What I'd love to see more of, though, is a bit more kid-friendly options for those with little ones. We do enjoy the small green lawn near the fountain! But maybe some restaurants that have a centralized courtyard where kids can roam free. There's also some room for improvement to add less chainy spots and more local mom and pops to support.

And I should have been done already, but also went to Macy's and found even more stuff there. The choices seemed endless, but with a tight schedule, I was really limited to where I can go and what to do. But at least I found what I needed. One can kill time just by being here. It could take a whole day and some to get to see everything. Kinda jealous we don't have something like this closer to home! Good to know the convenience is here should I find the need once more.

Name the brand and you have it here.. lots and lots and lots of shopping to do. Also Starbucks, juice, shops, and other places to eat within this mall. After 25+ years…read morethey undertook a remodel which added a lot of new archetecual features like new planters with palms,ice rink remodel etc. but 25 years after that it needed a major freshening up and they did. Not only does the mall cosmetically look better but a fresh mix of small shops adds to a new vibrant feel. I'm really glad they took action and even more happy I noticed it. "This gift to the local community will be interactive and encourage guests to capture photos, learn about the important work of Community Partners of Dallas, inspire charitable giving and make precious memories this Fall." The pumpkin patch featured multiple photo ops including the harvest house, candy corn tree, cornucopia, land of mums, gnome village, prince owl, fairytale library, harvest cart and the wishing well. There were lots of people milling about, waiting for their turn to take photos. However, it wasn't super crowded and there was still enough room to breathe and enjoy the scenery. This was a great family-friendly activity and fun way to make memories. There was no admission fee, making this a great alternative to the Dallas Arboretum. The mall itself was huge and offers and a variety of retail shops, restaurants and entertainment options. I uploaded more than 20 photos, so I hope they all post with this review.

And today I was in luck as I walked along Garlands square - the most beautiful old sign glowed in the night like a beacon drawing me in - it is the Plaza Theater. I stood there in awe. Yes, it was a grand thing to see! And they have many shows there. I just missed Sleepy Hollow. I wish I knew about it, that would have been a treat to see in this theater. Looking at upcoming events I am already making plans to attend some of them. I truly cannot wait! With it being October, pumpkins and straw filled the benches with fall sweetness. And children were playing in the middle courtyard. There's something beautiful about children playing and laughing. so, now I must end this review with a quiet but meaningful statement - Downtown Garland has captured that small home town feel many of us look for.
