    Apple pie

Great little bar with some solid food. I spent an inordinate amount of time in the bar and the staff was tolerant and wonderful. 100% would go again (and have). Tried both desserts on the menu the apple pie was great, nice tart apples and lots of them, while it could have been warmer in was still excellent. However the spiced blueberry tart was my favorite. Lots of blueberries and flavor, fabulous! The food was solid bar food and the beer selection was large enough. Expect crowds during Philly games.

Kite & Key has been a neighborhood staple for a while! I hadn't visited in several years! The menu offers many options, but I see the favs items were still available (fish and chips) and they were tasty! The service was great considering how crowded it was (Rocky Race) happened on day I visited and our server explained what items were sold out and made recommendations! It was a bit loud overall, but it kept it lively and fun! The one note is they need to improve on the cocktails served-that was a miss with two drinks ordered (raspberry mule and whiskey sour)!

Thank you Katelyn for accommodating my family of 6 with ease! Loved the beef lentil soup and watching a variety of sports on the big screens! Great vibe and nice crowd!

Neighborhood dive bar. Good service by Rachel. Stopped by to grab a quick bite and a drink! Sat in the bar area. Got the "Philly Special" cocktail. It's pretty much a mule. It was decent. Got the margherita pizza. It was very basic and tasteless. Had more sauce than cheese. Won't recommend. Luckily, I wasn't starving. They have weekly specials - happy hour and "Wine Down Wednesday." Chill place to grab a drink but won't come back for food!

This place is conveniently located in Fairmount. Ended up going to the bar with a friend a couple nights ago. We shared a veggie quesadilla and got two different drinks. They have a darts game near the bar which was pretty fun to play. The crowd seemed like locals but it was cool that it was pretty empty for a weekday night (the place closed at 2am for a weeknight which is pretty nuts). Service was quick and the bartender was very attentive. The veggie quesadilla was pretty delicious and had a good amount of content ranging from corn to spinach. I would have preferred spinach wrap style but unfortunately they had only whole white wrap style. The drinks are strong yet very good. I highly recommend the Philly Special (Raspberry Vodka, Fresh Lime, Fresh Raspberry, Ginger Beer). I really liked how the Philly Special is also serviced in a copper mug (made me feel like I was drinking a Moscow mule instead).

Great staff and service!! Good stop for a burger and cold beer.

Our party thought the food was good, but not great. Except for the French toast, the portion sizes were small, especially given what you pay. I'd give the food 3 stars out of 5. However, our server was extremely friendly and came to check on us multiple times throughout the meal. He was funny and prompt to help us with the check as well. He earned Kite & Key another star for our visit.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries

I was in the neighborhood with some coworkers the other day and decided to go here for lunch. Been here before over the years as I used to live up the street. Standard bar vibe with the darker lighting inside and wood furniture. Able to easily sit since it was the middle of the day. Staff was generally friendly and waitress had good timing for bringing food & seeing how we were doing. I got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries instead of regular fries and it was pretty good. My coworkers also liked their food too. Would go here again for some food & drinks, and would want to check out the outdoor seating area they now have.

Five gorgeous beautiful stunning stars for the best veggie burger I've had in a minute...maybe ever! Did some shopping and was walking home in need of some eats. Saw Kite and Key and decided to give it a shot. Super cute outdoor seating for the warmer months and a bar area that opens up right into the sidewalk. This is a neighborhood spot that was pretty dead dinner-wise on the Saturday I was posted up at the bar, but likely gets a little more rowdy later at night. The veggie burger is fantastic. Deep fried cabbage, mushrooms and carrots with a delish horseradish aioli and covered in sprouts. I devoured all of it in like 9 minutes alongside a tasty glass of sauv blanc. The bartender told me the veggie burger has been on the menu since Kite and Key opened on Callowhill in 2008 and it is easy to see why. Such a good staple. I don't think I'll ever eat anything else here (veggie burger for life) but I look forward to trying more of their cocktails and posting up at the bar whenever I need a good neighborhood vibe. Thanks for a great night!

Great regular neighborhood spot. Bar is great for happy hour and an Eagles game. Fried pickles are spot on and the wings are solid.

Walked into a close to empty bar. Was clean and tidy and not too divey. Drinks were basic and ok. Didn't eat the food but heard it was okay. Founders breakfast stout was average. Moscow mule was tasty.

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

From the moment you step inside, the ambiance wraps around you like a gentle welcome. Soft lighting, warm wood tones, and a subtle hum of conversation create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly comfortable. It's the kind of space where you can settle in immediately, whether you're meeting a friend or savoring a quiet moment alone. The most recent time, I enjoyed the short bread sandwich--DELICIOUS horseradish cream. They have GREAT N/A drink options. I love their cheesecake. The service is consistently gracious without ever feeling over-rehearsed. Staff members greet you with genuine warmth, offering thoughtful recommendations and an easy attentiveness that enhances the experience without intruding on it. There's a natural flow to the way they interact--always available when you need them, never hovering--and it reflects a team that clearly takes pride in making guests feel at home. What truly elevates Tria Rittenhouse, though, is its beautiful design. Every detail seems considered: the artful arrangement of tables, the textures of the furnishings, even the way the bar anchors the room with understated elegance. The design strikes a balance between sophistication and approachability, creating a space that feels curated yet never pretentious. It's visually inviting in a way that encourages lingering, whether you're enjoying a glass of wine or simply taking in the surroundings. All together, the warm ambiance, gracious service, and thoughtfully crafted design make Tria Rittenhouse a place that's easy to return to again and again. We also got a cheeseboard to share, which was bigger than the server made it sound and not bad for a little snack between the 5 of us. Overall nothing was super special, but it was a nice spot to stop in and have a drink and a bite. Would consider coming back if I'm killing time in the area.

The tasting menu had three tiers you could choose from- $35, $45, and $55/person. We chose the $55/person option which included the full menu of tapas as well as dessert. They pick the most popular dishes to bring out to the table but also allow you to request any specifically that you'd like. By the end of night, we had a TON of food, even more than we could finish, and ended up trying at least 15 different dishes. All the food was great, with some of my favorites being the eggplant caponata (cold, very flavorful), scallops a la plancha, jamon & manchego croquetas, spiced beef empanadas, and the paellas. Favorite dessert was the chocolate cake, but we were received all the desserts other than the ice cream and sorbet. I may have liked the food experience less if I had ordered off the regular menu and only tried a few small plate, but I loved the option of trying so many dishes. By the time we finished everything, we had been there for over 3 hours (including lots of wine of course), which was really fun! The place gets packed on a Saturday night so we would not have gotten in without a reservation.

Ended up here by accident because I was window shopping with my 3 year old and he suddenly shouted…read more"I need to potty"...most establishments do not have restrooms available to the public so I figured our best bet was a restaurant and popped in here. The staff were immediately sympathetic, super friendly and helpful. Of course, as if I wasn't embarrassed enough, as soon as the 3 year old washed his hands, he shouted "I'm hungry" (is this sort of human I'm raising?). We were already in a restaurant so why not. Before being seated or looking at the menu, I asked for some fries to be put in and the waitress offered some chicken tenders. After finally looking over the menu, I don't think these are regular offerings so I appreciated them trying to be accommodating to a frazzled parent at dinner time. My vegan mother in law joined us and we were pleased that there were so many options for her. My absolute favourite (such that I had to order another round) was the eggplant caponata - perfectly sweet with a little bit of spice. It was so warm and comforting - exactly what I want at the end of a long cold day. My MIL's fav were the Brussels sprouts - they had a tang reminiscent of buffalo sauce and were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, textured heaven (extra bonus points for the 3 year old absolutely LOVING them - he redeemed himself). If you like hummus, try the spinach and chick pea cazuela. Squash is in season so I knew it was going to be delightful - the pomegranate was a combination that was new to me, but it didn't disappoint. We didn't try the roasted carrots (because my household is all carroted out for the moment) but someone one table over was gushing over them. As a meat eater, I have to say that the non meat tapas were standouts - I tried the empanadas, they were fine; I didn't enjoy the meatballs and I just wanted to order more of the eggplant caponata. All in all, I would definitely come back, maybe for drinks with friends or date night. The drink list looked inviting and nothing says intimacy like mood lighting and shared plates. The price (without alcohol) was very approachable - for $80 a vegan, a 3 year old and a frazzled mom left satiated.
