Walmart vision center. First don't pay the extra $25 for protection of your glasses because they don't honor it. I think it's just a bonus for the people that work there. Most of the people are not experienced they are learning on the job. They charge top dollar for frames and lenses and the work is inferior. Beware if you have a problem with the lenses they may not redo them for you and if they do they will only do it once. They will rip you off. Go any place else. Very bad experience, especially at the Glendale location on 59th. read more

Scheduled an eye exam at this location. Prior to exam, asked Iris to adjust my glasses. Iris broke my glass frames (less than a year old). Iris offered no apology nor a discount on new purchase. Just returned to me and said "oh well, store not liable." When requested to speak with manager, she said "Tom on vacation." read more

my second year coming. We love Dr. Emmanuella and staff special the asian dude and Angelina. You can tell they enjoy working there and they love people. I sometimes lost faith on people specially customer service and I understand that nowadays they get treated bad but not all. I myself work in customer service for a long time and i know how it goes. Hard to find good people who cares and know what they are doing. New staff who was there was also very kind toward to my son who has autism. My insurance didnt even cover but i still see them. We are so lucky to manage to find Dr. Emmanuella, Angelina and another gentleman working there. I am so sick and tired of dealing with bad customer service . I took 6 kids and Dr. Emmanuella was fun and good to our kids. Another staff even switch on the TV for my kids. Of course kids will be kids but they handled them very well. Moving to US and starting over in finding doctors we got very lucky with Dr. Emmanuella and Angelina should get promoted she seems to love what she do and you could tell that she is willing to help. We were very disappointed today in an employee. In previous years, the staff had been very professional. The previous doctors had been excellent, including Dr. Lena Go and Dr. Emma Offoha! Dr Yates was just ok. However, one employee was very rude and unprofessional. He did the few pre-tests prior to seeing the Dr. and also worked at the desk giving out initial paperwork. He told my 15 year old son that his eyelashes were in the way. When my son asked what he should do, he rudely said, "move them!" My 19 year old daughter had difficulty keeping her eyes open for the puff of air when they check presssures. He kept getting angry at my daughter for not being able to hold her eye open. Also, when he gave me forms to fill out, he didn't make eye contact, wasn't friendly, and didn't smile. He just kept staring at his computer screen. One of the other office staff wasn't very friendly either. read more

My experience was extremely positive. I had a pair of lenses blow out, lost the screws and needed a repair. I spoke to Julie who took my frames into the back and returned moments later and handed me my glasses..all fixed ! I asked her how much I owed for the repair and she answered, "nothing" . The doctors at this Vision Center overcharge their patients. I went in due to one of my eyes being sensitive to light and thought maybe I had scratched my eye. I was charged $75 for an eye exam which is fine.I was told to get over-the-counter eye drops. The over-the-counter eye drops were $20 they were supposed to be for allergies. My eye continued to bother me. I called back the following week and asked for maybe a prescription eye drop since my eye hadn't shown any Improvement. I was told I would be charged for another eye exam. Seems like a scam to me to be charged for another eye exam, apparently didn't get it right the first exam. I wouldn't recommend this Vision Center. read more

I have never had my contacts take as long to receive as when I have ordered them here, not only that they will tell you a time frame and it has yet to be right on 2 different occasions! Pair that with people saying they will call you back and not doing so and horrible phone skills from some of the staff I hope this location closes. The optometrist is great! She is super friendly but she needs a new staff that actually knows and cares about what they are doing. I visited this office due to a very good deal for a contact and glasses prescription. Well, you get what you pay for. After the first appointment, I ordered contacts and glasses with my new prescription. My glasses work great now. But my contacts were a disaster and did not work for me at all. I returned to the office a week later to be brought back right away which was very accommodating and kind of them. The doctor recommended another brand and told me that toric lenses would take some getting used to. They worked better at first so I ordered one box for each eye from costco. Then I started noticing that when the contacts rotated, I could not see any more. I spent half the day unable to see and function at work or driving. Also after a few days of opening a new pair, the contacts went very blurry. Costco graciously ordered me a couple more pairs for free to get me by, since my contacts were getting blurry after a few days instead of the 2 weeks they were supposed to last. But they suggested I follow up at walmart to get the axis adjusted on my prescription. I called walmart only to be told that I would have to pay for a whole new contact prescription from them, even after i explained the situation and they realized the prescription I paid for initially was never correct. They told me that if I don't return to them within 2 months (I called almost exactly 2 months later), I have to pay the full fee again. (A policy that they conveniently never told me about initially) Long story short, I paid them 60 dollars for a CORRECT contact prescription I never recieved. This place is a scam and unreasonable. I will be using Costco in the future as they have shown that they care about my vision. read more

Worst service EVER!!!! I just spoke to Julie who calls herself the supervisor not only is she rude and uneducated but she refuses to offer service. She is refusing to sell me contacts when my prescription is not expired until 10-2-19 then I ask if she can fax my prescription and she said no I can't do that that she has to fax to a dr. I say ok let me give you the fax # to my doctor and she is like you have to sign a release. Then she proceeds to say if I don't like her answers to go somewhere else. She is the worst and I don't recommend this place to anyone avoid it especially JULIE!!! She shouldn't even work their as her customer service skills are the worse. read more

This place was a complete joke to me. Never coming back to this vision center. I only came in to check on how much my moms insurance from her job covers hers because I was doing her a favor. Spoke with the "supervisor" and by the look they gave me I had a gut feeling I was gonna hate her. Things went somewhat smoothly. She couldn't figure out why my moms social security number was registered to someone else's name turns out she must have made a mistake and finally found my moms coverage fees, I noticed she was writing it down on a paper, informed me on everything and then asked if i wanted to do an appointment, asked my mom since it wasn't for me, she said no and I nicely told the 'supervisor' "No thank you, we'll come back another time" she made a face and then I asked her if I could have all the information she had written down since it was all I came for after all. She then proceeds to THROW this paper so rudely to me with her "I'm so mad" face. Felt as if I was dealing with a child. She had no reason for that. Too mad one particular person ruins it for the rest. A smile goes a long way for customer service. If you don't like helping people or hate your job then go get another one, it's not the customers fault. read more

I'd highly recommend going to this Walmart if you're getting eyeglasses and have a tight budget. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There was a slight issue with ordering replacement lenses, but Veronica (who I believe is the manager?) made the situation right and then some. She went above and beyond to take great care of me.
