Today i went to walmart and this Walmart has been my favorite but from two years on foward the Walmart staff has changed and not in a good way. Its not the cashiers fault but the managers fault because the managers should train them much better. The managers are not capable of training their employees. If they keep hiring Managers like the ones that are at this walmart, Walmart will lose its customer. I waited 20 minutes and a worker finally comes to help me and she took the product and went to the back and looked Up the price after she came back she told me the price and told me to make line again but i had already paid for the other things. I am very shocked by the attitude of this store and the patronizing attitude of the managers in the handling of my complaint relating to a lack of service during the special senior hours... (offered on Tuesdays at 6 am.) at the Fallbrook, West Hills store. I called and confirmed that I could return an item and when I arrived, customer service was closed. I was told I would have to wait till after 7. Senior be careful... The point of the special hours is to lessen the chance of covid exposure. Well, having me wait around, considering that we were warned that that day was expected to be the peak... so I asked a manager to handle it for me and she took the return, a sealed box and receipt and put them behind the counter. She used her keys to go into a stock room and disappeared. I went home and called the customer service area and she answered, stating that I was suppose to wait. I said, just ring up the darned thing. I called Walmart Headquarters and they called the store and said it would be taken care of... yesterday I got a call that I had to come down. Well, the manager had the receipt and the merchandise and the ability to have received it at any register, but somehow acting my best interest wasn't in Walmart's agenda. I went in today and talked to a manager who seemed very disinterested in my complaint and I asked her if she took the virus seriously or if she was wearing the mask as some kind of Halloween mask. The clerk took the receipt and inputted it in and out popped the return receipt. So reason for me to be there! No store manager on duty. I went to the pharmacist and asked her to talked to the store manager and explained to him/her why it was so important to follow through with the senior day. Was the day just a PR stunt or should not basic services be made available? May be they would listen to a medical person? I walk away from this feeling that the senior's needs are not being met and that Walmart really is not concerned about the virus spead as it relates to a compromised group. This bases on numerous contacts and the lacks, patronizing experiences. My wife did not want to just walk into the store and cut the line as she had shopping to do. I was told to do that to get immediate attention from the customer service. She looked at the line around the building and it was obvious why seniors should be given the special time with at lease a basic ability to buy and return items. Tonight was an all time low for this store. It seems as though every time I come to this store, no one is available to assist me in getting things from the locked cabinets. I usally don't bother and come here because it is such a bad experience every time. This time there was an unusual amount of boxes that needed to be opened and stocked on the floor impeding the isle. It seemed as though a worker just left and didn't care that that was a hazard. When I was ready to check out there were 3 cashiers available and self-check out. There had to be over 200 people waiting in line. I was told by one of the workers that half of the staff was on their dinner break. That is poor management. Another trip before this, I waited 10 minutes for a worker to open the locked cabinets. He said he saw me waiting, but he wasn't going to cut his break short. Nonetheless, this is not the first or the last time I have been in shock of how the employees disregard their position and/or customers. I needed a new toaster boiler oven and since I already had to return one I bought online, I decided to go to the store itself to see actually what I was buying. There were missing ovens on the shelves above the price tags underneath but lots of boxed product in the area. The dept was a little messy with things moved around. I found two boxes of the ones I wanted to compare but they were not displayed and there was no one working the area, so I opened two boxes. I was immediately confronted by a female clerk and when I told her there were none on display, she walked away. Then Farhid, another clerk, showed up and asked me what I was doing. I said I already told her, since you have none on display, I am opening the box so I can actually see the product. That was a bad deed according to him. He gave me the "we don't want people opening boxes because if everybody starts opening boxes, blah, blah, blah". I then said no they will not be opening all the boxes if you have one on display. He continued to give me flack so I asked him loudly if he wanted us to take it up with a Manager or does he expect me to buy two of them, drive a long way home, open them, and then have to return one of them? He then walked away but kept an eye on me like I was planning to steal them. Walmart has a serious problem if they do not want to display the products they sell above the price tags. And they need to teach their employees to be kinder to consumers instead of treating them like criminals. I am an elderly woman who just wants to buy an appliance. A store like this should never have empty display shelves. That's why we go to the store, to see and inspect the product we are buying. Went to purchase a mini fridge made by Frigidaire, a portable pink 9 can holder, and with luck they had one available for $24 dollars. I go to check out and the cashier says they can't seek it to me because the system won't let them... they think it's due to a company recall. I call the company to see what the recall is about and they say there is no recall and it's an issue with the store. I call the store to clarify and see if I could go back to get the last pink fridge available there and they just put you on hold from one person to the other and never clarified why they could make the sale.... currently on hold for 30 minutes now... when someone said customer service would be able to answer and explain why that happened.... once customer service picked up the lady asked me to hold on twice and never got back on the line. Worst experience of my life After driving around from store to store I stopped at Walmart to to see if they had toilet paper, diapers,wipes and etc. Luckily we found some we waited in line like everyone else as we made our purchase of our toilet paper and Lysol and started to make our way to the front to pay for our other stuff when a customer approached us and told us that they just took out the waters. We turned around and made our way to the middle of the aisle and people were grabbing waters so my husband grabbed 3 cases that were on the floor and as the crowd became bigger and aggressive Walmart employee start rushing to stop the people from grabbing the water. As my husband grabbed the water from the floor the Walmart employee told my husband " I promise you you ain't going to f***k buy those water" my husband replies " oh yes I'm f**ken am" the employee said "we'll see" my husband said "you have a bless day" and walked away. As we were going to the register we asked another employee if we could speak to a manager and the asset protection guy named JOSEPH pretended to be the manager as we explained what was happening. He was letting us purchase the water and the employee that had exchanged words with my husband made her way to where we were and told the Asset protection "I clearly told them they weren't going to buy the water" that's when he grabbed the water out of our cart and started racial profiling us because were Hispanic. Then he said we were trying to steal the water when clearly we were trying to purchase the water and other stuff. Automatic 1 star for checking receipts upon leaving. Do you know you don't have to wait in line or have to allow them to check your receipt upon leaving? It's wrongful detention, if they try to stop you, ask if you're being detained, if they say yes, ask for a lawyer or better yet sue them for wrongly detention, they can't detain you by law. They would be foolish to tell you you're being detained. They can ask you to leave but they can't detain you. Always remember that. Showing a receipt is not mandatory on your part. They can stop you and tell you they suspect you of shoplifting and try to detain you but they can't detain you for failing to show them your receipt. You don't have to show your receipt upon leaving, just refuse or say no thank you and walk out. The only place you have to show a receipt is Costco or Sam's Club, where those are private memberships and a requirement of said membership to show your receipt. Even though Walmart owns Sam's Club, they can't enforce the receipt check at Walmart as it's not a private club. For Walmart to be doing this is theatrical in nature and don't let them degrade you by having to show a receipt on your purchase. Just walk out. Don't let them humiliate you. You paid for the items, even the receipt is your property, don't let them snatch it from your hands like they always do. read more

This seems to be the only Walmart in the Valley besides the Panorama City and Porter Ranch locations. Both of those are way further from me than this one. Unfortunately this Walmart seems to have a problem keeping basic items in stock. Although that can be irritating, that is a basic problem. Why are they paying these people when there are people who would actually care about customer service? I have gone into the is store on 3 seperate occasions looking for tea tree oil. For those of you who are unfamiliar, tea tree oil is an antibacterial, anti fungal, and anti inflammatory. It's used for medical purposes. On 3 separate occasions, I tried to get help locating it. ALL 3 TIMES, BY 3 DIFFERENT. EMPLOYEES (the last being Albina), I was directed to the black hair care section!!!!! What!?!? Why??? Yes, I am black, but I wasn't looking for anything black or hair related! I was infuriated and offended. I let it slide the first and second time. I knew I shouldn't have. On February 14th 2020 I went to return a pair of headphones that were no longer charging. I was expecting it to take no longer than 10 minutes given the holiday. After waiting my turn in line a lady named Mahsa was waiting at the register. I approached and was not greeted or welcomed but instead looked at very strangely. I presented the headphones and explained I was returning them to which she asked if I had the receipt. Somewhat disappointedly she took the receipt I had and began to what I had thought process the return. She was inspecting every aspect of the headphones entirely and often glanced at me as if I was doing something wrong. I then remembered returning something before and having the displeasure of Mahsda helping me then as well because she did the exact same thing. Recalling the incident I asked what her problem was because I remembered she did the same thing before. She just smiled and said she was doing her job. Just as last time she said the product didn't match the box I brought it in. I told her that she was incompetent because she claimed the same thing before and was proven wrong. She had a coworker look at the item and he agreed with her. By this time other customers had noticed and it became embarrassing how I was being treated. A lady named ligaya came to help her out and was very rude to me as if I was criminal. I asked what the issue was and she snapped that the item code wasn't right and that the electronics person would have to check it. 30 minutes go by and I was extremely upset. A lady named Maghda had the headphones, box and receipt and said it did match and that she needed a manager to process the return. Now virgil regina and astrid came to see what the issue was and seeing my anger and frustration couldn't understand why it took so long or why there was an issue in the first place. Astrid apologized but I was to upset to respond. The return was completed after 45 minutes making me late for my valentines day dinner. I couldn't resolve the issue with my girlfriend and had a bad night. I am positive that other people havent had my experience at the west hills California location and I feel discriminated against. I will never return to this store or any Walmart location until this matter is addressed fully. A Walmart is a Walmart and this location does not differ greatly from any other but as far as SFV Walmarts are concerned, this one is probably my least favorite. They have improved the Crafting department which used to be next to non-existing. Seems like the Automotive Department is lacking compared to other local Walmarts. They also have some weird items locked in the despised Glass Cages of Inconvenience and Doooom; like Bondo and sandpaper, which is not locked in the display case at any other Walmart aside from this one. This wouldn't really bug me if it weren't for the fact that getting someone with a key to come open one of these cases for you can be a real chore. Last night I drive across town to this location to get body filler, which the other location had run out of, and I rushed to the back to find it was locked in the case. There was a Blue Polo in the next isle so I asked him to open it and was told "no" because he didn't have a key and didn't want to summon a key-holder because the store would be closing in 10 minutes. Oooook. Luckily my dad (whom I'd left in the dust at the store entrance because sorry dude but the clocks a'ticking and you're moving too slow) got the message I texted him and he found a helpful employee en route to the back who swiftly opened the case for us. Woohoo! Mission successful! Trip not wasted! Oh yeah, also note that this location doesn't have the full Walmart Grocery experience. Ya gotta go to Porter Ranch or Burbank for that magic. read more

She was on time and carried the heavy items upstairs to my apartment. Not easy. I recently had a full shoulder replacement and am unable to carry anything. I went to Walmart Fallbrook mall today to return a faulty car battery that was still under warranty. I explained to the woman in customer service, that every week the battery goes dead, and that its faulty, I've tried charging it four times and it won't hold a charge. She said she'll run a test on it, an hour later she said they can't tell that it could take up to an additional three hours. My friend who was kind enough to take time out of his day took me there only to have four hours of his and my time wasted. This is probably one of the worst Walmarts I have ever been to in the valley. The parking lot is packed, narrow, and full of awful drivers. Horrid customer service. Went there because the website said a vacuum cleaner was in stock. When I couldn't find it asked one worker who mumbled into his radio and walked off. Ten minutes later asked another worker who said we are out of it without even checking then he walked off to check. I love Walmart prices but... Sometimes I really dread going to this location because 1. I could never find parking that is convenient. 2. I never get a friendly greeting! 3. The bathrooms could smell better. 4. People that work here that are walking around the store Can pick up the items that are for sale OFF the Floor and tidy the place. 5. This is the worst place you can ever choose to get your purchases. I got bread, hot dog and cheese. Guess what? All of these were expire. Double check the expiration date of each item before getting it, as the people in this branch don't want to bother themselves by checking their goods. Why did i give them two stars instead of one? Hi, This is a better walmart than other I have gone to. The giggles difficulty is the going through the lines and God gorbid if you have to return somthing. First let's mention that this shopping center can be bomb. It has a lot of great shops and recently added a Sprouts - and they have a trader joes. Oh and now Ulta! Sweet. My point is, I think people come here for more than Walmart. This is a dirty store. You feel the grime starting from the pavement. The carts are old and clunky. The staff seen tired, and for some reason are all standing around talking to each other. No staff shortages there. The selection...eh. Most of the basic items like underwear and towels are well stocked and wide variety. Fashion items...well I think you know that status! The one really cool thing is the seasonal decor items. Super cheap that you want to buy a bunch of items and decorate on a budget. And that selection is amazing. From hand towels to garland to cups...they get you in the holiday mood! The lines are not bad. The eye care center had a good selection and are well priced. I ha to return something here once and had no problems. I prefer the store in porter ranch, but this is closer and had other great shops around it. read more

Not the greatest Walmart. Hardly had anything in stock in the Seasonal section. Fans, A/C units which they carry on line were not in store AT ALL, just a 5,000 btu A/C size which is worthless, but only $109.00 . I was looking for a 12,000 btu which we ended up purchasing at best buy including tax, and 2 yr extended warranty $421.00 (best price for the model we shopped it out) read more

Great Prices on food compared to Ralph's had to drop it a star due to the long lines and empty registers. Never had a problem with returning items nor asking the staff for help. They have always been friendly and helpful. The best buy I ever got here was my water cooler/heater. The normal water company wanted to charge me $180 just for cold water and the one I purchased at Walmart was on sale for $79 and it delivers both hot and cold water. The hot water is so hot I fix myself and my kids oatmeal in the morning in a matter of 30 seconds. The cold water on the other hand is limited to 48oz before you need to give it a few minutes to get more. The location has so so parking if you are willing to walk in from the garden section. The location is clean and the prices are great if you are on a budget. read more
