told to call on Monday morning. We have insurance and we wanted the high dollar lenses .... My wife needs progressives... and they messed those up so she could not see. When you go back... they say you have to get a new exam to prove the Rx is still good.... Even though we got the exam the same day we ordered ... then we wanted the free second pair ... which we didn't qualify for while we waited until the glasses came back... so I paid $130 which she swore was the cheapest progressives could get... she then started processing the third pair ... I realized she charged me for tinting the quick pair even though she didn't tint them. Then I looked online and it was 2 pair of progresses for 69... her response was ... well you have to get two ... really .... At that point it was taking so long .. I just didn't feel like waiting for her to undo that transaction since we still had more glasses to order. When I asked if I could get refund she said .... You can just have tinted later or get refund when you come back. That turned out not to be true. They probably made about 1800 on us and now they are refusing to refund us $29 for services we didn't ask or receive. It's ridiculous... the specials are a scam!

I'm a fan of this MyEyeDr location! It's easy to make an appointment online. Day of, I didn't have…read morethat much of a wait. Of course they do try to upsell you on their fancier eye exam services that are not covered by insurance. The exam was quick and I was able to get my prescription. It was my first time wearing glasses! I was planning on just heading out, but they are smart and pass you right off to a glasses sales person as soon as you exit the exam room. My sales person was Jose and he did an awesome job. Since I've never worn glasses before I had no idea what I was looking for. Based on my face shape he was able to suggest some great options and gave me honest feedback as I was trying them on. I was able to find a pair of glasses and sunglasses. Of course there is the second phase of the upsell for insurance, blue light, glare, etc. But, I went for all of the above, I'm prone to breaking things so the insurance seemed like a good idea. I recently went in for another pair of glasses and experienced wonderful service again. I had sat on my sunglasses and they were able to quickly bend the frame back into place for me while I shopped around. Overall this spot is convenient with friendly staff!
